Logs
Continuing our walk, we are so glad we came to visit this area as it is exceedingly beautiful.
Plenty of mosquitoes around today, which took us a little by surprise, as we had done some paddling in the mangroves yesterday, and not being disturbed by them. A reminder to remember!
All good at GZ.
Thanks Herbz

I wandered back and forth a few times before spotting it. Log was tricky to extract. Thanks Herbz and happy caching
Brought the bike for a ride on the flat tracks here.
Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies around.
Qute one here, that's another fav point
Thank you Herbz for hiding this geocache

Ooh it took awhile, cause a possum knock it off [email protected] sitting properly
Pprime() and KBreeAHH went bush as I stayed on the trail. I have come to realise that I should let the professionals do their thing.

After cleaning up at a CITO up the road earlier, Fangsoki, 1MinnieMoo and I headed here to cleanup the caches along this trail. After coffee (of course). A gorgeous area, complete with hordes of 'roos, and muggles, but so much space to spread out that largely we all kept to ourselves. A good quick find here, simplez
Thanks Herbz for entertaining me at this location.

29/5/21 Find #4815
Having attended Captain Terror’s Quarterly Cleanup #2 this morning, followed by a coffee with some of the attendees, Fangsoki, Pprime and I then headed here to complete Herbz’ HNT trail.
I absolutely love the “Alan” clip, so couldn’t wait til Pprime and I arrived here, having left Fangsoki the leprechaun perched on a log at the previous cache, as his shoes were giving him some grief.
Arriving at GZ, Pprime began searching one area, and I headed around to another. I was not disappointed with what I found! However he refused to answer to Alan. Pretty sure his name was Steve!
Thanks for the cache Herbz.

Once again Jedry made the find here... I was at the wrong end despite the obvious geotrail... the lid is missing from the container but this doesn’t seem to have had an effect on the log...
Found with geo daughter DarthGerkin

Fantastic area for walking here. The step count grows so fast without hills!
Was out this way the other day and was going to get them then but had some stragglers with me, lol. So out here today, made it to GZ and spotted the cache. As soon as I got the cache I was attacked by a horde of mozzies so signed as quick as I could and put everything back as found. TFTC.
TFTC. Log is fine, and easily removed with tweezers This is a lovely area as I took a ride past kangaroos, wallaby's and even spotted an echidna.
What a cutie!! Coordinates were spot on for us and geoJay found it quickly. Once again, no pen today and the log was jammed down too far for us to retrieve, so not even a photo ️ tftc!!!!
No luck today. Muggles were out working so couldnt be discreet to keep looking. Plenty of mozzies. We even sprayed our clothes
While staying in Surfers Paradise with our caravan in order to visit with our niece and her family while they are holidaying on the Gold Coast from Adelaide we still found time to do this series of caches. A lovely selection of hides. Fav point alloc. Thankyou Herbz for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area
Return visit to the area of HNT. 3 caches on the list today. All good. Lucky we saw real Koala bear in the nature. Big joy and fun here. TFTC and for bringing me here!
I was out for a day of caching today with Selva Girls and Mr & Mrs RoddyC. We spent an enjoyable morning in the wetlands, taking in nature and marvelling at the many roos. We found many creative caches making this a great spot to spend a few hours in the fresh air. Thanks for the time you've taken to place and maintain these caches Herbz
Out for a day of caching with storigirls and RoddyC. What a better place than the wetlands to go for a walk. There were lots of fun caches to be found here, along with a great variety of wildlife to watch. Alan was found in his hiding spot and our names were added to the log. TFTC
We came across your cache, Herbz, on a Saturday geocacher day in the company of Selva Girls and Storti girls.
Alun wasn't around today, so we had to console our little friend with a few other names.
Log signed and cache replaced at 11:16 AM on June 23, 2018. TFTC.

