Im back in Darwin for a week visiting family and today I met up with low1 for a third day of geocaching - this time south of Palmerston. With a recent burn off here, we made our way to gz without too many problems. A quick find - great to find an ammo tin. Logbook signed and replaced as found. All good here. We looked at finding the other one across the road but we decided that it was too scrubby today. Tftc
Out and about with Kolour mixing up the fun. All good here, fun find. Thanks for hiding. Happy caching. Cheers
Braved the road works with my own mini operation inferno. Stealthed up out of a side track and cut in along the power lines much to the road work crew's bamboozlement. I'm sure they considered reporting me for suspicious activity and could have had my very only police hunt...Thankfully vanished into the scrub before they had a chance to think it over too seriously. Recent fires have made access to the cache from the powerline relatively uncomplicated.A fitting receptacle at GZ given the story. T4TC!!!
Another fantastic insight into the NTs criminal history. I remember when this was going down and it was big news
Road works, didn't tryOur last chance to Cache before heading away. Thanks to all for the variety we have experienced during our stay.
On our travels we were staying at tumbling waters and were on our way to berry springs hotel for lunch when we though we would grab this cache, being Victorian we stayed well away from the water on the way in, found the cache in great condition and then casually walk back the easy way along the river, so much easier in the heat, a beautiful spot in our great country, thanks for placing this cache
We didn’t choose the easiest way to get to GZ but found it eventually What a great cache to mark our 50th milestone!
I don’t know whether or not crocs inhabit these climbs, but either way I don’t want to stick around and find out so we gave the water a wide berth I see some familiar, local legend’s names on the Geocache log. Well worth the effort (except we’ll be picking prickles out of our socks for a while yet!)
Lovely orange Grevillea in bloom.

Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and return. Today, we are riding Route34 looking for scenery, history, and geocaches. WOW what a story. Thanks Crocker Crew.
In Darwin with iluvtrekking for a revisit after eleven years. Beautiful weather and a great day to be out caching. Headed to the Cox Peninsula to do the Route 34 series and others along the way. Thanks Crocker Crew
Thank you for the interesting bit of police history, was a bit of a wild walk, wear closed in shoes!! Few little goodies in the tin - TFTC
Bit of a elk from where I parked but so very cool. Love these kinds of hides.
Found at 12:50:00 PM(t) GAFF1.
Wow - how on earth did anyone manage to find this guy in this bush! Also how did this guy manage to get so many weapons and what about food and supplies?
Thanks Croker Crew.

Thanks Croker Crew.
Thanks Croker crew a good hike to gz and a good size container. Fav point alloc. Enjoyed the cache notes.
Bit of a battle through the prickly bits but eventually got there. Saw a shark in the river nearby. TFTC
A great story which makes this series so awesome.
Socks cover are recommended if you go bush bashing ... I spent 20 minutes at the car removing the spikey stuff from my socks.
Great hide, Thank you.
A favourite point from me

What better way to spend picnic day than with a spot of caching. This is a terrific series - can't believe how much I've learned about the seamier side of the Territory. TFTC Croker Crew
Today we really excelled ourselves in distance travelled, lol! Moved from Batchelor to Tumbling Waters as we continue our meandering across northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. After setting up camp, we headed out to grab caches both towards the east that we didn't do on the way in as we tow rather a large van, and to the west so that tomorrow is a feasible day for us as we don't get big numbers in a day.
Find #7. I love the stories behind these caches. What an interesting place NT is! Left Pa in the car and followed your directions in for a quick grab. It was an even quicker retreat as the mossies were really fierce in there. Thanks for placing and maintaining this series of caches for us to find. Stamped log.

After donating half of our blood to the local population of mossies the cache was located TFTC
I was a little nervous heading to this one. Some wet areas along the bank of the river, had me thinking Crocs. Before long I was at GZ. A quick scan had the cache in sight. Log signed and back safe again. All good at the cache site. Loved the background storyline. Thanks
Find # 1025

Well what a trek. Prefect area for crocs to come up the bank. Found it with aidanosullivan.
Love the history of this cache and the location. Found in company of Adschopper and Charlie Boy &Joe. TFTC
Interesting background easy find. Taking a group of local and International TB's around the traps. TFTC
Another one in the series completed. Have enjoyed reading the descriptions of these law enforcement caches. This one was found after a short little hike along the river. TFTC and thanks for an interesting series.
Nice traipse through the bush didn't bring a writing stick and none in the box. TFTC
This was the first of many in a big day of caching for us.
Cache didn't take long to find and was in good condition.
Another interesting story in this series of caches. Thank you for the local history lesson, a favorite point from us.

