Looked where we thought it should be and where gps was taking us but no luck
tftc,
Today is day 22 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C1.
Back on the bitumen after 3 days of dirt. Another 3 days and we will have over a week of it again. We will enjoy this bit of highway driving. It's the places people take you to with their cache placements that inspires you to explore our great Country.
Container is now a dark golden colour, but the log is fine.
As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".
Happy caching.

Easy find. I'm pleased I could reach it. A fire was here, but the cache is okay, although the paper appeared perhaps heat affected, but it's fine. TFTC Lumpyjrb.
As we pulled into the area they commenced a burn off right near the cache, so much ash and smoke we didn't even try for the cache.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends efore flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks so much for the cache.

Heading up the West Coast to the V8's in Darwin grabbing caches along the way. TFTC.
Found with 2011*turtle. We had to look further than our gps had indicated and found eventually. TFTC.
Tftc. Scroll is wet, the o-ring on the container (which is different to the picture uploaded previously) may need replacing/maintenance including a new o-ring for the container.

The big move from Townsville to Mandurah WA. 5000km and lots of caches!:) After the geocaching event in Katherine, the next driving stint to Kununurra has begun!
Using the opportunity to collect some caches along the highway in order to get out of the car and stretch the legs.

Early morning start to Katherine found us bleary eyed as we packed up the camper and headed out, not to far up the track I comment that there is a cache ahead. Ok with nick happy to make a early morning stop we pull into the truck stop. I read the description and eager for the find Mr nick hop's out of the car and strolls over to the sign..... Well he pretty much ended up on top of it with the sounds of howling and pain. And the exclamation of Double Gs! He had unknowingly strolled threw a nice big patch of them and was now monkey bar hanging poor thing! Couldn't help but laugh as I plucked them from both feet and found him his thongs ...had us both laughing.
We then made the find and signed the log.
Thanks for the cache
And next traveller beware.

I have no idea where this one is. The co-ords took us to a sign but the sign is missing.
A very sneaky hide Lumpyjrb. While we were
endeavouring to retrieve it, a car pulled up and
the lady driver asked if we were ok. We told her
we were and thanked her for her kindness.
Signed the log and replaced exactly as found...

We knew where it had to be but getting there wasn't easy. Fortunately we found a "tool" nearby and with some patience and muscles it worked out in the end.
Very smokey trip this morning on the road but still managing to grab a few caches. TFTC

[Teal]As we head from town to town as part of our "Purposeful Meander around Oz" the Rats and the Mini Rats found this cache. Dad did most of the hard work here, the detail of our find can be found in the Rats log. Sorry for the duplicate log but it takes nothing away from the find.
Thanks for being part of our great adventure.

Had to climb on the window sill to get up as it was pushed so far in I needed a tool to get it out. I left it a little more acceptable this time. Log good.
This was another find in Northern Territory while crossing Northern Territory and Western Australia from Darwin to Perth on Gibb River Road through the Kimberlys. During this 8500km journey we've met many nice and friendly people [^], visited countless marvelous places, saw lots of interesting local wildlife (and plants), took some 2500 pictures home and logged some 300 Caches .
Cacheator Mom gave everything to find this one .
Thanks for the cache, we've enjoyed it very much [^].

Read the logs, drove up to the obvious spot, leaned out the big rig driver's window, pushed, pulled and twisted where it just HAD to be. It wasn't. Got a meat skewer out of the cutlery drawer. THAT sorted it quickly. TFTC Lumpyjrb.
There's a new log already in place, courtesy of Roosterman (I think).
Been trying to come up with a smart reply for "Whatwillaroodo", but the cupboard is bare.
Encountered some friends at GZ who lived in Katherine at the same time as we did, some 35 years ago. In those days in this area, the road was a single lane and after the wet season the spear grass was so high it was like driving through a tunnel!

A drive day from Katherine to Timber Creek for a stopover!
Hardly any muggles around and some good quick finds.
This was a stretch but I had the right equipment handy.
Thanks for the cache Lumpyjrb,

Quick find on our way west. Lucky Mr Ski has the reach for this one. There is not much left at the location, but the cache is still safely tucked away.

I thought I'd logged this find but oibviously not. It was quite an adventure with, not one but two of the local constabulary giving me the evil eye as they drove past. TFTC
we tried to log, but the paper was in a really bad shape, so we add a photo as logproof. TftC!
Found this one with Katzenfreund8 on the way from Darwin to Perth. We were not able to log on the paper (see picture from Katzenfreund8). Tftc!
Approaching this one I thought something is missing.... fortunately it wasn't the cache.
Wow its hot today! Felt the burn as I jumped out to find the cache.
Took only a moment to locate as I jumped up to have a look.

We found this cache during our trip from Broome to Darwin. As we did not have any internet connection in this beautiful but remote area, we could only log it after having returned to Switzerland. Many thanks to the owner, it was fun.
Of course it will
There had been plenty of evidence of Willaroo behaviour scattered along the highway this morning as I drove west.
At least the black kites have lots of food and their numbers seem to reflect the fact that they thrive on man's habit of leaving plenty of scraps and carrion lying around
I quickly found the cache next to the monolith, on the “once was a sign” [^]

We have not had an internet service since leaving Kununurra so these are being logged a little late.
The co-ords seemed a little out for us but there are not too many places to hide a cache here.
Thanks Lumpyjrb

Easy find on our way from Halls Creek to Darwin via the roads less travelled: The Duncan Road and Buntine Highway. TFTC Lumpyjrb.
Found it on our way to Kathrine and had a quick lunch. Thanks lumpyjrb for the cache.
Found as part of our 5 week trip from Adelaide to Lawn Hill and then onto the Territory.
Apologies for the late logs but Vodafone doesn't cover much of that part of the world.
We found 109 and had 10 dnfs, some more than once.
Allison went off to read the monument and I did the cache.
