**Found whilst in Wagga for a couple of nights**

Out and about with Happy Pants and The Empire after we managed to organize a couple of nights away. Cool Happy Feet didn't join us this morning as they had already found these.
It was great to be back in Wagga. First time I have visited since I served here in the late '80s. It certainly has changed Smile
Today we were up and at 'em bright and early this morning. After the prerequisite coffee, we headed out hitting some of the trails to the North. Nice, quiet and picturesque back roads this morning with most caches found quickly and in good order.
Thanks for the cache Riverina Geocaching and for highlighting the area. Appreciate your efforts. Big Grin Many apologies for the generic log.

Found by The Empire with Snap Happy, Happy Pants & Happy Feet.
We were with 'The Crew' in Wagga Wagga for a few days of caching fun! Hitting the trails to the north this morning, we were able to negotiate the busy country farm roads and grab as many caches as we could. Enjoying the quiet part of this series, we able to cruise through the dirt roads with ease. Signing caches with either a stamp, multiple stamps, hand written names or 'The Crew'. Thanks for the cache, and the series Riverina Geocaching.

Back on the sealed stuff and we managed to close in of the last few caches of this RGGT series, again good sized containers and not bisons hanging in trees meant for some nice straight forward finds, thanks again Riverina Geocaching for the hide. Found as part of the crew while exploring some new areas this morning.

24-Jan-22
Today was our chance to do the RGG Trail, after a few stops at work wear and safety shops, we managed to get out to the start by 9am. Not a bad day, however, we still managed to get 10 DNF's, some logs were full of water or damp and some containers are cracked. There were also several containers just lying out in the open approx 4mtrs from GZ "Possibly due to native intervention'.

The trail would benefit from a maintenance run, as we did not have enough logs, or correct types of containers to replace.

Thanks Riverina Geocaching for the series.

I have decided to try tackling this series in stages over the coming weeks. All of the caches have been located, signed and replaced as found, and are in good order unless otherwise stated. A few were more challenging than others mostly due to the overgrowth at this time of year. Thanks for this enjoyable cache series along some picturesque countryside!

TFTC Riverina Geocaching,

Here is a blurb about us
We are trying to get a badge ,the author ,from project GC for writing found log files of 100 words or more. Once we get this badge we will stop writing this. We are also trying to get badges for adding photos to our found logs .
We started caching in December 2019 and by January 2020 we were hooked. As we are on the road full-time, living in a caravan for almost 2 years now, caching fits in well with this lifestyle. It is taking us to places that we would normally not have gone. When we move to a new place we also look at what caches are in the area and how many days we will need to be there in order to get the caches we want.

We are in Coolamon for a few days and will increase our find numbers by doing this series. It is not our goal to speed through we will take our time , we are looking forward to the variety of hides we will encounter. Thank you for you work in placement and ongoing effort for maintenance of caches.

Trackables that are with us are
Ducinc Viking ship
Geocoin club November
Worldwide traveller
TE5 racer4 white origins
US flag micro geo coin
Mini purple.

Will definately be dropping a few of these as we have had some since prior to lockdown and a separate note will be written.

Once again thanks for the cache.

Brett and Judy.
And Dash.

Set off for a bit of a numbers run and this series fitted the bill perfectly, although we didn't expect to complete it today, with possible showers forecast for the afternoon.

As it happened these didn't eventuate and we had a clear run around the circuit with all caches found. We were just able to sign all the logs despite a couple of very damp ones. Most were in good condition, although some of the containers were damaged and one was irretrievably stuck inside a log!

Thank you Riverina Geocaching for the massive effort in placing and maintaining this most enjoyable series along peaceful roads through scenic countryside. Apologies for the generic logs which in no way reflect our enjoyment of your trail. Where we identified issues, these are mentioned separately.

TFTC,
Back in Sydney and using my time to log caches we completed on our forced return to home base.
We completed the northern half of the bMg series yesterday afternoon and want to try and get as near to 10,000 as I can while a chance exists. I suspect that I will not do much more caching before my 10 year anniversary on the 28th May.
This trail is a massive help and my thanks go to Riverina Geocaching for setting it up.
We helped by replacing lids and logs when damaged till we ran out of replacements and caches where they were missing. Nana nel has sent a full list to the contact email address.
2 of the containers providing information for the bonus escaped us and we were lucky enough to be able to contact a local for help to get the information to calculate coordinates, end of paste.

