Wonderful spot. Looked around blindly and then went back to the track, looked up and saw it instantly Great cache
Second find for the day on a beautiful walk in the area. After checking the hint this did not take too long to locate. Surprised at how seamlessly it blends into the surrounds. Once you see it, so obvious but unless you know what you are looking for it would be hard to spot even though its staring right at you from the track as you pass.
Cache 4/11 with fisherfamfive and AdamW on our first caching trip of the new year. We arrived here with a sense of worry as a micro hide in this terrain was bound to be a challenge. It sure was, as the three of us searched for close to 20 minutes with no luck. However, I ventured away from my GPS' directions in order to give a certain area one last look, and sighted the cache out of the corner of my eye and couldn't unsee it afterwards! Maybe this would have been a quicker find if my eyes were searching at this level the whole time, but a very nice hide nonetheless, TFTC ahomburg
Out today with CammJT and AdamWickenton for our first caching trip of the new year on the bikes in the northern part of the Dandenong Ranges National Park. Arriving at GZ and reading the cache page this search looked to be a tough one, with so many different places for a micro to be hidden. Not helping was our GPS pointing us in the complete wrong direction. It had been 20 minutes and we were almost about to DNF this one, the topic of conversation had changed more into how hungry we all were, when Jackson spotted the cache right in front of his eyes!Tftc ahomburg
Apart from the effort to get to GZ re the path I took after parking at one tree hill. This cache might go down as the easiest and quickest find of the day, seeing it from 20 meters away.
We came here and searched the wrong side of the path until we needed a bit of a hint and figured out we were on the wrong side. Once we realised and moved to the other side we made the find quickly. Thanks for this one!!
Fresh log for a fresh return to geocaching (it's been a while) and a renewed enthusiasm to getting outdoors with the geobub. TFTC!
Temporary container removed. New log sheet added to old container. BYO PEN

Thanks for bringing me to this location.
I’ve been hiking in the Dandenong’s for years but I’ve never been on this trail before.
There is no log in the cache. I looked on the ground and in case it had previously fallen out but no luck.

Thanks for the Cache ahomburg, it's now my Friday ritual to find a cache on my way home from work to wind down after a hard week. I found the treasure not hanging from the tree but somewhere below then I went to look for some charcoal with which I could write my log because I have lost my pen yet again. Up from Cache there is an interesting wall of rocks I think perhaps marking an old path,a bit further up I saw a an interesting lizard, it's great to see who we share this bush with and he didn't bite me neither! Regards from Victourer

I’m enjoying the variety of your caches. Thank you. The logbook is probably wet due to the lid not being screwed on properly (wasn’t flush when I found it).
### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUIRED PLEASE** ###
----------
Hi there ahomburg,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is an issue. The cache has been temporarily disabled, so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location until the issues/s with this cache can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ). Then sit back and wait for the logs of praise to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers don't have a crystal ball, so without your note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, or you have been in hospital, or the area is in flood, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and when a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine for a little bit longer.
**Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it. If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date) please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of those. Well, if nothing happens, then a few weeks from today, when a Reviewer next looks at the cache page, it is likely that they will, unfortunately, have to de-list (Archive) on the basis that it has been abandoned.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
**JUST A TIP:-** Have you checked out the new Geocaching Dash Board designed to assist a Cache Owner in managing the caches they own? Have a read about it [**HERE.**](https://www.geocaching.com/blog/2020/07/welcome-to-the-cache-owner-dashboard/?newsletter=PM) You will find your very own dash board [**HERE**](https://www.geocaching.com/play/owner?utm_source=geocaching&utm_medium=blog&utm_campaign=COD).

Another excellent DM cache !
This one was bang on for co-ordinates and was found within a minute.
If you ever go night caching, this one is highly recommended. ️

Geocaching on New Year’s Day 2022. Found this little beauty in this lovely little dell down here ..found the prize in it’s rightful spot. Now to make the trek back out of here. It’s a very hot day.

After finishing work nearby I took a stroll in a part of the DRNP I'd not visited previuosly.
This type of cache is not what I'd call my favourite, so I was pleasantly surprised when I spotted it relatively quickly.

Went back today to add my note. This time I brought a pen. Paper scrolls are pretty full, need replacing
A lovely place to come to while exploring the edges of my five kilometre zone. An easy and straightforward find here. TFTC
With a back injury, it wasn’t so much of a meander for me today, more like an amble, but we were in no hurry, and Steve didn’t mind having to do the hard work.
As we approached GZ, I was rapt that I spotted the cache straight away, and was even able to sign this log. Now that I’ve finally contributed something, I can go back to my roll of pointing out potential hiding spots and watch Steve do the scrambling.
Thanks again ahomburg. Slow & steady wins the race.

