TFTC Beautiful resting place cache is in good condition we caught up with the cache owner here so had a loverly catch up .
What a surprise coming around the corner to find this lovely cemetery tucked away Thanks cabbos for showcasing this area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Millicent for a few days to grab some finds placed for the ill fated Mega 2020. There have been some newer caches and puzzles collected too. Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. We are staying at Millicent and caching the surrounding countryside. Thanks for the cache. ?? LNCU
Nice quick find here - near hide too. Blends in well. Thanks for the fun and adventure
Day three of our long weekend getaway to Beachport. The weather may have been pretty ordinary yesterday, but today it was woeful. Chook was lucky enough to spot this cache quickly so we could get back in the car before the rain started up again. TFTC cabbos.
This was another unexpected find as I was down from Southport searching for the local AL. Unfortunately I hadn't downloaded this cache completely and Sam(sung) was sending me in circles. Eventually all was good and the log is now signed.
A week away exploring the area with 2beez.
A lovely little cemetery.
Thanks cabbos for placing for all to enjoy.

Stay at Millicent for a few days with Everlasting and Found the cache and logged the log with Everlasting cabbos, Thank you so much for placing it.
Accompanied with crank1, we enjoyed the trip and detour find it and sign the log. Thanks for the cache and hunt.
TFTC cabbos for your cache A Special Place that we found today. After a hard day yesterday finding the GV2020 series we wanted a more relaxing day. We decided to head out to Beachport for a lunch of fish and chips and concentrate on Adventure Labs. We would also attempt any caches that we saw close by. A chilly day but rewarded by the coastal views.
This was one of the caches we had targeted.

A group of us had met up for a couple of days at Dimboola and then decided to continue on to SA, mainly Millicent, and tackle some of the many caches in the area. As we weren't able to cross the border due to Covid restrictions, it was great to finally be able to visit and make some finds in the area.
When we arrived here, we wondered just how long this might take but it didn't take too long after all. Thank you for placing and now maintaining these caches for us to enjoy.

I was out and about for some post Mega wind down time. After heading to Dimboola for the event weekend I jumped on the end of a convoy to Millicent. Having setup over night it was off to explore today and collect some of the caches from the Mega we couldn’t make it to.
We toured the countryside and very overgrown grass to collect some of the powertrails. To save on log space these were logged as Team Vics (and a couple as VVR). The group included The_Tritonz, Team Crackers, Papi4506, GeoTurtle37, micaparamedic and myself.
All caches were found in good condition.
Thanks cabbos for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to mindful

Love this old style water pump , and such a great hide on this cache . I am enjoy doing caches like this
SL at 5pm. Afternoon of caching with DarthVader69 after dropping off the kids to be minded. 'A Special Place' indeed. Such sad history here aswell. What a beautiful area for a cemetery. So tranquil. Had a wander around the grounds while I was here. Even fixed up some fallen flowers aswell.
*Log is damp but you can still write on it.

In the Millicent area for a few days, we are signing the logs as Vic1. Very well concealed cache. Thanks for placing the cache cabbos.
Today was day 3 of a Millicent blitz with McLookers, Alansee, BeckNmonts, Maccamob and Rabbitto, all signed as Vic1.
My thanks for the cache, cabbos.
My thanks for the cache, cabbos.
Over in SA again with a cut down group of geocaches compared to last time. We felt it was time this group of Victorians found some Millicent caches, as we were banned from the mega! We are signing the logs as Vic1. Thanks for the sometimes challenging caches cabbos!
Found by Mary and David, in company with McLookers, beckNmonts, Alansee, muzza, and Rabbitto (signing as VIC1), at at 10:05. Day 3 of our trip, planned to tackle the many caches around Millicent, as we'd been locked down last year and unable to attend GV2020. Our thanks to cabbos.
We found this cache today on our Millicent Meander - Day 3 in company of Maccamob, BecknMonts, McLookers, Alansee, and Muzza. Starting the day at Rendelsham. We signed the group as Vic1. Thanks from D & HA B-A
Found with a team consisting of BecknMonts, McLookers, Maccamob, Rabbitto, and Muzza. This was our third day in the area and was windy and cold again. We found fewer caches today but that is caching. Many thanks to the CO's for the placements.
Took us a bit, finally spotted by eagle eye dad having a "mum look". Great hiding place
Found with FUF009.
Day 2 of our trip which featured a new skill of tree fishing and crayfish, amongst others. A fun day. Tftc

