Out with Cheezel this afternoon. Checked in all the logical places and came up empty.Decided to look further afield and came up with the goods.TFTC
Owl was alerted that the cache might be missing. It is now back for your dining pleasure.
Out for some April Fools geocaching.Id solved this puzzle while ago, but just hadnt been in this area to attempt the find. It took me a few minutes to find, as my calculated coordinates were 10 meters off. But they were only really two likely hiding spots. And, of course, I found it in the second of those likely hiding spots.Well, not actually in, but on the ground about a metre away. But it was in great shape, and I replaced it where it is likely supposed to be living.TFTC.
Finally i can cross this one off.
I no longer work out this way so am opportunity presented itself today and i thought why not.

The council cut down the original hide and has now cut down the replacement. rather than risk the destruction of yet another tree, the cache has been replaced in the stump. Now very small!
With the weather so good it would have been a shame to stay home and do not much today. So jumped into the car and headed out to the north eastern suburbs. All up 18 caches were found, 2 DNF and one was given away as the area looked to "snakey" for my liking. All caches were in pretty good condition. TFTC to all COs.
Had noticed that this one had been replaced so came back for another look. Had not noticed the slight change of co-ords but managed to get my name in the almost fresh log anyway.
Thanks Doctor Owl for putting it here

Quick find at GZ today although I disregarded the cache to start with as I thought it was a piece of rubbish
This morning after being restricted at home for the past few days I had hoped to get away for an overnighter but due to the weather forecast I decided to cache around the north east suburbs and pick up the few I had left. Found 35 for the morning.
Thanks for the cache

Councils keep cutting down the trees where Owl's caches are hidden. Hopefully, this one will stand the test of time! (Cache replaced BTW. Please note slight change to coordinates.)
some flora has been cut down and removed. Maybe the cache with it. No finds in almost 2 years. It could do with a check.
Big day out planned with the JAMMS crew (JJ52, Allisterw, Mogni and SirSpectre). Left home at 7.20am and arrived back home at 7.20pm. It was a fun day out, with lots of caches found, a few dnf, a few caches replaced. We attempted to use our TOTTs but were thwarted on more than one occasion for one reason or another.
All up 20 caches found for M&h including some that would never have been found without a team effort. Thanks to all the CO for putting out fun hides and maintaining for our enjoyment, greatly appreciated.
Sadly a dnf here could not find a cache here today. TFTH Doctor Owl

An appropriately themed puzzle that didn't take long to figure out.
Final coordinates seemed to be a little out, but cache was found after a short search of the likely spots.
Thanks Doctor Owl for the puzzle and the cache.

Out and about with SupaOrange. Clever cache which thankfully even we could solve. Thanks
This was a cache I never really had any insight on. I must be too young. Found with Csaba! before my weekend sport. Tra La Laaa
Anymules joined Mrs. SA. Sewer Rat and I for our now usual Tuesday caching adventures. [8)] Having achieved momentarily temporary Reel Nirvana on a recent Tuesday our plan for the day was to see if we could Anymules closer, rectify a few DNF's and find as many multi caches as we could. Leaving home at 8.00 a.m. and not returning to 1.00 a.m. you would think with 17 hours of daylight and nighttime caching I would have found hundreds. Not-so, We revisited quite a few that one or more had already done and multi-caches take a little longer than trads. Managed to find 30 caches but added three more DNF's to my list! [B)]
Okay, two previous finders and I was the only one with this still showing as unfound on the map...but hey we were just passing. Almost by itself the geomobile stopped and I just had to go for a look. Just as well I had the previous experience with me as it was not found in the area the GPS wanted me to search.
**Thanks Doctor Owl for this cache. **

Having failed some months ago the dork and frog decided on a return visit since the CO fixed it sometime back, after a bit of searching the well hidden cache was finally found, time to give Chinese a rest and try a different cuisine

