Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks doscrapbooking for the cache.
Found the decoy hiding spot ... but was disappointed to find absolutely nothing under the pile of kindling. I wasn't prepared to stick my hand anywhere else today.Beware of swooping magpies for the next little while!TFTC ... better luck next time ...
After a wander thru the cemetery spent a bit of time searching for the cache and eventually found and signed log. Thanks for the cache.
Enjoyed driving through the countryside with goinplaces2 and caching as we go. Had a successful day and signed each log found. Pleased there are so many caches to find in this area. TFTC.
Out for a country caching run with ilook4geo and enjoying the day. There was no problem in finding each of the target caches and all logs were signed. Thanks go to doscrapbooking for keeping this cache in play.
Yes, we can confirm the cache sure is still here. And lots of little birds too - many pardalotes, willy wagtails and golden whistlers in the surrounding bushes. What a treat. Thank you for taking care of this cache.

We travelled into the outback of Queensland - towards Charlesville. We did a lot of puzzling, research and planning in the run-up to our tour. This is our first major tour into the outback. We start our tour in Toowoomba and continue via the A2 to Chinchilla to the big melon. A longer stop was made at Miles Historical Village Museum. In Roma we also visited the big bottle tree.On our 3rd day, we start our tour in Mitchell and continue to Morven. We planned a few days around Charlesville, Morven, Augathella and Cooladdi for the respective trails. We had beautiful weather - and a wonderful time in the Queensland outback. We enjoyed the breathtaking landscape with its red sand, impressive animals, starry nights and golden sunsets. We would like to thank all the owners for the great cachesTeam sissifalke

QOGM 2023 Longreach Day 29. Traveling from Roma to Chinchilla via Miles. Fitzy_1965 and Albida33 are on our trip in early spring to Longreach. The journey home is well under way and today was a morning caching around Roma before heading east to get to Chinchilla and find an area of caches we have not been to recently. There were several caches along the way and even one old one that was an interesting walk in the searing sun. We had a quiet afternoon in town recharging for the last few days to get home.It is always interesting stopping at these outback cemeteries. We had no problems finding the cache and were able to have a short look around on the way back to the car. Thanks for the cache jpgordo44563.8 TNLNVisited: World Traveling Gold GC A#6 & Geocaching License A#219**Albida**
After having a dip in the artesian bath at Mitchell this morning, we headed off towards Chinchilla and collected a few smilies en route. TFTC jpgordo
It’s happening, it’s finally happening! Alyce and I are going places and grabbing caches while on our way to QOGM.
Our day started early in Caboolture South and with the car packed and a list of caches dialled in we were on our way. We made our way along the Dag’ Highway to Blackbutt and Yarraman then down the New England Highway grabbing a few caches in the vicinity than arriving at the Warrego and taking that all the way to Morven while stopping at several places in between. Unfortunately we had to leave it at that due to fading light and made our way to Augathella for the night.
What an adventure! The places you visit and the experiences you have is something else.
Thanks for bringing us here.

3rd find today on our way to QOGM 23. Found with silverfox1970 and firebatman88. TFTC.
Well my trip up to QOGM has officially started and I’m taking the very indirect route up to outback QLD to get there.
So after cruising up the Hume to Sydney then the M1 and A1 up to Byron Bay with a few other roads in between as I have been cris crossing a bit so it is time to start heading west.
I have never been up this way before so it will be interesting to see what towns I come across in my travels.
So after spending a great night in the Dulacca Pub (no I didn’t win a meat tray) my next destination is Morven so I’m still heading West.
Travelling along the Warrego Hwy and stopping in at caches as I go.
I love a wander around a country cemetery as you can get a fell for the town.
Thanks jpgordo TFTC.

