The great “escape” to the coastal beach area that we went to as kids live pled like an escape from the heat wave predicted but the welcome cool change came and the joe blakes stayed under cover - phew as all this long grass and logs must be a fine reptile habitat.Lve the series and songs and the variety of fun and well camouflaged caches. TFTC and the effort!

Awesome hide. Favourite point from me . Tftc

Our main goal today was to seek out as many of this series of Bay Trail caches as we could. We enjoyed the many varied, interesting and clever caches found along the way and so many thanks to the COs for all the time, work and effort involved in having created the caches, laid them and maintained them. We also had fun making the connections between the song and the cache hides - we had a great day out! We soon located this one once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the very nicely hidden cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Another great cache. Thanks to the COs for their efforts on this trail. Spent more time getting the cache out than we did finding it lol. TFTC

Well executed, creative hide. Easily found. Had to use an implement from the surrounds to remove log from camo. Great location for camping with GeoKids. FP for this series, this one being our most favourite so far. TFTC

An awesome little find. Had to come back as there were people parked near by. Luckily I live just around the corner. As always, thank you for the fun!

I was back down the peninsula today and hoping to make a bit more progress on the Mystery at the Museum challenge. I was up to looking for jewels and a quick filtered search directed me to a cluster of caches near to Tootgarook. I started at the western end and worked my way east from there. After a few finds I carried on to this one as the next on the list. I managed to drive right up to this one disguising myself among the council vehicles that seemed to be in the area. Very nicely hidden but I made a lucky guess and made the find. My eighth find of eleven for the morning. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and a great series down here BorisN&Natasha & Nut bear. Great to knock off a few more on this challenge today.

Thanks to a very sweet Good Samaritan the container that was missing has been replaced. Can’t thank you enough

*Oh, give me land, lots of land under starry skies above, Don't fence me in.*

I remember a really hot day in 1973. We were fixing a fence on Barry Hayward's farm, out near Dowerin, in the West Australian wheat belt. My brother in law jumped out of the ute and grabbed the wire strainers from in the back... big mistake with no gloves on. It must have been a hundred degrees in the shade (no shade where we were though), burnt his hand so bad it blistered. My sister was less than sympathetic... lol

No sun here, it was dark upon arrival but the camo was soon spotted by torchlight. Smile
Alas the lonely log sheet had little or no cover, so a visit to the cache bag was needed.
All good here now. Thank you for placing excellent caches for us to find, BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
**Nice to be the 300th finder. Added to our list of favorites.** [^]

*PS: You're welcome.* Cool

Another day ticking off some more of the Bay trail caches. It's been a while since I've had an opportunity to get to the trail so I was pleased that I finally managed to find the time.
Decided to start searching near Rosebud for no other reason than the name of the place is quite cute. Headed West along the trail for about 10 kms collecting caches but after the heat (and bloody flies) became too much ubered back to Rosebud and then drove further along the peninsula to Portsea for a few random caches around there. The eventual plan is to complete the whole bay circuit. How long that will take is anyone's guess!

Thanks for placing & maintaining these caches. It's a great trail in a fantastic part of the world

18-Dec-17
Flies. Sweat. Blood. The deadly combo of summer caching by the bay.

With water in hand and clif bar in pocket, we spent two days on the Mornington Peninsula collecting those smilies. All in all, we found 30 caches. A few less than we hoped for but thoroughly enjoyable, even if we made many of the finds a lot harder than they were.

Many thanks to the cache owners. A great variety of containers and some very nice locations.

First cache for the day and one of the quick ones which was nice! Great camo, blends in nicely but still sticks out and can be found when your looking for it! Smile

Ahh yes the Bay Trail! I remember this series from my last visit which I think was over a year ago. Today I have returned on foot once again to continue some of this trail! In total I covered about 9km of the coast with 34 finds and only 3 DNF's!! Which I thought was a massive effort given the difficulty of some of the caches. To be fair I did spent just over 5 hours making my way through them! Thanks to BorisB&Natasha + Nut Bear for one of the most impressive long distance trails I have come across Smile

I spent a very pleasant morning cycling from Blairgowrie to the Information Centre at Dromana. I found most of the caches I looked for, but the odd trickier one escaped me. The philosophy of the day was to keep moving, anything that wasn’t found in a couple of minutes looking went unfound. Thanks to all of those who have put the effort into setting up and maintaining this series. Cheers and TFTC

Another one done! Seems there may be some pieces missing as the container is falling out. I've put it back as found but might need a check??

It was strange riding through the empty campsite that we stayed in for new years, quite different back then.

A quick find here but the camo is brilliant. Appreciate the effort gone into this one.

Thanks BorisB&Natasha

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. This may or may not become easier now that I have found a job but I’m still currently staying with my brother (stinky tom) and his family which includes my nephew (stinky bob).

A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work. Everyone likes finding a well maintained cache with a dry logbook.

This was one of the caches that I found today whilst riding my bike down the bay trail picking up some of the clues that I had missed and some new ones I had yet to pick up. Found these after coming back from meeting in Mornington, with the goal in mind of reaching my 500th find milestone..... which was easily achievable on this trail. I am really enjoying this series and I had saved it till the summer where i could enjoy it in the summer heat whilst adding a little difficulty with the muggle factor.Anyways thanks for the cache and the beautiful trip down the foreshore.

Found (with WeRAmused)! 20Nov16 @ 5.45pm; Find #67

Knew where we should be looking as we approached, but again, it appeared that this one was deceptively simple. We knew we were in the right location, but where was the cache? WeRAmused takes the cake on this one - I'm starting to think that she has a deviously creative mind, as she picked it straight away, whilst I argued the point with her. More fool me Smile

Very clever hiding place. Another great cache in what is turning into a brilliant series! Smile

20-Nov-16
Having a nice long stroll with Khalleur for this series of clever hides. One of the rare times I was right. It had to be there. Well thought out and blended in with the environment. A fav point added. TFTC

20-Nov-16
While the rest of the family were out sailing this afternoon I went for a short walk to pick up some caches that are in popular camping spots.
A few cars parked in view of GZ made the approach difficult but in true geocaching style I stopped to adjust my sandals at GZ. Finding a similar cache yesterday helped.
TFTC.

18-Nov-16
Today we continued to look for caches along the Bay Trail. This cache was found after a short hunt. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks BorisB&Natasha and Nut_bear for the cache.

After talking about doing the Borisb&natasha and Nut Bear bay trail with Bounty Trackers for nearly 2 years, we finally got around to doing it.

[Scrat](https://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=4376822) visited your cache whilst on his Great Aussie Adventure.

Thank-you Borisb&natasha and Nut bear for this great series.

01-Oct-16
We decided to have a lunch break on the other side of the bay today, so myself, PacGirl and Snoopy hopped on the ferry from Queenscliff with our bikes and cycled from Sorrento to Rosebud. After a welcome break at the Sound Bar we headed back and I reckoned I could pick up a couple of caches while I waited for the crew to catch up along the way.
This cache was at the start of our return journey, and I was surprised to discover I had not done this part of the trail on my previous visits to the area.
The cache was surprisingly found quite easily as a plain hide, but then I realized that for these COs and with the FPs here there had to be something missing. And indeed there was - I soon found where the cache was meant to be and replaced it as originally intended.
It's a clever cache which blends in well, and hopefully all cachers replace it the way it's meant to be to provide the intended caching experience for others.
Thanks BorisB&Natasha & Nut bear.
