Logs
Looked everywhere but couldnt find it. This was our second attempt since about 3 weeks ago. Might try again some time!
I searched for a while before resorting to a PAF but in the end found it sitting out in the open 10m or more from where the GPS suggested. Log unsignable, left a replacement. Thanks Herbz and happy caching
Brought the bike for a ride on the flat tracks here.
Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies around.
Replaced the log as it was closer to pulp than paper, unfortunately I didn't have a waterproof paper.
Thank you Herbz for hiding this geocache

My friend wanted to go and see a movie but I was more interested in going for a walk in this nearby conservation area. We decided to have lunch together and then go our separate ways. I ended up with 8 caches, a LOT of kangaroos and even two koalas. This was one of the caches I logged today. Nice cache! Unfortunately the log was not in a good shape here either so I took a photo that I hope to upload soon...

Checked in on the cache as I was in the area with family. Cache still in play, nicely hidden as normal. Didn’t open the cache, but looks like log needs replacing.
Very sneaky. The log is unfortunately wet and couldn't be coaxed out of its container without risking destroying it.

After cleaning up at a CITO up the road earlier, Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo and I headed here to cleanup the caches along this trail. After coffee (of course). A gorgeous area, complete with hordes of 'roos, and muggles, but so much space to spread out that largely we all kept to ourselves. A good find here in the land of wet.
Thanks Herbz for entertaining me at this location.

29/5/21 Find #4814
Having attended Captain Terror’s Quarterly Cleanup #2 this morning, followed by a coffee with some of the attendees, Fangsoki, Pprime and I then headed here to complete Herbz’ HNT trail.
This one actually took us a little while before we finally found what we were looking for, with Fangsoki and I setting our eyes on the suspicious item at the same time, after Fangsoki had grown impatient with Pprime and my attempts to find it.
Thanks for the cache Herbz.

Checked up on this one today. Cache is high and dry but the way in is still a little wet. Log book is a little wet so dried it out.
Back for a longer walk in Coombabah Lakes and to find some more caches. After a bit of a search it was found. TFTC.
On a weekend walk around Coombabah reserve, I decided to find all these caches again.
I found the cache, all was well.
I found the cache, all was well.
It was Jedry who made the find here... I was too busy faffing about near the path.... cute container... tftc... this is also where we had to apply more bug spray...
Found with geo daughter DarthGerkin

I’ve come back! Finally found it, second time lucky. It’s also my 100th cache log was way too wet though!
Wow. Nice hide. Little further in then we were first searching. Follow hint and you will find it. Fav point for me.
I’m sure it’s here but with the light fading I think we panicked! Thanks to the last catcher who tried to help us hopefully we can come back to try and find it!
TfTC - located on opposite side of track compared to GPS location....log a little damp
GPS was all over the shop but sneaky camo was discovered after we widened our search. Then dropped the lid and spent even longer searching for that. Found and replaced, tftc
Whoops. Put that as a find, but we didn’t. Is about 200 m inside an area which has been burned in the past few days. Didn’t spend long but couldn’t see anything at the base of trees. Would be well worth checking.
This one was great!! Took myself and geoson forever to find it and my gps was bouncing around worse than a bouncy ball, but so worth the find. We had forgotten a pen so the pic will have to do ️
Ha haaaa. I looked right at it the first time. Coordinates are out but follow the hint and you’ll be right.
The last time I searched for this, the GPS gave inaccurate readings for the GZ.
The GPS was again out on this search, but (reading the comments and) knowing the cache was there, it was a matter of searching all the tree bases (as per hint) in a wider area.
The camouflaged cache was found, and even though the GPS stated it was ~10m away from the stated GZ.

