Driving along this quiet road (it's Boxing Day!) and locating a few caches here and there.
Quick park in grab while on a mission to grab some caches to complete a challenge. TFTC
I managed to miss this cache while out here caching with Snugpup the other day so I stopped on the way past this evening while on a tiki tour/caching trip with my partner which ended up in the area.
No cars in this yard today unfortunately, but a lovely big, old tree to explore.

Had to navigate past a dead birds corpse unfortunately. How do you find these spots Aslan? TFTC!
Out for a bit of a walk, seen as I don't have much work on, so let's get paid to go geocaching instead.
A few muggles nearby, but I was out of sight of them when I grabbed this, thanks!
TFTC Aslan*, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find(s) of 10 today, making this find #3608

My son Cohen found this one. We took a little stone and plastic monkey and replaced it with some barley sugars.
We tried this one one other time but there were too many muggles at the nearby cafe...... Cafe shut today, go in for a quick grab n go....... TFTC Aslan
We have been saving these caches for blank dot days near home. We knew we would need them after our big 4x4 trips. So glad we can now drive this road without angst of 'oh there is a cache there' and have the will to NOT stop lol. Lovely tree with alot of that dreaded convolvulus. In my childhood we used to pop the white flower from it's stem if we found them.
Thanks for this cache Aslan*.

Taken out by Knotobsessed for a day of caching even with my knee problem. It’s been a great day.
A bit of a challenge with the hidden terrain but had success and another log was signed TFTC!
We were in Chch for a week or so visiting spots of interest etc while seeing sons new house . i took the opportun ity to visit a friend out at halwell and so we made a visit to a couple of caches in the area . This was quickly retrieved thanks to the hint and it was soon signed and returned. I took nothing and left nothing .
thank you for this cache

Lovely spot here even on a grotty day like today. Lots of cars parked up here for the local cafe so it must be a good one. No time for stopping for coffee yet. TFTC # 14,472
We had a special celebration today at *The Bicycle Thief*. Since this cache is opposite the overflow parking lot, we grabbed it of course. TFTC
Today I had time between work commitments and travelling home to go out and find a few caches. I liked the sound of the local establishment but didn't have time to stop. Approached GZ, circled about, found the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Day one of my Canterbury weekend. I enjoyed a mixture of urban and rural caching this afternoon. A busy spot today.TFTC
Sorry for the late logging. I found so many caches in July that it has taken me what feels like forever to log them all in order.
Spent the day in Christchurch with my boys getting some jobs done and hunted for this on the way home. Really nice road to cache on. Thanks for the cache.

My mum took us up to Christchurch as I had an appointment and we found this cache on the way home.
thanks for the hide

Had a great time finding this cache after being dragged around by my mum in Christchurch. Nice cache, thanks for the hide.
I was more interested in stopping and having something to eat than finding a cache, this was a nice quiet spot. Nice cache, thanks for the hide.
Tftc. Last one of the day and didn't take that long. Second time visited as way too many muggles earlier...
Mothers day no #12 find. Only one refusal !!

Out for a bike ride and enjoyed picking up this straightforward cache - many thanks.
I remembered doing this ages ago so gave Bo one tip and sent him on his way. Still an easy find.
#3562. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Fortunately the weather was fine and sunny on both days. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. After a morning out caching near the Selwyn River (which was a dry creek bed today), I headed over to Taitapu to meet my sister and her family for a birthday lunch at the Bicycle Thief restaurant. Three hours later and I was back on the road again. This one was close by and an easy find. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache.

On the way back from Banks Peninsula, we combined getting some caches with peeking at helicopters and the blackened hills by taking the back roads into town.
There was actually one really cool old school car across the road from the cache.
Thanks for the cache!

Another quick park and grab. Cache in good condition. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. BJ25.
I have been planning this trip for a while now as I had some airpoints due to expire and wanted to go somewhere for Wellington Anniversary Weekend. So I've made it a 4 day weekend and come down from Palmerston North for a caching road trip. I have two goals for this weekend, to get to 2500 caches before 23 January (which I've completed) as that is when I took up caching last year and to get caches on as many latitude minutes as possible that will hopefully qualify me for a challenge cache in the Manawatu. This is day four and my last day. I've had a great time and found over 200 caches but it's time to head home to reality.
Another quick find here. On to the next one. TFTC

Stopped the night in Rolleston and today we are winding our way back to Christchurch. A glorious day and ready for some quick and easy finds to boost numbers. We hoping to get to CHCH to do some Wherigos but having looked them us we decided they would eat up time too much on this trip. Gonna grab the Virtual in central CHCH though. Thanks to all who placed these caches along the way. Love the fact its easy to pull off and park. Surprised the country roads are as busy as they are. Wish we could have stay a couple of weeks and not just four days. We will return! Easy find. TFTC
Quick easy find. Just have to dodge the cyclists riding three abreast on old tai tapu rd
One of 8 located in the vicinity of Tai Tapu on our way to Akaroa today. Didn't find it immediately because there were a few possible hiding spots, but simple enough in the end. #1295. TFTC.
Daughter twisted my arm, and I decided to ditch work for the day and go caching with her instead! Unfortunately I could not disappear for the whole day, as there was a night class to be taught, but we had an amazing day and found heaps of caches before I had to head back. I climbed under so many hedges that even halfway through class, I was removing vegetation from myself. Still better than when I brought a spider into the yoga room and cause a small upheaval... One of the funniest experiences of the day? When I managed to climb out of the hedge well before the muggle walked past, but I was sitting there on the ground by the path, with an open semi-ripe plastic tomato, pretending like it was just another day Thank you to all the CO's for the placements!!

Planned to go out with mum for a whole bunch of caching for the day - try clear out a bit of the south side of town to help with the kind of sky high goal of getting my caches within 80km of home down to within 1 pocket query - required about 231 more finds as of this morning, but looks like the final find count for today was 53!! And that was over the course of about 7 hours. So made a bit of a dent in that number!! Good to clear the map and some more of the solved & unfound puzzles out!
Decided to do this area, and old tai tap rd, as there is much within a small area - so we were hoping for quick grabs!! Mostly they were - but some required quite a bit of a search around due to there being so many possible places, and hints that didn't really narrow things down!

It's been a while since I stopped here - and back then the restaurant was called Rossendale. Judging my the numbers of cars parked here, it's a popular Sunday destination.
No one about, they must be all inside scoffing, so didn't take long to track down the cache. left a TB. TFTC.

#12970. There were lots of cars here today, but not many people were around. The cache was soon rustled up from under its protective covering of leaves. TFTC.
well hidden but easy.... had to dig into the leaves ...thanks for the box and the adventure. rolofant
Quick find for this one, no muggles about as the nearby restaurant wasn't open. TFTC

Decided to head out with 2Wombles to mop up a few Selwyn caches. Thanks for all the effort in putting together the puzzles and the caches. 2Wombles had found this before but was happy for me to stop and find the cache.
A speedy bike ride along the Old Tai Tapu Rd and this was the first find of my 2016 NZ holiday.... very easy and no muggles around today.... TFTC
On way to place a couple of caches a few miles from here. Decided to take detour off main road. Tftc.
