I wasn't going to attempt this with the high T rating...but with a low tide & so close 2 the path, I thought I'd hav a go....managed the climb in the rain, could only make a sqiggle on log (I wanted 2 keep it dry) &. . . .getting down is always harder than climbing up...BTW; mine's Olympus & T4TC:-)
We got to the Wherigo waypoint and I noted there was another cache close the last log told me I should be looking up and the container I would be looking for seemed obvious from the name my eyes werent quick enough but the geo-hubby had his carrots and saw it I quickly scrambled up and whilst he passed me what we needed to sign the log was quickly replaced and returned as found this is a great container and hide a fav point from us. TFTC
Nice hide, great container! Love this trail barbbowman! Tough climb thats for sure. Lots of mozzies about. Cache #47 today on an afternoon ride. TFTC!
I think this might be as far as we come today, time to turn around and get some snacks. Ali went up - and we laughed at her helmet and safety gear. TFTC, found with Alioverett
I am definitely team Canon! Since release of the full frame mirrorless Canon R5 I am on board after having used for years my trusty Olympus. Now the Olympus is only used for underwater, while my Canon is for all other occasions. I loved the container of this cache and I have something similarish up as a final of one of my caches. Thanks a lot for the cache and generous DT!
After the event at the Chermside Library earlier tonight, The Green Geckos and Muggle65 graciously helped me getting around the area by giving me a lift to the wetlands and some more caches on their way home while we were listening to the German classics of Scooter and Rammstein! Sometimes a 20min drive quickly turns into a 2.5h hunt, especially when there are good D/T ratings on offer. Ultimately I was able to wander further afield once I convinced them that I would be fine on my own from the last park we ended up at. Overall, I was able to get over 20 caches that night by sacrificing some sleep as I only was back at my hotel at 2AM! Priorities, sleeping I can back at home! So thank you very, very much for the company and enormous help finding numerous of my targeted caches tonight! It was simply a perfect night for some caching adventures on the well lit paths by the full moon.
As part of a short trip I am in Brisbane for a few days. During my previous trips down here I was able to make a big dent into my very long list of solved mysteries and caches of interest, such as oldies, caches that count towards my next matrix loop or caches that I could use for one or the other challenge. Though, the list that remained following my tips was still pretty extensive. Unfortunately, I am mostly limited to the night hours for caching this time around, so I focused on just a few caches that I could get quickly. So thank you very much barbbowman for creating fuji or canon. It was fun getting it!

barbbowman I found your cache fuji or canon on 17/4/2023, 2:05 pm. This is my find 5040 and find # 9 today. Found it, climbed it, signed log sheet and returned it. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Having just done Hippopotamus it was pointed out to a hot and tired and sore me that this was “just a short way further, but it is flat” oh boy. Alright. Let’s go get it. I had an idea of what I might be looking for here and it was soon confirmed. I have one of these similar items awaiting release, must get onto that pronto. Anyhow. Found it quite quickly and while logging, dropped part of the container. Oh dear. Grabbed it- lucky it was dry and soon had it all back. Great idea for it. I am a Canon girl myself but now seem to use my iPhone for my photos. Still love the “real camera” though.
Took a while to crack at as it was stuck but gor there in the end. This is a great one! TFTC
A quick find and easy tree climb to the poor old camera . Great concept for a cache container as usual from barbbowman. Unable to sign but logging with permission from CO. Thanks for bringing me here.
Out this afternoon with Duppers, on our geo-bikes. We decided to tackle a few in Boondall wetlands area. This was a quick n easy find, given the wetlands were not wet today.

Poor Fuji has definitely seen better days, but the ‘battery’ is still in great condition. This one has been on my list for quite a while, and when Shazzar66 suggested a cycle-caching session at Boondall Wetlands, this was the first one we went to. TFTC barbbowman, easy ride, easy climb for this monkey.
Today, I joined [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and baby Warren with a bike ride in Boondall and Nudgee. We left our vehicle at Boondall Wetlands, and took the nice ride south-east towards Nudgee Road, stopping off at Anne Beasley's Lookout. We then completed the circuit by returning via the Gateway Motorway bike path, which totalled a distance of 13.3 km over a duration of 2:20 hr. We completed our day's adventure with a banh mi late lunch, and a stop at Geebung Treasure Trove.
We pulled over and left the bikes on the boardwalk, and took a walk in to take a hunt for this cache. We took a search in the more Terrain unfriendly area, and after expanding our look, we soon spotted the cache. A nice simple climb, and after signing, the aged tether broke off. So it was a case of making the climb once again, and tying a new tether to the container. Nicely themed, and otherwise, the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks barbbowman for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Out with my son today to get a few Smilies and I needed him for this one as I'm vertically challenged. He was giving my escooter a run as I am not a good rider, I have to practice more. Quickly found, log signed and cache replaced as found. TFTC
We were in the area today and decided to grab this cache as it has been on our to find list for a long while. While walking toward ground zero we were talking about the uniqueness of this cache owners hides and how we enjoy finding her caches.