Stayed the night in The Rock, as we can't go to Millicent to cache, this series looked good to give us some numbers. Along the way did what maintenance was required (we have advised the CO which ones). Quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Riverina Geocaching

Day 304 - After a good day yesterday we decided to finish the RGGT trail today and collect the remainder of the finds needed to complete the Mystery at the Museum. It was a good day and we started in the other direction from the day before and made our way around again to where we left of it is a nice lot of roads around this area and we enjoyed the scenery today as well.

This was the next in the line we went for and it was a nice quick find.

Thanks Riverina Geocaching for placing this series for us to find.

A second one grabbed at this end of this series as we made our way home to Victoria after a day caching around Wagga area. SL at 4.20pm TNLN #6290 TFTC Riverina Geocaching - a good day with 20 finds. But who knows what we will find on the rest of our journey home?

16-Apr-19
Found while out and about around Wagga. These caches were not hard to do and that was in no small part due to very good coordinates. It was also obvious that a lot of work is put into maintaining them in good order. My thanks to Riverina Geocachers and in particular to whoever does the maintenance.

Headed out today to do complete the Riverina Geocaching's GeoTriad Tribute with @AngusnmumyAdventures . We left home at 8:20 and dropped of Geo Grandson at day-care.

Between 8:45am & 1:05pm, completed 80 Trad & 1 Mystery, in 50km. We found the three tribute caches which allowed us to be able to complete the mystery cache to finish of the trail. This was a great achievement on our behalf.

We completed maintenance on them on our trip, they are all in place at the moment, some still need a little more help which will happen in the near future, but all there.

We have found them, we put in our stamp, we replaced it where it belongs and now, we have logged it.

Sorry for the generic log LD

Thanks for this great cache power trail, Lil Donna & co

Well today after working out a day that finally suited us both, we Headed out to complete the Riverina Geocaching's GeoTriad Tribute with @LilDonnasAdventure
After being in contact with the CO's and informing them of our plans and asking if we can do some TLC for them whilst out there, we set off from home at 8:20am and dropped of Geo Son at day-care.

Between 8:45am & 1:05pm, we then completed the 80 Trads & 1 Mystery Cache, in 50km. We found the three tribute caches which allowed us to be able to complete the mystery cache to finish of the trail. This was a great achievement on our behalf, we were shocked we got there on just over 4 hours.

We have completed the needed maintenance on them for the CO's on our trip, they are all now in place, some still need a little more Love which will happen in the near future, but all there.

We both enjoyed doing this challenge and the Maintenance, we were happy with the time it took us and set us both a new daily record of caches in one day.

Generic log on all unless needed to mention a Cache guardian or Laugh....

Thanks for this great cache power Trail Riverina Geocaching.

Happy Caching =)

I have a free day… let’s go caching. I decided on finding the last section of the ‘RGGT Trail’ and the loose caches between the final of the trail and Narrandera. It feels so good to have finally finished the ‘RGGT Trail’ and off my To-Do-List. Big Grin I started this trail on the 31 October 2016 and finished it on 26 November 2018 which is a 757 day journey. This includes 5 attempts and lots of fun and laughs.
Day #1 (31/10/16): Caches #1 to #19
Day #2 (05/04/18): DNF’s from #1 to #19
Day #3 (17/04/18): Caches #20 to #32
Day #4 (25/07/18): Caches #33 to #61
Day #5 (26/11/18): Caches #62 to #81 (A.K.A. Final)
It was such a nice drive around the county side with a clear sky, a lot of wildlife running/flying around and getting lost in Matong Forest. I did eventually find my way after nearly an hour of driving and walking around the area. Before heading home, I had lunch at Subway in Narrandera. On some of the smaller logbooks I signed as 26/11 JM and TB visit on all found caches today. I would like to thank Riverina Geocaching for the great trail and to all other CO’s of the other caches I found and for the fun I had while finding them. Smile

I found caches #62 to #81 (A.K.A. Final) today. Most caches I spotted the hiding spot before even getting out of the car and there was only a couple that took a little extra time before making the find. TFTC

04-Nov-18
We traveled further north from Albury to find a power trail of caches to help boost my numbers. I'm aiming to reach the 4000 cache milestone at the Parkville Event in almost two weeks! We discovered this trail last night when we were planning today and thought a trail of 80 caches should be achievable for us in a day and combined with some others I might even make it to 100 caches for the day.
There are not many trees here but the CO managed to find a good location to hide the cache. Its obvious that cattle have been along this roadside recently, I presume to find feed for them in the drought.