Found with sharkiefan.
Back in SA, caching around the area with out base being Millicent.
It was 2 years ago on the March long weekend we were last over here. (That was pre covid/lockdown days.)
We had a great time, back then, and when we got home it was only 20days later Vic went into full covid lockdown mode.
The world has changed somewhat since then, but caching still gets us out n about.
And it is kind of fitting that we are back here for a planned interstate caching trip to get us both back into an area we enjoy (not ta mention I always enjoy the SA caches n trails)
This trip we are both armed with some new gear for the new trails. And i had a few caches targeted to help achieve some challenges and stats.
Once again it was a great little break from the norm of life back home.
Once on the right side, we managed to find it quickly.

We have been allowed to travel to South Australia and our first stop was Bordertown then onto Millicent where we will spend a few days before heading towards Adelaide. Today we completed the Crayfish series and were very happy to have finished it and had time to find a few others. We replaced a few logs sheets. SL TFTC
It was time to get on the move agaon with ilook4geo and head to the next destination. We picked out some of the caches to pick up along the way where we could take the caravan safely. This was a nice easy find and after both names were noted on the log all was put back as it had been found. Thank you to cabbos for placing this cache in such a well cared for area.
On the road again with goingplaces2 and visiting various places of interest. A quick find was made of this cache, the log was signed and all was replaced. Job done! Thanks for bringing us here.
Tuesday. On the slow return home from the fun of the Millicent 2021 mega and literally driving back from Mount Gambier to home. The coastal route was choosen and with the expected detours at cachers make mogni and myself only got as far as Beachport before the GPS's where turned off and it was a foot to the floor drive ( well speed limits where obeyed ) to we got back to mogni's house.
Time to head home from the GeoVenture but there was time for Owl and JJ52 to do some more labs and find caches in between. Soon after JJ found this cache they were joined by Webberg and Conardel. One of the joys of lots of cachers in the area.
Our last full day in the Mega area of Millicent and we had planned to search the Mount Gambier area but we scraped that idea and came up with a bit of a different plan to fill the day.
Even with the numbers being down it was great to attend a Mega and at least get to meet some fellow cachers after so long and catch up with a few people, we flew over from Tassie on Thursday and after spending a few days in Adelaide we headed Northeast to clean up some series and then head South to Millicent for the start of the Mega long weekend.
This trip has changed so many times since it was first booked and I'm glad we got to do it at long last, to start with it was just myself and GooseandEgg nipping over for the Mega and then it was a few more days with the addition of 1 toolman, then with lockdown it was back to two of us but then another Tassie cacher in the shape of BudgieTas stepped up to the plate and we were back on for an over a week trip to grab a few caches before the Mega and then finish off with Millicent before flying home on the Tuesday.
Thanks for the cache.

