Time to let this series go. It has run its course (it was a long course). No longer interested in placing and maintaining geocaches.
Not the quick find I was hoping for. Approaching GZ, I thought I knew what to expect. I wasn’t able to turn anything up this time.
Went out for a walk on the miserable weather day with the wife for her birthday. So thought we would walk from gembrook to cockatoo and grab all the caches along the way. Lucky for the raincoat.
Managed to get them all but 1 which was clearly missing.
Quite a few had wet log books which made stamping them a bit hard.
Some nice hidden ones and some great ideas. Well done.

After not seeing it, I decided I'd have to become a troll and go under the bridge.
After doing some visual comparisons, ai soon had the cache in hand ️

Papi4506, OzHockeyChick and I gathered for a day with our scooters at Gembrook Cockatoo Trail. The weather is just perfect for this trail.
Before going to the trail, we stopped here and it took us a little while to find the cache. day1976, thanks for placing the cache here.

Tricky hide, thankfully geokid had sharp eyes.
Rain had started and I was having trouble getting the log out so I’ve sent a picture .

So many options to look! Great hide and cool cache. Beautiful sunny day to be out and about today! Tftc
Searched everywhere but was unable to come up with the goods today. Was here with two previous finders but was unable to locate it.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
This cache will be disabled until the COVID-19 crisis is over. Please refrain from finding this geocache.
Clearly this Plantigrade series is not for us! We couldn’t even find this (not so simple) traditional in the series. So for us it is not a Happy Creek today.
We found this cache today at 11:20am on our Emerald to Donna Buang Bounty Hunt. Thanks from D & HA B-A
This is our 4th try at this one and clearly we are missing something DNF again today. We’ve spent enough time with the frogs today. Heading off defeated.
Another day in the company of Na'wal and a few more caches were found. It was a pleasant walk to gz here, but we struggled with the hide. Once we widened our search radius, we struck gold.

With a few days off, DAB and I headed to the hills to make a few finds on some caches. We were up early to get some kilometers into our hiking boots and a couple of caches to get us started. The area was muggle after we waited out a lady walking over the bridge. The co-ords had us right where we were standing, but we didn't think that seemed right. We went exploring further away and with our hunch right, we found this one with our GPSr pointing about 11-12m. I can see how this one takes people a long time to find.

A nice quick find on this one. I must of walked past here a thousand times with geohound. Thought is was about time to get back into finding caches while walking the local haunts. Tftc day1976
After searching for quite awhile without any luck, we sat down to read through the logs and thought we now had a better idea on what we were looking for. Still took us ages as we kept extending the area until the hubby spotted it and everything then made sense.
Thanks day1976. Great hide.

Found with the Copey clan after quite a while then refining our search based on the description. Definitely a tricky one. TFTC
Found with mincka on our second attempt. Great hide, so many places it could be. Thanks for the hide.
Heymissjo and I went out today to find some caches in the Emerald Gembrook area. I had searched for this one several times previously but, after a hint from the CO, I had a better idea of what we were looking for. After expanding the search we managed to find and log the cache. Thanks Day.

Out with crustyvarmint caching today and another fine under our belt! Thanks for the cache, perfect weather for it today!

After stealing a FTF in “Bert’s” area this morning and after finishing my job in Cockatoo I have a few hour before I have to be back in Warragul to pick up my daughter so I came down here with my lunch as I thought I would be here for awhile as many have but what do you know started searching and had it in my hand in about 1 minute, thinking I might of been just lucky. Thanks Day for another cache.
I've invested quite a bit of time trying to locate this one.
No luck again today. I thought I had it worked out, but no cigar.
I'll be back.

We set off early today to head off to the Lead up to St Arnaud event in Emerald today. We decided to try this one on the way home...
AAAAGGGHHHHHHH. What a painful, frustrating cache. We found Crank and Kangas looking when we got there. We searched for a while with no luck. After a while Snaphappy and the empire also joined the search but we all retreated defeated back to our cars.
We were just about to leave when I got a hint from a previous finder. Snap Happy and The Empire had already left so I yelled out to Crank and Kangas and we headed back for another look.
The relief felt when we finally got out hands on the damn thing.
The difficulty was well deserved on this one.

