The river is up, and may be for some weeks. Many roads are impassable even with a 4WD.

Large maintenance run planned for when the river goes down. Some caches may have floated downstream, others innundated and some should be high and dry, just T5 at the moment.

We do not recommend any flooded caches be accessed by boat at this stage, or to attempt by 4WD. It would be good if the roads had a chance to dry out before getting chewed up with high clearance vehicles.

Our caching group of 7 today contained the whole gamut of required skills, from youthful enthusiasm to the wisdom of the aged. It was middle aged combination of these 2 skills that won out. I love the camo that screams out "come and look at me." Thanks

16-Jul-18
Oooooooo nasty. Never seen one like that before. Not what I expected. I think terrain should be at least a 2

16-Jul-18
The team are picking up a few on the way home from Barmah National Park. This one worried us for a short while, with 7 sets of eyes on the prize. But we got there!
Thanks heaps, Gregandjudi

Stamped or signed as 'Team Clarmensma' AKA myself, GemmaSistema, neisha07, boo09, AdamSistema & LukeSistema.
School holidays yet again and we thought we'd stay the night in Echuca. It took us about 6 hours to get there from Maryborough and about 13 to get home. Wink

A fun trip with only minimal rain, a handful of DNF's, some previous DNF's that are now smilies and 7 cache types found over the 2 days.

06-Jul-18
We all started searching but becca85 made the find here.

Today was day 2 of a 2 day road trip with Team Clarmensma (GemmaSistema & becca85 and our 4 geokids - neisha07, AdamSistema, boo09 & LukeSistema). The Sistema crew left Echuca and caches our way via Moama, Barmah, Picola, Yambuna, Koyuga, Nanneella, Rochester, Burnewang, Elmore and Bendigo before heading home via Maryborough to drop off the 3 girls and finishing at home in Ballarat about 11pm. We had plenty of finds, a few DNFs and heaps of laughter and fun as we cached along back roads, through tiny towns, around and across across amazing rivers with stunning scenery wherever we went. Thanks so much for putting this cache out for us to find and enjoy. We really appreciate it.

I needed to find a cache today with the word Bar in it, so this one was ideal. It is part of the G A GeosportZ Commonwealth Games Challenge, and I appreciate your having placed it here for our entertainment. So glad the weather picked up this arvo from the miserable downpour earlier, however we really need rain, so I shouldn’t complain.

*29/10/17, Found @ 1:12 pm, Find # 7266.*

After a bit of caching around Echuca and Moama it was now time to head for home but there is no such thing as going straight home as I made a bit of a loop around and while I was going passed I stopped at this one for a look.
I started looking in the wrong place at first even though I had seen the cache before hand, it just didn't register that this was the cache at first but then I took notice and had a look and signed the log.

**Thanks to gregandjudi for placing this cache.**

We logged a find here some 18 months back, so had an idea what to look for.
Seeing 4/5 recent logs are DNF's, perhaps the listed DR of 1.5 needs a tweak.

Satellites today had our GZ 7M N of where we found the cache.

17-Oct-17
Suscoe and Phetlern headed out nice and early today for a terrific day of caching in this area of the state.
It was a magical Spring day, so much sun, a few clouds, a gentle breeze and great company to be with as we headed around the roads.
We had done our preparation, planning the order of caches, sorting out puzzles and printing the multi pages.
Lunch on the road and fair weather, caches to find: what else could you ask for.
Thanks to gregandjudi for this hide.
A quick find on the river bend.

Found holder but no log to sign, bit past mushy! But what a view! Took photo to confirm my visit. T4 bringing us here

04-Dec-16
I was on my way from Melbourne to Deniliquin...and taking advantage of a not-quite-the-fastest route which ended up taking me through Barmah...a part of Victoria I had never found my way to before. To mark this little bit of (personal) new territory, I decided that a cache or two was in order. This was the second cache I stopped for...and almost immediately spotted the log holder. No log though...it has gone through the mushy pulp stage and has now dried out into something barely recognisable.

Thanks gregandjudi for the cache...but it is time for a little maintenance.

19-Sep-16
Took a bit of searching but we finally got there. Log is wet as and in need of replacing and a plastic bag to keep it in

04-Sep-16
When Fergzter was a bit younger than he is today he did a bit of work in Environmental Science and did some research with town water supplies so this had a bit of interest for us. After studying the nearby water facility we made a quick find. The log needs some love alas. We managed to smudge our name in the mushy log but who cares about a soggy log with THAT VIEW!!! Wow. This is Australia for sure. After a road side coffee and biscuit break we were on our way after 20 minutes. Thanks for another cache Gregandjudi.

09-Jul-16
Found it. Very wet log

26-Jun-16
Hi Katie and Gracie I went and look for that also but it's not there I wonder where it is

26-Jun-16
I think it has been moved because we have found it before but it wasn't there this time!!!

25-Jun-16
Last time here I thought I hope we never come again but E does not give Ap so today he signed the log thanks for the challenge. It is all good fun

02-Jun-16
10:16:00 AM. While I was looking in one spot the better half saw the cache and pointed me in the right dirrection. Log signed. Log could do with a bag as is damp. We didn't have one small enough with us. Thanks gregandjudi for placing this cache.

Sewthat, muggle partner, Brodie and I went out to find 2 caches that Sewthat and I hadn't been able to find recently.
We also stopped at a garage sale and blow me down if it wasn't at the house of a local geocacher, Needle in a..., whose Picola alphabet series I had enjoyed doing recently Cool
I was even able to share a hint on one of those two caches with her Smile

Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.

Finally got back here to find this cache and oh boy...do I feel like a newbie! Red FaceSadRed Face
I'd looked at that, thought how it didn't seem quite right and just did not click that it was the cache! Red FaceSadRed Face
Considering I've found quite a few of these in my time, I cannot understand what part of my brain was not working on our previous visit! SurprisedRed Face
Still, it's found now and so there will be no blue sad face to haunt me at that spot anymore Cool
We enjoyed the scenery again and I got to show muggle partner the shape of the river Smile

I blew into town at first light to hunt down a ftf on another cache published in the wee small hours of the morning. Cool Reeling with the joy of my little victory, I decided to gorge myself on everything else Barmah had to offer a hungry Geocacher.[^]
My little banquet of caches was sliding down easily until I arrived at this little dish that stopped me in my tracks and made me sit up and take notice.Red Face
I searched high and low, over and under, peered around and through but nothing made sense and my poor GPS was copping a bombardment of verbal insults.Twisted
Then it happened, the epiphany, that Eureka moment when you see what can't be unseen and you no longer feel the need to use expletives in the same phrase with the CO's name.Big Grin
A minute or two on front of the car's heater vents and the log was signed and returned warm and dry with the cache ready to make another fool out of the next unsuspecting geocacher.[:o)]
TFTC gregandjudy, a delightful and rewarding challenge.Smile

01-May-16
Sewthat, Brodie and I headed out caching but instead of ending up in Picola to finish the alphabet series we travelled some back tracks and ended up in Barmah Surprised
We found 3 Smile out of the 4 caches in Barmah (DNFd the 4th Sad ) and enjoyed sightseeing around the town while doing so Cool

DNF! Sad We looked for about 20 minutes but still didn't find this cache Sad
Hopefully i'll be back to remedy this one day Smile

We found this little guy while were out and about in an area of Victoria we have not explored before. We are thinking the locals will be trying to muster tourists to the area now. Bumped into maccamob again and found this one together.

Log is damp = container not waterproof (plastic bab gone) - and needs some CO TLC - perhaps it's about time for the CO to make a maintenance visit on this one!