Tftc. This took quite a time to find; shorts are not the best clothing for seeking this cache. At least for a foreigner with little experience from bushbashing.
Friday 24 November 2017 - a glorious sunny Spring day in the high 20s although a bit breezy making cycling a but more of an effort than it should otherwise have been.
Found 12 from 13 caches (11 trads, 1 letterbox) after cycling over 12km around the reserve in approx. 3hrs. In total I cycled 30km over 6.5hrs to and from north High Street Southport, where MuggleDaughter lives, stopping off in Habour Town to pick up few things on the way home.
Loved the boardwalk trail best of all and the change of scenery between caches. Also should have heeded the previous cachers warning re: mosquitoes. MUST TAKE INSECT REPELLANT NEXT TIME. A favourite point for this series will be placed on the 'Gordon' cache - my favourite
This cache was well in the bush and again I did fear that a snake could be hiding or slithering nearby particularly given the cache location. Used a stick and a torch to ensure that the coast was clear before retrieving. TFTC Herbz.

Found cute little Alan today. Glad I didn't bring a pen as I didn't want to stick my arm in to where he was to grab him. TFTC
Trying a few likely looking spots, I searched for Alan and was pleased when I saw him peering back at me. Extracting him from his home briefly, he obliged as I added my name to the log, and then tucked him safely back for the next finder.
Thanks to Herbz for placing this cache.

Headed down to Bris for an over night stay from Toowoomba hoping to build a few numbers to complete a goal before an interstate trip. This area was the goal for before breakfast on day 2 and this was stop 8. It was as I was walking to this hide that I realised I was beginning to run out of time and battery and I needed to move a little quicker if I wanted to grab the remainder on this trail. Good thing this one decided to pop out and say hi very quickly. Log signed and returned it was time to move it to the next one. TFTC Herbz
Alan! Bring more aeroguard! TFTC Herbz. Didn't have to google Alan. Know that gopher or whatever it was.
Out for an afternoon of caching with MNANCE101 and we decided to tackle this series.
QUick find, signing done and off we went.

Walking to this one we were all having guesses at what on earth an Alan Alan Alan might be. We weren't getting too far when Mrs EMC discovered her first tick of the day. Not having any tweezers with us Mr EMC just twisted it off with his nails; luckily it was little! Carried on to this one with no guesses on what we might find. Chikinlittler found Alan but we are still none the wiser what he is? Thanks for the fun. Find 14/19.
Cute little cache and was shown a video of Alan, Alan, alan by fgill_26 geowife on YouTube after finding it. Tftc
Great morning to walk a few kms with earthlight and pick up a few caches along the way
Orienteering event was also on in the wetlands today

Found cute cache with The X-Trailers. Brother in law has a few of these in his garden and wanted to take. We persuaded him otherwise. TFTC
Such a cute container to hide a log! After looking in heaps of logs around the actual cache, we found it! Tftc!
Grass was a bit long so being a scaredy cat of snakes I stayed on the track while geohubby went bush bashing. Found it! Took a photo of the cute critter. TFTC Herbz
Was hoping this was going to be my first ever find since recently being introduced to geocaching but alas Alan was hiding very well today but I will be back.....
Hey,cute little fellow, nature shows love these little critters, but this one was hidden well away from the cameras.TFTC.Herbz.
This one took us a bit longer than necessary to find. We soon added our name to the log once we had it in hand. After replacing it we headed back on the trail. It was starting to get quite warm so was glad we would soon be turning around to head back to the car. TFTC
Found most of the caches in this coombabah area but ones near the broadwalk 7 months or so ago. We came back about 3 weeks ago 1x skateboard 1x bike and found 1 caches and cracked it after having no mozzie spray, skateboard only on broadwalk not on gravel so we left. In the mean time kept a eye out for a geo bike and we found one. With easy no tool wheel take off and a shelf to hold our geo gear and save our backs. So off today after a well earnt sleep in, mozzie spray in bag and ready to go.
Found at 2.35pm took quite some time to find this gps kept bouncing around. Looked at a GZ Photo and saw the tree in the pic narrrowed down on GZ & found the cute litle cache. Favit point given. Saw this caches whole family in brisbane doing a month cache. Also gave that one a point so will nice to this lost one.
Thanks for the cache. TNLN. ST. SL
