These days the road to this one is atrocious so have decided to archive the cache.
Out and about today exploring the area with the Geodogs, what a beautiful place. The serenity is perfect. All good here. Now, onto the next one for the day. TNLN TFTC
This our last day of our caching holiday to Canberra and Sydney, we are now basically targeting Adventure Labs and whatever TDOC caches that we can get to in a reasonable time.
We did the adventure lab in chiltern first and then headed in search of some TODC cacahes.
This cache was on our way so we weren't going to go passed without having a look.
It's a real shame that the original Bush Turkey is now extinct and even it's nest as missing not sure why these things happen but they seem to a lot in geocaching. We must have been too noisy coming in because we didn't catch the glimpse of the other turkey either, perhaps we had our eyes too focused on GZ.
Many thanks for setting up this nice hide on a beautiful area unfortunately not many birds at all around today.

Checked this cache yesterday on the way back from Hobbit Hole. The Endangered Bush Turkey has been stolen for a second time by some thieving so and so. After reading previous logs and discussion with LLRPP it seems to have been in 2021. Annoying in any case so will organise something else. The cache is still in place.
After checking out the below falls a few days back I was keen to keep exploring this area. Spooked a wallaby as I approached gz. Tftc!
My last days away. Great week away helped my mental health. Checking out the area and finding some caches. Great knowledge. Great hide.
I had a great day out in this beautiful area. Thanks for placing the cache. Great Spots. TFTC

We packed our 4WD for one of the hardest roads in Australia and headed out. We only had our eyes on this cache so we didn't get to test the rest of the road out but we enjoyed the challenge we faced. We pulled up to a sadly deceased wombat guarding the cache parking and some wallabies enjoying themselves in the gully. A quick hunt after the youngest geodaughter had the cache in hand and a smile on her face. TFTC and the second one of yours for the day.
Just another wee detour to the side of a hill over yonder. Happy. To see the forest opening up after driving past the blackberry choked gully. And what a road! No bush turkeys but glad to find the treasure. TFTC
Did wonder what we would find here. An endangered bush turkey, what else. We don't have thanksgiving in Australia so it should be safe for some time although Christmas isn't far off. Thanks for the cache.
Day five of Beechworth camping road trip with Papi4506, Geoturtle37 & RoamingHowie, working our way through various must-dos.
Cute hide.

Day #3 for me of the cache adventure with OzHockeyChick, GeoTurtle37 and Papi4506. Today we are off to hopefully complete the 4X4 wherigo.
Spotted the endangered species! Only got as close as necessary to sign the log and left the turkey to its local habitat.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

Lucky we drove in the hilux along this bumpy road. Always nice to explore new places. That bush turkey deserves a favourite.

Absolutely loved this novelty cache. That Turkey is still in excellent condition. Still going strong after all these years. Tftc Bettyboo3747
With Mr S on night shifts thought it would be a great idea to get geokid#3 out of the house. Loaded the car with the bike and headed off to Beechworth. Geokid decided that whoever found the most caches today would earn $5.. game on!!!!
This was our first stop today and I am happy to say that I located the cache Log signed and cache returned as found. Picked up a TB to continue its journey.
Thanks BettyBoo, another of your caches found.

Quick find after I got some service on the iPhone, the turkey was a bit shy today being the time of the year, it had nothing to worry about bit small for a meal. TB dropped . TFTC
Rookie mistake- thought we could take the metal art- sorry will be returning it in the coming days!
Found 10/4 forgot to log! Kids LOVED this. Great as our first ever find. Beware the biting bull ants though
Again, thanks for time and effort in placing a cache that entices me back to the area. Actually, I go back 25yrs when a mate worked on the transmitters that you once able to drive up to. Your right about the bitumen condition. Better off without it. haha All's good with the cache.
While Mr Morris was exploring the underworld of Mt Buffalo, Lady Morris headed for Wodonga to the event along with BettyBoo3747 collecting some caches along the way.
I am surprised the predecessor went missing - what were they doing out here anyway! Today she is safe and sound.
It was a fun day - thanks BettyBoo3747

Out this way to enjoy a drive through these hills and grab a few caches. Happy to find this little bird and hope that it doesn't become extinct.

We were extra sneaky today as we'd looked previously and not been able to spot her...found u this time u sneaky thing! SL. Kids made some swaps & we left with a big grin. We've seen our first endangered bush turkey!!! Exciting day for us! tftc BettyBoo
A cute little fellow ) and so tame too.
We loved her.
TFTC and we hope that she continues to sit on her nest

We were in driving this road to collect the 'Indigo Falls' cache nearby, but Mez was driving a bit too fast to make the parking spot for that one. SO, we continued on this this lovely find!
Teags walked straight past it, and Mez walked by it a short time later. It wasn't until we'd all but given up - with no phone service to check hints and logs and photos - that we spotted the endangered animal. It seemed quite content for us to scribble down our names and head back down the valley.
Thanks BettyBoo!

