We visit Swan Hill, Mildura, Renmark, Barossa Valley, Victor Harbour, Tailem Bend and the last night at Ballarat. Stopped for few caches on the way. We had a lot of fun travelling these roads and seeing the farms and wildlife along the way. We found a range of caches. Many thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches.
Found it! Busy road today, probably looked a little suspicious but found and signed no problem! TFTC!
I am trying to make the Feb29 Mega in Adelaide my 20,000th find, and that means keeping a close eye on my numbers. So this is just a temporary log to help me keep my numbers accurate. I'll expand on this when I get home.Find # 19914

Day 1 of my short Geocaching weekend. Today was Home to Swan Reach and after I finished work packed the car up and off I went. So I did not find heaps today just wanted to get a bit closer to my final destination.
Was pouring rain last time I went past this one so skipped it but today the weather was fine on the "Island"

This Sunday, I and J plus the little one visited the Dark Sky Reserve to watch stars, and we found some caches on the way. We tried 17 caches, found 14 caches, including traditional caches, mystery cache, multi cache, and Adventure Lab caches.
This was the fifth find for today.
No problem finding the cache in this "island".
Took nothing, left nothing. Signed the log book.

The Epic Road Trip with OzHockeyChick has now entered a new phase “No More On Your Bike”. After a huge and tiring day yesterday finishing off the western section, it’s a far more relaxed day today exploring and doing a little more sight seeing.
This was another stop to fill in a well travelled cacher challenge spot. Nice island! No water here today.

Found with sesall getting it was easy however getting down sesall borderline rolled his ankle which had me in a hysterical state of laughter thanks for the find
Today we headed out on our as the others in our group had spectific caches to find, most of which we have already found and as we do not own a yak there was four that did not suit us.
Our plan for the day, well open the GPS and click on the nearest unfound cache and this is the pattern we followed throughout the day. We found all the caches we attempted, some were found much easier than others. We drove through and saw beautiful scenery, birds, magnificient trees, dusty roads and many many flies.

Wandering around the countryside today as it's the last day with the rental car. Ended up out this way and as we have cleaned the car we are trying to avoid any dusty roads. This means a very big circle but that also gives us some interesting cache finds. A nice quick find here. tftc
Hahaha, it really is like an island!!
What a fabulous day out...so fabulous that we stamped 98% of the logs as "Fabulous Randoms" (the others we wrote our names).
We completed 3 OTD series, picked up the tribute series to the US iconic trails (ET Highway & Route 66) and stopped to find a number of other random caches including ones with high fav points or interesting D/Ts. Over 160 finds - it was worth the 5am start (to try and beat the heat).
Thanks so much for the cache Meatpaws! [^]

A decision about a day of caching with Goodlook was orgained in the not so distant past to clean up some caches around swan reach and murray bridge.
A successful with no DNF’s and 165 caches finds, completing 3 on this date (OTD) series and some of the fruit loop with a few trads along the way.
Majority if the log books were stamped with FABULOUS RAMDOMS and 5 or 6 we wrote our individual caching names in.

We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Now visiting in Tanunda, today we set about exploring the area using Geocaching as our guide.
With a late start it was midday before we finally set off. Sun shining 18degrees but alas by the time we made our return it was drizzling for our last few finds.
We were also running out of petrol with the orange light on but we kept going for just 1 more. Lol. All caches were found in good condition making it a very enjoyable day out caching.

Caching my way towards the Barossa with clare007 on this rather warm afternoon...
Found the cache easily...no wriggly sticks...had to dodge the spiders in their webs...
As I went to open the cache it disintegrated in my hand...it was so brittle...I replaced it with a nice new container...

Having acquired a nice new shiny caching stamp, Owl was ready to leave it all over the neighbourhood. This was a surprisingly busy intersection, but a quick find.
A very quick find for us today.
There was very little traffic today, so it felt like I was on a deserted island!