Found it!!! Out and about with my GF Kym's Adventure we planned to do A big cache run today and headed out to do the Cox Peninsula Road collection including the Mandorah region. We could have had them all done but car troubles made us come up short!
Number 29 for the day and our last cache before heading home we ended up on the wrong side of the river but soon swapped over and had cache signed off TFTC

Today's mission is to cache the Cox Peninsular Road. We started at Mandorah and are caching back towards Darwin. BF DeFCoN_6 & I depart home @ 6:20am to make a day of it. Cache # 30 and it's now 6:33pm - this will be our last cache for the day. Thx Croker Crew
Today we explored Berry Springs and surrounds using geocaching as a guide. A very interesting story!! Took TB.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Wow!!! Didn't hang around here long, mosquito central!!! After a pleasant walk in and not noticing much in the way of pesky mosquitoes we thought we were clear of the bitey beasties. That false sense of security was quickly chased away once we stopped at the GZ. This is where the nasty critters were waiting for us to be still before they attacked with fury. As we hastily signed the log and retreated an army of mozzies followed us all the way into the car. TFTC
Found with Bexta. Warning as it's definitely mosquito central as they followed us out to and even into the car. Left some trackables I've had for a while in there. Hopefullly someone can help them on their journey soon.
In darwin for a month so trying to grab as many as possible. A nice walk through the bush but as I approached gz I could hear mosquitoes so the sign was performed quickly, cache in good condition. TFTC Croker Crew

Today we began 'Operation Clearout', finding some of the last few caches we had not previously found in Darwin before we leave town. Quite pretty along the river here (a bit of forbidden fruit to as there are signs saying the river itself is a quarantine area at the moment.
Cache was soon in hand and another one down.

We moved the caravan to Noonamah for 2 nights to cache in the area.
Another nice stroll into the bush, and another interesting story behind the series.
Thanks for the cache, Croker Crew.

2721 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 0920. Reparked the vehicle and off into the unknown again. An easy stroll to gz and a great surprise at the cache. A favourite from us SL Tnx Croker Crew.
After visiting the dam & doing a couple of other caches we came by here on our way for a dip in Berry Springs.
It was Hubby who took the walk down towards the creek bed then on to find the cache. He returned to tell me about the interesting content.
Thanks Croker Crew this is worth a favourite point

Perhaps this cache should be disabled (or archived) as the site is now a quarantine area.
See photo for details.

The Quarantine area is in place for Cabomba Weed in the river. The Quarantine area extends 5 meters either side of the river water level. The Cache is approx 30 meters from the waters edge and can be easily accessed without entering the quarantine area.
Found whilst visiting from Katherine for Oz day weekend. TN left match box 4WD. TFTC.

Glad we chose the right side for a bit of a bush bash then a quick find. Thanks croker crew.
Very happy to tick this one off the list and found it interesting to imagine the events that occurred here last year..... We were actually driving home to Wagait Beach that afternoon after two months away so were pleased to find he was no longer at large .... Great series Thanks Croker Crew
Bit more of a challenge this one as there wasn't much room to park off the road. A short walk through the bush and a quick find after that.

I always knew it was going to be a race... and if I'd gone to the correct side of the river first up, I'd have won.
As it was, I stumbled along the wrong side of the river, with the GPS compass needle eventually saying "sorry, buddy - you need to be 80 metres away and there's a (possibly croc-infested, deepish) river between you and GZ". So, backtrack to the car and off to the other side of the river. Meanwhile, that big, black cloud that had been visible drew closer...
Exit from the car and stumble through the undergrowth... and all of a sudden, I realised I'd come second in this race! Not TiedyeSmileys - the darn rain. Down it came - it was raining so hard that the inside of my glasses were streaming as hard as the outside. Not good.
I eventually found the cache (good hint, Croker Crew) and messed up what was a pristine log book with my scrawl and a lot of rain! It's amazing how wet things get in torrential rain even when you're trying to keep things dry.
At least I beat TDS's! Yea!!! FTF.
Getting back to the car was interesting, too, and a hurry-up in the form of a huge flash of lightning and almost instantaneous clap of thunder was pretty good motivation not to dawdle.
Doing a stock-take in the car made me realise that there wasn't a square centimetre of dry clothing on me... and puddles were forming on the floor and the seat.
Let's say the return trip to town wrapped in a towel with another draped over my shoulders was - well - interesting.
As this police operation was very recent and very topical, I'm sorry I didn't have the time at GZ to appreciate just how good the miscreant was in hiding out here - and how much better our tactical squad was, capturing him
