A quick find for kiwinic and myself here today on our way home to Albany from Darwin. TFTC
Found at 3:57 PM GAFF1.We were wondering if we could take our van down to the beach as we were just passing through - and we could Stopped at GZ and started to look in the obvious spot and nothing was there, then thought of going to another obvious spot, but before leaving p-pprass decided to check out a T2.5 location (even thought the cache is rated a lowly T1.5) and there it was - deep in the bowels of the nook Thanks to LumpyjrbFeedback: The T rating is way under stated for this placement, as the rock is no longer adequate or has shrunk, or has been replaced.
On our travels we found ourselves staying at the timber creek caravan park and took the opportunity to grab this cache, thanks for placing it
Day 7 of our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road now .On our Road to Kunnurra after Katherine and Edith Falls .Cool hidden place .TFTC# 17'119
Quick find find, lunch spot on our back to Katherine. Stamped log and replaced. Thanks to
OCW PelDroedGwin and geodog Peppa Our last full day in the NT. A very picturesque spot at the creek. That long grass worries me but cache wasnt too far in, needed a stretch to get CIH.TFTC
Ocw the Bebes. Found the location. Long grass but made it to GZ. I needed the rock to reach this one and only just made it. Tftc
It's great how alot of caches survive bushfires. Had no idea this picnic area existed till today. Tftc!
After spending a few days in Kununurra we hit the road again with iluvtrekking as we headed to Darwin with one overnight stop enroute. We were stunned by the amazing vistas we saw along the way - truly breathtaking. We replaced the plastic bag with a container we had on hand - at least it will stay dry. Just got back in the car and was pulling away when s long black snake came out from gz and quickly darted away again .Later told it was a snake common in the area - a whip snake. Thanks Lumpyjrb
Travelling from Perth to Darwin and beyond with richlink enjoying the spectacular scenery and interesting locations of offer. We just miss a big blac snake. Thanks Lumpyjrb
NB: deteriorated containers and logbook are replaced where possible.

TFTC SL Visited Hickey's Beach on15/6. Too much wildlife for swimming here. Cache container needs to be replaced. I shall have to beef up the bits and pieces that I carry. Perhaps a future cacher will have something. Thanks for bringing us here.
Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Timber Creek (NT) to Litchfield NP.
On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.
Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.
Thanks to 'Lumpyjrb' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'Hickys Beach' and for the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.
Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

After leaving my muggle friends at the Rock, it was time to head north and now west and get a bit of caching down on the way to my final destination.
After spending the night at the NP it was time to fuel up as I was running nearly on fumes, only 3 litres left.
A nice spot with some water for a swim.
Left a PT for the next finder.
Thanks TFTC.

After a bit of looking around and then referring to the saved maps on the iPad we found the road into this location. Mal Garmin did not have the road, and kept on wanting us to go off-road!
We decided it was a good place to have lunch so while Mrs SKI did the preparations Mr Ski went off and found the flood proof cache.
A nice hide in a nice spot.
Thank you for bringing us here!

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 13. The road again continued West to Timber Creek and then Kununarra, plenty of roadside stops in the hyper long grass along the way.
The tricky bit here was finding the way down to the picnic area. No problems with the cache.
Thanks.

Hi there Lumpyjrb - today is a driving day from Katherine to Timber Creek. The trip was pleasant for the most part but the temperature rose after lunch and even with air conditioning inside the car it was a little bit uncomfortable. This cache was hunted and found after setting up home in the caravan park behind the local hotel and walking along the Heritage Trail to Hickeys Beach - the cache and log are in good condition - SL. This is our find #5047 - thanks to Lumpyjrb for this cache.
We're continuing to travel across northern Australia from one side to the other after attending the Red Centre Experience. We spent a night camped in the Keep River National Park, before heading further east.
4th and final find this afternoon after setting up camp in Timber Creek. I parked the car and walked to GZ. It was a very quick find thanks to the hint. I stamped the log and replaced.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. Cache is in excellent condition.

