We made an impromptu stop at this reserve on our way home from a walk at Ashley Gorge. It was a lovely stroll to the cache and the hint helped us to make a quick find. All in good order, log is nice and dry. TFTC!

We took another stop from parking-and-grabbing the Lolly Scramble to take a second stroll in Silverstream reserve to claim this cache. It was quickly found. TFTC!

Very tough! Not where I expected it to be parked in the wrong spot so had to make the mad dash across someone’s paddock and climb over a fence to get where it was!!

Look around here and that will give you a bette rides as to where it is

lovely side walk reserve, with gorgeous paradise ducklings! took a while to find, but better place, but feet wet to see it.

Quick find with the hint, although I almost missed it! TFTC!!

I was *supposed* to head home for a sleep before my night shift, but wasn't remotely tired. So... this was one of five finds on a wee tiki-tour around the area. It was a lovely morning for a drive and a few short walks.

This was a pleasant, if boggy in places, walk beside a lovely clear stream. I got to a nice quiet GZ and looked (felt around) in the obvious spot. Nope. Tried the other side. Nope. I went to the other end to try to look across/under to see where it was. It was quite wet though so that didn't work. Back to GZ for more attempts but still couldn't get low enough (without thigh waders on).

I was beginning to think that maybe the previous finder (with only this one find) was fibbing or had actually taken the cache with them. I owe them an apology!

After trying the other end again I managed to get low enough to see two things - the cache *and* a chupa-chup. Weird. So, BACK to the GZ, more attempts to bend my arm in ways it's not designed to bend. Eventually I managed to get... the chupa-chup. I've CITOd that, at least it told me where to look for the cache as I knew where they were in relation to each other.

Having finally found the cache, signed the log (and said an apology to finn_ster04), I realise I made this fairly simple hide MUCH harder than it needed to be.

25 March 2017 17:40. On our way another 20km down the road for a surprise 50th birthday. As not stopping at each sweet cache like normal had time to stop for this one. TFTC mountainpoetnz

#13476. Finally back for a second look. This short walk was probably the longest of the day (on a day of drive bys), but it still didn't take long to GZ. Once there we were able to have a much better look (everything was very wet when we looked back in August) and after a short search I spotted the well positioned Eclipse container (I think last time we were expecting something a bit bigger). TFTC,

Today I had two missions: to increase my finds count for the 17th Dec from a sub par 7 to at least double figures and to inch my way to 3,000 finds for 2016. We had been nibbling away at the Lolly Scramble series for a few years now, so decided today was the day to finally scoff the lot, then carry on to find some caches around Oxford. Many thanks to the COs for contributing to an enjoyable day with some fabulous and inventive hides.
This cache was the first on the list as we had DNFed it several months ago. Today it didn't take toooo long to find, we were helped by the much drier conditions underfoot (not much fun looking for a cache hidden in this manner when it's wet on the ground). BTW, the cache is a micro not a small size. Thanks for the pleasant walk and TFTC.

Just a quick check after a couple of "Didn't finds". Still there, and in the right place.

We got down and dirty but failed to find the cache so either it's AWOL or the curse of the 1 diff cache strikes again!

Had a god look for this one but came up empty handed.

Doing the lolly scramble so a good excuse to stretch the legs definitely a kid friendly cache not the container I was expecting so took a bit longer than it should have tftc

Today we enjoyed picking up caches from the lolly scramble trail, the fruit and vege trail, the cust trail and other various caches around the area. We found 50 caches altogether and had a great day. Caching with Injeanious and theBurnsy we signed the log books as JeJeBu to save time and space. Thanks to the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches! Sorry for the cut and paste logs.

It's been a slow couple of months for me and Jess.daphne, so we decided to team up with The Burnsy and get a whole lot of caches. We headed off to pick up more of the Lolly Scramble, Fruit and Vege, and Cust trails, signing the logs as JeJeBu. We had a great day and grabbed 50 caches. Our best day yet! Thanks to the COs for the caches.

Looking at this cache on map I was a bit puzzled on how to get it. After reading the description I found the hidden walk way. I would've never known this was here. The river was so clear and the bridge was cool. Thanks for bringing me to a gem!

Today was allocated to be the day to do a run up South Eyre Rd to sample all the different lollies. Also to sign off other trads that were in/on the way.

Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Returned to the rest of the Lolly Scramble Trail today to clean up some of the remaining caches we missed yesterday, accompanied once again by vistra and yorkshirekiwi83, on a big numbers mission while visiting Canterbury for the Christchurch Mega Event.

Found this cache in between all the lollies. Nice to stretch our legs. Thanks for the hide!

I had a few minutes up my sleeve this afternoon before the cachelets and Mrs TW get home from ballet so I made a detour this way to grab a few caches that have been put on the back burner.
I had to have a bit of a think on how to approch this one as I parked on the road. I chose correctly and had a lovely stroll to GZ. Quick find at GZ and had to figure out where I was heading after this one as I walked back to the truck.

Another short walk this afternoon along the stream, some kids were taking advantage of the humid weather and jumping off the bridge on Heywards Rd. TFTC (1581)

A pleasant wander at 7:30am on the other half of the reserve. Quite a few ducks in residence, a bit surprised to see someone at this hour I think. Cheers

Collected the other cache round here might as well keep on walking on to this one, was such a nice day to be out. Stopped and had lunch while here.

Somehow we got on the wrong track and ended up going on a driveway. I thought it was part of a walkway but signs indicated it wasn't. The other walkway was easily found. We sat on the wooden step and munched on our lunch before continuing.

I don't usually like to write cut / paste / template logs but will make the odd exception for days spent on 'power trails'. In Christchurch for work but with quite a bit of spare time on my hands today. Decided to go caching - what else? Today was a day of interlinking, interweaving, looping the looping trails of caches between Christchurch and Oxford. Lollies, Fruit and Veg, Cust Communties, Old Rail Lines. This area must be the cache trail capital on NZ!! And even a few older stand alone caches and a challenge to find too! One of the neat stand alone caches out here. A very nice short walk to the cache too. TFTC, Biggles.

After work and managed to catch up with my old friend Sonia26642 for an evenings caching and chat about caches we have seen and people that we know. a great time and plenty of laughs for both.

Its always good to be out caching with Sonia26642 as she is always looking on the "Brighter side of Life". Yes and some of the conversations make about as much sense as a "Monty Python" sketch.

As the first of the evening this presented us with a lovely walk in along a beautiful stream

Went out caching today with Cats&Dragons who was in town, and boy was I glad to be able to be getting more than just my one a day!!! Have been meaning to go out this way for quite a while and have a splurge of all the new caches, but somehow never got the chance!! Was very stoked for the chance to do it in company today!!

Managed to find the entrance, and another nice walk with a pretty stream!!
