Can't find 2938, let alone the cache, checked all the obvious spots, but in vain. tftc with jeffner5556
Looked in all the usual places, couldn't find the number either. High, low and under. So didn't find it with Sarge5556.
We are not having much luck today. We are looking at the grass fire in the distant which we are heading too so need to keep going
Visiting friends in Whyalla and came to this town for some fishing. Had to find at least one cache so tried this one. Found fairly quickly in the obvious spot. Gorgeous day today. Thanks for the cache
Out for a morning walk around Cowell. It was pure coincidence that a cache was on the path (yeah, right).Big thanks heaps for the cache!
Tftc. As soon as I saw it. I knew there would be a cache on it somewhere And wow, I couldn't believe it.....first place I checked
Haha of all the caches on guns buggar me only ever found one so giving this one a wide berth
We are travelling with Pprass and after a small delay at the hospital in Whyalla for an Xray for Mr Morris we have now arrived in Cleve for a couple of days. So much to see and do here and the weather has been sunny and conducive to getting out and about. Today we headed around town and country towards Cowell for lunch collecting some caches and AdLabs.Well the hint didn't help but Pprass looked at the obvious hidey hole and there it was. Thanks for the tour around the area Lilysu&Boxer
Found at 2:23 PM in the company of The Morris. We didn't understand the hint, but tried the usual hiding spots for these caches and there itwas - in the second spot tried [^]Thanks to Lilysu&Boxer
Away for a few days to the west coast to clear up some caches.Day 1 Adelaide to KimbaDay 2 Wudinna to CleveDay 3 CleveDay 4 Cleve to WhyallaDay 5 Whyalla to AdelaideThe weather was excellent for all 5 days and the nights weren't too cold for the swag. Thanks to all cachers who placed and maintained caches for me to find.Workers were nearby but they didn't seem to care.TFTC
WA Big Trip Winter 2024. Day 9 - Whyalla to Cleve via Cowell. I have reached my first area with new counties to be tackled, but it was mostly a roadside day of caching with a side trip into Cowell and an afternoon on Cleve where I am spending the night at the show grounds. The silo art in Cowell was amazing and the trip out to the jetty for one of the Labs was very bouncy on the scooter. I even managed to large metalwork caches without any dramas. As ever, a bit of history thrown in during the day and a few random spots to keep it all interesting. I fear these things. I decided to give it a go and found it in the fourth spot I usually start looking in. I never saw the number mentioned, but I am always happy to find a cache on a gun. Thanks for the cache Lilysu&Boxer46573.12 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & 2015 31 Days of Geocaching A#317**Albida**
Tried hunting for 2938, but couldn't locate it. Found plenty of 2939's. Gave up and hunted for the cache. Soon had it in hand.TFTC SL
We definitely looked suspicious as we looked in front of people at happy hour. Thanks!!
We are doing a short small group tour around the Eyre Peninsula this week and stopped here for lunch. While our 'leader' prepared a bbq lunch for us there was time to explore the town, and find a couple of caches. I followed the GPS to GZ. Oh no, one of those to search!Surprisingly I put my hand on the cache in the 3rd spot I tried, and in only about 2 minutes. The hint was very helpful! That meant I still had time to look round the town and walk out on the boardwalk and see the views before lunch was ready.TFTC # 5939
Left Whyalla RV Camp this morning and now heading to Cleve but a stop in Cowell first. Slowly making our way back home to SW of WA, 10 days until home.Grabbing a few caches as we go. Thought we might be here for a while but found it second place I put the TOTT.TFTC
Thanks for the cache. Fortunately we managed without the hint. A lucky quick find. Out with Offwiththe_fairies. Nice hide.
TFTC Lilysu&Boxer your cache Main Street Guardian that we found today. Camped in Cowell. After a morning on the water doing some fishing we headed out to firstly attempt the multi at Millers Point and then head back into town to find the caches in town, A successful time. Then we headed into some shade to escape the extreme heat. Not a fan of caches on machinery , we generally struggle. This morning we found it in the first place we looked.Find Count: 17590
Over in Cowell for some R&C (Rest & Caching) and to target some excellent Gadget caches we were told about. Tonight we noticed this was just up the road from our campsite so we decided to have a nice evening stroll. Groan,,,,as the hiding place came into view and being under the eyes of a Pack of muggles in the nearby hotel we didn't like our chances. Thankfully the cache presented itself rather quickly! Phew...now back to camp for dinner! TFTC
From 16 December 2023 to 19 December 2023, I and J plus the little one visited Coffin Bay National Park and Lincoln National Park, together with countless cities and towns on the way. We also found over 40 caches during the trip, including traditional cache, mystery cache, multi cache, virtual cache, EarthCache, and Adventure Lab cache.17 December 2023, Day 2, we found 14 caches. This was our third find for today, also 12th cache we found for the whole trip.At GZ, I found the cache without the help of hint.Signed the log, and put it back. No muggles around. Thanks for the cache, Lilysu&Boxer.----**South Australia will host a Leap Day Mega Event on 29th February 2024. GCA1DNA: The Great Leap Forward. Count down: 73 days.**
Day 5 of our west-east roadtrip, just across the peninsula from Elliston to Cowell today. After resting awhile after our arrival in town we wend for a wander down the main passing by GZ. Not normally one for a gun micro, the clear instruction in the manual made it reasonably simple to claim a smiley here. Thanks for the find Lilysu&Boxer
Ocw the Bebes as we visit Cowell. The hint did not help even once found. Just look in the obvious spots and you will find it. Tftc
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa In Cowell for a few days, took a walk around town to get our bearings. Nicely tucked away.Tftc
Decided to have a farming, silo, ocean return jaunt to Port Lincoln. Hmmm 563 km and $120 fuel bill later we finished the enjoyable drive.
Geo Chatterbox loves the challenge of these gin caches. Had it in his hand very quickly.