Found it with kangas11, been searched. Luck kryslazz and grannygeo64 arrived. helped each others. We almost give up but one more try kryslazz got it before us. Worth to have team work.

After the Saint Arnaud lead-up event in Emerald, we'd checked out the trail to Gembrook and now were in need of some coffee! We had a few more to pick up along the side of the road before heading for home. I dropped some Empire pathtags in some of the caches we found today. Make sure you log them on pathtags.com if you pick one up. This one took a while, but we got there with some help of some other cachers. Thanks for the cache day1976.

Been to an event at Emerald train station with crank1 and the weather was so nice for caching day. I came the other day with crank1 which we did not find it and today we found it with kryslazz. Finally at last!!! Thanks day1976 for placing the cache
I am sure I signed this a couple of years ago with papi4506 but forgot to log it. Today we are back with OHC as she hadn't found it so definitely in the log now. Thanks for this tricky hide. Love this area.

On the way home from a day out in the bush, we stopped to find this sneaky hide. Luckily I was with previous finders or this woyld have taken a lot longer to find.

Well, we tried and failed. As a plus however, the next person who goes looking for it will have much fewer spider webs to content with - I was really glad that I was wearing a hat!
DNF @ 17:42 with AmethystPig and Muggle-L
My self-appointed challenge for the year is to get 1000 finds for the year, and I've fallen behind in that. To get me closer, AmethystPig, Muggle-L and I decided to walk the Cockatoo to Gembrook trail.
Now that we'd walked the trail, there were still some nearby caches to find. We had a quick look here before we set off earlier, and another more prolonged look after we'd finished the trail. But both with fresh eyes, and with tired eyes, the result was the same. Oh well, something to come back for another time.
Thanks anyway day1976

Didn't have long enough to to look and the GPS and compass were not accurate on my phone. Did circles within a Meyer. May come back to it another time
We were driving around the ranges and stopping at different points to stretch the legs. Cockatoo was the first port of call. I had read a few logs to get a feel for the cache and I was a little worried about how long it might take. Imagine my suprise that I found the cache almost immediately! Sometimes you get days like this (but not often). TFTC
So after munching down on a burger for lunch and now working my way through a minimum of chips, it was time for another cache. I'm glad to say this was a quick find for us today. It could have been nasty was it not for being in the right place and oriented in the right direction.
The log was full so I headed back to the car and grabbed a replacement. Karma worked very quickly. A couple of caches later later this afternoon a $5 note was found at another cache
Thanks Day for the series in such a great area of Melbourne.

A beautiful day to bring out the bikes and explore the Cockatoo to Gembrook trail with mazza-g. A second look here after our ride on the trail. mazza-g came up with the goods here after a bit of a nudge from an earlier finder.

Came to Cockatoo to ride our bikes along the trail to Gembrook with Jascat on this fine winters day. We began the day looking for this cache but didn’t want to spend the time looking. Especially after reading earlier logs. Meanwhile Jascat was phoning and messaging a friend or two. At the end of the day, armed with an extra hint we came back and made the find. TFTC
Even with help from a master we came up empty handed. Next time, Gadget, next time.
While my wife was off on her early morning 30 kilometer run, I had the morning to myself. The plan was to look for a number of caches in Cockatoo that I had DNFed on.
This was the first cache on the list, and I was now armed with a hint that I was previously looking in the right spot. As such my search this morning was more detailed and after about 5 to 10 minutes, a tiny gold nugget was discovered.
Thanks for the cache Day 1976

We had a very brief look for this one a couple of years back but as we were on our way to a party, we didn't have enough of a search to qualify as a DNF. Today, we did and we did.
Sadly did not find this on my 1st attempt but as I had just finished having lunch at the nearby cafe and talking with my daughter, we both noticed other geocachers snooping around the area. I decided to go say hello (Rabitto's) have a look with them for a 2nd go but sadly no find at all. Tyftc
I was sure I logged this but apparently not.
Found with some help from another cacher via message.
Third visit here and I was stumped.
The GPS plays games and clearly my Cachesmarts were in holiday ...
Little BUGGER !!