Geo-son still needs more hours to qualify to obtain 'P' licence. I have to travel to collect caches. He drives me around to out of the way caches that I would like to clear out areas of my map. Win-win situation.
So today for a second day in a row I thought I would head towards the Barossa and see what comes up on my GPS.
Lucky for me this was a quick find in the obvious spot. I was a bit wary of the long grass, lest I sep on a stick that started to wriggle. Thanks Meastpaws.

Great to have a safe place to pull off and park. Whilst I looked in the wrong place first, it was still a quick find in a logical hiding place! Cache #2464.

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I found on a random day meeting Moneydork out near Sedan for a series that went offline sadly before I got to log it (adults behaving badly). Thanks to Hurtle for flagging one of these where he noticed my name in Moneydork's log but that I hadn't logged it -- this enabled me to locate the other non-defunct-series caches we found that day to go into my stats. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
Thanks for showing me this location and the cache!

Sorry for logging late...
This cache was visited by me either during the one month (February 2015) of hiking/tramping in NZ together with Bärgegumperli or in March/April 2015 while on a bicycle trip across NZ and AUS.
We/I enjoyed geocaching a lot.
Hiking
Hikes:
- Abel Tasman NP: Motueka, Kaiteriteri, Marahau, Inland Track, Separation Point, Coastal Track, Marahau.
- Nelson Lakes NP: St. Arnaud, Hopeless Hut, Travers Saddle, Blue Lake, Waiau Pass, Thompson Pass, D'Urville Valley, Lake Angelus, St. Arnaud.
- Arthur's Pass NP: Mt Brown Hut, Styx Valley, Browning Pass, Whitehorn Pass, Waimakariri Valley, Jordan Saddle, Hut Spur, Arthur's Pass, Mt Aicken
- Bridle Path
The weather conditions were great for tramping almost every single day. We enjoyed the beautiful landscape, the peace in some very remote areas and the many friendly people we met on our way or in the different huts.
Cycling from Dunedin to Auckland
It is not my first tour with this bicycle (map with long loading time).
Places along the route: Dunedin, Otago Central Rail Trail, East Manuherikia track, Tekapo, Fairlie, Geraldine, Oxford, Waipara, Hanmer Springs, Jacks Pass, Island Saddle, Picton, Wellington, Homedale, Hutt River Trail, Masterton, Pongaroa, road near Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu, Waipukurau, Fernhill, Taupo, Whakamaru, Tirau, Hauraki Rail Trail, Kawakawa Bay, Aukland.
After one month of perfect weather (see above) I finally got what I had to expect: Some rain... And sometimes stron headwinds. That the route was not flat at all meant usually that the landscape is great .
*
Cycling from Melbourne to Darwin
Places along the route: Melbourne, Great Ocean Road, Penshurst, Edenhope, Jervois Ferry, Sedan, Tanunda, Crystal Brook, Port Augusta, Coober Pedy, Uluru/Ayers Rock, The Olgas/Kata Tjuta, Mereenie Loop, Alice Springs, Karlu Karlu/Devil's Marbles, Litchfield NP, Mandorah, Darwin.
Along the coast the weather was often wet and cold. The small roads in Victoria and South Australia were very pleasant to ride despite a lot of headwind. This changed as soon as I reached the Stuart Hwy to sometimes strong tailwinds. That's why I had some "spare" time to ride a loop in the Red Centre. Further north
As in NZ i met some awesome people.
*
Guess what I did while waiting for a connecting plane in Perth?
Greetings from Switzerland / Gruess us dr Schwiiz
*There are a lot(!) of caches which I did not search while on the bicycle trip. The reasons are mainly:
1. Stopping slows if one wants to get somewhere, especially on bridges where no one wants to slow down a fully loaded touring bike. Yes, there were quite a few days with >200 km on the pushbike...
2. Riding or resting next to a loaded (recumbent) bike attracts in some areas so much attention that stealth mode is not possible.
3. On rare occasions I rode during the night. If I had to do that there was no time to search for caches anyway [:-(]
4. Some places I did really not consider worth stopping for a cache... Sorry.
