On a caching run today with the team. Stopped off at GZ in the hunt for this archived cache for our Rugby League challenge for this years Geocaching Australia GeosportZ 2018 game currently underway. As we split up to search around GZ, phlphotos made the find on this rusty tin that has seen better days....but it is still here!!! Thanks for the hunt and the cache CATONY.
As an added bonus we picked up one month shy of three years (1074 days) unloved on this cache.
The following TBs came through for the mileage: Bob geoMinion, Dave geoMinion, Evil geoMinion, Jerry geoMinion, Larry geoMinion, Mary Hyde's Treasure, Stuart geoMinion, teamMerlin's 7 Deadly Ducks Tag (Lust), Vanlith The Youngling.

#1787 after going to an ANZAC dawn service close to home came down here to grab a few caches with the idea of collecting some for the current GA game. This one suited a need. Met up with alnic39, teamMerlin and Splitty Miller JJCC. Had a few archived caches that we were looking at checking out in this area.
Looking at the hints think we mixed up #5 & #6. This one wasn't there but the magnetic one at 6 was there. But as they are both archived & so long as we claim only one it doesn't really matter which one is which. This one we didn't find
Considered it CITO material so removed
Thanks for the cache CATONY
The following TBs visited for the distance - phlphotos 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 & 2017 NSW geocoin, phlphotos travelling 2012, 2017 NSW Geocoin, phlphotos Mary Hyde's compass, phlphotos Spindoc Bob Memorial Geocoin, phlphotos, phlphotos Area 51 Tag, phlphotos backpacker canister cover, phlphotos Cache In Trash Out Geocoin, phlphotos Cache In Trash Out Tag, phlphotos CITO Micro Geocoin, phlphotos Col Miner geocoin, phlphotos Four Elements Geocoin, phlphotos Optical Illusion Geocoin, phlphotos Trackable Building Brick, phlphotos Travel Bug Dog Tag, phlphotos Oz GeoMuster 2018 geocoin, phlphotos Oz GeoMuster 2018 geocoin, & dirty Black Juke

Met up with team north-west on and ANZAC Day holiday for some caching in the south. As mentioned, the cache is not in the best condition, but the CO has explained why. Archived caches are just another interesting facet of this game.
Extremely helpful hint. Watch out for cars and muggles in their houses across the street! Thanks for the cache!
On the way visiting family and that is another one in the series found.

Rumbled down the thin black line late last night through the Big Smoke towards the Sunderland Shire and uncharted Territory to try my hand at finding a few caches there in the cool of the dark. Thanks to all who made my evening memorable, Thanks for the adventure

There was a dead spider attached to the wire, lucky o brought gloves and wiped it off for future geocachers
Loved this find - although the clue appears to relate to #4 in the series and vice cersa. Have these been switched?
A bit of tenacity and a careful eye helped.

Found the cache hanging from the nearby tree which I didn't think was the intention based on the description. So I SL and repositioned the cache correctly.
Cache #835
Still a bit more challenging but too much info is given in the hint.

Well, I'm within striking distance of completing the Sutherland Shire Cachers’ Challenge (GC4YC2C), and I'll be in the Shire both days this weekend.
And I've also got a milestone coming up...
So, I decided to strike pre-emptively to get really really close to both by getting an early start today. I decided to go for a few I considered problematical (ie difficult or already DNFed) so I'd know if I could complete it in time.
By the end of the day, I had 12 caches to the milestone, but only 6 for the challenge (5 + challenge cache). But one of those is a longish bushwalk!

Not exactly walking this one. Will do that for the rest of the series another time. Drove to GZ and as I parked a pretty young girl in skimpy clothing kept a close eye on me - well I had parked just after driving past her.
She continued on and I made my way to GZ.
A quick find in an obvious spot - seen this type of hide too many times before and recognised it immediately.
Completed signing duties and then continued on to my next target in Yarrawarrah.

Australia and a few cache attend this trade for a smiley. Thanks for the nice round, so I could get to know the area better.
I found a lot of the 10000 steps caches. Had an amazing day, and a lot of walking. Thanks for a great series! Best regards from Germany.
Logged this as found 17/7 by mistake should have been 10000 steps 4.
so back today to locate it sign the log and set the records right.

Now this one is even easier than #4 - no chance of being bitten by nasties hiding in there.

Dirk didn't think it was the right one because it was a different kind of wire
There's one like this near como bridge. It took me a long time to find that one but now with that experience up my sleeve I found this one straight away. tftc!
Nice easy find. I must have my cache-goggles on today. Spotted this one from a distance. TFTC
Reperio at 1710.
After attending an event in Wollongong earlier, I was headed home to Newcastle when I decided to make a short detour to find a few caches in the series. Parked next to this one, and soon found the very nicely hidden cache.
Gratias CATONY.

After walking along this busy street with much, noise we finally found a cache after the last DNF.
Thankfully the clue made for a very quick find as there are many windows across the road.
We found one cache in the 10000 Steps series last night. In the twilight and dark this afternoon and evening we went to look for some more in the series, Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache was in good condition but the logbook is full and needs replacing. Thanks for the cache Catony.
A quick find on the coldest day since last July. Good to keep moving. (log was full - just squeezed on)
Found it while pulling container out a spider has also made a home in some pipe

Great little hide, found with niinha, log book close to full. TFTC enjoying the variety of hides n this series
MrsFish saw a sign and soon held the cache, very well hidden. Thanks for a good hide.
This was one of our favorite hides so far in this series. Good concealment of a good container.
This time Fast Reggie (Dad) found the cache! I and Fab Phillo (younger brother) were about to walk past, but Fast Reggie got it!

Up from Canberra visiting the family for the holidays...so why not take advantage of top weather and spend the day on a geomission around The Shire?
Continuing on with the drive-bys down this stretch of road, and this one was the next target. After pulling the car over I found the cache in seconds in between cars wizzing past. Love this sort of hide as well as the container!
Thanks for yet another, CATONY . Now on to the next....

#708.9 - I like this style, been a while since we've encountered this style. Well done, worthy of a favourite star
On Boxing day, I found all of the 10000 steps caches. Had an amazing day, and a lot of walking
Thanks for a great series! Best regards from Denmark

Urgh! We immediately located the wire and where the cache would be hidden but had to scare off a couple of huge huntsman spiders guarding the entrance! TFTC!
Geodad found this one. I was busy taking some photos of the flowers and geomum and geoboy were looking elsewhere. Thanks CATONY.
Decided to take the long way home to Canberra from my work visit to the big smoke. Saw the 10k steps and wished I had time to walk instead of driving by. But still a very enjoyable side trail.
Quick find whilst passing this afternoon. Oddly enough I found a similar one to this not that long ago. TFTC CATONY