Had a busy week this week and had little time for caching! With indianagleeson feeling restless we set off to grab a few tonight

A long weekend and another trip with the geo 'rents and geobro'. What a cool way to spend Easter
Headed for Albury for 2 nights and then Bendigo for 1 night and we took each day as the caches came. A turn here, a turn there, a dirt track here and there and miles and miles of bitumen [^]
LOL, I've just seen one of geobro's cache logs and it reads very much like mine
Although he forgot to mention that he not so kindly shared his viral germs with geomum and I! [xx(]
Today (day 2) I found 76 caches and had 4 DNFs
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
What an unexpected surprise
A quick find of a cool cache made our day
I share your pain at the loss of your previous turkey, having had my goanna stolen from his cache
If only people could leave the pretty things for others to enjoy!

We're off on a four day geofamily (Geodad: moneydork, Geomum:Tounga, Geosis: locus cache and geobro: ME) road trip adventure heading to Albury and Bendigo. A lot of miles were covered, many sights seen, lots of laughs, mirth and merriment during the trip. Oh, we found a few caches along the way as well.
A quick find on the way to the Movie Mayhem cache series. This one brought a smile to the dial.
Thanks for the cache BettyBoo.

Thanks Bettyboo! Found this today after a Facebook tipoff. Pity about the last version. This chooky rocks though! Tftc.
Exciting stuff. I checked today and spotted a turkey on her nest. So tread quietly and you might find her while you are cache hunting.
Sadly, some thieving so and so has stolen the poor little turkey and the nest and the cache. Unbelievable - why would you do that? Checked today and definitely goneski!!! have replaced with a 1 litre container with the usual goodies - log book, pencil some SWAG - little Origami Envelopes and one of my mask pathtags. I hope to have this one back as it should be soon.
We searched high and low on the way up & back from the plateau but unfortunately couldn't find it today. Hope it's still here & we're just suffering cache blindness. We'll be back as this one sounds like a ripper.
Out with geobear9 doing some caches around the area today and when we seen we had the chance to spot an Albino Bush Turkey we knew we had to come and see for ourselves if we could spot one and find a cache also.
My little car went slowly along the road, lots of bumps and it was a nice drive in.
I couldn't help but think maybe I need a little 4wd for caching!
We parked not far from GZ and walked in quietly & low and behold we found an Albino Bush Turkey on a nest!!
What a cute little guy he is.
We even found the cache!
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for bringing us to a nice place and giving us the chance to see a bush Turkey!
Smiles all round.

I crept quietly in from the road on the humid summers day hoping to see the albino Turkey. My hard work paid off when I quickly discovered the bird nesting nearby. Stayed to watch for a minute while I signed the log book.
#1272 3rd of 33 finds today as we enjoy a day off work in the Yak area. As promised on the cache page if we were very quiet we may spot a bush turkey and we weren't disappointed as we tip toed our way to gz. A very nicely done cache in nice spot and surprisingly still green for this time of year - TFTC BettyBoo.
Now this one had us laughing as SOl de lune, CybergranV and I headed off in the afternoon together. Muggle Hubby had us parked close as his confidence soared in his new found ability to drive the beast wherever was needed. Thanks for the extra smiley here BettyBoo3747.
Yep, that sure is an Albino Turkey.
What a great cache.
It put a smile on my face and therefore earns a favourite point,

[:(!] Took two of my geograndsons for an afternoon of caching and this was one of them, parked the geoKa as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ it was a race to see who was the first to locate its where abouts, unfortunately it was not me but one of the geograndson and in a matter of minutes it was in hand.

The turkey has been safely returned to its nest now that the fire danger has passed. Dropped in a TB to keep the turkey company.
Came up to do some maintenance on "Indigo Falls" - which reminds me I need to re-enable that and thought we'd come turkey hunting.
In company of Daz today as chauffeur he dropped us at GZ to make a quick walk down. Big Ez & Mrs H couldn't spot the turkey anywhere..... Where had it gione!?! BettyBoo had visited just before us!
Maybe we will spot the turkey another day.
Many thanks for that cache - a beaut area we always like visiting.
Cheers!

on a stopover at Beechworth for a few days.
Joined up with lgoody again for a trip to Yack and back.
No sign of any muggles around and a quick find.
A top 4wd track in this weather & we had a laugh at GZ too.

