Nice spot, like others before us, we had to hope the creek. Strangely there was no water to wet us!
Cute camo.

Thanks

Managed to walk up the wrong side as I dare say many will, but no problem crossing over today, for a quick find, thanks. Gosh that house imposes itself right into the linear park here - it is far too close! Why would you destroy the very thing that you want to see?
Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Today was originally to be our moving day to Swan Reach but plans change and we are still here. So after a slack day yesterday on the geo front we decided to head back out to Angaston to tackle the caches we had run out of time to tackle a few days ago.
Magnificent weather and such a beautiful and historic town.

Found on a day out with Maddycat to the Barossa. I used to live here in my teen years. This used to be the way I used to ride to work at Yalumba for the night shift.Had a little slip on my but as we were not on the right side of the creek but frog relies did not talk tonight.had been here before.
Teamed up with Mrs Froghoppin for a day of Barossa cache hunting, on a roll so now two nocturnal cachers on the prowl and hopping to it.
Probably would have helped to come from the same side of the creek, but we managed to cross with minimal incident! There 'tis. tftc

Were visiting SA from WA for a couple of weeks now after attending the SA 2014 Mega event in Murray Bridge. We have been in this area for two days trying for a few smileys along the way and enjoying the lovely and interesting places that non geocachers never get to visit. Loving our slow walk around Angaston and remaking the historic discoveries. Loved this cache. Well done.
Thanks for the cache Discover Angaston

Found by Mary & David at 1555. We enjoyed a slow walk once we found our way to a nearby parking spot. Sorry to learn that you have lost so many interesting, and no doubt costly, containers. No problem with our find. Our thanks to Discover Angaston.
South Australian OZ Mega 2014 in Murray Bridge. A Twelve day trip to and from the mega. Plenty of caching along the way and near Murray bridge. A great time with lots of cachers all over the place to make for a very entertaining period.
I joined up with Sol de Lune for the lead up to the Mega and the mega itself. Having spent the morning in the countryside it was time to explore Angaston, and there were plenty of interesting and challenging caches. Thanks.

A tour around Angaston...thanks for showing us the highlights....
A couple of days out from the SA Mega and Albida and I were on a run around the area grabbing a few caches. No real problems with any of them and the ones we attempted were in good shape. I think we will need another week to make any sort of dent in the numbers around here though......

Out with locus, clare007, 3LG and Earthlight for a day of caching. We attacked the Barossa region knowing that everyone would be able to get their fair share of caches. One of our party left at around four in the afternoon due to pre-existing commitments while the rest of us charged on to just before midnight, at which point we shut down the GPSr and made our way home. A great day with this one easily being my busiest caching day in terms of finds.
This find was number 22 of the full 99 for the day. TFTC Discover Angaston!

We continued the search for more caches in the Angaston region.
My caching buddies walked the slow walk along the creek,
as we realised that the approach to the cache had come from the wrong side of the creek.
Luckily, the creek bed was dry and we filed over to some trees.
Quick find as Locus cache on one side & me on the other,
Thanks for the unique cache & location Discover Angaston

Out for a day's caching with RideThe GeoWalrus in my Corolla and picking up Clare007 at Nuriootpa while earthlight and 3LG followed in earthlight's car.
I managed 57 successful locus caches for the day until I had to leave to race home and go to see the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Festival Theatre while the others crammed into the one car and kept caching.
Of course we came in from the wrong side! However nature was kind to us and way across was found and then the cache was also found. Not quite as exciting as the previous cache find almost at this spot but cute anyway!

Today we are caching in the Barossa with earthlight, Locus cache, Ridethegeowalrus and Clare007, a great day had by all and quite a few caches found along the way, i managed around 94 and only a few DNFs, a short walk and discovered we need to be over that side, dont need the waders today as the v=creek is dry : ) TFTC
As part of a weekend away with Gawler Scouts we rode our bikes 41kms up here and stayed at the local scout hall. Today we decided to walk the gorgeous Angaston for some caching. Great spot for caching and our first find for today. TFTC great little hide.
As part of the long weekend the gawler scouts rode up on the saturday making it a 41km bike ride. After setting up camp at the local scout hall we had a well rested sleep. So today we decided to make the most of the glorious weather rest our bottoms and walk around Angaston. What a gorgous spot. This was our first find of the day with 5 individual caching teams consisiting of Team Jacob, KK-Inator, Heinzey57, GeocacheBT and Morelysminors and the rest of the crew from Gawler Scouts. Thank you for such an array of local caches taking us to some historic sights. The kids enjoyed reading the local information and all up our long weekend to Angaston was very memorable. Just have to build up to the ride home again on Monday. TFTC
Spent a wonderful day caching the Barossa with Mogni, managed 72 smileys and 1 DNF. For those that know us:- No daks were ripped but they tried to fall down often. Much laughter and of course - there was blood!
The tree is still there - damaged and the cache still in place. Then again it could only get away at a snail's pace. Thanks Discover Angaston.

