Logs
Time for this one to be put to rest now. Lots of construction occurring and with the wet weather of late, the original GZ has been compromised. Thanks for all the logs people.
Came with Graufenberg, neither of us were able to locate the item. Perhaps needs to be checked? Cheers
Unfortunately this one eluded me. Given that this cache hasn't been found since early January I think the CO needs to check on it.
More bloody barbed wire fences, I'd like to have the rights to sell that dreaded stuff in what appears to be the barbed wire capital of Australia, Canberra.
No cache could I find, maybe it's gone?
No cache could I find, maybe it's gone?
Dark Passion Play jumped the fence for a quick park and grab. I'm to old for this physical stuff! TFTC
I didnt want to go under the fence or take on the barbed wire so I walk down to where I could step over the fence
Went back for this one with baby&Mrs gopher as we missed it the other day. Sent nan and the geokid under the fence and soon had it in hand! TFTC
5189 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1620 in company with fizzgig&lyric. For some reason this didn't come up on the cache page when we did the nearby cache a couple of days ago. But on checking it was there to be found this time, and we can't let a cache go by. Kayley with the Mrs went under the obstruction and with the pole soon had it in hand. SL Tnx Rapidlywild.
Quick caching run before work, got a little dirty at this one, but lucky it brushed off Nice easy find, fence wasn't too challenging lucky I'm young! Make sure you use the pole to the right of GZ to help get over.
I took the TB that was in the cache, and left a TB that's all the way from Berlin! Thanks

Arrived near GZ, negotiated the barrier, looked in, looked around, looked in, ...
Hmmm, tricky, resources required, resource found, ...
Cache eventually retrieved, log signed, TB left, cache returned, ...
Barrier negotiated, drove away, streak maintained, TFTC.

Needed to make a sojourn to this side of town so took the opportunity to also clear out a couple of easy caches with Takibi.
Upon arrival a couple of muggles outside admiring (perhaps?) a recent purchase so we headed down the path to a nearby cache meaning we thankfully approached this one from the correct side of the fence the easy way. (It'll probably never happen to me again!) Soon spotted the blighter but how to get to it??? Thankfully (yet again) I had my caching kit with me, so between dooby-whacky-pokey-things, thinga-ma-jiggy-bendy-bits and the fact that Takibi was willing to get down and dirty, the cache was eventually to hand. Nice one.

Out on a suburban cache run with mr_roo. We pulled in here and I went under the fence and I could see the cache but couldn't reach it. Is it supposed to be so far in? Pity I didn't have one of my trekking poles in the car today. I will have to come back as I didn't sign the log. Thanks anyway, I'll be back
Argh - a muggle was fixing a bike right nearby, so there was no stealthy way of accessing the cache. We skipped it rather than give curious muggles something to steal...
A 17 kilometre walk around Ngunnawal and nearby suburbs searching for caches. Found 30 caches for the day and only three failures one of which was impossible to do as it was in a construction zone. Nice walk and being a south of the laker, an area that I have not been too. Lots of workers nearby. TFTC.
Found it. Can see it, but not game to stick hand so far in log. bit of a "snakey" vibe.
found yesterday with geomum. I crawled under the fence for the cache, but disappointed there were no cows to chase! we had to walk a bit extra to distract a muggle and his dog. TFTC
Got the geoson to do some parkor to get this one! Easily retrieved once the fence was navigated...
Not sure how long this cache will remain given its proximity to housing and the fence navigation

Did a clean up here today after attending the CITO event at Casuarina Sands. The need for a clean-up here was much greater. Being on the edge a development work, a *lot* of rubbish was around, so it was a good way to pay it back. Hope it stays tidy for a while now.
Had a bit of fun trying to get from the previous gc to this one. Went the long way round unnecessarily in the end. tftc.
Not sure about having to climb over the fence. Is this private property? Gingerly made it across and then it was an easy find. All in good condition. The cows haven't got it yet!
Thanks Rapidlywild
Thanks Rapidlywild
Didn't want to jump that, and it looked like a long walk to get around (if at all). Getting cold and late, so gave it a miss.
That was a nasty fence. The family jewels objected to my climbing over it, so I went around it. Good hide. TFTC.
Couldn't get over or around the fence - the log was only a metre away but I don't jump barbed wire fences at 70 years old.
Took a bit of climbing to get to the gz. This will get harder as the houses fill up. TFTC
The fence nearby is quite high. Lucky I had my geokid to launch over the fence and retrieve the cache.
This afternoon we toured the many new suburbs in the North Canberra region.
Saw many new houses, some area with fantastic views.
Found this cache on our drive. Please beware of the barb-wire .
Thanks for placing this cache Rabidlywild

Quick find for us, Touring Canberra today in company of Baja15 and Wilbert67. Finding many interesting caches along the way. The weather seem to be holding out, little bit of rain but not enough to stop gaining smileys. TFTC
OOUUu.. The rain is really coming down now, coats on.

Enjoying our caching visit with friends in the area and soon had this one on my found list. thanks to J+J.au and Wilbert67 for the fun. SL..TFTC
On a caching hunt in Canberra with J+J.AU and Baja15. Lots of caches, lots of rain, lots of kangaroos and heaps of fun!

Forced to do some christmas day caching in the rain. Sent dad over the fence for this one!
Firstly the cache is three metres beyond a fence line which required crawling under. Then rhe cache was halfway up the fallen log. It required a lot of effort to get out....sheesh
Quick find with Justjessie on a glorious Spring after noon. However there is a fence in the way. CO might like to check that access to this area is still OK??
We decided to head over to this side of town to do some caching today. It was a good decision as it didn't rain over here. TFTC
Our tenth find for the day as we go for our 500th find. The hardest part of this cache was scrabbling under the fence!
On a morning hunt before work I got to where I thought we the cahce may be hidden.
Unfortunately there a very new and secure Barbed Wire fence. I was not suitably dress to attempt going over or under the fence. I decided I will return another day for this one.
Thanks RW for the hunt.