Gps jumping around. Pouring with rain. Didn't really give this one a good chance to be fair. Loved seeing the kangaroos and one koala
While staying in Surfers Paradise with our caravan in order to visit with our niece and her family while they are holidaying on the Gold Coast from Adelaide we still found time to do this series of caches. A lovely selection of hides. Fav point alloc. Thankyou Herbz for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Great one! This one almost had me beat, my GPS was way off track. Nice hide! TFTC!
This was one of those moments where I was staring right at the cache at one point until the penny dropped and I was like, ahhhhhhh, of course. Awesome hide, took me a little longer to find but really enjoyed it when I did. Signed and returned, TFTC.
GPS bouncing a bit but found it at the end. Enjoyed my walk here in the area. I had big fun with the caches. Thanks for great placements and for bringing me here. I was glad to see so many kangaroos here for free! TFTC All good at GZ.
I was out for a day of caching today with Selva Girls and Mr & Mrs RoddyC. We spent an enjoyable morning in the wetlands, taking in nature and marvelling at the many roos. We found many creative caches making this a great spot to spend a few hours in the fresh air. Thanks for the time you've taken to place and maintain these caches Herbz
Out for a day of caching with storigirls and RoddyC. What a better place than the wetlands to go for a walk. There were lots of fun caches to be found here, along with a great variety of wildlife to watch. My phone had me searching in totally the wrong area for this one. Luckily, Mr RoddyC's phone was playing nicely and he soon had the cache in hand. With our names in the log, the cache returned to its spot, we continued on our walk. TFTC
We came across your cache, Herbz, on a Saturday geocacher day in the company of Selva Girls and Stori girls.
Mr RoddyC found this one quickly with his trusty Android! Now which log book to sign?
A Log signed and cache replaced at 11:02 AM on June 23, 2018. TFTC.

Tftc. This was very challenging. As I walked from Eastern Brown Chicken to Shores 3 - Koala, I stayed here at least for fifteen minutes with no luck. Then I was ready to mark DNF for this. But when I came back from Koala, I changed my mind and gave this one a new try.
And at last, I spotted some suspicious looking element and yes, that was the very cleverly camoed cache. First one of this kind for me. According to my GPSer, coords were off about 7-10m.

I had missed this on a previous occasion, but not this time,on to it in a flash a little back from gps was telling me.TFTC.
Friday 24 November 2017 - a glorious sunny Spring day in the high 20s although a bit breezy making cycling a but more of an effort than it should otherwise have been.
Found 12 from 13 caches (11 trads, 1 letterbox) after cycling over 12km around the reserve in approx. 3hrs. In total I cycled 30km over 6.5hrs to and from north High Street Southport, where MuggleDaughter lives, stopping off in Habour Town to pick up few things on the way home.
Loved the boardwalk trail best of all and the change of scenery between caches. Also should have heeded the previous cachers warning re: mosquitoes. MUST TAKE INSECT REPELLANT NEXT TIME. A favourite point for this series will be placed on the 'Gordon' cache - my favourite
This cache was 9m from GZ but true to the hint. Am sure that on another day GZ may be spot on? TFTC Herbz.

After contending with a persistent guardian lizard (that really did not want to back off), I finally got to search the base of every tree around the GZ. Yet found nothing.
Upon logging this cache, I note the other comments stated this cache was tricky. Thus I am guessing I did not search hard enough.

Wasnt sure which log book to sign when I found this one I think this is the first cache ive ever found with 2 ! . I just signed the one which had the most recent find logged on it .
Unfortunately we couldnt continue on to the next caches as time had ran out and it was time to go pick the kiddies up from school so we turned around and headed back to the geomobile .
Gordon is on the way back to the car
Thank you.

Well this was one sneaky little cache. With the use of the hint I was able to narrow down the search area and was relieved when I spotted it - phew
As I hunted the cache, there was an inquisitive local bird that came closer and closer, and I was surprised how close it came, all the while watching me. I was half expecting it to jump on my shoulder, and have a new caching companion.
Thanks to Herbz for placing this cache.

Great cache. Clever hide, so impressed. Didn't have a pen and too small to place a travel bug

Geodad went ahead for this one while the kids and I stopped to check out some kangaroos!
Dad still hadn't found it when we arrived but geo-boy saw what was what!! Loved it so much. Another favourite point to follow! TFTC

Headed down to Bris for an over night stay from Toowoomba hoping to build a few numbers to complete a goal before an interstate trip. This area was the goal for before breakfast on day 2 and this was stop 7. I was searching in all the wrong places for this one at the beginning and having to back away while a large pack of runners came through gave the GPS time to settle and point me in the right direction. After they had all passed through the GPS took me further off track then what I had previously been looking but this time it took me straight to the hide. TFTC Herbz
Nice one! Yes, as it said in another log - further off the track than expected. TFTC
Out for an afternoon of caching with MNANCE101 and we decided to tackle this series.
This one had us tricked for a while but was soon located. TFTC

Yes this one was a little tricky for us. We found it 11 m out by our GPS. It was a bit like looking for a needle in a haystack but once spotted we knew straight away that was the cache. A very well concealed and hidden hide indeed. Great work Herbz. Find 16/19.
