Have decided that this doorbell night cache has become too expensive to maintain - will open this area up for someone else.

This cache has been bugging me for a while,
like a mozzie attracted to the porch light Razz

I tried to track this one down last year,
and today took a stroll up the hill again to see if I could find the cache in daylight.
And up near the end of the trail I followed last time,
I scouted around and found something that looked suspiciously like a cache [?]

Dunno if it was or not !!
Description of said item is,
a round metal tin which probably contained those delicious chocolate and pastry sticks,
or maybe those equally delicious cheesey spiral sticks,
that everyone buys at Christmas Smile
Said tin had been 'camoed' by application on black, cloth tape.
I discovered the tin lying out in the open,
and devoid of any contents Sad

Sound familiar Frozen Feet ?? or is this cache still findable Smile

23-May-18
Hmm, round tin was definitely not the cache container. But given the length of time since the last find, this cache is due for a check anyway.

Started this awhile back by solving puzzle, but never got around to going to GZ. Then a lil while back we only got so far and ran out of tacks. I must've forgotten to log and or write to the CO about not chiming in at the end...
With a nudge that the coords I had got so far too were in fact close to the GZ, stopped in this arvo for a quick find of the penultimate point, which is the last of the aisle lights. Some are on the ground. An easy hunt in the daylight revealed the goodies. Alas the chime did not sound, so had to use geo-sense...

Thanks for the cache Frozen Feet

After walking and grabbing a few others in the area, we swung by this one on the way back to the geo-vehicles. TFTC. 3/09/2016, 9:58 AM Find #2735

I had earned enough brownie points to have a full day of caching before attending Snap's 50 Candles event and celebrations. All I needed was a some caching buddies. The forecast was for a bit of rain and seems everybody was busy elsewhere. Anymules was always up for a challenge. Cool So he chose a target cache and I chose a target cache to get on our travels. [^] I drove down through the rain and fog and we met down in the car park of Morialta to start our expedition. Razz
The puzzle was solved fairly easily. All that was left was to find the cache. Already buggered from carrying in a a portable telescopic elevation device to grab two other caches in the area I was none too pleased to be walking back up hill carrying it. [:V] Although tempted to drop it and collect later I had no idea where I might end up so it came along. Fairly soon Anymules had found the prize and I joined him some log signing. Smile Another wonderful multi. Thanks Frozen Feet. Big Grin

Out and about with RideTheGeoWalrus after doing another nearby cache. Found the cache without too much trouble. TFTC

28-Aug-16
After tackling the nearby Cachy Bird, jambochicken and I headed off on a detour to grab this one, since bek-theraccoon and alex-thesquirrel had already grabbed this one on a previous outing. I had done the puzzle work a long time ago, and with a pretty big hint found this one exactly where a seasoned cacher would expect to find a cache. Only one more of the EKN series of caches left to do for me. TFTC Frozen Feet!

Hanging around Morialta - stayed awhile for the evening.
A bit creepy with someone camping among the nearby olives!!! Twisted
Hunted around the more obvious spots, couldn't get a tune so hummed to myself Wink
Didn't let it stump me though Cool

Find 2263
Found up a hill with FeatherWaite, we had solved the puzzle a long time ago in preparation for a night-time assault, but found ourselves in the area today.
Decided to have a look at the starting location then wondered just how difficult could it be to find a fire-tack in daylight? We stumbled around "in the dark" until the usher was found but he was unable to help us as he was on sick leave.
After stumbling around a bit more "in the dark" the cache was found.
Thanks to Frozen Feet for the dark adventure.

Found during a clamber up a hill with Bob from Elsewhere. Solved the puzzle a long time ago in preparation for a night-time assault, but found ourselves in the area today. Decided to have a look at the starting location then wondered just how difficult could it be to find a fire-tack in daylight? Searched around a bit, actually quite a lot, before locating a very nicely camouflaged tack (a minute brown cube on a vast brown background). Thought that if we found one, we could find another, so off we headed. After inching our way over the hillside, we finally located the usher, then the hide. Thanks for an eventful challenge Frozen Feet!

Calculated the starting position with the help of Google. Night caching with PoPtart and RyeRye. We stumbled across a Kangaroo and heard kukaburras in the distance. The trail was followed without problems. At the final reflector we found and pushed the button but heard nothing. A quick search of the area and we had located the cache. Thanks for the cache.

The trail was easily followed but unfortunately no music was heard. However we found the cache after a quick search around the button. Thanks for the cache

Found with OZmilo and Poptart. Beautiful views of the lights from final. Thanks for the cache.

Found at 21:21 by Olga, with Fay and Ian, for our 4500th find. Another great night cache. A bit shorter than we were expecting, but the perfect night for it.

Another awesome FF cache. A nice walk on a beautiful balmy evening with Bek-theraccoon to find this one. TFTC

I've had the solution to this cache for a few months, so it was great to finally make the trip to GZ and claim the smiley

Unfortunately the concert wasn't on tonight, so we admired the concept and were on our ways

Found with Alex-thesquirrel, dropped off Geocoin, TFTC Smile

Fun night walk, easy to follow. Disappointed no to hear the music - new batteries probably needed! Met two kangaroos as we left.

Clearing needs maintenance icon as cache maintenance has already occurred.

It took us a while to work out how to open the church door, but once it was open, we had no problems finding our way to the correct isle. Soon the orchestra was in full swing.
TFTC - Nice cache.

A fun night for our "nacht bande": Moneydork, his son and I (Tounga and Skippy stayed in the safety of the house). When we arrived we guessed at what we were supposedto do but our search was fruitless. Then I read the hint,,,, lightbulb. Prolly shoulda done that in the comfort of the house. Hooray for smart phones and cut-n-paste! We were placed back on the correct path. The cache is in great shape and works as expected. Fun! I extended my current streak to 12 days but more importantly, another very fun night cache completed! Thanks Wibbles!

