Did the one in the park. Thought this isn't far. So started the walk. Wow what a view. Didn't find the cache. Next thing me maybe.
Found it. Nice hike up. Used the revised coordinates and dug around a bit and bingo!
Guess what...I think I approached via the longest route possible for this cache (par-for-the-course). Not all bad because it was a great walk and with a gin-clear morning the view was spectacular.
Nothing looked good at GZ so I reread the logs and decided to use the revised coords a previous finder had kindly logged. Entered those into the GPSr and not long after I was on the money. TNLN, SL and visited some geocoins. TFTC Hoojar.

Great walk and views TFTC!
Thongs however are not the best choice for the steep walk down!
Cache in good condition.
I was hoping to use this cache in a forgotten series as its been a while since a accurately logged find. I was wondering if CO could look at when the last finder with their generic log actually found and amend the date??
Photo attached with past finders over two years.
Thanks in advance The Wheatbombs 3

Signed back in to the gc website. Backlogging a majority of finds over the last year. Started my own account and it's time to sync it out. To avoid confusion I wont change the date logged. Send me an email (via profile link) or a message in the message centre (also via profile link) if you have any concerns.

I couldn't find the baseball field, so instead i found a vacant lot to make my way up to the peak. I managed to find a narrow, Lantana overgrown track up to the water storage facility. Somehow a ute had been driven up the same way (long before the Lantana took over) , and someone had made a swing out of sheet steel and wire.
After a few goes searching in and our of the bushes around gz and the alternate coordinates until i found it.
Thanks for the cache.

Suburbs' cache - how hard could it be?
After finding the baseball/softball arena, I started the walk.
Got to the top no worries, found the cache with alternative co-ords, and made my way back down
Downhill + Thongs = Doesn't work.
Nearly fell butt first into massive mud pile.
Then with muddy/slippery feet I made it further down the track.
And just before the rocky section, I had a thong blowout, not just one, but both!
So I 'painfully' took the rocky incline with bare feet.
Thanks for the cache! great views

A pretty steep climb up to GZ but worth it for the views. I also used the baseball field entrance to the area and found a track up the hill. I took both sets of coords based on previous logs just to be sure but it still took a while to locate. TFTC.
Should be difficulty 3 terrain 4. Pro tip - don't take your 3 kids under 6 years old on foot like I did. Also coords off, only found thanks to the comments. Base of a tree?? More like base of the brambles. Just thankful
I came up from Shearwater, between two houses, and followed what appeared to be a rough driving trail through the lantana.
At the posted coords I found a tree and lots of evidence that cachers had searched here, but came up empty handed. Then I used BlacknWhites coords for an easy pick up. Their coords are S-- --.413 E--- --.758. Some great views from up here.

Cache took us 4 hrs. I do not recommend driving known local tracks. My car slipped off and we doesn't many hrs waiting for mates to come help while we remained held to a tree by a snatch strap, nearly tipping over .luckily mudpig and Dslme knew exactly where we were and could rescue us. A walk to this one if we come again will be the option. Co-ords we 8m off but cache was easy enough found. Tftc
Found after a long walk to the top
Once there I was fooled by a tree that looked like heaps of people have been looking! Anyway thanks hoojar for the hide!

Ahhh much a miss-spent youth up here in the 4wds and trail bikes love this place nice night as you could see the bush fires near picton burning away with an earey glow as for the cache glad to finally knock this one off we cheated a little by driving most if the way tftc
Another find in the series. Also came from Shearwater drive and it was a good walk on a windy day. GPS had trouble settling, but after a few minutes searching the cache was in hand.TFTC.
We also went in from Shearwater drive and found it very easy going.
Haven’t been up here since I was a teenager and I don’t remember any of this scrub around then.
The cache may have moved from its original location but we found it at S34 28.413’ E150 51.758’
You’ve got to love the view from up here. You can see for miles and miles.
Thanks for the cache Hoojar.

