I found this cache today on my Mega Geocaching Walk #12 - a 35,500 step walk from Glenroy Station, through Strathmore Heights, Oak Park, Pascoe Vale and on to Coburg Station. My final cache for the day and as per all the last three finds, they were all in parks that we have not geocached in before. Thanks from D B-A
Found after attending the nearby Coburg Lake breakfast and CITO. I had previously had a DNF for this one, as it was marked missing at the time by several cachers. This time, I made the realisation that it wasn't exactly what I thought I was looking for. A favourite point from me, and perhaps my favourite of yours so far Alsume. TFTC
TFTC! 3 January 2024 1:08:00pm 7049Due to the earlier rain only a couple of people in the park and found quickly. Was missing last time we came!
I needed a tree climb cache for today for a challenge cache, so I headed to this area to get one. This was a nice and quick find.My thanks for the cache, Alsume.
Found it couldint lift the log book sadly tho anyways it was a good drive bye cache I love a drive bye Anyways I did love this geocache tho not enough to give a Favorite point
Cache #448
Breaking my geocache hiatus finally!
Came early to dinner nearby so decided to come here and do something to kill time. Great camo - worth a fave point. TFTC

I found a geocache really good spot, but I can’t get the log out so I haven’t logged the logbook in the cash. I’m not sure if this needs maintenance because I can’t get the logbook out or what’s happening but really good find really good hide and you should wear pants or something to cover up your skin. Luckily I was
Came here after a visit to the Brunswick Blood Bank, which is so Brunswick it has kombucha. There was a good ride along the Sky Rail, and up here, where the facilities were being well used. It was a quick find. Thanks Alsume for the exercise.
Out today on this side of town..... rarely wander over this way. Excellent Camo, a favourite from me for this one. TFTC
Third time lucky! Saw recent CO maintenance and this time it was a quick find, so thanks. Gets a fav from me.
An excellent and well constructed concealment in a deserted park on this wet morning.
Thanks for placing the cache Alsume.

must remember to bring a fine pen rather than a blunt pencil to these smaller caches hahahaha
took me a good while, really good spot once I found it

Nice quick fine. Thanks for fixing this cache. Found pretty quickly, getting log out was harder than finding the container. Cheers.
Wasn’t able to find. Spent a while but still couldn’t find it. My assumption would be maybe someone took it. Not sure.
What a neat little hide. Had no trouble once I got down there.
Thanks Alsume for the fun here.
Thanks Alsume for the fun here.
I dropped by this cache after a regular 6-weekly meeting down the road. I am not sure why I haven't looked for this cache before, especially as the CO was an ex-work colleague of mine, but maybe it was because I saw lots of muggles near GZ on the previous occasions when I have driven past. Today it was very chilly and had been raining earlier so there weren't any muggles in the park.
I parked in Jersey St and then wandered through the park to GZ. Thanks to the spot-on co-ords I found the cache in the first spot I searched. Luckily I always carry tweezers so I had no problems getting the snug-fitting log out of the container, which I signed at 5:45 am. TNLN.
Thanks Alsume for the well-hidden cache and for keeping this cache going for all these years. Hoping to catch up with you again sometime.

Really good hide but the new log book is extremely difficult to retrieve, may need tweezers! Unfortunately couldn’t leave my name because of this but very good spot
Had a fairly good look around and could find nothing which only left one place it could be. Thanks for the well concealed cache.
Heading into town for dinner with my boys, so a bit of caching in the area beforehand.
Thankfully the little bit of drizzle kept the muggles away today.
After testing out our flexibilities, GT finally spotted the sneaky blighter. Logbook is full and needs replacing.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, Alsume

Heading out of Melbourne we needed to fill this LGA, so made a quick park & grab. Thanks

Last caching day of the year, and last chance to get out and about for a few laughs with my buddy Rebel Acts.
Certainly didn't feel like a weekday, absolutely love Christmas holidays.
Cheers for the cache and the opportunity to add a smiley to the map.

