Came to do a routine maintenance check to discover it's gone!! Will replace in the next 2 weeks
Really enjoyed the walk around here, the pine forest with kookaburras singing, the magpies watching nearby and lots of activity along the winding creek and open lakes full with young tadpoles and an opportunistic bin chicken!Found the cache nicely tucked away.
Not for us to find today. Challenges included GPSs jumping all over the place.
Found it on 2nd of July but forgotten to log it till now great cashe and definitely coming back to solve the puzzle
It was a lovely albeit a bit of a soggy walk here from #2 (after taking a tumble in the creek and getting wet). Found easily with the hint.
My first find in this series this afternoon. Parked the car, took a stroll down the paths with my two dogs who were keen to be part of the action in a new place. Quick find and ready to walk onwards to next in the series. TFTC
With the weather picking up on this Sunday afternoon, a couple more BTW finds was a good excuse to bring Buddy and the family out for an afternoon walk. We started at #2 before enjoying a lap of the lake and picking up #3, gathering the clues for #4 which we will solve at home with a chess board. This is another area we had never discovered before and it's quite a gem.
My youngest enjoyed the playground. Was also watched some BMXers doing some jumps, but I enjoyed the pine forest. I love pine forests
A nice spot at GZ. Cache in good condition.
Thanks GJMMelb for the enjoyment today.
Only one more BTW to find now. Great that there will be an excuse to come back to the area.

I thought this was familiar when we arrived. Luckily for me, the find was made quickly. Thanks for placing this cache.
After the last one treated the gps as a guide only and had the cache quickly in hand
YAPIDKA! This took some patience as I was running out of rocks to look under! Then I had a bingo moment hurrah. PLENTY plenty of amazing parks and parkland green wedges in this LGA that includes community spaces well visited. On a mighty LGA mission and was surpised to see I only had "a few" for Maroondah AND that the boundaries are relatively small. TFTC and the FUN.
Rocks rock rock everywhere. Oh and ducks.

#1335 - It felt like walking into a mini rainforest on the way to this cache and I spotted an awesome tree for climbing near GZ.
After having my fun, the cache was soon found and clue noted.

Geo kids and geo nephew were more interested in throwing rocks into the pond so I was on my own for this find

Cache contents replaced, and cache rehidden in its normal hidding spot, above water level.
In Warranwood to pick something up after work, and since I dont have to make dinner tonight I made the most of the drive over and found some caches.
This lake is very full. The logbook was found sitting on the rock right near the water, amazingly it hadn't blown in or gotten saturated. I searched around for the container and spotted it floating on the other side of the lake. Full of water, I drained it, let it drop out for a while and placed the logbook (still inside its plastic bag) back inside. I've put it safely above the height of the water near where I found the logbook sitting, hidden in the reeds. Hopefully this is OK.

My midday zoom class was cancelled, so what to do with the day? Go geocaching of course! When I arrived at GZ. And was disappointed to see some council workers in the area.. I took some time to stand back and check out the area until they moved on and sighted a possible hiding area and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks GJMMelb for placing the cache.
I can not play this game. My beloved tried to teach me, however his gloating over my silly moves put a speedy end to my desire to play. This cache proved to be more fun. It was found easily, but I could not find the clue to the final.
Thank goodness that was straight forwards once GPSrs settled.
TFTC at another nice lake.
These little spots are little gems.

Out and about between errands on this warm day.
Approaching GZ, espied a gentleman, phone in hand, looking around.
Enquiries determined that he was a cacher, part of the successful FTFers pnja, but on this occasion was seeking an echidna he'd seen nearby, rather than a cache.
I took longer to find this one than I'd hoped, due to my GPS not playing nice, but made the find with help from previous logs.

Wow, this one had me stumped for a while. Pretty tricky find if I do say so myself! I’m not following the series because I’m bad at chess but great find.

Another success and time to bring out the chess board. It's totally normal to play chess on a rock in the park isn't it?
On the way home from Lilydale, I detoured to search for this cache.
The log was soon signed.
Thanks for the cache GJMMelb.

Looked low and lower here, likely some cache blindness from this cacher, and an unfortunate DNF. GPS jumped around and expanded the search in the area.
Thanks to queenant for letting us know the cache is missing - will fix asap - GMelb in hospital
We plan to visit all of our caches to check on them and do any maintenance required before re-enabling them and have done half so far as our exercise for the past week or so
We aim to have them all visited by mid November.

May we suggest that you please use hand sanitiser before and after finding this cache - thanks This cache is being re-enabled with the hope that Community spread of Covid19 remains extremely low. We will visit each cache in the coming weeks to make sure it is still there and in good condition.