The cache had gone out to dinner and didn't return. A replacement takeaway meal has been supplied.
Despite two sets of eyes tonight while we searched by torchlight, maybe we have cache blindness or maybe the little campsite at GZ with a nice little pile of wood set up as a campfire may have comprmised the cache either way we will put on our watch list and visit again in the future till then TFTC
MM+2 solved this puzzle a while ago, but never found ourselves caching close by so it has sat in the solved pile for too long. Saturday morning seems to be the only chance we get to grab a few caches these days, so a few showers didn't hold us back. Luckily there was a break in the weather when we arrived at GZ. Unfortunately the coordinates took us to a spot that wasn't really anywhere a cache could be hidden. After a bit of unfruitful searching in one direction, we stood still and looked around for likely spots, and one area reminded us of similar hides by the CO. Sure enough, we soon had the cache found, the log signed and everything returned. Being the first find of the day I guess this was our serve of prawn crackers.
Thanks Dr Owl!
Thanks Dr Owl!
On our way home from the Puzzled Puzzlers group and SA Sewer Rats and I decided that some caches just had to be found!
Apparently SA Sewer Rats was having BFE withdrawals and desperately needed her next fix of a BFE find!
By the time she arrived at her doorstep at about 2.30am, I had 1 DNF and had made 9 finds
Got to love Friday puzzle sessions for the fun of being able to cache afterwards [^]
Thankfully I didn't have to go around and around in circles for this cache find
Coords are a bit out but the obvious spot for a small cache rather than a micro led me to the hide.... plus of course a watchful rat who chewed my ear about the hide

Not often I'm out this side of town, so there are plenty of solved puzzles to collect. This one was on the hit list for tonight. Dodging the rain showers proved interesting. I'm now quite soggy. Glad to say that the log book isn't. TFTC. 8/09/2016, 6:20 PM Find #2771
Solved this one ages ago, put the corrected into the cache page but for some reason never put them into gsak, bugger.
A nice little puzzle that was easily solved, almostjust with deduction, but neede Google to check my theory.
TNLNSL while we am sure the neighbours are looking upon.
Thanks

Friday night caching with JJ52, it was an Owl and BFE focussed night, picking up some solved puzzles and nearby trads.
I had solved this one ages ago but couldn't find the coordinates so had to resolve for tonight.
Dimsum for dinner would have been fitting with the theme, but we had dinner at the nearby Primo instead.

Ismartis and I had solved a few puzzles out this way and decided we would come out here on a cold wet Friday night to find the caches.
A nice simple puzzle and an easy find for our first of the night.
Thanks for the cache Doctor Owl.

Mr Tardis solved this one many moons ago, and had eaten a lot of dim sum since. Finally today was the day to put my name in the logbook.

Love Chinese food and the local Chinese shops are petty good and we frequent them often so I thought this puzzle should be easy. But I opened it and played around with all sorts of numbers and got nowhere.
Met CO at an event recently and got to talking about this one. CO made one statement and asked one question and the head slap just about knocked me off the chair when I realised what I had missed which was so obvious. Got home and after 5 mins research I had some Coords.
Today on the way round needed the cache for the day and passed close by to this one so called in to make the find. As others had found there was the obligatory happy dog so had to retreat for a while to allow it to calm down before finishing the search with a find of a well concealed cache.
Signed log and replaced.

Headed up the lower northeast with geoson Sebastbat for Oz/Survival Day caching!
One of the caches we redeemed at another.

Took a while to finally work out what this puzzle was about, then made a hash of the numbers. Got there in the end though. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Doctor Owl!
When I first looked at this puzzle I had no idea. After a good many months I came back to it and it all made sense.
With a coordinates in hand I made a quick stop on the way to Tea Tree Plaza for a smiley.
Thanks for the cache.

Hmmmmm Chinese food hmmmmmm
I like Chinese
And dim sum is pretty high up on the list.
The puzzle had me recalling something my grandparents brought me back from China many years ago. I wonder where it is now?
Fortunately I still remembered how it worked even if I somehow got things a little backward.
Out in the area today trying to jetski the one current remaining BFE mystery and decided to grab this one on the way past.
Heard the ubiquitous barking dog. Found the cache. Grabbed the SA Sewer Rats pathtag - thank you. Signed the log. Off to work now.

Unfortunately this one seems to have gone. A call to the owner revealed where it should have been but it may have sufferred creep. At the request of Dr Owl it has been replaced with a temporary cache until she can check on it. It is now a small. Thanks for the puzzle though, one solved long long ago but only now were we in the area for a search.