Great hide and a good little subterfuge required to avoid observation by muggles! TFTC
Nearly gave up on this one since it was such a cold morning. Glad I didn't though, it was very cleverly hidden. One of those spots where there's seemingly no where to hide a geocache... until you find it

I cant change date back far enough on
Phone sorry
So ive been BULLIED into logging my Mega caches by an unnamed SSRAT Of tasmania.
I am useless at logging caches but here it is,

Cheers to another Fun MEGA.
Sorry for generic 'blahh' logs but its a while ago.

Had to do a run to a local motorcycle wreckers where I was more after information than parts, so decided I should try to make the trip that little bit more productive and pick up a cache while I was here. This one was closest to the shop and I vaguely l remember searching (unsuccessfully ) for a cache in this park on another trip to the same wreckers., I thought this cache might have been the same one, but on arriving at GZ it became very quickly apparent that this cache was entirely different to the one I hunted for last time.
A nice, simple, but clever hide.
The cache is in good condition.

Almost gave up. No pen so I signed with a sticker. These are my favourite type of cache, good pin and clue but well-hidden enough that it takes longer than you think it should to find.

Rectifying a DNF from 2013! A quick find with a little picnic happening nearby. Thanks for the cache Alsume.

Went out for another drive into the Coburg to keep my streak going, nearly at a month now! Ended up sitting on top of the geocache on the phone for a while, while looking through the crack of course. Had my hand on it fairly fast when I hung up, and signed and returned with no lookers on. It had gotten surprisingly cold for a December night, which I hadn't anticipated! Thanks for the cache Alsume!
(Sorry to the cache owner for a very late log. At the time of finding I had a lot going on, including escaping Melbourne lockdown, getting a new job, preparing to move states, quitting a job I loved, and preparing to leave my dog, all which meant getting slack with logging)

Didn't take too long to get back into the swing of caching after such a long forced break! The hide was clever but didn't take too long to find!
Yeah! A quick find on this cloudy afternoon. Another smiley on the map. Thanks Alsume! SL TFTC
YAPIDKA, And a busy street in school hour so just as well everyone’s waiting for their kids so I could get down and get looking. Good find and good spot. TFTC
Out and about with echidna44 ticking some more off to the North. I was on my own here and geo mate had already done it. While she did a U turn i made the quick find on this excellent hide. Glad there was no one on the bench today. Thanks for the cache Alsume
Lots happening in the park...had a number of sneaky peeks around where the hide should be...GPS coords were spot on. Spied the little fella peeking out and made the find. TFTC a sneaky one at that.
Have flown down to Melbourne from Sydney for a 2 week training course at the Melbourne Tullamarine Airport Air Traffic Control Centre, but my main interest will be in collecting as many Victorian (VK3 in HAM radio terms) caches as possible during my free time away from the workplace. My primary caching target areas will be the Woodlands Historic Park (with it’s 100 plus caches), the Moonee Ponds Creek Trail, the Outer Circle Railway Trail, the Donaldson’s Creek Trail, the Ruffey Creek Trail, Eltham (Diamond Valley Railway), and the suburbs surrounding my Essendon apartment. This was the 6th of 6 finds for the day, and the 56th of 242 finds for the trip.
It was a bit wet for my after work caching activities today, so just visited a few parks around Pascoe Vale with an umbrella to at least make a few finds for the day.
Harmony Park was next for this one, and another nice quick find for my last cache of the day. Signed the log and then replaced as found. Still lightly raining, so it's time for me to head back to the nice dry apartment for the evening. TFTC Alsume.

Suddenly discovered I had not checked the geocaching map when I moved in nearby. Waited for the muggles to be home in bed. Tftc
Gee some people have long lunches needed this to finish the mystery museum found easily and replaced thanks
So pleased we came back for this at an earlier DNF. This fun cache reminded us why we're hooked on geocaching! Tftc!!

