AWESOME CACHE!!!!! As noted, it does need a little attention. But what a fantastic cache. We all had a great time fishing for avocados. Was a family event, Nan (mum) Wendy, Lucinda, Harrison, Helen, Charlotte, Cameron and myself. Heaps of fun was had by all. Looking forward to catching up with you soon.
Hi all, thanks for the heads up regarding maintenance.
Will have repaired and up and running just as soon as I can.
Sorry it won't be up and running for you this weekend Mig.

I went fishing today and arrived at a familiar, but fantastic spot to poke around again
After many minutes, I only found half an avocado
This one's been muggled !!
Sorry to be the bringer of bad news !!
But thanks for an excuse to see this place again !! [^]

In the area with MuggleWife on the way home from New Years Eve in Wodonga and picking up some caches along the way.
Muggles everywhere this afternoon, had a good look around but not today, will have to wait for another day.
Thanks for the cache Sarahbot

We had visitors for the Xmas break and made plans to do a round trip taking in some shopping in Beechworth , the dredge in Eldorado, pies and wine in Rutherglen and horse riding in Chiltern. After a wet start the sun had finally come by the time we had reached Eldorado.
We did the walk around the dredge before starting the hunt that proved fruitless for a while until some bright spark decided to read the description on the cache page and the cryptic clue was seen.
After that it was a quick find and with the log being signed it was off for lunch and refreshment at Rutherglen.
We love the history here and thanks for bringing us back here.
(sorry for the late log)

#5163 A group from the Heroes and Villains event had headed out here earlier in the morning, however after a few lemonades the prior evening we weren't quite up to that. It was after 4pm and a much more respectable time of the day whilst heading back home. This cache, through its uniqueness, had been a topic of discussion during the morning so we knew what cache container we'd be looking for. This was not a cache for the GPS but it got us close enough to spot something that seemed to be themed for the cache......and voila.....an avocado . Our thanks to Sarahbot for the cache and fun. Cheers [^]

We have dredged up the past here previously so today it was a quick spot of fishing before the "Heroes and Villains Event Gang" moved out of the caravan park and off into 'The Unknown'.
TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt Sarahbot.

Found at 8:00 PM GAFF5 in the company of Team Crackers and 6Hinemoa2. While waiting for the designated time for the start of our second day of the "Heroes or Villains" event, the 3 of us headed off to this cache which had caused some deep and meaningful searching in the past by Crackers. With 3 of us searching, we thought we should be able to knock this one over quite quickly - how hard could it be [:o)]
Well after some time searching where the GPS said was GZ, we couldn't find anything fishy nor cachy either [B)]. So DiMorgan were called in for some assistance and immediately - and not too far from where the GPS said GZ was, a very nice hide was revealed.
We then spent some time checking "Dredge" and learning about the noise it made.
Thanks Sarahbot.

This is our third visit to this location for different caches but have never seen anyone fishing for avocados. Yesterday I was muggled off twice, this seems to be a very popular spot now, as it should be. I came back with pprass and 6Hinema2 early this morning and after what we thought was a good search came up empty handed. We used the PAF option and did not believe we had missed it the first time round. We added our names to the log and read a few of the newer information boards before heading off for the day.
Thanks Team Xtreme for a great first cache in a very interesting location.

Pprass, half a cracker and I were ready earlier than those with caravans still to be packed up we took off to search for Avocados. Our group were on a hunt for Ned Kelly and were staying at the nearby caravan park.
Some time was spent wandering around. I didn't have this downloaded on my GPS so I was reliant on the other capable and more experienced members in my company. A PAF was needed as we were on a tight schedule. Being quite close to GZ, Crackers and I did the honours. This was a sneaky hide that will stay with me. On reading the cache page I smiled at your cryptic description. Keep your enjoyable hides coming.

