The bridge was closely inspected and found to be in perfect working order.I was glad I still had my bike helmet on. TFTC
The last part of the journey starts on the southern part of the island. Our group (downunder24) visits beautiful places with the aim of collecting caches. It is very impressive. Thank you very much. Greetings from Germany, muschel3
Danke fr diesen Geocache. Danke fr die Ausarbeitung. Danke frs Zeigen.Lieber Gru aus Duisburg / DeutschlandAndyDieser Logeintrag wird mit Hilfe von Google bersetzt.__________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________We set off on a long journey with 37 geocachers from Germany, Denmark, Luxembourg and Switzerland. Three weeks to Australia and New Zealand, starting with a stopover in Doha, Qatar. I have never been so long and so far away from home. An exciting time. When geocaching, the focus was on many different cache types, but also special ratings, challenges and especially a few very old caches from the years 2000 and 2001. But also, of course, especially the geocaches that were easily accessible on foot from the hotel.Of course, the focus wasn't just on geocaching; the sights of the individual stations we visited also deserved attention. We entered our team name Downunder 2024 in the logbooks, saving logbook space and efficiently. It was a very special trip in a large team, which was also a lot of fun.Today we took the ferry via Marlborough Sonds to Picton and then the bus from Picton to Blenheim. Thanks for this geocache. Thanks for the elaboration. Thank you for showing me.Kind regards from Duisburg / GermanyAndyThis log entry is translated with the help of Google.
Together with 36 other geocachers, the KiSt team undertook a very long trip to Australia ???? and New Zealand ???? for three weeks. On both the outward and return journeys, there was a stopover in Doha, the capital of Qatar ????.We experienced a great deal on this trip and gained many very different impressions of the two countries, their nature and their culture. Of course, the main focus was on visiting as many caches of as many different types as possible and also all accessible old cans. However, we also made sure to visit many special places of interest and to gain as comprehensive an impression as possible of nature and its flora and fauna. To save the logbooks, we usually signed in with our team name **Downunder24**. For "special" cans, however, we have not missed the opportunity to leave our nickname as well. This beautiful cache is now also one of our finds.Due to the large number of caches visited, it is unfortunately not possible for us to write an individual log for each can, which is why we would like to apologize to the owners for this collective log.We also met other cachers at some of the events and were able to share our experiences. Many thanks to the event owners!Of course we would like to thank all the owners for showing us the great locations, the sometimes tricky puzzles, exciting multis and wherigos, as well as the interesting virtuals and earth caches - TFTC!!!---In der Besetzung KiSt unternahmen wir zusammen mit 36 weiteren Geocachern fr drei Wochen eine sehr weite Reise nach Australien ???? und Neuseeland ????.

We arrived in New Zealand. And we are sooooo happy about it. We (Team Downunder24) discovered the island by looking for some caches. We could see many nice places, landscapes, sheeps and beautiful buildings. We enjoyed our stay very much. Amazing. "Bridge Inspection (Marlborough)" was one of the caches we could find during our bus tour from the north to the south. Thanks bumandworker for showing that place

Greetings from Germany/Luxembourg

**20,027**Mr Geckoh was getting a bit frustrated with this one, backwards and forwards up and down. Never quite sure if he was in the right spot. Mrs Geckoh decided to join in to speed things up and the isnt you know it (after reading some previous logs) Mr Geckoh laid his hand on the cache with a sigh of relief. TFTC
I have no idea if this is it - but 2 wee boys found a box . Containing a lot of vapes at this location
Was on call for work but needed 20 caches today for a personal challenge. Fortunately the weather was great and I had reserved some nearby caches. Have had a quick look for this cache before but today decided to give it a closer inspection. Took a while but got there in the end. Thanks
This was a bit of a head scratcher and a towser. Luckily we had a previous finder who dug deep into the memory which helped no end!! Happy to sign! TFTC and the fun experience.
That one took a while to spot indeed. Back and forth and around and around then huzzah, there it was! A quick reposition and then success. Cheers
Saw this one a while bag but couldn't get to it.. so technically found but couldn't log. That changed today! TFTC.. it was harder being a non-nimble-person but we did it!!
Since my original plan of being in Auckland this long weekend is not possible, I decided to head South for a couple of days. Took the ferry from Wellington yesterday morning, picked up a cheap rental, and off I went. I was targeting some specific caches for a personal goal as well as some fun mystery solves and some just 'cos. This was one of them.
All good here, found without too much trouble. TFTC

Been here 4 years ago so good to have a yellow smiley now. Thanks to reading the logs I looked in a different place. Tftc
Heading on a geo adventure with BCD to the top of the South Island...Picton, Blenheim, Havelock and Nelson.
Day 4
Exploring Blenheim and around the vineyards today back to town and time to stretch the legs with a bit of a walk. We had a quick look here at the start of our walk but decided to have a closer inspection on our way back.
On our return I literally sat myself down, waited for a muggle to pass then got the torch on my phone out and it was wham bam straight in front of me!!! Now that definitely makes up for all those finds I struggled with today!!!

