The cache appears to be in need of owner intervention. I'm temporarily disabling it, to give the owner an opportunity to check on the cache, and take whatever action is necessary. Please respond to this situation in a timely manner (i.e., within 30 days) to prevent the cache from being archived for non-responsiveness.
This one has needed some major maintenance with a cracked container and deteriorating logbook scraps since 2020(!) with 5 NMs regarding the issue placed in that time to no avail.
Decided to head around to the fancier side of the lake for a quick evening find to check out this NM hide.A lovely walk by sunset took me to gz where it wasn't long until I spotted the cache fairly conspicuously uncovered. The previously reported issues still hold up here, and several holes are evident in the container.I signed my name on one of the scrap bits of paper still remaining within it.Thanks to Puk_Ed for the hide!
Found with Vizir13, and some muggle friends. We'd met up on this cold morning to go for a walk from Lotus Bay to Yarralumla shops and back, stopping for coffee/tea/snack at the shops. On our return, V and I decided to try for this one, and show some of the muggles what geocaching was about. Once at GZ we quickly spotted the hide. The container is broken and needs a new log book, but we signed the scrap that was in place, and returned all and continued on our way. TFTC.
The beautiful weather is making the lake look so beautiful and sparkly today! Im in the area to pick a car up after lending it to someone and thought Id take advantage of the sunny weather today by coming down here for a walk and a cache. Before I left home I noticed my neighbour driving past my window, towing his golf cart behind him: the mark of a truly beautiful Sunday morning As mentioned in a previous log, the container and log could definitely use some love. Thanks for bringing me here, all the same! Thanks for the cache
Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter. The trip bit.Easter geocaching festival of twenty twenty four. This time it is the turn of Oz Mega GeoBash MEGA event in the nation's capital. It is time for a road trip across country to Canberra in the Sporty Pajero Sports. Freddo and Gridge98 traveling from Adelaide via a strange inland route that takes in scenic rural locations, dusty roads, punctured tyres, overheating batteries, various tools of the trade, special campgrounds, and lots scope for many many geocaching finds. Along the way we saw running emus, jumping kangaroos, wandering deer, dead foxes, herds of wooly sheep and stray steers.Arriving in Canberra we met our colleagues e.gregory1, featherwaite, team walron, courtney rose, davidwazza, e_smilie, and georode, signing as ABP, plus a huge group of other like minded excited mega geocachers attending event after event, and more events.Day one. Somebody moved the goal posts. So many caches to find. So many caches to log. We find them, sign them and replace them. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Found while attending the Mega event in Canberra over Easter.Today I teamed up with FeatherWaite, Team Waldron, gridge98, CourtneyRose, Freddo, E_Smiley, georode and Davidwazza. Logs were signed ABP to save time and space on the logsheets. It was a productive day, focusing mainly on caches of interest, with a variety of cache types. The weather was fine and quite warm, in contrast to some of the other times Ive been in Canberra over Easter. Thanks Puk_Ed for the cache.
This took more time and more scratches than it should have, so very good news when gmj3191 found it. The lake looks beautiful today.
Out riding with MavEtJu around the lake today while in town for the Capital GeoBash. Great naming of this cache. Container is damaged and the log needs replacing.
Find # 8,721 for me on 29 Mar 2024 at 5:31pm. This cache was found on our Canberra Mega adventure. Found with PamJ after messing with prickles and spiders in the wrong place. Thanks Puk_Ed, for giving back to the game. *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Needs a new container and a new log, pretty much total replacement as many people logging this cache have stated.
Yes, similar to Ron the earlier finders this one could need a little TLC. Thanks for the fun!
Hole in the cache causing deterioration here, it needs some TLC. OCW cherryfromtheblock on scooters for a glorious afternoon of caching around lake burley griffin TFTC
Found at dusk with Baristayan in amongst the ivy and blackberries. Cache and location have seen better days I’d suggest! But still an incredible spot down here along the lake, quite possibly its best stretch.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Im out for a drive around Canberra to pick up a few caches today.
After parking at a lovely spot by the water i headed to the GZ to begin looking.
I didn’t immediately find the cache and the Blackberry thorns gave me some pause but i did eventually find the container. Unfortunately the lid has been broken open and the log was mouldy and in beed of replacing.
I did however spot a sleeping possum in a tree across the path.
Photo as proof of find.
Thanks.

I turned the container a bit to its side to avoid too much water getting in. Definitely needs some TLC. TFTC
#972 Another stop off on our way through today. After parking nearby Turtle and I wandered over here to have a quick look for this for an almost decade old cache. A fairly new log book was a nice treat but the container is a bit worse for wear. Returned it to its hiding place sitting so it shouldn’t take on too much water but nothing can be promised. Thanks Puk_Ed for the for this hide
#2841 Great to pick up a fairly old cache but with the amount of vines the hint was a blessing. The cache did contain a fairly recent logbook however the container is damaged and in need of some repairs or replacement. TFTC.
Container is damaged and no longer waterproof. A replacement may be necessary soon.
Had a couple of mates hanging out and we found together ... I think they're hooked!
Did not find but have a baby strapped to me so will come back when I'm able to properly search
Found fairly quickly. Put in a new log book. Lid is broken and all mouldy inside. Needs maintenance desperately. TFTC
Significant hole in lid and log is mouldy and fragile from water damage. But cache is somehow surviving!
TFTC!

Out having some fish and chips for our daily outing. Log and cache seen better days. Nice spot but could do with some maintenance. Thanks for the cache.
Hi there,
Seems like the bushes and trees around this one has been damaged by wind. We couldn't find the container

Found this one while cycling around the lake today, this was one of several wet logs we were unable to sign today. Great views over the lake though from the gz. Thanks Puk Ed for the hide and for highlightying this area.
Took my offspring to work so I can have a car on my day off. On the way home I noticed nice views across the lake, so stopped to take a photo (of what was left if the nice views) and then noticed this cache nearby.
Thank god I put on some pants and a jacket over my pyjamas. It's a bit nippy.

Nice area and easy find. Contents of cache were quite wet and may need replacing.
An easy find. Cache contents a bit of a mess filled with lots of scrappy old logs. Needs a cleanup.
Attending the RAAF 100 year celebration flyover today. We got here early but it was only once it was all over and when the traffic was so backed up, that we decided to look at what caches were about.
We wandered in and it was a quick find. No muggles about so a sign and replaced the log before looking at what others were in our walking vicinity.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance for us to find.

Found it on a pretty nice arvo to be out and about. Quick pick up which is awesome as time to head home. Lid is cracked and log has been wet but dry now. TFTC Puk_Ed
Found - good easy find but not much in way of swaps. Looks like it needs a clean out. Great hiding spot. Love the location
Looks like that poor tree has seen better days. Found and signed, but couldn't see an official log so signed someone else's card.
Found this one yesterday and forgot to log it. It was a beautiful day down by the water, a lovely breeze and sunshine. A quick and easy find too. I even got to pat some dogs and talk to a friendly magpie.

This is an absolutely beautiful spot! Thank you for bringing me here. The cache was in plain sight, so after seeing the log I gave it a bit more camo to keep it safe. The log sheet was also very very damp, so I added a nice clean new one. TFTC