Found in the last place I looked after two visits.
Visit #1 the suspected GZ had been removed.
The coordinates were confirmed by the CO as being correct but the suspected GZ was not correct.
Visit #2 the cache was found elsewhere.
Thanks to Doctor Owl for the cache.

It didn't take very long to identify teh concet underpinning this puzzle and after a short time, some plausible coordiantes were obtained. Today we went to look for the cache and it was a quick find because it was out in the open. The cache and contents were in good condition. After signing the log, we rehid the cache within half a metre of where we found it but much better hidden tahn before. Thanks for the puzzle and cache Doctor Owl.
I had a feeling of deja-vu walking into GZ this morning
I had searched for a cache here before, and I had even found a cache with the same 'camo' before.
So why had I not found this cache before ? [:o]
Even the coordinates were in the right place, so I must have solved the puzzle before
All these befores were bugging me !!
Can Dim Sums time travel ?
Can I ?
I had entered 'The Twilight Zone' [:o)]
TFTC, it was tasty [^]

The fortune cookie said this cache needed a new container, so one has been provided. Third time lucky!
Taking my folks on a roundabout drive home after lunch in Murray Bridge and thought I would try for this one!!! Have to admit a family of frogs took Christmas pity on me as this one had me stumped. The inner cache container was full of water however the logbook was dry in its bag! Thanks Dr Owl for the hide!!
IF A MAN KILLS A LION AT A ZOO, IS HE REALLY A HUNTER? I AM A HUNTER!!
Having some good friends that are accountants, resolving the dinner bills has never been a major issue. The end result is generally one of them grabbing all the cash, tossing his AMEX on the plate and scoring a bundle of frequent flyer points. I just toss in whatever is expected. No adding required.
Solved this using some logic and common sense. It wasn't till later that I worked out what it was. Basic maths at its finest. TFTC Dr Owl.

Found this while helping the CO do some maintenance on her caches. I have solved another Doctor Owl mystery cache, will have to put this in the to be solved pile!!!! Thanks Doctor Owl. TFTC and the day.
Out for the day with Mrs Aussie M, Owl took the opportunity to do some cache maintenance. This one now had an improved, waterproof design, though the cute factor has been correspondingly decreased.
Found It!
I still have no idea how that puzzle is meant to work but eventually I got a set of coords out that looked ok and sure enough there was a cache there! However it was full of water and quite a mess. The logbook was still usable (but only just) as it was inside the inner container.

Oh. It had been raining. There was mud and slush. And then the litter at GZ. My GPSr had me about 6m from GZ so there was a lot of trash in trash out before I fanned out and found the prize. Coords good so don't sweat. Black cloud and mud can effect things................

Gotcha!
I managed to solve this one without really knowing what I was doing. It was only later in the day when I looked at the dots again that I realised just how the puzzle was structured. And then it was even later in the day when the meaning of the hint dawned on me.
Sometimes I'm a bit slow.
Thanks Doctor Owl
ZZzz..
Wow, viewed, solved and found all on one day. Rare for me to manage all three, although combinations of the three might be possible.
This one just made sense when I looked at it.
The frustrating thing was, I had driven past on the way to some other caches only this morning. Luckily they weren't too far from my route home.
Cute box. I hope it stays dry over winter.
So much fun, I'm giving a favorite.
The best dim sum we ever had was a lunch in San Francisco.

Dim... that is how I felt trying to solve the puzzle, but after another good look I was able to decipher enough numbers to know I was on the right track.
Sum.... Yes I needed sum more numbers (the sum of one and one to be precise). The app I downloaded was great for splitting the bill, but no use to get to the final coordinates. A little further digging got me there in the end which was a good thing as without the exact coordinates I think I would have had great difficulty finding the cute little cache container in the dark.

By the strangeness of bistromaths I was transported to the cache after dark on the day following my solving of the puzzle. There was one person and a quick find was made. The fortune cookie said "It's not chicken" My lucky numbers are 6 and 8.
Pretty sure you need Bistro Maths to solve this puzzle.

FTF at 5:45pm! Solved this one at work while on a break, but that's 30ish kilometres away. Decided to try for gold anyway and managed to get lucky. Unfortunately, since I solved this one more than half an hour ago, I am now cache hungry again. Nice puzzle, TFTC Doctor Owl!