We are using the warm sunny winterday for a visit in the Boondall wetlands.
Okay, not quite the truth, as I needed this cache for the June challenge. It was on my watchlist for couple of years, but whenever we were back here, it was too hot for hubby to walk to this cache.
Today, we were accompanied by my muggle brother and we strolled along here. It was his first time in the Information centre which we visited afterwards . An entertaining morning.

Out for a brisk morning cycle. I’m in need of this cache & in a snap decision went & got it. Better cycling than walking . The next finder should take a long thin zip tie or stiff string to re-tether cache as current one is fraying badly & I didn’t go prepared. Log signed
After completing "and a partridge in a pear tree" multi earlier today, Peppa and I decided to grab a few targetted caches on this side of the highway.
While riding to the next Wherigo WP, we stopped for this cache as I needed it for my D/T grid. Not too muddy in here and Peppa was able to reach this one, SL then return it back.
The cache container gave me an idea of what to do with one of our old Kodaks.
(I have used both types of cameras, at present have a Canon).

On completion of the nearby event, grannysmith1947 and myself decided to go for a nice long walk to look for this cache, one which I didn't get to on my last visit here. Due to the recent rains we had four water crossings to deal with but in the end we decided to just get wet. Arriving at GZ we saw the picturesque prize and soon had cache in hand and log signed.

While walking the track for a Wherigo, found this one. Managed the climb but was more difficult to get down. Great idea for a cache. Tftc
Found with bennyboppers and mnance101 today. A nice little climb here and beautiful day for a walk. Tftc
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Bennyboppers and Lisylou). Needed this one for my D/T grid. Nice easy 4.5 terrain TFTC!
With the rest of the Mega team arriving at the airport after lunch MrCNQ just had enough time for a determined 2 mile stroll from Nudgee Road to find this cache. Saw the plane land and got a text when most of the way back to the car. Neat container, signedand replaced. Thanks for the cache barbbowman.
Great cache. It was a bit of a race with BigRed02 to see who would grab it first.

I have been meaning to come to Boondall Wetlands for sometime now and grab a few caches that are in the area and since I had the day off today was the day to do just that. I arrived at the carpark at about 7:30am, doused myself in mozzie spray since this location is notorious to have mass swarms of them.
The day was a mix of fun, torture and I guess horror as several things didn't go to plan, but I got there in the end and managed 8 caches on todays outing.
The weather was perfect, a little warm, but there was a constant breeze which made it somewhat more comfortable.
As an avid photographer this cache has been on my radar for sometime, and since I was at Boondall Wetlands today I decided to venture down the trail to suss it out. I was a little worried about the terrain rating thinking I'd need to climb a massive tree, but when I arrived at GZ I couldn't see any massive trees around at all, so I was a little relieved. After a short search around GZ I spotted something.. "Surely that's the cache right" So up I went to check it out. Ahhaaa! Gotcha, genius!!
This one definitely deserved a FP. Loved it!
Canon all the way!!!

Thanks for the cache. Our geokids struggled to open the container. Luckily the grown up still has his tree climbing skills.
The daily caching trip, brought the bike to the North side to log some of the caches along the trails.
Once I had checked the Dt T ratings it was an easy find.
All good here!
Thank you for hiding this picture prefect cache

This was the cache that brought us out here today. Finding this one filled in the fourth-last box in our fizzy (D/T) grid, hooray! We've had this cache in our sights for a long time as physical limitations mean there's only certain ways we can fill the higher terrain boxes. Long walks are off the agenda for now. As we've set ourselves a time limit to have the grid completed, and as Mrs STW is having shoulder surgery this week, we had to get both the tree climbs completed this weekend.
We unloaded our bikes at the path entrance and had a very enjoyable cycle in to GZ. The climb proved a little easier than expected (having just come from a tree climb where our 4.3m ladder didn't even get us all the way to the cache) and my resting spot was comfortable while signing the log. The hardest part was working out how to get the thing closed properly again!
Thanks for a fun ride and cache!