We headed off this morning towards Kununarra to have a couple of night with friends there and of course the journey wouldn't be the same if we didn't stop for a few caches along the way.
We missed the way into this one last night so we thought that we would have a try again this morning before leaving. This time we had no problem at all and arrived at the nice little picnic area which fortunately wasn't in use making for a nice easy find and sign of the log book before taking the mandatory photos before leaving.
Thanks Lumpyjrb for the cache and for bringing us here.

Day 22 on my trip from Perth to the Red Centre Experience in Alice Springs with m4yb and Max the GeoUte pulling Jonathan Swift the Jaycp camper trailer.
What an adventure it has been and great to get some caches along the route.
Stopped for lunch, lovely spot, just a bit apprehensive in wariness for the old "salty"

Stopped here for lunch on the way back to our home state after the Alice Springs Red Centre Event.
Some tourists were swimming nearby, but they left unscathed.
Went for a walk and made the find. The lid is a bit cracked but hopefully the covering will keep it dry (no container to replace )
Thanks for another good cache in this great location.

All quiet at this lovely spot - another place caching has brought us too... Thanks lumpyjrb 4 placing a cache here
Ahah! A cache that has it all (pretty much). Shady trees, a cache, pleasant waterhole (sans croc we hope), a cache, ideal lunch stop spot, a cache... and it's lunchtime! Oh, did I mention there was a cache here too? Thanks for pointing us here Lumpyjrb, much better than around the servo!
Nice walk down to the river to find this cache. Beautiful spot to stop and rest a while. TFTC
Bringing me to this cache brought me to a beautiful place. A favourite tick. I dropped off the TB 'Rex the rambling cat'. TFTC Lumpyjrb.
Our current visit to Australia had been in the planning for over a year with the very significant help and advice from friends who live in Melbourne. The original plan was for a 2 month visit, but as things progressed we just couldn't help extending our trip to the full 90 days allowed on our visas - after all it's a big country and so much to see and do, especially with our favourite pastimes being birding, hiking and of course geocaching! Our journey started with our arrival at Perth airport followed by a day cycling around Rottnest Island before travelling on to Adelaide where we met up with our friends. We then continued on to spend some time on Kangaroo Island, before heading to Melbourne via Goolwa, Strathalbyn, Coorong, Mount Gambier, Cape Bridgewater, the Grampians National Park, Port Campbell, Cape Otway and Lorne, cramming in as much as possible on route. The second leg of our journey was a fabulous 9 days in Tasmania. Having then returned to Melbourne we set off on the third leg of our journey, which was to Sydney via Wilson’s Promontory, Lakes Entrance, Mallacoota, Pambula Beach, Thredbo, Canberra and Fitzroy Falls. We then spent a few days in Sydney with geocaching friends efore flying on to the Gold Coast for the fourth leg of our travels, that included visits to Lamington National Park, Noosa and an overnight trip out to Fraser Island. We then flew from Brisbane to Cairns, where we spent a couple of nights before heading out to the birding hotspots of Yungaburra and Daintree. Following on from a visit to Cape Tribulation we turned to Port Douglas. After a day out on the Great Barrier Reef we returned to Cairns for the flight to Alice Springs and the fifth leg of our travels, which was a wonderful week driving the circuit to and from Ayers Rock in our 4x4 camper. On returning to Alice Springs we then flew on to Darwin, where we picked up another 4x4 camper. We are currently making our way towards Broome via Kakadu, Cooinda, Katherine Gorge, Kununarra, Lake Argyle, Emma Gorge, the Bungle Bungle’s and Fitzroy Crossing. Our last two nights in Australia will be spent in Broome before we fly back to Perth, from where we will connect with the flight all the way back home to Zimbabwe via South Africa. We already know we can't wait to return!
This was a nice quick find at Ground Zero. Thanks so much for the cache and for having bought us to this lovely spot and beautiful creek.

After getting too sunburnt to really look for any caches along the Gibb River Road, this was a nice easy cache to get us back into it.
