It's a long weekend in Canterbury so Mrs Biggles and I decided to have an adventure. We took the transalpine train from Rolleston to Greymouth and spent the weekend there before heading home via the same transport. The weather was good and there was time for some wandering and cache finding. This was the first cache a found, fairly close to our motel. Not in the first place I looked but it didn't take too long to find it. TFTC, Biggles.

Packed up for tomorrow, so now a short wander before tea. This is an unexpected discovery! As we retrieved the cache a man leaving work checked whether we had lost something. No, just found something - we're geocaching. Turns out his sister is a cacher, so hello from us to the sister of a nice young fair haired man who works at Grey council! He says there used to be a grand house on the site, and the fountain was in the house's garden. They are trying to get the pump fixed so the fountain works again.

Easy find. The old fountain is a pretty neat forgotten monument. Thanks for placing the cache here!

Spending the next wee while based in punakaiki as I landed a bit of work..
In town to resupply so a good chance to grab a few more caches...quick find tftc

We’re visiting Greymouth to catch the TranzAlpine to Christchurch today and back tomorrow. Should be fun.

After brunch at the awesome Maggie’s I ‘volunteered’ to drop the car off which gave me a few minutes to hunt down a couple of caches whilst ‘passing’

I had the place to myself this lunchtime and was soon able to look in the correct place at which the the hint made sense!

Redco5 and I had to travel from Hokitika to Greymouthtoday firstly to do some clothes washing, secondly for me to get my Covid booster injection and the rest of the time doing the odd AdLab and solved puzzles.

This one we did while the clothes were washing.

We placed this back the afternoon of the 24th.
Sorry if my slow maintenance logging affected any prospective finders.

All new and shiny and back where it should be again.
We used a waterproof logstrip this time just to be sure.

Logbook wet and cache needed a tidy, we didnt have what we wanted in the car so we brought it home and will place it back tomorrow all nice and shiny again.

Kia ora! Went to check out this cache and found that the log book hadn't been placed back in the container so it's all wet. Have placed all components inside a larger container where it hopefully won't get any wetter. Temporary cache is behind some foliage

We had already settled in for the night when I remembered about this cache so we wrote a new log and headed out to do some maintenance. There was an empty, lidless pill container near GZ but we knew that was not our container so we looked where the cache should have been and there it was and nice and dry! My knee however was now wet All good here. Happy Caching

I think some maintenance is required here. Found the cache just lying in the open and empty.