Catching up on a couple of lost or forgotten caches that l found while out for a few caches on my bike today. This one bought me to yet another park in the area and l made my way to the gz, always mindful of a single male adult hanging around playgrounds but fortunately this one was out of the way enough to make a search without any muggles about. Hint was good as well as the co-ord's which lead to a quick find, thanks Alsume for the hide and for highlighting this park.
TFTC, although it was very difficult to remove the log. Extraction tool is required.
Checked today and it was gone. Looks like some painting of the structure has taken place recently so it may have been removed by workers. Anyway, I had a feeling about this one, so I brought a replacement with me and put it in place, so it's ready to go again.
Was heading out to Bunnings on Gafney early Sunday morning and thought I'd stop and grab this one to keep my streak going.
Really easy and quick find. Not sure about the container thought it might be filled with blood !!!
Thanks for the hide

Has the possibility of being discovered by muggles I’d have thought...wondering if it is where it’s supposed to be?.. but tftc anyhow
Well that took ages to get the log out. TOTT required for quick logging. Took to vehicle to sign as a group using basketball hoop nearby. Also not hidden well so not sure if it will still be there long as if those playing basketball look they will probably find it.
CO might want to do a quick check

A nice find in the dark as we headed back to the hotel, thanks for the cache.
What a great, no in fact a MEGA weekend!
Myself and gooseandegg had booked our accommodation and flights from Hobart many many moons ago and we both have spend late nights solving puzzles in readiness for the trip, a couple of days before we fly we still had no real plan other than having fun and catching up with cachers, but we got our stuff together and were as ready as we would ever be.
Leaving work early on the Thursday to get our flight we landed in time to grab a few caches before heading to the hotel to check in.
We were pleased it wasn't too hot on the Friday since we had a big bike ride planned thanks to Toolman we had bikes and a second car so we could leave one at each end of our planned route but this locked us into a ride from Paso Vale to Avondale Heights, with side trips to grab extra caches we signed most of the logs as "Team GTS' of "GTS" and must have covered 25Kms? By the end it was showing so we missed the last few so we could get to the bowls event as we were all starving hungry .... well this was where our plans went down the tube, all the ideas of having a nice sit down meal with fellow caches were off and it was only a chance meeting with some cachers we know that made us all fill a car and head off to a place we had passed on Racecourse Road while on our bike ride.
But as it turned out it was a great evening with 5 of us Tasmanian cachers on one table (unbeknownst to us some other cachers we know were in a another room) a great feed of streaks all round.
After a few caches on the way to the hotel it was sleep then up in the morning to head over to Parkville for a main event, we spent a far bit of time doing the labs and some local caches and the 2020 event before heading out to find a few more puzzles and challengers, this was cut short when the TOOLMAN got a call that one of his lab caches had been damaged so we rushed back via Bunnings so we could help fix it up.
The evening was spent grabbing a few more caches with us getting to sleep after 1am due to solving a couple of puzzles.
Sunday we spent a bit of time at the main site catching up with fellow caches before we were joined by 999Hunter and we set off to grab a few caches we missed on Friday, it turned out Hunter had the same unfound caches as us three so it worked out very well, we got back to the Mega site just in time for the closing event and then the loooong wait for a pork sandwich, every Mega I have been to it's been the same, next Mega I'm taking a cut lunch.
After a bit of a relax and more catching up we ended up doing a local tree climb on the spur of the moment since someone had a ladder to get us started after that we said our goodbyes and headed to the airport, we got home not long before midnight.
Thanks for a great Mega.

Great little park ....not many muggles around ... all the yummy mummys were picking up the kiddies ...boy oh boy the street is narrow when you have them parked both sides!
Another late night find. Will we ever get back to the hotel? I guess late at night is a good time for two middle aged men to visit a park. Actually now that I think about it perhaps not! [?]
Anyway we found it an d moved along without incident. Thanks Alsume
A long weekend escape from the Apple Isle had stainless steel rat and I hooking up with 1tooman on Friday to ride the Mooney Ponds Creek Trail, then out along the Maribyrnong River all the way to Avondale Heights finding as many of the Parkville puzzle and challenge caches (thanks sharkifan) as we could, along with some of the traditionals, a couple of multi caches, and some ‘ring ins’ (that had been there longer) as we passed by their hiding places. We rode from just before 9am through to 6.45pm with a very short stop for a ‘dirty bird’ lunch, and then headed off to the bowls event.
It was a big day riding with lots and lot of laughs, around eighty finds, a few catch ups with other geocachers along the way, and a very sore ‘you know what’
We signed most of the logs as team GTS