Our last full day and we had to scrap plans for visiting Mt Gambier due to a COVID case. We still had plenty to do around here so kept ourselves busy. Thanks GeoVenture2020 team
The Millicent Mega trip had been a long time in the making, for the Tassie trio of stainless steel rat, budgietas and gooseandegg, due to a couple of false starts thanks to COVID19. More and more caches were added to the extensive list as planning was being finalized. We focused on old caches, large caches, certain D/Ts, virtual caches, the On your Bike series and a few other special ones on our journey. Our route saw us caching in Adelaide for a few days before heading north via Gawler to the Barossa in preparation for the On your Bike series, whilst basing ourselves at a gorgeous cottage in Waikerie. We continued on to Renmark for a night before the long trek south to Millicent.
Some of the many highlights along the way were Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin’s Cache, Barossa High and Riverland (the oldest surviving geocache in South Australia).
At the Mega we caught up with a few of our caching friends, made some new ones, and of course missed many who could not make it this time. The weather was not the best in Millicent, and a COVID19 situation in Mt Gambier altered our plans but we had plenty of caches to keep us busy between showers, including tree climbs, plenty of adventure labs, and the entertaining Finding a Fish series - giving the new pole a good workout for the first time.
Thanks to all the CO’s who have placed and maintained all these caches that made our adventure so memorable.

Early in 2021 I received an invite from GoosenEgg and Stainless Steel Rat to join them on a caching trip to the Mega in South Australia. As planning got underway some caches with high Favorite points, very old caches, and the On Your Bike Series were listed as "must-dos"
The trip ended up being 10 days of solid and very enjoyable caching with quite a few highlights. The find count for the trip was around the 950 mark when all GCA, Adventure Lab, and GC caches are included. The high point for finds was a day of 335 finds in the one day, which would have been more, but a sudden storm put the end to caching for the day. No one was interested in getting out of the car to find a cache in a downpour in the dark
We were lucky enough to find Gawler Fort Knox, Dustin's Cache, and my favorite for the trip Barossa High (From 21st of January 2001 with the original log book still in place) all in the one day.
Unfortunately, the caching around the mega was beset by bad weather and the day we had put aside for Mount Gambier was scrapped due to a covid case in Mount Gambier on the previous day, so we avoided the area. We all enjoyed the Fishing series and just managed to get the remaining of these before the light failed for the day.
In the end I managed to completed my D/T grid for the first (and possibly the second time) which was my aim for the year, although some of the D/T combinations were not really achievable in Tasmania without a 3 day overnight bush walk.

Meandering up the Western Australia coast, the Northern Territory, and South Australia, we have finally arrived down south of SA.
Down the Highway and byways, tracks and trails, the geological, historical, the fun geocaches, traveling this great country through the eyes of a geocacher has lead us to some fantastic outlooks.
Thanks to all the COs for placing these Geocaches, it makes the Adventure more interesting.
We found your cache container, a nice quick find, and with signing duties done and dusted we replaced it as found.
Definitely a favourite point from us

Came here today to say farewell to one of my life long friends, it was a sad day but it was a good celebration of his life. Good crowd, a bit of bullshit spread evenly ( we can't remember everything as it was all those years ago)and a few drams of whiskey drank.
And your cache before hand was good as well, tftc.

After four days in the southeast and Coorong earlier in the week, I returned with FeatherWaite for an extended weekend of caching in the area.
We traveled down the Coorong through Kingston and across to Millicent, then cached around Millicent and attended the events. On the second day we toured around Tantanoola before making our way up to Naracoorte for the evening.
We camped out near Millicent on the first night and at Cockatoo Lake, north of Narracoorte on the second.
On the final day we headed up to Mundulla, Bordertown and Keith, then through Ngarkat to Lameroo before heading for home.

Today I collected a few caches around Mount burr before heading to the CITO in Millicent then out for the day with Freddo finding a few UNALs and the odd cache around the south east. A good day out overall.

Teamed up with Sebastbat, and JEM.

Stay safe out there, caches and their hidey holes can be dirty!
wash your hands, wipe down your cache gear,
sanitise, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season gets to you and
cache the countryside safely distanced at least a roo or an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Have fun ! ! !