We are now on our way to Longreach for the QOBM event next month. Today we headed off from Miles and onto Roma, where we will stay for the night. A great opportunity to grab some around the area.
Stopped off here and made this find after a short search. Love looking at these old cemetaries.
Thanks jpgordo for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

This extended/long weekend across Anzac Day, it was an outback adventure to Charleville and Carnarvon Gorge. Departing Thursday afternoon, I stopped in Roma before continuing west through Mitchell and Morven and completing various puzzles and power trails. I then caught up with a small group to hike Carnarvon Gorge on Sunday and Monday, and then after having a final night in Roma, returned on Monday.
Today, it was time to head home from my weekend away from Roma to home. It was an opportunity to find a few remaining geocaches along the highway, and after visiting a few Chinchilla geocaches including the memorable cactoblastis monument [Mr Cole Snr, The Shanti & Prickly Pear](https://coord.info/GC8EW84), I opted to detour through Cecil Plains after going through Dalby, and then returned east via Toowoomba. Who would have thought that regular geocache stopping would add so much time to the normal 5.5 hr drive? With deteriorating weather in the late afternoon, it was time to then make the beeline home whilst getting a sneaky rain car wash along the way.
A quick stop in Yuleba cemetery today, and I had the area to myself without any muggles. A quick find of the cache at the only feature at GZ, although it took a couple of attempts at threading the container out of its hidey-hole. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks jpgordo for the cache hide and ongoing maintenance.

Karicka had already found this one but was generous enough to cross the road and point it out to us so we could sign the log.

Quick find while camped at Judds Lagoon. Out this afternoon to check out the local sites and find some caches. TFTC
Found cache easily. Found some of the grave inscriptions interesting, ie. Mrs Sykes was 82 when hubby died at age 77 years … she must’ve been a stunning lady to have caught him. Also the sad little marble headstone “In memory of my dear son Eddie” with the letters picked off with time. TFTC

Day 2 of my outback travels and the start of my Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster trip for 2022. While Triple Turmoil and I headed out to meet up with the others, it gave us time to grab a few caches along the way. We were aiming to be at the campsite at a reasonable hour so as we could set up in the daylight and see what is around at camp. This was all in readiness for our continuation from last year’s event and a very successful team collaboration with Willis007 and Jacs Team.
Today was a drive from Miles to Charleville, grabbing caches and adventure labs along the way. It was a fun day and we found all caches fairly easily. We signed the logs and replaced caches as found. Thanks for the hides and maintaining them

Picked up world conqueror TB. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

This is a beautiful, peaceful spot! We stopped for lunch and had a bit of a look around before heading off to Carnarvon Gorge. Thanks for bringing us here.
Dropped a tb. On the road again, heading to Charleville for Qogm. Did your Yuleba Pioneer Cemetary today. 15 September 2022 11:28 am Tyfc jpgordo total caches now 5248 .
Two Tassie travellers out for ten weeks and having a short hop to Chinchilla from Roma today.
Stopping where we have assumed it will be possible whilst towing. This is the third today of a familiar CO's coverage in this part of QLD. This stop also doubled as a coffee brew up, as the Yuleba Pub doesn't open 'till 11.30am. Logged the cache as the billy boiled. All good here. Thanks for another one jp.

Today we are travellingfrom Judd's Lagoon to Gil Weir. I loved Judd's Lagoon but admit that we were very fortunate to get THE prime position on a flat right beside the Lagoon.
An early morning start and we stopped off here so that I could search for the last one in this area. I didn't have to do much searching thanks to the hint
The log now carries my name.

Day 4 of our trek to the Townsville Mega and back with fitzy_1965 and two of my geo-kids Death_killer & my_name_jeff_1.
Long haul for us today as we head further north. Travelled from Goondiwindi, through Roma and onto Emerald: arriving well after dark. We splurged again on a cabin for our two night stay. The air conditioning is something we could get used to very easily LOL. Only collected a handful or two of caches today but ticked off a few more counties along the way.
All caches were found quickly and easily unless otherwise mentioned.

27,418. Found with minniek during our Grand Townsville Trek up to CacheQLD's Townsville Mega Event over Easter.
Day 4 of our Townsville Trek, and our third full day on the road. This was a big day's travel but we did manage 15 caches across 4 new LGAs. After spending the night at Goondiwindi in the tents, we headed north up to Miles, west across to Roma, then the long haul north up to Emerald. We decided on a cabin in Emerald as we were to be there for 2 days. This was the next find of the day, and we enjoyed wandering around the area. Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then continued along to the next cache on our list.