Sorry for the generic logs, some a little different but full log at #80. ACTchil and I took a little drive to Wagga setting off early on a mission to grab the caches in this and other series to help reach my next milestone of 3,000 that I want to be the UK 10th Anniversary Event next weekend, this was the perfect series to start with and was our 78th find for the day. We took it in turns driving as close as we could to gz and lucky they were all easy finds, signing log and replacing in it's hiding spot. tftc Riverina Geocaching

22-Jul-18
After completing another caching trail in the area we thought we would finish off this trail which we had started on a previous visit to WaggaWagga. There was no problem finding nearly all of the caches and each one had our visit recorded with us using our initials GP2. Thank you very much to Riverina Geocaching for placing this big run of caches as we always enjoy driving through rural areas, especially in the lambing season.

Had a spare day so geo wife and I were wondering what to do. We picked caching, but where? Spied this lot near Wagga so made plans to go and grab them. Dropped the geo kids at school as early as we could then headed Wagga way. After a nice drive to Wagga we soon arrived at the first one and began our caching adventure. 80 caches, and 3 hours later we had finished them and had the info needed to get the final one. Great series and was reasonably quiet along the country roads.

27-May-18
Our goal today was to conquer this power trail and have fun along the way... We had a plan of attack worked out - hubby chief navigator & driver; me co-navigator, signer & logger; kids take turns in finding the cache & making swag trades. Worked a treat. A neat 4 hours from start to finish with a lunch stop along the way under a most magnificent specimen! Loved every bit of this power trail. Thanks for placing & maintaining.

25-Apr-18
TFTC. We had been planning to do this series in our time in Wagga Wagga. With getting repairs and medical maintenance this was the first opportunity to do this run. A nice morning not to hot. We left camp and headed to the trail. From start to finish we reckon that it took just over three hours. Lovely quiet backroads and no muggles to disturb us. All the hides were relatively straightforward and everything was in good order. A good series to boost our numbers.

14-Apr-18
Found with AngelG27, Kittykatch and Darksidedan on a caching trip to Wagga. Decided to do this series for numbers but found it to be a great series that we all enjoyed. Loved the drive in the country and did it in double quick time. Thanks for bringing us here.

14-Apr-18
Today is the 14th of April 2018 and I managed to find 151 caches for the day. It was amazing, we did the RGGT and the Friends Series plus about 40 other random caches. We spent a total of almost 10 hours caching and only had two DNF’s. I have included one of the Geocaching poems that I have written. I hope that anyone reading it likes it. Thanks for all the caches and sorry for the generic log for this cache but with 151 caches in one day it would be too hard to write a different one for each cache.

Geocache Poem
By DARKSIDEDAN

My endless search goes on and on
Looking for treasures of every kind
Always chasing just one more find
Putting past DNF’s out of my mind

I step out into the world outside,
Seeking what is hidden from me
What size, shape or form will it be?
Only time will tell, I can’t wait to see

Will I find my prize at the end?
I will search in the failing light and cold
Filling with despair having looked everywhere
Where is this thing that gives my life pleasure?

Looking all around from every angle
I read the logs and check the hint
I curse out loud as I walk in circles
Screaming the bloody thing it not there

As time flies by and I fail to see,
Never once stopping to realize
It always been there before my eyes
No need for sorrow, there’s the Geocache.

***** I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of 31st January 2018 my average was 70 words per log, which seems close to the 100 target. However given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After almost 3000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 70 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before this year ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

Found on the 17/02/2018

I had the strangest urge last night to go for a long caching road trip this weekend. As soon as I woke up this morning I packed the necessities and prepared a coffee before heading to Wagga Wagga.
I've only cached there once before, but with others who had already poached most of the area. This time I got to choose!
However the long drive lead me by others which I had to sparingly choose only a few as it delayed my arrival to my destination.
A long day that I capped my find total at 100 finds. Tommorow I hope to get just as many on the way home.

Thanks for the caches.

In the company of DAB and Na'wal we set off on a mission to complete this series while up in NSW for a brief holiday.
Signing as TheDNT's we worked our way through each and every cache making sure we kept an eye out for the final clues.
The scenery was amazing as we drove along the tracks, nothing beats enjoying the fresh air of the countryside.
Thanks Riverina Geocaching for the great series for us and others to enjoy.