Found on our way past while heading south for Port Lincoln today. After lunch at the local cafe, dropped past this piece of artillery to have a look for the cache. Couple laps around and the cache was in hand. All is good and dry, but doesn’t have a lid. Cheers.
Find #6005 on 28 Jun 2023.

If its in the tip of the gun, no one can reach in our group. Plus all the muggles at the pub watching us climb all over the gun.
Great Hide

Teamed up with another group of cachers. Took a search but finally put our hand on the prize. TFTC
Found the numbers 2939 as the other catchers had shared but could not find the cache
Spotted it from the right angle. However, we could not find the number the hint suggested.
Heading over to tackle a few days on Eyre Peninsula with Mattycat and Perfect Di, Day 2 had us exploring Iron Knob to Kimba then on the back roads to Whyalla, after exploring Lake Giles we started the FITG series until road closures and large lake covering road stopped our approach from the north, however we could get around and approach from the other side, once we got to FITG #15 we hit another flooded road so a new way home was found and took us past here, under the cover of darkness and no muggle activity it was a quick find and sign

The search for the cache is never easy on military equipment. And this was no different. But persistence was rewarded. TFTCache.
Took off to the North West a bit with Purrfect Di to avoid the rains back home.
Turned out this worked quite well as we only had a couple of showers for the whole weekend and saw some great scenery and found the odd cache or two!
BANG !!! Thankfully a nice quick search revealed the prize for a log.
Many thanks to Lilysu&Boxer for placing and maintaining this cache on our SA geo-map

Travelling around - searching, spotting and signing cache logs using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S21u, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just a guyess or plain old dumb luck
Plenty of that luck stuff actually !!!
*All the online logs are composed and published with GSAK of course.*
---
Beware! Caching is a very hazardous activity!
Look out for sand, mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, roos, wombats, things falling from trees, bulldust, and floods, and sharp rocks in your tyres
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall off your ladder...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- and do watch out for germs and bugs !!! . [xx(]
Make Travel Bugs the Only bugs you share and pass on
Keep your distance - cache the countryside
Really fantastic of all those placing quality caches out and about around the country areas,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting
Thanks so much for reading all this extra addition to the log word count! There's a challenge somewhere out there, apparently! You win a virtual smiley for the effort and getting to the end of the log Maybe if I worked out where I could do it and go back to normal logs again !

Day 9 week 2 of 5 weeks holiday.
Rockhampton to all over South Australia and other places.
Temp 6 degrees, feels like 0 on the waterfront area….. Brrrrr
Searched the usual typical spots when we finally found the magic number.
Buttons gets down and removes the usual debris such as small stones etc (how on earth these get in there I have no idea) and calls that it’s clear. Hmmmmm…….
I decide it’s time to have a man look look and under a second later it’s in my hand.
Signed and returned.
Note: the eclipse tin is missing it’s lid (btw being on a metal item you may have guessed that this is magnetic.
The hint is wrong. The number is not 2938, it’s 2939.
Edit…… the bakery here in town does NOT open at 8am. It’s now 8:45 and no sign of movement.

Found with 2 of us looking. Stayed in the caravan park for a couple of nights. Foreshore development is taking a long time! Thanks
Bingo bango and phew. Usually approach such hard wear with trepidation but the good clue is beaut for a public spot. Enroute to Port Lincoln with time to stop in this lovely well kept historic town. Day 15 in SA after numerous trips were sabotaged due to you know what and its a fab day. The Ikera- Flinders Ranges, Whyalla, Port Lincoln and a few in between caches are high on the list along with several other random caches so hoping to tick all boxes before heading back to home base. I’ve learnt theRE are plenty of quality SA caches - plenty to pique the curiosity and anticipation of another surprise or fun cache. TFTC AND THE FUN and the effort to contribute to this fave game.
Another cache found during our 2022 South Australia Adventure using Geocaching as our guide.
Surprisingly, we mad a quick find today.
Thanks Lilysu&Boxer.

A couple of days staying in this historic town saw me meandering around reading about the history and checking out the buildings. I spotted the familiar sight and thought there must be a cache there and there was. I found it in the second place I looked. The lid and pen are missing but otherwise ok. I continued to the boat ramp and spotted a painted stone but didn’t move it on. TFTC TNLN SL
Been meaning to find this one for a very long time and finally did so this evening on a strangely quiet night in Cowell. TFTC