Driving through the area and realised we had a DNF here, so had another go. With a better idea of what we were looking for and some previous cachers indicating the co-ords were a bit out we found the tricky little cache without too much trouble. Thanks DAY.
5th visit after a PAF I finally signed the log on this one in pretty much the only type of spot I hadn't looked. Now it makes sense that's exactly where it would be. Great hide. Thanks
Out for a ride on the bike and thought I would check on this whilst in the area as had received a PAF during the week. Took a minute but the cache is still there to be found.
4th time looking for this one.
Over 2 hours spent searching all up. Read every log. PAF who confirmed what and where but still no luck. Looks like I'll have to come back with a torch, a cobweb broom and plenty of time.

Reluctantly had to give up. Searched every possible centimeter. Will keep an eye out to see if others find it and revisit another time. Thank you.

After years, months and days Happy pants and I today were on the final count down for the Plantigrade multi-puzzle series.
We had saved all the puzzles caches and the final for what we had dubbed PP day (Plantigrade Puzzle day). We had a dry start but wet finish. The best way to describe this series is epic!
And will recommend it for sure.
Not the easiest to find but after a few minutes I got the "gold"
Cheers for the cache

The rest of the family had just gone to take a toilet break leaving me alone to search for this one. After a little poking around I changed my tact and soon had the sneaky little blighter in hand, maybe I was just lucky today as these some times take way too long to find. Thanks day1976 for the hide.
Didn't find tonight, always fun when the police pull up when your searching! Ha ha, didn't get arrested. Next time I will find it.
Nice easy find experience helped with this one and a keen straight eye. Was a little out on the GPS. TFTC
For once a pesky nano was easy to find. Lucky to start the short search with the correct approach and it was left in a spot with hope of it being found with not too much pointless searching.
I have stopped here a few times to look for the treasure. Today armed with a nudge from the CO after chatting with him recently at an event, I was confident I should be able to find it knowing I had been looking in the right place. Spent about 15 minutes clearing cobwebs without any luck. Gave up and was about to make it come back another day but I decided today was going to be the day to find it. Returned to GZ armed with my night caching tool and started to poke around again. Looking from the right angle and aided by my tool gold was eventually spotted. Lesson for today, don't 2nd guess what you are looking for.

DNF at 11:57 AM.
No idea where it was hidden. Co-ords were pretty good I thought for where I would have put it, but I couldn't see or feel anything.

We had two shots at this today. When we first turned up, there was dad & his 2 daughters fishing 20m away, with the GPSr saying we needed to be 45m away. Not going to work.
Second time we turned up, all clear, only to find that the 45m, was in the opposite direction.
This one was in hand within 10 minutes.
Thanks.

Suscoe dropped by here after a nice couple of finds nearby.
Took a bit of time but eventually the secrets were revealed.
Log signed and all happy.
The ground is a bit slippery too.

Our fourth stop of the morning kept us busy for quite a while. We searched high and low and were just about to call it a DNF, one last look before we go and it is right in front of me. Thanks for the poem and for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Today in the company of Spiffy- and muttley! we tried again for this cache. We had settled on a suspected spot and with some light made a pretty quick find. Thanks to Day1976 for the cache.
We headed out again with much better weather this time than last week to do a bit of walking to find a few more plantigrade multi waypoints.
This was the first on the list since this is where we parked and last time we were here it was raining and not really pleasant so we gave up after a few minutes. Today Fleabag- made the find in very quick time.
Thanks day1976 for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

Remarkably Zeus found this one despite being completely useless, generally, at finding nanos. We followed every part of the description to the letter including the slipping over in the mud bit.
So tiny! Dry and good condition. Warm sun and puffing billy tooting in the distance. Tftc!
Second time (very) lucky. I was just about to give up when I chanced upon the cache. Very tricky - a real needle in haystack job. Coords seemed a few metres out, I measured it as s37 56.139 e145 29.388 but I'm not sure that's any more accurate than the listed coords. A slightly more descriptive hint would at least narrow the hunt down to one of the many potential structures at GZ. Cache in good condition, with a fresh log. Thanks!