Wow, really quite streets out here at night on the pushie.
Got dirty from crawling under the fence.
Not sure how long this will last, but nice spot with the frogs carring on in the background.

This was the first find after the loss of Geohound and just didn't seem quite the same without her fossicking and sniffing around helping me look for caches. Alas, it might have been a bit tricky for her to find this one as it involved navigating a barbed wire fence
Found it during an enjoyable walk on a very rare day off work.
TFTC which is dedicated to Geohound.

This is a quiet, slightly eerie place after dark, when most of the builders have gone home. A messy cache to get to. I muddied my jeans sliding under the fence. The cache was out in the open in full view. TFTC.
lots of building activity around here, lucky the builders are focussing on their work while I found this one. tftc Rapidlywild
Decided to do the one day trial hunt for caches took my daughter teejay and her dog Koda to grab a few. Tftc.
This was the eleventh find I made while cycling in the area on an eventful day. I don't think this will be the back of Springbank for long! TFTC Rapidlywild!
Found during a quick trip down to Canberra for the weekend with The Rats and steeba.
We had originally planned a trip up to the mid north coast of NSW however a severe rainfall event resulted in a last minute switch to the nation's capital and I must say it was great to be back!
No problems with this one.
Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache.

This was a perfect spot for a snake but thankfully none here today! TFTC!

Headed down to Canberra over the weekend to grab a few caches with steeba and Farmerfrentzen. This was one of a few we got our hands on.
This cache will soon be consumed by the urban sprawl.
Thanks

The first challenge was getting to this area without a map. The second was looking at the area and seeing about half a dozen spots a cache could be, or where a snake could be. Gave it some thought and found it in the first place I looked.
Miss Stormcatcher headed out solo tonight as Mr Stormcatcher had crashed after a big day. This was the last one left to grab in the series and luckily no houses in this back area yet. The streets in this suburb are very weird and I would have liked a navigator. Parked nearby and wondered over to the only possible hiding spot. Spotted the cache first then retrieved it. Thanks Rapidlywild for the cache and the series.
Without mapping for the area I had to resort to the old follow the arrow, and make the distance go down as best you can trick.
Eventually navigated my way to within 20m or so then had to play the waiting game a a couple inspecting blocks made their way by.
Thanks for another Rapidlywild.

After doing the nearby end of SpringBank Drive cache I walked along what will eventually be the new road, then cut across to the cache. Certainly changing out here. Thanks.
6085 + 750 = 6835. Found on a quick run around the area.
Despite the strange weather - quite hot but also windy and patches of rain (?) - I swung past and grabbed this one this afternoon. I havent been out this way much before but I guess as it grows there will be more caches out here - excellent ! Thanks again Rapidlywild !
TNLN - TFTC !!

Quick grab once we navigated through the maze of streets to GZ. We were a little concerned about the grass though, all good. TFTC
Tumut 2012 with Sol de Lune. Apart from a mistake in the arrival direction, this was smooth. I wonder if there will be houses on this side of the road to stop access in the future. Thanks.

#5 in a busy caching afternoon heading towards our grand #250.
We're enjoying this Rapidlywild series. Not all these new roads are appearing on Google maps yet. i parked about 200m away from the cache (on a still to be built part of Horsepark Dr) and as I walked over the hill was surprised to find a street. Oh well - not far to walk anyway.
TFTC Rapidlywild.

Ooops - a little 4wdriving to get to this one! (Blame tomtom, it didn't now the streets!). Found a street after that. Thanks RW.
Like most people, the new streets don't show on my GPSr, but I know where they are now...and where the cache is! Thank you!
Found on a nice day out this way. After a little bit of a walk, the cache was in hand. Felt a little uncomfortable about the nearby long-ish grass, but not much trouble. Nice area. TNLN. TFTC Rapidlywild!
We saw these caches come online yesterday, but we don't do geocaching to chase FTF's so we left these until this afternoon. Our car navigator had trouble around here as this area was not on it so we followed our noses and got close to GZ. Once there we made a quick find. TNLNSL TFTC
#43 - 20:30; Bronte14 and I thought we would log the last couple of Rapidlywild's caches remaining on our lists. We had abandoned this one yesterday after missing out on the FTF to Mcktcj as we raced to try for another (again without success ). Picked up a TB and didn't drop it TFTC
Found @ 4:57pm, the 3rd of 10 caches found of 11 attempted on a ride around Gungahlin.
I was a bit concerned about the long grass and other material around this hide but fortunately there was a "snake" stick nearby! Dropped off the Lil' Miss TB. Thanks again Rapidlywild

We took the cross country route to this one and again mr_roo and I let Ju and her friend have a go at this one and luckily they made a nice quick find this time in the fading light. TFTC
FTF at 7.20pm! Had just finished dinner when 5 notifications came up of new caches in my neighbourhood. I grabbed the keys and headed out thinking I might catch one of them. Ended up being the FTF on 4! *high five!*
I enjoyed walking across the dusty, deserted landscape, with only street lights and footpaths to indicate a growing suburb. It was easy to picture the hustle and bustle that will soon spring up in this area. Found the cache easily, and took the TB to keep it travelling. Thanks Rapidlywild, for a fun evening in finding 5 of your new caches!

Up the dirt track we went then over a gutter and through what will be houses soon we got to gz. We sent ju and friend out again. This time they made the find TFTC