Had this one on my "to do list" not sure if it was for the D/T grid or the Date grid but today i jumped on the bike for a little ride after work. Having never ridden along this area i was very surprised at the fun tracks and the amount of people using the track.
Oh My, i had a fair idea to what i was looking for and yet it still put a small on my face at the creativity of this CO, amazing the use of and purpose to recycling materials. The cache was great yet may require replacing with another "same type" soon as it will loose its validity if it is replaced with a standard cache. Again always a surprise From the CO, thank you.

Haha.
Great idea for a cache.
Unfortunately as previously mentioned the cache has degrading quite a bit. The tape is still holding everything together but there is no sign of the log sheet.
Thanks for bringing me here Barb.

I picked up this cache this morning while in the general area. It was good to stretch the legs and get on the pushy to smash out a few k's. The weather was stunning.
The cache was fairly easy to find, but unfortunately has not coped well through this recent rain event. The tape holding up the cache is giving way, and the container is no longer holding together. I think I have a spare somewhere that the CO can have - it's such a cool idea for a cache that I'd hate to see this one die!
This one fills a hole in my DT matrix - getting there ever so slowly. Thanks for the cache and the camaraderie, Barb.

We were back in this area today with our walking shoes and cycles. We had decided to have a go at a nearby Wherigo, put together by the same CO. This one was along our lovely cycle ride today.
We had actually written past it and then had a thought that we should check and see if there were any geocaches nearby. With an about face, we headed back a couple of hundred metres to GZ. Initially Mrs Domsky thought she might need to go swimming for this one, and was just about to grab her snorkel gear, when Mr Domsky pulled up a more accurate set of coordinates and into the jungle we went. Fortunately we had our army of mosquitoes protecting us throughout the expedition and after some searching, the Fuji/Canon was spied. Tied on with monkey tape, it was a little awkward to retrieve, however it is safely back as it was.
Nice to see that box brownies can be recycled as great camouflage.
A lovely hide, location and ride.
Thanks barbowman,
Domsky

Day 27 Great Cycle Challenge group ride and a few sneaky geocaches.
Unfortunately, cache teether broke while I was closing the lid. We had no zipties amongst us so we taped it back into position and replaced the full log sheet with a fresh one. Will send photo to CO so necessary repairs can be carried out. tftc

A very cute cache hide. Catching up on some sun for the afternoon, and to warm up walking the wetland trails. A FP from us. TFTC
What can you do with a wet Easter Sunday? Walking around wetland and collect some caches!
We were slightly worried about doing a tree climb with a T 4.5 rating in the rain but a flick through the logbook assured us that we should be fine.
The physical logbook is getting really full and we managed to squeeze our names at the very top.
TFTC, barbbowman

Took a while too make the find definitely a case of cache blindness as when we saw it couldn’t imagine how it hadn’t caught our eye earlier had a good climb and spent a while figuring out how to extract the log TFTC
There was once a time Mrs Woodyrothwell wouldn’t let me climb trees. To be more precise she would scowl and remind me of the dangers of falling. What about the danger of constantly having your ears blasted with complaints? My marriage license is still up to date although I seem to be paying to constantly renew it.
Once my wife spotted the cache I was cleared to retrieve it. It’s not a difficult climb but I still passed the log down to be signed. There was more danger in getting my feet wet. tftc

In Brissy with a geobuddy to find some caches and fill a few gaps in my D/T grid... We went for a walk in Boondall Sweatlands... I mean Wetlands... gee I don't recommend doing this in 30+ degrees heat! I took a little while to find this cache... I'm blaming the quantity of drinks I had last night rather than cache blindness, hehe.
Oooh look, there it is! Hmmm lucky the water isn't too high as I really didn't want to take my hiking shoes off unless I was going to get a decent swim out of it! I made my way up to the cache, then had all manner of drama trying to open it to access the log. A bit of assistance from geo-manpower and the log was soon in my hand. Thanks for the cache, barbbowman! A neat location (even in hot temperatures) and a neat container.

Two things frightened me here - the push bike element (yes I know I could have walked) and the tree climb. I am like a bumble bee on a push bike, all over the place, slow, and prone to toppling off. However I am pleased to say that I rode the whole way in one go except when I stopped to check my gps, have a drink, take a photo! Lol! Of course I rode straight past the GZ and had to backtrack! Left the bike and walked in to find where the cache was located. Not being the most athletic person I was happy to realise that this was totally doable on my own - as I had been told by a former finder. I used the nearby tree to get me up the first bit and then it was a matter of finding a comfortable spot to take care of the necessary business! Perfect placement for the logbook! Leaving another favourite point here for you.

