Just before leaving Aidelaid River there was one more cache to go for and we found this one.Team Mavos - Albert and Maria
Wow what a great cache Lumpyjrb, and such fun to find. Buddy the geodog helped us with this one. Found on July 3, 2024. # 9484
Last day of my drive from Melbourne to Darwin. An easy find and recovery. Tftc!
Couple of minutes looking for good but obvious hiding spots and bingo. Just a log in there
Eventually managed to do this cache on our road trip with our muggle friends. Will have to do others on another day. In true Richard style. TFTC
Riddled with ants, and there were nasty bite fly things, but otherwise very cool, would not have known about those ruins without the cache
Day 77 of our greynomad trip up north from Vic, after a the JLWEvents in Wudinna SA, a tour of Maralinga and caching to claim LGAs in the Eyre Peninsula, through to Alice Springs, Uluru, Darwin, Kakadu and Litchfield we continue our journey back south. It is also day 76 of a streak, so we are keeping it rolling.
Cache found quickly and in good condition.

Hidden in plain sight! Had to check other places because GPS was being weird near GZ. Very fun, tftc!
My friend BLM1973 and I found it on our way back to Darwin from Katherine Thanks for the cache
Second day if cache hunting and still loving it. Lucky I wore my work boots to find this one!
Travelling with richlink on a trip from Perth to Darwin and return through the centre to SA and home again. We are in Darwin for a few days before heading south again.Today, we drove to Adelaide River, enjoying the scenery, history, and, of course, caches along the way. Thanks Lumpyjrb.
Travelling with iluvtrekking and presently caching in Darwin and surrounds - heading for a day in Adelaide River. Quick find. Thanks for the hide.
We stopped for this purely because of the name. In our case goose=Richard.
Thanks Lumpyjrb
Our Northern Territory journey began in Darwin around 3am after a very delayed flight. We drove as far north as Fresh Water Camp (northeast of Darwin), followed by a loop to Liberated Cox (out to the west) and Litchfield National Park returning to Darwin. We then headed south with overnight stops at Katherine, Daly Waters and Devils Marbles before reaching our southernmost accommodation at Erldunda. From here we did a day trip to Lamberts Gravitational Centre on onward past Finke. Our last couple of days were in Alice Springs with a side trip via Hermannsburg and Glen Helen, all up covering just under 3800km. My thanks to all the COs with hides throughout the territory for helping make our trip so enjoyable.
Thanks Lumpyjrb

A short walk in the long grass and the cache was ours.
This trip was sort of in place of a trip to a Mega that got canceled due to accommodation problems, I was quite happy when Goose said do you fancy to caching break in the Northern Territory as this would be the last State or Territory for me in Australia.
Our plan was to fly into Darwin on the Friday night have a couple days in the area then start heading South stopping overnight whenever we needed to, our next goal was the drive to the geographic centre of Australia at Lambert Centre and then head back to Alice to fly home ten days later.
We both had a great trip finding some important old caches, large ones and the odd clever one too, we found Ammo Cans all over the place which was nice as i think we have found most of the ones at home in Tassie.
Thanks for the cache.

We arrived into Adelaide River today and found that the rodeo was on and starting at 4. So we decided to check out everything around town in the morning before attending in the afternoon.
Some interesting history around this little area. A nice little hide.
TNLNSL Thanks for the hide

This one was found in really good condition and at an interesting site. We had previously had a DNF at a WW2 site so we were pretty hot and exhausted from that. Arriving into Adelaide river we needed lunch and a Gatorade. Thanks for this cache
A nice idea. Thanks for that. It is something different than most other caches along the way.
An ants nest had formed in the geocache that wrre quite shocked we took their home away. Thank you!
206. Found on Monday 22.08.22 on route from Darwin to Katherine. This was very creative and clever and I loved this one, thanks!
Out and about catching some caches while on a short quick visit back to my hometown. Thanks for making us stop here. I hadn't noticed this before
A stop at Adelaide River today as we meander our away from Darwin to Batchelor.
And after an ice cream stop, we came for a short walk to find this historic location.
Thanks Lumpyjrb. Nice to find this one of yours here!

Continuing to enjoy our stay in Darwin, loving the warmth and the general vibe of the place. Will be back here again for sure. Here till the end of the week before heading slowly south again via Kakadu.
Today we headed out for a drive to Berry Springs for a swim / soak / float and then to Adelaide River to visit the War Cemetery.
A nice quick find here today, now for ice poles for the drive back to Darwin.
**Thanks for placing this cache Lumpyjrb**

Ah another Lumpyjrb cache, we thought they were mainly around Katherine. Geez the nearby refreshment spot gets amazingly busy, glad we werent planning on going to the shop here.
Sneaky spot for a cache, almost missed it!
This cache was found on our way down from Darwin to Katherine, we decided it was a good spot to go for a wander and have a cool drink, the huge trees all around this area made the area seem cooler. While we were stopped there must have been a couple of dozen road trains go through, so busy.
Thanks Lumpyjrb for yet another cache along our travels, found it, signed it and replaced safe and sound as found. TNLN

Easily found, the container is not as described but easily located.
Ants have taken over GZ but offered only minimal resistance.

Nice little hide. Following our friends FredLuskan (who found this cache yesterday), on our way to the Birdsville Big Red Bash. TFTC
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Found not quite as described but easy enough. It was covered in green ants when container was extracted.
Thanks Lumpyjrb for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

T-Tech and I have flown up from Brisbane for a mini-holiday with family. We met up with our son and his wife and two little ones at Litchfield Park this afternoon where we explored Buley Rockholes and Florence Falls, and this evening we all headed down to Adelaide River to have dinner at Digger's Bistro.
Before the long drive back to Darwin, T-Tech and I stopped to secure this cache. It was hard going in the dark with head torches, but he soon called out that he had made the find. TFTC, Lumpyjrb.

IolantheK and I arrived from Brisbane and organised to meet up with our Son, his wife and the Grandies. After visiting Lichfield NP and swimming a Buleys Water holes and a bit to eat next door it was now time to return to Darwin. But not before a bit of night caching.
Not the easiest cache to find in the dark

Having said our goodbyes to goingplaces2 and ilook4geo, who were going south and we were going north, we stopped at Adelaide River to dump some waste and then find a shady spot for lunch - which turned out to be just 50 metres from this cache!
While lunch was being prepared p-pprass went over to find the cache and as he was trying to narrow down the distance from 7 metres that was showing on the GPSr, he glanced down to a pipe and - what the heck is that!
Saw a familiar container and as he pulled it out a swarm of ants came rushing out - sorry, but there is a cache here that was probably here before your little nest!
Thanks Lumpyjrb for the original placement, but really thanks to L&B for their maintenance.
Feedback: Thanks to L&B for the replacement of the log sheet - the CO's around here have abandoned their caches and have made it an unpleasant experience for us tourists.

Tricky find! attacked by green ants
No log book and didn’t have something to replace it with.

Took a while as I tried not to twist an ankle in the hidden holes. Clever idea. TFTC
Heading further into the territory we took the opportunity to collect as many smilies along the way as we could within the timeframe we had, happy to say we came up trumps here and came away with a smiley TFTC

Placed geocoins 20, 21 & 22 from our tour - back to the track.
Log book full.

Good spot - in front of the geocache there’s a yellow stone with Greek writing on it idk what it says
With great difficulty and ingenuity hubby retrieved the cache which was last signed in 2019. He left an attachment to make it easier to retrieve. The log is damp and almost full. I'm not sure what a few people who said they signed a new log are signing as there was no new log in the cache. Pictures attached. TFTC
