Logs
10:02The weather was perfect for caching today, the views were great, we found a variety of caches around the Adelaide Hills as we toured around, Woodside, Hahndorf and Nairne. Many caches today being quick finds in interesting locations.**FEEDBACK TO CO:** - The bag is wet and the log damp - maybe needs a visit. Our thanks to 'brisal5' for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.37838*This log composed and published using Geocaching Swiss Army Knife (GSAK).*
Suscoe had a delightful day out in the Adelaide Hills with our great friends Phetlern. We enjoyed the scenic trip and the lovely little villages that we passed through. We saw lots of fruit trees, well maintained hedges, happy looking cattle, some Alpacas and lovely trees. It is really a great place to explore. We enjoyed the cache finds that we made. Thanks to brisal5 for this cache.
This was a great find with the family! Being on the road side is much better than the fence side. Helps avoid those pesky blackberry thorns!
Staying at My Barker cp for 4 nights. Great weather. Took a scenic drive to some nearby towns & picked up a few geos along the way. Wish I had time to walk along this trail. Tftc
Bullertrout and I are slowly making our way back to Adelaide, picking up as many caches as possible. TFTC brisal5#16561
It was a great hiding spot and my brother and I enjoyed looking for it. We took a bee that was inside the container and put in a shopkin.
Didn't find. Hunted around near a group of tennis balls, but the blackberries were prickling the kids too much
Found by torchlight on a quick trip to Woodside with Chookster. Didn't get scratched... was about to give up and try in daylight but thought I'd try one last place, and there it was! TFTF.
Quick find here whilst walking along the trail, cache is all good
Today with an event on in Mt Barker I set off early in the day for a full days caching. Starting in loberthal and making my way through the towns and back roads as I went. Managed to get 55 finds and see 3 brown snakes at caches.
Thank for the cache

Had a good day with goingplaces2 mostly collecting multi caches with just a few trads as well.
This was one we found successfully and signed. TFTC.

We were out on the cache hunt today with ilook4geo and the main focus was multi caches. This one also made the list and we found that nature had covered it well. All logs had two more names added and each was then put back where it had been found.
Thank you to brisal5 for bringing us here and for placing this cache. All is in good order.

Found with the geokids on a winters walk. Very well hidden. Container well sealed, log in good condition.
Took the ring, left a hairclip. TFTC!

Not so worried about winter tennis, but the traffic (where is that strange lady going) the prickles and the slime. Tftc. Am loving Woodside.
This cache was hidden well, but lidless, so I replaced the cache. But log was all good.
TFTC and Merry Cache-mas all!

Yay. Found it. Another fun adventure, many thanks for the hide. Wandering around the hills we overshot the turnoff and had to turn around on a very heavy traffic day. I jumped out and made the find while SeaEagle2 turned the car around and waited for a break in traffic. Forgot how much there is to see and do in these parts
GeoVenture Mega Event at Millicent, still looking forward to it!! A new date has been proposed for October 2021 now.

I had a glorious afternoon caching, in some of the warmest weather we have had for some time. I had the bike with me but decided to car hop most of these. I walked this group of two, but had some issues here. I had to try a few trees to get the right one, meanwhile unknowingly there was a scout from the netball courts having real issue with me in amongst the trees. She did not approach but gave me the eyes. Always an issue with a lone guy wandering the bushes. Once found, a super quick sign and walked away the other way. Never a nice feeling. Thanks for the cache Brisal5
Enjoying a lovely winters day out on the hills and finding a few caches along the way. A walk along the Amy Gillet Bikeway was the perfect way to shake down a delicious bakery lunch.
This one took longer to get the log out than find the cache.
found after work on route to oakbank to replace one of mogni's caches that has gone missing. I stopped along the way to grab a few trads and a multi. quick find.

I saw that this one had been spring cleaned, and so I thought I’d go back for another look before the next blackberry growth spurt. It’s actually not a hard find - I don’t know what I was doing last November - that seems so long ago now. I’ve had a senior moment and dated my find June 24 instead of 23. Thanks for the chase, Brisal5.
Checked on this today and as expected the cache was safe and sound. I have removed the annual autumn supply of fresh camo that had accumulated on top of it since it was last found.
The log book was completely dry in the extra heavy duty bag I placed here when I last did maintainance. A quick check and I couldn't find where the alleged last finder had put their mark!?!
I have left it on top of the camo so it is clearly visible if you look in the correct spot!

Searched for a while but kept been taken into the prickles. After spotting a brown snake during another search close by we decided to abandon our search
Well my Amy Gillett streak didn’t last long, I’m bailing on this one. Every time I stop bleeding the GPS sends me back into the prickles, and I’m getting plenty of weird looks from path users. Will try again later.
Found It!
Can't say I remember this one but then I don't really watch, follow or know anything about the soccer...

Checking out the Amy Gillette bike way today. Cache and contents all good. TFTC
Found a nest of tennis balls but no cache and those are very lonf blackberry canes.
Heading off to do a bit of cache maintenance. Stopped to do a few around home before heading to the Barossa where I met up with S.A. Sewer Rats and Blackadders in search of a few more smilies.
After checking the other soccer cache up the road and finding it perfected okay I thought the needs maintainance might have referred to this one so I checked it as well. Cache had been buried under some dropped leaf litter (It is not supposed to be) so I brought it to the top. Log book damp so I dried the cache and replaced the log book again.
It is now back on top of the leaf litter in its hide so should be easier to find.

Looked in all the obvious places and could not find. Shame as Aus v Japan was one of my favourite memories.
Almost gave up! Was buried deeper than we thought but was the obvious place. Thanks!
Following the TDU event, I had some light left to head down the road and try to convert this frowny around given there had been some recent finds. Parked up, and ventured towards GZ. I was starting to doubt my clothing attire since there was a fair amount of long grass around. I tried to use the "don't overthink / make it too hard" hint to try to locate the cache this time, rather than bury myself deep within the prickles. Sure enough, once I took a step back, I found the cache in a very logical place. Cheers brisal5!
p.s. I remember this soccer game well, and was watching it with my sports club in our club house. The last period of that game was electric and remember well my emotions haha!

I had trouble with this one as GPS moves around a bit a gz. The CO pointed me in the right direction today and it was easily found. I advise thinking easier rather than harder for this one. TFTC
Out for a quick maintainance check on a few of my caches with TheDuke2018. [8d]
Cache still there but replaced plastic bag and container as log was becoming damp. All good now.

I am home from uni on holidays and my dad was very insistent on spending some father/daughter time together. Initially, he wanted to play golf but we think the golf course we normally go to is closed for renovations (I was also not keen on the idea of traipsing around a probably muddy golf course in the cold and possible rain) so I suggested we do some caching (he is generally quite receptive of caching, if not that good at it). In trying to find a good place to cache mum suggested that we finish (or at least make some more progress on) the caches along the Amy Gillett bikeway. So off we went.
We had a quick look around and couldn't find anything in the obvious spots and neither of us felt like searching around in the blackberry bushes so decided to call this one a DNF. Thanks for placing the cache anyway.

Found today with my Nan [earthlight] Co-ords were spot on but needed nan to lift me up.
The plastic bag no longer closes.

Looked at a few places behind and in amongst trees. In the end, saw nothing and there was just thorns galore at this location. A better hint may be appropriate here. A few DNFs here, but just may mean a better look with appropriate clothes armour required?
May have been a great spot before but I couldn't find it. Also if it is there it is surrounded by overgrown thorn bushes and I got quite a few pricks looking for it.
Epic hard to find. Phone was playing up due to trees but we pushed on and found it!!!!!!!