We have started filling in our calender lately and needed a cache on Christmas Day. Due to our festivities at home we wanted to grab a cache that was a close P&G. Noticed the turkey which goes well with Christmas [^], so we were off to see if we could land ourselves another type of turkey for the day It's times like these that we are glad we have left plenty of caches to find in close vacinity. Took a Chrissy present up to give to the turkey but being a turkey ourselves we forgot to leave it and brought it back home lol Thanks for the fun BettyBoo!
Christmas day and an empty box in my calendar.
OK, let's find a close one if we can. AHA, a turkey cache,
sounds an aptly named cache for this special day.
Coruze and I went up the road to the GZ area and
spotted a likely spot. On closer inspection and without
scaring the turkey we did our signing.

I've driven past the caches up here all year but recently got myself a car that is a bit more suitable for the road to get here. A nice easy find at GZ. Tftc
Very cute!, although I think that's Rob's line really. Thanks for this and the day.
Called by and dropped in Diepie Duck to keep the turkey company. Also left a pathtag.
A early morning drive found me heading up this road to grab some cache`s this was one of 8 and a plessant supprise to see the cache gardian tftc cheers BB

Found this a weeks ago was a great day with Jacko* always lots of laughs. No turkey sited though lol
We had a quick lunch in Wodonga with team ff04 then we all headed of to get the caches along Ewarts Road. This was our first one and we remarked on what a nice drive it was along the way here, as we had never been this far along the road. After pulling of the road beside G.Z. We were able to locate the turkey quite quickly. As tasty as he looked we had already had lunch so he got off safely today.

Doing maintenance on the hobbit up the road, grabbed this one on the way, now we know where the hobbit gets his eggs! TFTC.
Another fantastic cache by BettyBoo. Loved the cache camo. Saw the turkey. It was delicious. Tasted like chicken, only bigger. Thanks for the hide.

2nd time up this road in 4 days. Handy to have a few caches locally to fill in the days of the year.
This one was a bit closer to the road than I anticipated.
Not what I was expecting at Gz

As it was a nice day for a ride on the bike we decided to get a few caches along the way. This was the first cache for the day and the first time we have seen an albino bush turkey. TFTC
Visited to check on the FTF GC - sorry to say it has gone MIA already, after only 4 visitors to the cache. Certainly not muggled.
A bit of a wander around the North-East today with Bettyboo3747, finishing up around Chiltern joined by Chewin.
When I arrived there was a turkey scratching though the cache looking for TBs and pathtags!
Not sure if they found any.
Very cute cache in a nice spot.
Thanks, Robmc.

Pretty much finished the Christmas preparations except for the last minute bits and pieces. Time for a little caching before the family arrives. Very humid day in Wangaratta, so hoped Beechworth area might be a bit cooler. Plenty of wind and storm damage along the road from yesterday's wild weather. Had to make our way past quite a few fallen tree limbs and debris on the road (apart from the patchy bitumen!) It seems Beechworth is lucky enough to get rain as well as wind, but at least it is cooler. Managed to catch sight of the rare albino turkey and locate the cache as well. Took: safety vest TB & liquid bubbles Left: Ring the Bell TB and a Christmas goose to keep the turkey company. Hope you have a very happy Christmas BettyBoo and TFTC.
Easy find and a nice little hide! This must be the worst sealed road in Victoria - why don't they just rip up the bitumen and use it elsewhere?
Took Madeira TB for the second time!
TFTC (nice to find a cache with 2 writing implements!)

#3431 We thought that we would pick this cache up on our way through to the event as it is easier access coming from Albury. Every time we travel up this road it is a little more "interesting" to navigate. We arrived at GZ at 11.00am and even spotted an Albino Bush Turkey.....pity we didn't have a camera . The cache was found nicely tucked away. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache - now off to the event
Arrived on the entrance road and within the first 100m arrived at "The Chops " cache stopper from last night.
We stopped and removed several large branches with enough room for the 4WD to slip by.
We had pleasant drive past some colourful birdlife for the and soon arrived at GZ . A wallaby hopped off in the bushes nearby on the trail to gz and we soon located the stash.
Signed the FTF page around 9.30pm before moving off to the Beechworth event.
Many thanks to BettyBoo3747 for the cache and Beechworth event. A great day out had by all.
Gave it a favourite tick as well.

A late night FTF run was put together once this one popped up. Unfortunately the 4WD had a bad case of flat battery, so decided to take the SS and just take it easy on the rough surface. Unfortunately a downed tree, 2km from the GZ put paid to those plans. Without the gear to go over, or pull it out of the way, I had to admit defeat.