Having had to work a half day today (feeling rather ripped off it had eaten into what could have been a full day of caching ), I had to make a stop past the COs place to collect something, and decided it was high time that I cross this cache of my list, and my D/T grid.
After pulling up in one location, I decided another location was a much nicer alternative to begin my trek from, especially as it meant picking up another cache in particular as well, so headed the geomobile back where I had originally thought I should have started from and began my wanderings. Was nice to see the wetlands beginning to green up once more after the terrible arson through here, although it still wasn't providing quite as much shade as it would have prior to the fire. Was also nice to see some of the beautiful birdlife here today - I wished I had an SLR Fuji or Canon to capture it with rather than just my iPhone!
Anyway eventually I made it to GZ, and after repositioning myself a little I spied the cache and up I headed. Some gentle manoeuvring of the compartment and I had a nearly full logbook to sign, happy to have made the venture out here today finally.
Thanks for the cache barbbowman.

Oh dear! It appears people think my superman suit in my profile is real, it is a prop people!!! Ha Just kidding, after a long hot sweaty ride I finally made it to the Fuji cache which I have been meaning to stop at for ages. I new I was in for a workout and was pleasantly surprised to find the cache achievable, even for an old bloke! The hinge is getting a bit stiff and I think some thought you had to prize the container open. It has survived though and must rate as one of the most expensive containers I have found. It must have hurt to find this use for it after it died.
Great hide and fill a hole in my D/T table. Thanks for the run Barbbowman it was awesome.

#4455. I have come over to Brisbane from New Zealand for a workshop for a few days. Of course I have to grab every opportunity to geocache and by good luck our group came out to the wetland for a short field excursion. So of course I put in my GPS just in case... And yep we did go past a few geocaches though I did not have the opportunity to check out all of them being in a group of muggles. But some I snuck back to find. This was one of them and a pleasing find it was. Really very happy to see its a D1/T4.5 as that is just one of two gaps left on my grid. And it brings up the emerald badge. I was hoping the cache would be reachable in the shoes I was wearing today. Very relieved to say it was possible to climb and sign the log in city clothing and shoes. Interesting cache container. Should be safe from muggles but who knows. Signed and replaced the cache as found. Thanks for the cache barbbowman. Favourite for the new D/T.
Found...now to get it! Elina_maree yells, "Boys! Get over here NOW!". Two boys come a-running and fight about who is going to make the climb. Younger one wins because he takes the best/quickest route to the cache. I **LOVE** the container. Thanks barbbowman.
disabling due to recent arson attack
this area will take a couple of weeks to cool down
there is also the danger of falling trees due to the fire damage

A cool container! I let Kamikaze747 grab this one too haha. He's getting a work out today lol TFTC
A quick venture off the path and a short climb soon got the cache in hand. Good recycling initiative. TFTC

My biking journey continued towards this cache. It is my first T4.5 cache, and the highest terrain cache I have found. Given I tend to struggle with T4 tree climbs, I was unsure about grabbing this. But all was good and it was a quick grab once I located the container. TFTC! Favourite point for great use of the container.
After finding some nearby caches I was sure whether to push on to this one or not.
I'm glad I did. Apart from the heat, its very quiet on the bike track today so was able to spot this one, go for a climb and get out again with no one around.
Interesting idea for a container, everything fits nicely together.

Loved this ride so much after the recent whereigo, we came back for another go. We did the 9km loop and stopped for two caches along the way. Both were great containers. This was spotted by geogirl but retrieved by geodad. TFTC
Was on borrowed time today on my way to an evening BBQ with old friends, but was determined to grab this rare DT Hide beforehand. So I upgraded *Shank's Pony* (average speed of 3 kph ) to a *Target Razor Scooter* - with its top speed of 15 kph and then zoomed along the 2km boardwalk to GZ in about 12 minutes flat. Once I was over the little bridge I dived headfirst into the wetlands and up the tree. GOT HIM! Great Hide
Favourite Point.
TFTC - and new Loop-6 DT.