Somewhat frustrating, this one. I followed Ironbark's instructions, but I'll be very impressed if he can do that walk in 5 minutes! Anyway, was soon at GZ despite the recent rains making the path very slippery. Very nice views from up here. Noted people's comments about 13M from GZ and looked around for items matching the hint. Tried some nearby easily-accessed ones but they were well away from the 13M mark. The nearest ones were buried in long grass so bashed my way in and crawled around getting filthy and no doubt being bitten by everything with 6 legs, 8 legs or no legs. Retreated to ponder my options and soon found it hidden near more of a shrub than a tree. Managed to make it back down the slope without falling over, despite a few very close calls. All good fun in the end I suppose, thankfully getting the smiley! TFTC.
Nice 5 minute walk if you park at 119 Shearwater drive and walk up the concrete foot path then follow the road around before a short walk up the hill.
Took the tip and focused my search at 13 m from GZ. There ar 3 possibilities. It was at the 2nd one for me. I have always wanted to come up here for a look as it is visible from all of the Illawarra.
Tick that one off the bucket list.

OMG nota walk for the feint hearted with 5 geokids in tow endured some whinging and whining and once at the top thought our search was going to be fruitless but persistence has paid off and once again geoLily has come through thanks to those posting earlier that co-ords are 13m out this was a great help TFTC
OMG AGAIN WOULD YOU BELIEVE WE DROPPED THE CAR KEYS AT TGE TOP AND POOR GEOLILY HAS HAD TO GO ALL THE WAY BACK UP TO RETRIEVE THEM
Found today with Keegos. Unfortunately, none of us knew the area very well so we had absolutely no idea where the baseball fields were so we just parked our car and began walking. I wasn't ready for such a climb so I had super sore feet by the end but it was definitely worth it. The clue was very helpful and the view was lovely. Thanks for the adventure.
Well. That's my cardio done for the day and my final in this leg of the series. oh, and don't let anyone tell you this one can't be done fresh after rain. You only fall over twice in the last fity metres! Thanks hoojar

Quite a climb this one - but the view makes it worthwhile. Glad I didn't come from south - that would be quite frustrating. TFTC
Planned on just a recon and waiting for a cooler day but after parking, next thing I knew I was half way up the steepest of the hills! If I turned back now, I knew I wouldn’t be keen to try again so pressed on as the hot sun broke through the clouds. At least I achieved a goal with an easy find at the top. (btw Cringila only has one L)
Another caching day and another early start. 4:45 and with the aid of torchlight I made my up the hill to GZ. As other cachers have mentinoined, GZ appears to be within the confines of the fenced off area. Taking notice of Hoojars hint that this is not the case, I looked nearby and found as the Rats mentioned at a distance of 13m from GZ. Signed the log and then watched the sunrise over the steelwoorks.
Thanks Hoojar for the series ( I think I have one to complete of the current active series). Looking and hoping for this series to be extended North in the future, obviously when you have the time.

With a bit of time to spare this arvo I went out in search of a few more suburb caches.
There was time for one more cache and I teamed up with steeba for a walk to GZ. It was here that we observed many great hiding spots for future caches.
Once at GZ we were surprised to be some 13m away when the cache was found.
Thanks

A nice walk out with The Rats this evening to get this one. I never really knew this area was here until I sussed it out and hid some caches further down the hill. TFTC!
Defenitely the hardest in the series for me sofar! First, I still have no idea were that baseball field is? My entry point was from the Cringilla community park, were I first passed an old tricky cache from Steeba. From there I took several tracks, went across field, did some bushbash and a decent climb to get to GZ, but indeed I did not cross a fence!! At GZ the coords wanted me on the wrong side of the fence so was left to search a larger area and succeeded in the end!

Have I mentioned I hate Lantana. Lucky not to get too caught up. Joined the hunt today with J+J.au. and Chalk! We ended up having a fun day even if it did get a bit hot. SL..TFTC