The great Southeast Saunter with Anymules down to the Millicent area to find caches associated with the postponed GV2020 mega. But with leave organized and accommodation booked the caching trip was not postponed! [^]
Day 2: Today we decided to head westward taking in Rendelsham, then through Canunda National Park to Southend. Then it was east via some back roads and lanes to the Princes Highway, then back towards our Millicent base as once again darkness overtook us and it was time to call it a day. All up about 50 finds, 1 DNF and 3 non attempted as it was way to windy to be high up some of the trees.
Great little idea for a cache hide that we quickly found.
***Thanks cabbos for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

All up about 50 finds, 1 DNF and 3 non attempted as it was way to windy to be high up some of the trees.
Great little idea for a cache hide that we quickly found.
***Thanks cabbos for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Didn’t take too long to spot this one.

This weekend, I headed to the Limestone Coast / south-east primarily for some cave diving, but also to fill in extra time visiting new places and geocaching. It was only an overnight trip, and so was rather jam-packed. I drove via Keith and Naracoorte to scuba dive Little Blue Lake on Saturday, followed by a visit to Port MacDonnell's west and night caching around Mount Burr. Sunday had me do another cave dive followed by geocaching around Mount Burr and Millicent, and then on to visiting Rendelsham and Southend, before driving back via Kingston and the Coorong. A weekend of mixed weather.
Today, after a morning cave dive, I met gridge98 at Mount Burr, and we had time to complete a few of the caches around the pine forests and *Native* series. We then travelled to Millicent for a few high D/T caches and the late lunch event. It was then on to Rendelsham and then Southend via Canunda National Park. A sandy 4x4 track was a bit of fun, whilst enjoying the coastal views as I headed into town. Not as nice weather as the previous day with on/off drizzles, but still an enjoyable day.
A rather quiet place today. I made the walk through the cemetery just as the heavens opened up (fitting isn't it - and I was talking about rain). This elusive cache had me looking for a good 5-10 min, until I found it nicely hidden tucked away. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I thought the coordinates were pretty well bang on. Thanks cabbos for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Cemeteries have an air of silence and deep reflection. A quiet place to sit awhile, to take a moment of reflection, appreciation and gratitude for those we love and those we have lost.
This is the 2nd cemetery I have visited now in my pursuit to find a cache. It’s been a great way to push myself out of my comfort zone at a particularly difficult time of year.
Loss can either consume us or lead us to a point of gratefulness. Loved ones who are lost should always carry a special place on our hearts but them not physically being with us should not stop us in our pursuit of happiness.
Today I sat a while, was thankful for years of wonderful memories and was pushed to visit a place that has always been difficult.
TYFTC - with the sincerest of gratitude

After tackling the nearby tree climbing caches we managed to grab a couple more before heading home.

We went to Southend and Beachport for the day in Whitepaws9’s car. We did some multis while we were there. Also trekking through the National Park. We had a good time. Beautiful beaches.

Based in Millicent, for a few days, with our caching buddies and fellow Victorians, the Suscoe duo. Today we enjoyed a coastal adventure from Beachport to Southend. The scenery was stunning, equal to, if not more impressive than Vitoria's Great Ocean Road in parts. Again places we would not have visited had someone not placed a cache there.
Thank you for sharing this special place with us - what a fascinating history!
Thanks 'cabbos' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Suscoe was out and about today with our good friends Phetlern yet again for a day of fun caching and seeing the sights and sites of the area between Millicent, Southend and Beachport.
What an amazing area and we really enjoyed the coastal scenery with the sandstone and limestone cliffs and the sea coming in in waves.
It was a cold start to the day but with a clear sky early we had a delightful day with sunshine and an almost warm touch to the air later in the afternoon.
Thanks to the cabbos for showing us this spot, so quiet here and the area is well looked after.

Forgot to log this one on the weekend. After we failed to find the Oxidizing Oddity we headed up here. Geohound just loves cemeteries and this was the 3rd of the day. This was a tricky cache to extract needed super bendy forearms. Got it in the end. TFTC Cabbos we enjoyed the tranquility here and had a moment to remember my own lovely Dad who died this year. First Christmas without him. RIP Dad.