Headed out this morning with KerriMG and her daughter as Kerrie was chasing a souvenir. (she may have only invited me as I'm usually the tree climber, but I'd like to think that its for my witty banter)
Arrived at GZ and spotted the nice cache from the ground and it was Kerri's daughter who was keen to grab the log.
Log signed and replaced but I couldn't come here without climbing the tree myself so up I went.
And you know what, in all the excitement of increasing my T rating I forgot to look, so I can't answer the question, Fuji or Cannon, or was it a Pentax?
Thanks for another great cache Barbbowman

Had to find a cache to get a souvenir this weekend & this one fit the bill. Headed out with my geodaughter & Nikid1 (& of course you were invited for your witty banter Nic & maybe just a little cause you are the tree climber of our duo...)
It was a lovely walk along the boardwalk, there were lots of cyclists & a few dog walkers enjoying the sunshine as well. After arriving at GZ, Nikid1 spied the cache & geodaughter did a great job of climbing to get it. Log signed & cache replaced as found.
Now off to watch the firebirds make it 2 championships in a row!!

Mrs Just a Trifle has been wanting to go out on the bikes for some time so today we decided to make the effort and head down to the Boondall Wetlands to see how things went. It has been far too long since Mrs Just a Trifle has been on a bike and she was quite wobbly at times, but she was determined to give it a red hot go
After a short detour off the path, the cache container was soon spied and Mr Just a Trifle did the honours of writing our name in the logbook.
Thank you barbbowman for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Tftc found this one on a lovely bike ride along the path on a beautiful day. I was with Quesera who is much better at climbing trees than me so she kindly offered to do the climbing for me. This is s great and unusual cache and a very nice one for my 200th.
Well seeing as I was in the area today doing other things, yeah ok I was doing a bit of caching. I figured I should have a crack at this one. I don't mind climbing a tree or two for a cache so any time I see one on the map, I'm there.
I thought I'd give the old skateboard a ride out here today. It's been awhile since I spun the wheels on the old girl so the concrete path leading to GZ seemed like the perfect place, well so I thought. The oversized expansion joints in the path were way too much for the small wheels on my board which resulted in me slowing down quicker then usual. With so much ground to cover and so little time, I persisted for a while but in the end I walked it. A shame really as I was looking forward to it.
But like all good adventures it soon came to an end when I spotted the tell tail signs of geocachers, The Geotrail. A bit of monkey business and I soon back on the board, then off, then on, then off again, all the way back to the car.
Thanx again Barb, this one reminds me of one of my own.

Oh good heavens, a frigging tree climb. I am somewhat scared of heights and not much of a climber, and to top it off Im wearing my hiking boots as the new addition to our family cant seem to keep her little paws off my shoes. Anyway, we decided to have a look at this tree as we were in the area. Mr Lee was beginning to get a bit hot at this point, so I knew I had to make it quick. I just want to have a look I promised him. At GZ, the girls were having a great time dragging him through the muddy terrain while I skeptically looked it this tree. That cant be it! I had a look around to see if I can spot this cache and clearly had my sights set way too high and had a good laugh at myself when i finally spotted it. I can do this! I tree I can climb! Hd it in hand in no time. Clever use of this container barb TFTH!
Found with Que Sera and Geodog Rusty. This was a very clever cache in a really lovely spot. Really enjoyed the walk and thanks for the lovely ca he
Bear0503 , Rusty and I decided to find message in a bottle then a few other caches nearby. We had a lovely walk to this cache and just made it back to the car before dark.rusty was in camouflage for this outing. I really liked this clever use of item and how the cache was placed in item. Thankyou once again for another wow look there it is cache.
After a big couple of days caching, I was tired and irritable this morning and couldn't decide what I wanted to do. In the end, I decided to drive to Nundah and cycle along the bike way collecting a few caches.
This cache has been in the back of my mind because of it's unusual D/T.
I parked the bike against a sign just past the end of the boardwalk and walked back. I knew a tree climb was involved here and wasn't sure how it would go in my bike shoes but it turned out to be fine.
For the record, it's a Fuji.

we had driven from the bottom end of the Gold Coast to do this cache and it took a while to get here. A warm day to do a quick walk across to this one with a very pre-conceived notion of where this one would be hidden.
Was glad to arrive as the sweat was already pouring off. Again, ignoring the GPS, I was starting to wonder how I was supposed to search where I "thought" it would be, no need, I then decided to trust the GPS for an easy find.
Another ticked off the Dif/Ter matrix, one to go down at Browns Plains and that is next for the day.

After finding a nearby cache Theta Sigma, we made our way around to this cache completing the circuit.
Arriving a GZ it was not long before our object of desire was spotted. It was not very long before the cache was in hand but how to open it. After some examination the correct technique was employed and an inner container revealed.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache returned exactly as found.
Please be careful in future how you handle your electronic devices.
All is good with this cache.
Find #381.

A nice walk over the boardwalks during the week. Not many people around. A bit windy but kept the mossies at bay. Arrived st GZ and looked around. Found it after a few minutes.
