Logs
I had a lovely walk this afternoon and I finished off with this cache. A quick find here. TFTC duncast
Down south again today, this time to finish off the drive-bys in my 42K circle and get a few that don't need a lot of walking to get. Managed to find 17 but had 2 DNFs
A quick find in the obvious spot.
Thanks to duncast for putting out this cache for me to find.
*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*

A nice day for a walk around the gorge with geowife.
Made it way to this one which we found it in the open. Signed the damp and mouldy log and replaced where we think it should be.

This evening, I decided to head to Onkaparinga River National Park for a jog while the rain was holding off. It looked like my car was the only car in the car park (a sign that I was the only dumb person to visit today?), and I headed off along some of the tracks. A few kangaroos were spotted feeding around the tracks, including one massive roo hopping away as I approached while jogging. My only mishap was a slight twist of my weak angle on one of the rocks - it looks like it hadn't 100% healed since my previous injury.
I think I had completed most of these *Captain's log* series, and perhaps my last one now? A nice little lake nearby, and managed to go hunting in all the wrong spots until I saw the obvious hiding place from the right angle. The cache container was in good shape, but the logbook is looking a little ordinary and could use some TLC soon. Thanks duncast for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Forgot to mention the log was a bit mouldy and derelict... May I suggest it be replaced?
Enjoying the first geocaching with some muggles turned to the right side of the Force: geocaching...

Found it! After hesitating due to not big fan of the risk of having spiders climbing my head... Put the logbook back in the container!

Tftc! Cache is pretty bare, no treasures! When I get back to the area, I’ll be sure to bring a few Knick knacks to fill it.
Looking for somewhere to do a training walk we chose this park. We had a plan to walk the Gorge HIke but after going to the Sundew Lookout and following the trail down to the gorge, we got distracted following caches and ended up on the other side of the gorge and a lot further from the car than we had planned. Luck for us, there was a couple abseiling nearby and gave us a few directions to get back to the track. In all, we found 4 caches today and walked for 5 hours - it was a great day!
Walked a few trails in the Onk Gorge, targeting nearby multi-'s, and grabbed this one whilst walking. Interesting to see a large flat concrete area above the dam - maybe a platform for a pump to raise water to the Underwood Cottage at the top of the hill???
Found the cache in a logical spot, nice and dry (as it was pouring when we started walking). Log signed. Lovely area to stroll around.

Did 2 Captains Logs today plus a few others on a lovely Easter Sunday. Yes a stick of some sort is imperative TFTC
A short walk downhill from the car park & this one was soon retrieved with the help of my walking pole.------SL------TNLN-----TFTC

A nice little spot here and a quick find! Found while out on a Saturday of walking in Onkaparinga NP...

Found with TheBroodyChicken after doing a walk in the gorge. Good hiding place. Tftc.
Found with a friend who has never heard of geocaching. I think he likes it now! Cheers to more finds with this bloke
Nice day for a walk with friend from Brazil. No kangaroos unfortunately. Cache is little damp. Removed condensation
This was a chance find, and very exciting as it sparked off our interest and started a new family adventure
**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. In 2016 I cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. My log should match up with one of theirs. I enjoy every cache find I have made and do not for one second take for granted the effort going into each one, its just I'm very bad at logging my finds and I'm trying to improve. To improve I have to reduce the quality of my log and just get it over with -- for now. If I can form a good habit again I will return to my once more meaningful logging. Thanks heaps for hiding caches around South Australia that I could find!
A beautiful spot for a break after getting slightly lost in the Gorge. A nice obvious cache location as well. Another cool cache in this series.

Decided while I was in the area that I should get this one too. A walk down the trail from the suggested parking coordinates soon had me at GZ and a likely hiding spot was seen. Oh, wait, what's that on the ground about 4m away - looks like the original cache camo (see photo). Cache not with camo, but in its hidey hole. Log book signed, and camo returned to the hole with the cache. TFTC. 2/07/2016, 11:25 AM Find #2345
Whole day of caching out with sir-spectre and jacknor, this captains log was easier than the 5th, that log will come soon,

On a hike with about 50 cub scouts taking part in 2015 JOTT (Jamboree of the Trail) where scouts from all over the globe come together and hike on the same day. We dropped off the side of the track for a quick find. Saw a bunch of kangaroos hanging out in the trees and by the dam.

We found this cache after going for a bit of walk in the park today. This is the first find in this series for us, so we'll have to pull our finger out and get the rest now. Lovely spot for a geocache.
Thanks duncast.
Thanks duncast.
Ah the captains cache was found after distracting the nearby decoys, nice work Duncast, think you can train the Kangaroos to distract the enemy. The cute furries sucked us in, awww very sweet and they even posed for a photo shoot, which made Mrs Kookacrew pretty happy. Even Ride The Tiger snapped a few photos of these guys.
Out walking with Ride The Tiger on a lovely afternoon, he made Mrs Kookacrew "find" this one as he had previously, talk about pushing the boundaries, Mrs Kookacrew doesn't like poking her hand in things after almost stepping on a leg less lizard a few weeks ago, but a good poke around with a stick did the trick.
Thanks Duncast for another in this series, not that we are doing them in sequence. Tftc. Live on the captain.