Love coming back to this place and the walk around the dredge today had us very pleased with all the bird life. Didn't quite know what we were looking for with this hide but after a careful search the sneaky hide was found. Thanks for a reason to return.
Spent some time fishing and the GPS was no use. Finally Mr harrowang cottoned on to the sneaky place and landed a nice sized avocado, too bad we had to put it back. SL at 4.30pm. #1828

A very clever hide, we searched in lots of different places before settling on the final location, & then it was a matter of fishing.
Lots of interesting machinery to look at & lots of information to read.
This is worth a favourite point.
Thanks Sarabot

Had a look in the place the hints suggested to no avail. Didn't have the time to really seriously search unfortunately, and sadly we're headed back to adelaide tomorrow so this will have to wait for next time (whenever that will be!)
Found on a rainy miserable afternoon with DazRascal and the Geokids!
We've visited this location quite a few times in the past, but never been fishing for Avocados! We can mark that off the bucket list now, as we found the cache.
The Geokids had a good explore of the area before moving onto the next.
Mant thanks Sarahbot for bringing us back to this fantastic historical spot. Cheers

What better way to spend a miserable day than to go caching
Teamed up with the Haveanez crew for a day around the surrounding are to pick up some of the "close to home" caches.
It's been a while since I've been to this location, but I don't recall the dredge being this far down in the water, maybe it's sunk a bit more, or the water was down. More than likely my memory isn't that great
Great to be here having another look around anyway. To some time I'm locating this one , almost thought we were going to have to log a DNF but managed to find it in the end.
TNLN, TFTC, Cheers.

found in the early days of this cache , can't believe i'd forgotten to log it a great effort put into a 1st time cache, worthy of its' favourites. cheers to sarahbot & chenzo, see you soon.
How exciting is this!!! We have been watching hourly to see what happens and squealing (well that was just me) with delight at 'being discovered'. Well done mvyrmnd and thanks for the feedback. We will be intouch re your thoughts and suggestions. Nothing like learning from a veteran, it's appreciated.
Robmc and BettyBoo3747, appreciate your comments also. Hope you all enjoyed the search and whilst the bottom of the cache falling off is hardly ideal I have to say we did get a giggle out of it as we could almost picture the haste and horror.
Apologies for the delay in any response or acknowledgement of your finds. Quite simply I couldn't work out how to just add a comment. I didn't want it to look like another 'find'. Anyhoo we got there eventually.

Bit of a challenge day today interspersed with shopping and chores with BettyBoo3747.
We have been to this spot before for geocaching, so we knew where to go. A worker was there when we arrived, but soon left.
Our GPSr had us on the ramp on to the dredge, but the clue suggested otherwise.
A good find by BB. Unfortunately the avo opened up on replacing, so a bit more fishing was done to get the lower half and the logbook.
A great first hide.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3691. The first of two for me for the day. A nice early start but still there was a solitary muggle when we arrived. Thought he may have just been to the cache but apparently not. The middle of the walkway said GZ but it didn't seem quite right. We were certainly looking for tell-tale signs of glitter as mentioned by mvyrmnd but he must have done a good job of cleaning up. I finally spotted what we were searching for and was pleased to see that we were 2nd to find after a week.
Rob thought he heard a car coming and in his haste to return it to its spot was dismayed to see the avocado fall apart. The car departed and so we could then calmly think about retrieving part of the cache and the log book. This could be an on-going problem for other finders too I think. Anyhow it was a sneaky hide and we were glad to find it. TFTC

FTF!! Woo Hoo!
Another quiet Friday night at home faced with watching some tripe American TV show the Geowife has downloaded, and like the blessed song of a thousand angels my email beeps and there's a shiny new cache to be had!
I jumped in the car and headed out to make the find, wondering if any of the usual suspects might be on the hunt. It would appear not, as I made it to GZ and left again, undisturbed.
The cache was a tricky little hide, with lots of looking about hunting for the little telltale clue to its location - the hide living up to its name, of course
I opened faberge avocado, which promptly glitter-bombed my pants - meaning I had to try and clean up the glitter so as not to give away the hide for future finders!
Either way, a good first hide, an excellent location, and a good excuse to spend an hour out of the house away from awful TV.
TFTC!
P.S. The current tethering mechanism may not stand up to repeated abuse. Future finders should be careful, the CO may wish to investigate other options (email me if you wish - I have an idea that could work)