DAB, the Tritonz and myself were a long way from home for a caching trip. We were up at the crack of dawn for a big day of caching (signing our logs as The DNT) after camping the night before. After lunch and our first series completed, we moved down south a little to do this series. A much quieter road of caches for us to find. No issues finding these caches today & the clues for the final were obtained where placed. Now at the end of the trail after a very hot, fun and long day. Signed and replaced as found.

**Thanks to Riverina for placing this trad cache & series for us to find**

After a nights rest, the team of DAB, Na'wal and The_Tritonz (DNT) headed out once again to collect some smiley faces. Another great mix of caches were in store for us. Utilising all of our skills we had a very successful day. Once again thanks to the CO's, much appreciated. TFTC Riverina Geocaching Big Grin

11-Nov-17
Another wonderful day in the Great Outdoors, except this time I was up early and drove a couple of hundred kilometres to an area that I have hardly touched in my geocaching life.
There were two main Power Trails that I hoped to conquer this weekend and this cache was on one of them.
I was thrilled to experience as much success as I did. There was a wide variety of caches during the day, one causing me to chicken out, and a big challenge in terrain with some that caused me to DNF one. That brought my total of DNFs for the day to 2 as I think one may have gone missing earlier in the day.
I loved the birdlife, but I don't think the choughs were too chuffed with my presence on occasions.
Some of the early caches in the RGGT series are in need of repairs as the plastic has cracked.
Many thanks to all the cachers involved in laying this trail for our enjoyment. A great way to get people to visit your lovely city. Also to the Drovers for your incredible trail. I love the variety of hides and containers. Apologies for mass logging, but I think I achieved 93 finds today. (have booked into a motel in order to try for some more finds tomorrow!)
II will note on individual caches if I took something or left something.

Headed to Wagga Wagga today to drop of geo-son no. 1 for the week, whilst here I couldn't pass up the opportunity to grab a cache or 100! The RGGT trail was my main focus. With geo-son's 3 & 4 in tow (DK & MNJ), we had fun collecting caches for the day. There weren't too many cars along the way but we did get asked for directions from a cyclist. I hope he ended up in the right direction. Saw kangaroos, lizards, spiders and ants all guarding caches. Some caches on the trail were found out in the open so we returned them to a spot as close to GZ as possible. TFTC Riverina Geocaching, we had an enjoyable day.

26-Aug-17
Number ten of thirteen of this great series found on a Saturday afternoon and during a break on the drive from Hay to home. I'll aim to come back with the geo-crew to do the back lane and more closely spaced hides on the bikes. All caches found were in good condition.

Pulled up and raced over to GZ to beat a car coming in the distance. It was only after I signed the log and turned around to head back to the car that I realised there was a house just across the road. Don't you just hate that. I don't think anyone was watching me though. Many thanks Riverina Geocaching

When you geocache long enough you start to search for series such as this no matter how far from home base, and this series was just that. So after a early start from the ACT we arrived at the first cache around 10am and the fun started. This series was a simple drive by and I practically left the engine running the 3 1/2 hrs it took to complete. The co-ords were spot on, most caches easy to find, plenty of views, dirt plus sealed roads and the odd shower or two. Tftc. We even ended up saving a sheep whose head was stuck in a gate, boy he was lucky we happened to drive past:-)

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern today enjoying the delights of this terrific Riverina trail.
A cold start with below zero at dawn, for most of the trail the car temp said 1 degree.
The sky was cloudy but we were ready for a great morning enjoying this trail, the countryside and the farmlands.
What a beaut way to spend the morning.
Thanks for the upkeep of this trail.
Thanks to the Riverina Geocaching folks.

The Riverina Geocaching's GeoTriad Tribute series, ticked all the trail boxes for us today. The caches were easily accessible, the roads are quiet and safe, with a couple of “specials” along the way and after almost 4 years since the trail was published, there is clear evidence of a sound maintenance regime.

Having visited two points of the original Triad, we were keen to complete this tribute series.

Today, together with our caching buddies, the Suscoe duo, we set out with the temperature at about zero degrees and by the time we finished, the temperature was still in single figures!! We had a great day – many thanks to everyone who contributed to the trail.

Thanks Riverina Geocaching for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

In town for a long days caching, finding as many as possible. Doing this trail was the highest priority. More sheep and their farmer.
Thanks Riverina Geocaching for placing the cache for us to find.