Not quite what I was expecting but a relatively quick find in this beautiful fern gully in tbe Dandenongs. Thanks.
Loved this one, I was stomping around looking and almost ran into it when I was just about ready to give up
Dam forgot to bring a pen for this one. Will return one day to sign off. Loving these bush walks
Last one on the list for today. Walking with geo kid reminds me of him when he was little saying how fast I walked - how the roles have reversed. Legs now twice as long as mine made short work of this today. Once again he did a great job at ground zero. Love hides in plain sight to those in the know. To the untrained eye barely visible. Made me smile enjoying the day out.
Glad we were here and avoided the 1000 steps. Crazy amount of cars there considering social distancing . Just one obstacle on the way back to the car. Got a sigh from geo kid as mum starts singing “can’t go over it, can go under it, gotta go around it” I’m sure he love that when he was smaller. Lots of fun today. Can’t wait for the next adventure

After being inside most of the day, I came out here for a brief walk to get this cache. Much cooler up here! I was looking a bit too far away and couldn't find anything, checked coordinates again and got a bit closer and spotted it quickly.
Quite a nice section of the bush, lots of tree ferns. This one had me puzzled for a bit, the camoflage is good.
After another downhill track, we came to this cache and had a quick find. Tftc.
On a mission before I leave Melbourne to find a clutch of caches in this little pocket of the forest. Have not been here for donkeys years. Not sure I covered ground in the most efficient way but had grabbed the MT bike and managed most of the hilly country. Nice to be back after a few decades. All caches found quickly enough. TFTC and series. I’ll be back!

Nice walk around the dandenongs and we managed to reel in some geocaches to jazz up our morning walk ) thanks to the cache owners for placing these caches, it made for some pleasant walking and some awesome finds. Will definitely be back to complete some more of the geocaches in the area!! #509
Pristine part of the world. We stoped and listened to the birds for a few minutes before searching for this brazen cache.
Could probably remove the old log because the container is a little cramped. Tftc

I'm so glad I decided to get out of the house on the first day of my week off, and go caching. They forecast rain today but I want to be outside. I saw heaps of cockies on the trail but they all flew off as I approached, they're awesome! Once at GZ I spotted the cache straight away. Thanks ahomburg
Fond this one looking back down to the track after looking at someother small trees
Thanks for the cache

Out for a meander on a beautiful winters day I found this one just hanging around GZ.
Out early this morning to grab more of the meander series, the rain held out long enough for me to get what I wanted without getting too wet. As I was meandering I wondered 2 things: 1. If someone blindfolded ahomburg and dropped him into a random spot in the Dandenongs, would he be able to tell you whereabouts he was? I reckon he could. 2. If a bushfire swept through the Dandenongs (god forbid) as has happened before, how long would it take ahomburg to replace all of his caches? I reckon 3 solid days. Thanks again for this series ahomburg, a great excuse to get out of the house into nature TFTC!
Nice easy find in the end after looking too deep into the bush. Its nice to get out and enjoy the fresh air and have a purpose to walk the trails i would of never ventured down
The Blindest Geocacher in the World strikes again!!!!
There I was standing “on the high side of the track” again, having followed a nice looking geotrail up the bank. However, the small tree in the hint didn’t seem to be anywhere to be found. I had a huge mofo tree in front of me and no small trees anywhere that I could see.
And then Kelly says, from the track below, “Oh you goose. It’s right behind you”. The bloomin cache was almost donging me on the head, I was that close to it. If I had eyes in the back of my head I would have been all over it!! I blame the fact that we were caching by torchlight.....but really, there was no excuse. Made for a good laugh though!!

Find four on our night time adventure with Mrs Rusty from The Rustys. The GPS again pointed up the embankment and it was Mrs Rusty who went for the find. The hint gave us the clue we needed, but she couldn't find the small tree. I shone my torch in her general direction and I was in instant laughter "You Goose! Turn around" I final giggled at her. Mrs Rusty pretty much had her back to the small tree and the cache may as well been tapper her on her shoulder saying "Here I am". We signed the log book and joked some more before moving on to the next cache.
Spotted a kookaburra nearby this cache. Was a quick find after reading the hint. TFTC
Next on our trail we made our way to this one. GPS overshot us by a little bit tracking back was able to locate GZ without too much effort. Managed to squeeze our stamp on it. Perhaps time to replace the log sheet. Sorry we didn’t have one to do so today.
Gorgeous day for a walk! Although we live nearby we haven't explored this side of the Hill much. Geokid scrambled up to each this one and signed it. Thanks Ahomburg for the cache

Lovely little valley. The air is a bit cooler down here.
Do I give this a favourite?
No...
After all, it IS a micro in the woods!
But I DID love finding it straight away with one of my famous sub-standard torches. I didn't even need a hint. I just happened to get lucky by flicking the torch on to it at close range.
VERY close range! Lol.
Thanks heaps, ahomburg.
I'm loving the DM series. It just keeps on giving...

