For some reason this one was still in my GPSr when I was out and about today so we were not aware it had been archived but the Geokids and I arrived at GZ and made a nice quick find on a larger than expected cache.
The cache was in good condition with some swaps inside so I am not sure why it has been archived, but hopefully you will accept my log - TFTC

I had an hour to use while my daughters got their hair done down at Weston today so I opened my new IOS app Geosphere to see how it went in helping me to find nearby caches. I soon had these Stirling caches identified and took off to grab a few. I made this find fairly quickly and was on my way to the next. TFTC
With The Rats trying to find #10,000 before July, steeba and I were easy to convince to come on a trip to Canberra to have a big day of raiding numbers. Despite the temperature hitting 37°C we still managed to find a lot of caches. Although it sure was testing in that heat.
Down and up and back to the car.
Cheers

Headed down to Canberra for a bit of caching with steeba and Hoojar. This was one of a few caches we found on a very hot day in Canberra.
With the temperature nudging 37deg the order of the day was plenty of water, shade with a bit of caching thrown in.
Thanks

It took me a few minutes to find as I'm using my iPad and it had me up the end of the wall. TN left a penguin rubber. SL TFTC
Out today with seabreezeAK who are visiting from Victoria for the weekend. We decided to head out and brave the heat and collect a few smileys around Weston creek area, seemed to be the locals don't clean up after their animals around here. Lots of evidence watch where you step, didn't have a bag to do a CITO. TFTC
#1315 - 21:10; Had to pop out to collect something from the geoson who lives southside, so had the opportunity to grab the daily cache/s in an area so far unexploited by me. Made my way to GZ, where by torchlight the find was made, but had to retreat to the geomobile, where I'd left the pen, to complete log signing duties! TFTC TallPoppy22
I saw this cache as I walked up, then I felt a bit like the monkey with his hand thru the bars. If I had a hold of it I couldn't get it out of the hole. So with the aid of two sticks and some appropriate words I had it out and signed. Thanks TallPoppy22
We searched all the holes and finally found the right one. The cache was a bit hard to wriggle out. Anyway, great cache TallPoppy22.
7391 + 876 = 8267. A few quick finds this afternoon before the Puzzle Event at Woden.
Parked in a nearby Place and walked around to this one. Spotted it as I approached as the camo had come away. Signed, returned and hopefully covered up well to avoid those passing muggles eyes !
Thanks TallPoppy22 !

Nice hiding spot, but had to wait for a couple of passing pedestrians before I made my move.

Found it out on the bikes with the geokids. Made a swap. No pen so we'll have to make a return visit.
I was nearby and saw a skink so was inspired to find this one. Others should not like Me scale the terrain from Hindmarsh. There is an underpath.TFTC. Left a badge.
After just finishing the Mineshaft series, it was now dark, however the caching geomission with specimenX continued. Darkness does not stop the caching A total of 59 caches nabbed by me today and 37 for specimenX
It was off to civilisation to find some food as we were pretty hungry by this stage. Food located, food eaten and now it was time to cache on
We started on the Hindmarsh Drive side before deciding to take another approach. It was dark and when we approached from the other side, we were very glad we changed tactics on this one
Cache was found rather quickly suprisingly as my torch caught the corner of the container.
Located the cache, signed and returned to its hidey hole.
Thanks for a great cache TallPoppy22

Found with Rapidlywild during what was to become another epic geomission for us
The day's geomission had well and truly extended into the evening and we were having a ball gallivanting around the suburbs now on the urban phase of our adventure.
Next on the agenda was this one. After deciding it was best not to attempt this one from Hindmarsh Drive, we drove around to one of the back streets and parked nearby. After a short stroll and a short search, the easy hide was found by Rapidlywild Signed log and replaced cache with a little more camo (it needs it being the colour it is!).
Thanks, TallPoppy22

A quick grab. It was out of its hidey hole in no time. TFTC . . . no skinks today...eatmorchikin & Stigglepot, Brisbane
Geocache #640.
Found on Monday, 9th September 2013 at 10:59 AM.
Conditions: sunny.
Current streak #40 days.
Today's finds 23 of 52.
My 539th find for The Great Scouts Australia Geocaching Competition 2013. With just over a week of the competition remaining, I had some leave owing and decided to take it for a geo-adventure in the Australian Capital Territory and Canberra. What a way to celebrate Canberra's centenary, as well as the Federal election!
On day two of my trip, and after completing the NRL power trail early this morning, I continued the search for more in the mid morning and afternoon. Once at GZ, it was a quick find and I soon had the CIH and log signed. TFTC TallPoppy22.

Wondered how to extract the cache from this small hole.
Think like a skink and before long the log was signed and safely returned.

This one is a tight fit, the original must have been cool but. It's not a micro anymore. Tftc
I wanted a cache for our August run, and this was an easy one to incorporate into a trip to Weston. I'm in agreement with Golden Wattle though, that the container is a bit large for the hole and consequently it took me a while jiggling it to find the exact way it came out easily - all with my back to muggles approaching. Anyway, the two who went past didn't seem interested in me. Sadly I didn't see any skinks though! Thanks TallPoppy22.

Day#20 Geocaching August streak.
I didn't have access to the car so had to revert to an emergency cache nearby rode to GZ with geodog in tow, saw GZ straight away , took a bit to extract it from its hole, but all good signed log and was on my way.

The first in a cycle ride around the area finding caches. I cycled from the inner-south and then along the path on Hindmarsh Drive to this cache. Easier find than expected because this is not a micro. It's now a largish 'small'. (This should be updated.) It's a tight fit in its hidey hole and a slightly smaller cache would be better. I'm giving this a favourite, not just for this cache, but for the series of Stirling caches. They are all different and it is possible to cycle on paths between them. TFTC.