Having come to Adelaide for a work training day, now it is time to play. Lucky for me Brisal5 is keen for a cache hunt, and getting me closer to 5000 finds.
Like normal, we were on the wrong side...
Thanks

Nice little walk and an quick find. The nearby tree has fallen over recently so I dare say the council might come and clean the area up sometime soon...

I went for a slow walk on the banks (36C does slow you down) and placed a replacement cache. Let's hope council doesn't all of a sudden decide to clean the place up.
I am disabling the cache until I can check out GZ and get replacement camo
I think this one is worth paying a visit to due to what appears to be very recent damage to the location. Several of the trees have fallen, and the damage appears to be fairly new.
Posting a NM for the owner to check on the cache. Hopefully given the previous comments that the cache is still there.

Sadly another DNF for the day. However, a couple of the trees appear to have fallen (possibly as the result of bad weather - the ground looks like the trees have fallen very recently) and it's possible that the cache has suffered as a result. Will log a NM just in case the cache needs to be attended to.
Sadly another DNF for me and Genghicat today. Looks like recent weather may have affected the cache location.
I'd poked around here very close before.
Thanks for the fun
Clear skies to Discover Angaston from TeamAstro.
Second animal in a row that is water loving. Great cache. Nice spot. Giving this one a favourite for the series. Thanks
I finally organized what I have been planning for months: getting the family together to ride around Angaston to find this beaut series of caches around the town on a great spring day.
Rolled up at the same time as crane2, from the opposite side of the creek, meeting for the second time after the Angas Park encounter.
Quickly located this slow cache with a lucky first search.
Thanks for the cache, Discover Angaston

Having taken the slow walk to the cache, I had just arrived when Malco arrived on the scene. Whilst I was still examining a recently galled tree, he already had this cute cache in hand! Cache #1,702.
A nice little walk to the cache from the car park. Thanks Discover Angaston.
We have parked our caravan at the Sedan Football Club for a couple of nights to do caching in the area.
After lunch we headed towards Angaston finding caches as we went
A nice walk along the river.

Out for the day with the Burton's and TWDG, meandering our way to the Pub Lunch. Lovely day for it too. TFTC
Only a short drive from the last cache to here, and then only a short walk from the car. Well for some!

We were seriously puzzled at seeing no smiley where we were confident we had a find. All now revealed and the new find all in hand. Another cute find. Tftc
Day 23 of 31 days of caching in August. A friend asked to be picked up from Angaston to get his car serviced so I said I would help out. Managed to not fall in the creek while crossing it in the rain. Another great cache. TFTC
A nice little walk and a very cute cache. Only dilemma was watching CP try to act natural when there was a grey mansion looming just across from the hiding spot complete with muggles at home on their balcony. I melted into the greenery but CP was looking very uncomfortable. TFTC DA.
Quick find, cool tree, neat cache and hide. Day 10 of 31 days of caching August. Tftc
Visiting Rustic Relics in the Barossa. We thought we would find the remaining unfound caches around Angaston. TFTC!
Found while out with SA4agers, a nice little walk from the road along the creek. Thanks for the cache.
Took the High Range 4WD Club out on a Geocaching Day through the Adelaide Hills to Sedan then onto the Barossa. The day started with pea soup fog but brightened up for a little while before getting torrential rain and mud in the afternoon.
Grabbed after doing some maintenance on one of mine in town. TFTC.

Came in from the south today, fortunately no water in the creek . Glad everyone was sleeping in, as this place is rather exposed this time of year [8)].
Interesting cache container. TNLNSL.
Thanks again Discover Angaston.