I decided to take a meander through Ferntree Gully today to climb the 1000 steps and get some fresh air. A total of 21 finds with no DNFs. This was #10 for the day.
A micro in a forest! My favourite - right up there with nano's in a canon This one wasn't too hard actually, and we quickly found, signed and returned it before moving on to the next. TFTC
A nice early walk around the Dandenong Ranges National park with Clint. The weather wasn't too bad considering when we arrived there was heaps of rain and lightning which stopped before we set out.
(thankfully). These types of caches can be sometimes hard to spot and we were happy to notice it quickly. Another one down.
Found by Team Justice #1604.

Out to fill in an empty day in our caching calendar. Sunny day that was quickly warming up. Arrived near GZ and searched a couple of likely spots and then realised that the GPS was showing me well off the track when I was actually standing on it. So resorted to the hint and soon had the cache in hand.

Found while on a stroll through the bush, a nice little fern valley nearby, I never knew existed.
Found this on a lovey night for a after dinner walk. What a great spot. Beautiful!!! Time to start heading home the mozzies are coming out
Found while walking up and down tracks in the Dandenongs, looking for DM caches and other ones nearby. Great sunny day for a walk in these lovely hills.
A pleasantly damp area while I was there. The cache was however one of the driest on this stretch. I was pleasantly surprised that the cache appeared before my eyes almost immediately upon coming to a halt. Thanks ahomburg!
Found by edmil and Maddie. Neat hide. It took me a bit of wandering around before i found. Log signed - yeah a remarkably dry one. The surrounding location is quite interesting not sure if there was once an old building or if it has just been ised as a dumping area.
TFTC.
That's what we need in these parts, a good lynchin'

Took me a while to find, once found it is quite obvious. What a beautiful spot too!
A beautiful day for a meander around the Dandenong Ranges. Having seen the total chaos at the 1000 steps it was lovely to walk around this area away from the maddening crowds. It's amazing to think if ypu walk just a couple of km away from there you effectively have the area to yourself.
This didn't take too long to find but took longer to retrieve and then to replace... damn my shortness! I think I ended up with a lot bark in my hair from this one! TFTC!

Out hiking around the hills today to escape from the horse race that is going on. A lovely hike up and down the mountain a few times to collect a good series of caches. Other than the 2 DNF's. All were where they should be. Sometimes a bit out on the coords due to the hills but otherwise great. Thanks for the hides.
I was on trip in mountains. It was nice weather and nature is there amazing. There were a lot of colourful birds and lot of any wildlife. I enjoyed it very much. I spent some hours by walking there and hunting some caches. It was very nice day. Thank you very much for very nice cache in beautiful nature.
Out on an [red]awesome [black]Saturday afternoon with [blue]OzHockeyChick[black] collecting some of our hitlisted DM series caches and thought we would have a bit of a bike about the hills.....
This one was at the end of a big dipper ride on the mountain bikes but a sneaky hide out in the open really.....

88andy88 and I decided to make the most of a beautiful Saturday, so we loaded the bikes and came to this section of the Dandenongs to tackle some more DMs.
While 88 headed one way, I followed GPSr a bit more closely and soon spotted the sneaky hide... NEXT!!

Find #5. Such a beautiful day for a hike in the Dandenongs and cleaning up another portion of the map with smileys. My geosenses were on high due to jumpy GPSr signals and because I was without my geo-accomplice, Tripze.
Definitely one of those hand slapping forehead, oh der moments! GPSr kept pointing me to the wrong side of the track so lucky for the hint. Added a fresh log sheet.

Finding this type of cache often involves seeing it from the right angle and then finding yourself wondering why you didn't see it earlier!

I will admit I am not that familiar with the Dandenongs being a Canberra-gal, but after a couple of nice long caching runs in the area I soon learned that it was a whole lot faster and easier to just stick to the trail no matter what. So of course in this instance I completely ignored that rule and took a short cut. In reality it was an easy spot to take a short-cut (and possibly one of the only easy spots to take a short-cut) and somehow managed to arrive directly at GZ with the cache directly in my line of sight! Now that's one for the books! I'm sure it'll never happen again. [:o)]
Found a very pleasant walk with my wife on a fresh and mild afternoon. Took me a little while as I didn't spot it... Somehow! Cache in good condition, thanks.
did a day walking and picnic with Ginger sam! Beautiful day. specially with havin 4 days holidays for easter
Steve & Steph, Steph and Steve came up to boronia to checkout our house getting built and ended up here
Found this one a few weeks ago and forgot to log it. I saw a wallabie up close and an echidna, unfortunately i could not get any pictures because my phone was dead. ( i forgot to charge it because I was playing with my new magellan hand held)