Somehow this got tucked away in my drafts. !!! Found while with a group of friends doing some cycling around Blenheim Cheers ????
In the South Island from Tauranga on a six week holiday and now following the PWGT. I hope to have the tour completed before I get home. Today is a day in Blenheim to gather a few extra smileys. Nicely concealed.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Well that wasn't too bad..sure didn't come up smelling of roses though 1that fennel smell lingersthanks
Sometimes being small and agile helps. Didn't take long to grovel under and in. There was a dead animal very close to gz but no smell thank goodness. The bikers think they are the only one to use the bridge so had to be aware all the time. Thanks for the placement bumandworker
On this day 10 years ago the Tuoleis were living in Christchurch and we had a very different day indeed, with Mr Tuolei in the Press building. How lovely to be out here on holiday doing something so relaxing and gentle compared to that horrid day. Thanks to the COs of Marlborough for putting on a good day for us.
As part of our perambulations around the place we enjoyed a walk at the nearby historic village, and saw that this cache was here so decided to take a walk up and have a look to see if we were up to a D4. We inspected fairly thoroughly and after a while managed to make the find - certainly we could see how it could either be found quickly with luck or be a real nuisance. Replaced as found to ensure it stayed challenging as intended.
We enjoyed this cache so thank you to the CO for placing it for us to find. Looking at a few of the recent logs there's quite a few cachers who should no better forgetting to say thank you in their logs - not good enough.
Thanks to the CO - cache is in excellent condition.

A nice quick find thanks. Searched for this in the middle of the nearby adventure lab, and was successful this time.
Ms_KR and I are on our annual pilgrimage to Auckland for our family Christmas. Today are cruising around Blenheim. Please excuse the generic logs, there have been a few finds and they get muddled up sometimes.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Came out here to finish the Italian Campaign and in the best tradition of the Engineers did a little bridge inspection as well.
After checking the movement of rain clouds, we packed up and decided to head north for a few days' adventure! I had all active geocaches I have not found yet in the South Island loaded on the GPS, but not particular plan as we only decided that morning. We ended up finding quite a few cool caches and had heaps of fun! This listing caught my eye, so we had to stop by! Great to inspect the bridge and make a find! TFTC!!
As a break from a string of WoM finds I decided this one was less out of the way today. Having previously found it ready for the signing day, it took less than a minute from the carpark. Signed and returned ready for the next inspection.
In town from Christchurch for Mr12s soccer tournament...not a lot of time for caching; but managed a quick stop and find here on a 30min cache adventure in the late afternoon before needing to round up the boys for tea! I inspected the bridge & all was good
Super fun to find!! Found quickly and was awesome fun to retrieve!!
Thanks for the cache

I tried to find this cache at 12:55:00 PM on 25/01/2019.
I didn't have much luck which could have been for many reasons. I shall return at a later date.

Hope to come back later today for a look.

Setting out for a bike ride about quarter to seven we saw a person in high vis inspecting the bridge - have you found it? Returning down that side later, stopped to look. But the street lights were on, took the bike light off to use as a
torch, dropped the elastic holder and had to search for that instead! Maybe this is one for full daylight!

Arrived in Blenheim off the morning ferry and decided to ignore the rain clouds and cycle up to the Taylor River retention dam and back before dinner. We only got a little wet on a really interesting trail' This one was tricky and as it had started to rain, too tricky for us. TFTC
Reasonably quick find by Mr TEF, retrieved by the smallest cachelette. TFTC.
bother....well that was not going to happen today....I will try for another inspection soon.....may be about 2 weeks.
Oh....and wont be washed away !

Tricky find this afternoon! Took a few minutes to track down, very nicely hidden. Good thing it was quiet in this area today, would have looked pretty curious. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache!
In town for the day with lots of time to spare. Nigel navigator is loaded and my little friend Whero and his bike so its the Taylor River today.
This far up the creak bed its dry so we walk across the river bed instead of the bridge. I manage not to slide down the bank but Whero managed it beautifully. Cheers

At last I got one today. Good bit of thinking to come up with best approach but my plan worked well. Cache in hand, quickly signed and returned. Tftc.
Completed a though inspection and eventually able to declare bridge requirements met. Tftc
Taking a walk along taylors reserve, hadn't planned on going this far and got too dark to search , had no torch and phone was low.
Yebo bumandworker
Terrain 2??? Alright let's do this one, though I can count way more than 3 decades... somehow I managed to get to the correct sight inspection point to SL plus to return
All good with the bridge:-)