If a man shoots a lion in a zoo, would you still call him a hunter? I AM A HUNTER!

Made an extra challenge of this and decided to head out for the matinee performance. It was a little warm in the theatre but I was able to spot the ornaments and inevitably the subtle trail took me to my seat at the back of the amphitheatre. The music rang out at GZ for all to hear, it just that I was the only one with a ticket for this performance. I've just realised I've been doing this series in reverse. TFTC Wibbles.

Miss GG and I had this one on the list for a couple of weeks trying to find the right time to do it... Tonight was perfect the nice was so warm and a lightly spitting with rain.

We started off up the wrong path.. but composed our self's and made our way to the start...1/4 way up we were stuffed already since we already climbed the other hill tonight. We paced our selfs and made it to the device.. We had not read the recent logs and didn't know this was disabled.. we spent ages running around trying to listen and looking to find tell tail Geotrails.. Luck Miss GG had her night vision goggles and stumbled on the cache!!

What an adventure.. well done.. pitty it didn't play the game for us tonight that would of been heaps of fun...

Wont stop me awarding you a fav..

Thanks Team Wibble for the cache and the adventure Very Happy

Until next time - First thing you know I'll be back in Bow River again

After solving this one a while ago, tonight we decided to take advantage of the warmer weather and set of for a cache hunt Smile After we ignored the gps and walked up the wrong track Red Face we eventually got back on course. Im positive my Legs, Butt and thighs got a great workout walking up this steeper hill Smile Got to the destination and found the call button but heard nothing Sad but we had a look around and found what we were meant to be looking for Very Happy It must have been our lucky day Very Happy and very happy to come away with a find Smile Thanks Team Wibble for the cache

Having solved a similar puzzle a few months back this one was a walk in the park. After attending a nearby BBQ three teams Tardis, Scoobster and us frogs set off up the hill, found a couple of tacks on the ground a little mtce and they were put back in place at GZ we listened heard some crickets, pushed again more crickets, eventually found the cache after spreading out BFE style and was soon rewarded with a find. TFTC

After a BBQ a the Scoobsters it was decoded that we'd go on an adventure and find this nearby night cache. Along with Mr froghoppin we enjoyed the warm almost-spring night and marched up the steep aisle to the back stalls to row ZZZ.

Mr Tardis pushed the button a few times, but the orchestra had gone on strike. Fortunately Mr Scoobster found the cache not too far away. Another great Wibbles night cache ticked off the to-do list.

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Team Wibble.

Dammit! Hopefully it's just a battery issue. Will check soon, and if batteries don't solve the issue then another alternative might have to be found.

17-Jul-13
Solved this little puzzle when it was first published - nice change to be able to say that!
But it took the 100 days of continuous cacheing challenge to get me out at night doing it though Red Face

Had no problems with the performance however those ushers ar a bit slack at the moment (and it wasn't just the wind distracting them!
Fortunately I was able to find the final cache without their assistance [^] then it was a quick sign the program and drop in a pathtag before heading home to the post performance meal.

Was a bit surprised that this cache hasn't had a few more visits. Not that hard as far as the walk is concerned and it's definately a fun hunt.
Cheers and thanks for another fun night experience Wibbles

The sun had gone down but there was still some light around. The super bright LED Lenzer was strong enough to ignite the fire tacks. JUST. My friends torch was not. P7's rock.

A stroll up the gentle slope saw us walking, pausing, and at one point there was almost too much light - but AHH, there...and we kept going.

We found the spot and the began conducting. The orchestra limbered up. Much as they would have in the first movement. A little rusty to start and there was too much audience noise to hear anything. We asked the audience to be quiet. The violas were a bit soft but you could just hear them. The wind section go louder as we lent forward, just enough to make our heads turn.

Noice. Lovely.

We applauded and they then played it again. We then signed the visitors book.

Thanks to Team Wibble and clear skies from TeamAstro.

Solved this one the day it was published, but only got to it tonight with my muggle brother-in-law in tow. Finding the call button was easy enough, but we could not hear the symphony, so we began searching nearby. Eventually found a likely spot, and there it was. Pressed the call button directly above it, and could very faintly hear the music coming from below. Checked that the music player was OK, and replaced. Still very faint. May need to be set up outside of it's box. TNLN. TFTC. Big Grin

I had initially hoped to entice a few people to join me in a rendition of this piece after the 12-12-12 event, but everybody I asked felt they were unsuitably dressed for a venture up the hill.
I resigned myself to the fact I was probably not going to have another chance of being in this area at night for quite a while. As it turns out I only had to wait two nights for my second movement….

I noticed Freddo had performed the cache movement by himself, so I decided to play this piece solo as well. The last note I played was a bit of a bung note, hardly audible by the audience, but all up it was a great execution of Mozart’s most famous piece. I just wished I could stop humming it whilst walking back to the car…

oh yes, I dropped off a little TB as well

Woot. Cache gefunden und protokolliert. Danke für den Spaß.

Email received at 10:39pm.
Signed log book at 11:15pm.

The Fluffy household went into full swing upon seeing a new night cache published. The puzzle was quickly solved and the Fluffy's were on their way, excited by the chance of another FTF in the Nachtmusik series. The fire tacks were easily spotted as we walked up the aisle to the back stalls.

We called for the usher but due to very strong winds we were unable to hear the ushers calls. We explored the surrounding area and soon found a likely hiding spot which was confirmed when we again summoned the usher.

Took: sticker
Left: mini deck of cards

Another fantastic Wibble cache,
Thank you Team Wibble!