Day 3 of a road trip to Townsville to with LuckyL10n and today we drove from Surat through Roma, Muckadilla, Wallumbilla, Taroom, Theodore, Eidsvold and Mundubbera were we finished for the day.
Lots of different caches found, all without any major issues. We dodge the floodwaters around Surat although the bridge is certainly under threat of going under in the next few days.
Thanks to all caches owners. Most logs were signed SDL / L Lion.

#13573 - 12:24:00 PM; Day three of the Townsville Mega adventure with Sol de lune and after spending the night in Surat, set out to collect the local caches before heading further afield. It would be a long day on the road as we added counties to our caching maps. The many places visited included Roma, Muckadilla, Wallumbilla, Jackson, Taroom, Theodore and Eidsvold and on to Mundubbera for the night. All caches were found in good order unless otherwise noted in the logs. All logs were signed L.L10n and Sdl or vice versa. Apologies for the largely generic logs [:o)] TFTC jpgordo
On our drive from Chinchilla to Roma today we saw this one along the way and decided to take a detour to the old cemetery. We had a look at a few of the historic graves and then went to search for the Hide. Plenty of places to hide a cache here.

The Long Man describes what is possibly a collection of three burial mounds, the middle one oblong and the ones to the sides round, quite frankly, in a suggestive arrangement that Nanny Ogg approves of.
If geography could talk, this bit of it would be boasting: the whole landscape saying "I've got a great big tonker"1. The Long Man is somewhere in the kingdom of Lancre, and leads (via a cavern where a hero and his knights lie asleep, waiting for the call) to the Lancre Caves and the baking-hot portion of Fairyland, world of the Elves.
Lancrastian folklore, as mentioned by Nanny, associates the figure with fertility. Very popular place on summer nights it was...

Today was day 8 of 9 long days of travelling and caching for us. Long, but fun. This was the Roma to Chinchilla leg of our trip. Quick find in the Middle of cemetery.
The best part of any cemetery cache is most often you need to get out and stretch your legs.
Well, this journey started about 12 months or more ago, skip 2020 and we find ourselves planning a long-overdue road trip. This means one thing ... a cache run would be involved. One or two different routes where planned caches were studied, some more than others (manly puzzle styles), and a plan was hatched.
It includes the most number of puzzles we have ever solved personally, Wherigo's, and even a few 'FTF' (FTF) FTF caches. The distance that was driven is approx. 3500 km. Over some 10 days. 14km of muddy, red, and black soil 4wd only slip-sliding heart-pumping road - which we got through without incident only to get bogged a while later on the side of a tar road doing a U-turn.
The total number of caches found is yet to be determined, could also depend upon my logging them, as those who know me also know my lack of logging or length of time to do so could mean the correct total will never be shown. Still, it’s not about the numbers.
Logs have been signed with any one of the following, JABs, FWBs, TasReach, MEMO, or TR. Often depended upon who was signing the logbook, time of the day, length of the days caching run, sleep-deprived state, condition of the logbook. Penned often in the first available spot (except in the case of new cache), in between other cache's names. Hopefully to help extend the life of a logbook. The date was not often recorded, again to save room and maybe a little time.
Distance travel is undetermined, basically, fly from Hobart to Brisbane, drive northerly to Gympie, out through Gayndah, Monto to the Westwood, and then turn west straight out to Longreach, with a part-day layover to collect all those 92 solved puzzles. Home is hopefully via Jericho, south through Mexico and into Blackall then down and cross to Roma, Toowoomba Brissie and fly home.
Meeting up with great family friends of ours to share part of this journey MEMO, the cache name TasReach or TR for short was born, been both Tasmania and Longreach. So wished each cache could have its own story, but in that case, I would never finish logging. So I thought a long story was better than a TFTC. But hey thanks for the cache anyway.
JABs.