Found on a large day of caching. Tried to find this ages ago when it was in it's original form but apparently it was gone. So it's good to see it back up and running. Once at GZ this time, it was a quick find. Very nice hide and niche for a cache. Great little location. Not too many muggles today. TNLNSL. TFTC TallPoppy22!
Finally got back this morning to complete this great series. Because I had been here before I had a pretty good idea where to start looking and I was correct about its hiding spot. I would preferred to have a smaller hand to extract the container from its hiding spot but persistence eventually paid off and the new log was signed.
Thanks Tallpoppy22 for the enjoyable walk and series with some great ideas for cache hides.

Enjoying a weekend caching trip with J+J.au. Made a bit of a meal of this one because we approached it from the main road, but I will need to come back and finish the series as intended. SLTN..TFTC
Quick grab once we made our way past the prickly plants. Guess we took the wrong route. TFTC
459. Quick and easy find, I know see the relevance of the cache name and the hiding spot.

Easy find by the geokid. Since two geokids were with me today, we took two bugs from the cache and left a soldier and a mighty bean.
This was a fun series to do and a nice walk with the kids and sighthound through Stirling on a damp school holiday Tuesday. Thanks TallPoppy22.

A easy find with captain Tomato today, the old man who lives nearby must wonder who all these people are he kept watching us TFTC
Saturday 13 July 2013 - what started out as a foggy morning turned out to be a partly sunny pleasant winter's day. Quick and easy find. TFTC.
2185. A relatively quick find before a game of indoor cricket just across the road. TFTC.
GeoSon here again. Found this one while dad was filling up the car. Remembered a pen today so I signed the log. TFTC
Day 188; cache 188. hmm ok approached this one from the wrong direction, added an extra star I do believe for the rock climbing required. However, found the cache without any issues due to having an awesome cacher like Wasptor with us! TFTC!
2013: 188 Days In A Row - Maybe we should have read the description before approaching this one. We parked where we shouldn't have. I jumped down a rather steep high wall, when I shouldn't have (the others walked around). But we found the cache! It would have been cute to find the old lizard container. Hid it back, and then wandered back up to our car on the busy street. TFTC
Clever hiding spot for something this size. TFTC

Back today after not finding it a few weeks ago: turns out it was muggled.

This is another that must have been replaced recently, so I was happy to see it skulking in its little hole. Thanks.

This was the seventh find on a nice day spent caching. Got to GZ and saw that it may be a challenge to check all the rock wall for a cache, I was a bit worried. After a quick search, the cache was spotted quickly. A nice little hide. Glad I missed the members of the walkathon going by! TFTC TallPoppy22!
7072. [green]That was a really difficult retrieval - both for passing muggles and the snuggness of the fit. It was dark so I was having to use a torch. Of course once I found the cache I turned the torch off. Then came the muggles. How does one hide while trying to extract a cache in the dark? Torch back on and begin looking for lizards...[/green]
[blue]Thanks for the cache TallPoppy22 and the glove. [/blue]

Back to GZ after an unsuccessful search last time.
Quick find, although I had to wriggle the container to extract it.
A nearby four-legged cache guardian started woofing so I hastily re-rid and departed, with a very cute TB in tow.

This one took me ages to find. I even climbed the wall in business clothes to look high. I did find a promising spot, but could not figure out how to access it. Then I walked away and back and started afresh and there it was. I don't know how I missed it on my initial search. Doesn't matter - it's found.
Back online but without the cool lizard container! I suspect a real critter muggled the old one. All good to go now though.
Looks like the skink has gone deep into its hole to hibernate for a few days! Not sure what happened to it but will replace ASAP.
This was the last in the series and sadly I could not find it. I tried places I thought would give up the goods and even got a camera into one location and took photos but could not see anything. Other places I could not get out any possible suspects because of the size of my hands. It must have excellent camo and thinking about it now I could have another go at it but would need to take some sort of extraction tool if my hunch is correct. Too far to go at this late hour now 1 am.
Thanks TP for a very enjoyable series.

I searched high, low, and deep but alas the skink alluded me despite breaking out the trusty light on a mirror.
Lots of evidence of bush bashing around GZ and the house block opposite GZ is massive and I'm sure if the residents were watching yesterday they would have wondered what was going on!

Walked passed this one yesterday whilst on a loop of the suburb but there are certain places I just won't stick my hands without the right equipment so I decided to return later with gloves. Feeling much happier about sticking fingers into the dark I was soon rewarded.
A quick find before picking squiggle30 up from school. Cool camo. Already on the backside of the log so it won't take long before its full.

I found this cache with allrounder – she signed my name on the log as geo-munchkin.
I hope you don’t mind but, now that I have an account of my own, I’m backlogging these caches under my new name!
There were lots of holes for this one to be in. Cute container.
Thank you for the cache!

Alas, I am going to have to contradict MTBO - I don't like these containers... But I DID like the camo! (Even though it didn't look like a skink). Needed a PAF for this one - I had looked there, but it seems a REAL animal lives in there, and I wasn't game to put my hand in! Thanks for the fun TP!.
Been having problems with GPS, but it decided to work today so cache quickly in hand as it sent me to the right place. TFTC
Climbed the wall for this one....literally. Then it was back down to earth, a check in a few different spots and the Skink was soon in hand. Thanks for the paperclip.....that was handy.

A dinner and a cache combo. We ordered our dinner and while waiting for it to be made we wandered over to GZ. Miss Stormcatcher came up with the find for a surprised 2TF. Now for our yummy dinner. Thanks TallPoppy22.
