Ventured to the western suburbs with morty8888 to grab some caches, two. of which belonged to this CO. Glad to avenge a dnf here. TFTC
Last day out with Oldmorty for a while so we made the most of the mild weather and went searching this area for some treasure. Drove right up to GZ and saw the cache before we got to within a metre. Looks like a fair setting up with rides around. TFTC!
For sure the easiest of the series! Signed the log and returned as found. Happy to come back and correct this DNF from 2 years ago; TFTCRS!
Got all the way out to only to find that GZ hasn’t been found in 18 months
May need to replace or disable this one

Rainbow Spirit I didn’t find your cache Pot of Gold PT, Yellow 2 on 24/4/21, 10:03 am. Only one spot it should be in. Searched around, nothing found.
Today I once again drove across Sydney for some caches. Gotta get in another trip before they add that extra toll to the trip.
This time I brought geodog for a walk too, kill two birds with one stone as the saying goes.
Well we did lots of walking but not much caching. We started near PoG Orange 2, but guess what...... the GPS battery was flat.
Now how did that happen??
I must have put the used batteries back in instead of the new batteries.
So just as well I had geodog or it would have been a very long drive for nothing!
Anyway we had a bit of a look at what appeared to be PoGO2 as there seemed to be a cacher trail towards the trees, but found nothing.
I decided to walk on to this cache as that was the plan of attack to get up the required distance for the dog. I had done some homework last night and had written the number of metres from that cache to this one so stepped it out, 1m a stride until I reached the right distance.
What chance?
Well I went over to a potential spot, had a look around and there it was!!!
Unbelievable!
Also unbelievable is the T rating for this cache and where I found it.
Luckily I'm agile and soon had SL.
Geodog and I completed our planned walk down to Mimosa Road and back, and took home the obligatory 10,000 farmer's friend weed seeds each.
(One hour of grooming later he is seed free.)

I think you should be giving me the FP for this one RS.

OCW marj01 to tackle the twentyone caches in the Power Trail series along Orphan School Creek. We made an early morning start and did the series in the reverse order to the CO's numbering. A lot of time was spent examining casuarina trees looking for very well camouflaged caches. Of the twentyone caches we found fourteen of them with four dnf's; we didn't attempt the other three caches as they already had a string of dnf's. Thanks for the series Rainbow Spirit and the company marj01.
Trying to get to my 1900 milestone as I have a special cache in mind but I still have 20+ to go so decided to target this PT.
Spent quite a bit of time here without luck. Thought it might have been attached to the large branch that had been chopped down but couldn't find it on that either.

Bugr ... bugger? Or burger? Who knows.... very quick find... surprised it hasn't gone...
Had to wait for some walking muggles to make their way pretending I was fussing over Mr geo1. Really didn't want to walk in there in case there was a snake but did it anyway. Carefully stepping and listening for movement, I made my way in and started my search. Freaking out about snakes and getting bitten by mozzies, I was about to turn around when I spotted it.

It helps to have good co ordinates when finding a cache like these. I've being wanting to do series of caches for some time now and with the rain falling, this gave me the opportunity to test out my new wet weather gear. A great day of Caching on the bike along this trail. With a couple DNF's, Muggles standing at GZ, water everywhere and some nice challenging caches to find. I would recommend this trail to all caches. Thanks Rainbow spirit for a fun afternoon.

Rode past this one, so parked my bike in the shade and walked back to GZ short search nothing. Bring bike up to GZ and on the way spotted something just hanging about. CIH. TFTC.
This day has been very good to find some caches in this area. [:o)] Together with Pitsch Patsch we walked this distance. Most of the hiding places could be found well thanks to the good coordinates and directions. [^] The route was ideal to walk, every now and then we saw a few cyclists using this route.

Had a nice walk to this one past the horse racing place and wondered where it was going to be. After a fairlly big search. I finally spotted the little sucker TFTC
Teamed up with Seemyshell today to ride the power trail and grabbed #10 along Orphan School creek. Getting to know the CO's style with some varied finds. A great cycle trail as well.

Took longer then really needed as I was thrown off by a comment in the logs. Nice walk. Master Q loved the nearby horses.

I don't hold much hope for this one. There is a lot of evidence just how high the water rose here and it would have well and truly covered any thing lying about. This one needs a cache check to be sure.
Looked for ages. Not sure how low it was but the recent floods had been up around the base of the tree.
On recommendations of a caching couple I met at an Event, came out for a day-visit to the series of caches along the Orphan School Creek. This is 14th of 20 for the day.

A very easy find. Watch out for the nearby funnelweb though! TFTC

30/07/15. 1:41 PM. Cache #2757. Streak day #403.
8th of 10 finds for the afternoon.
Working my way through the middle rainbow. I had a brief pause from the series, and found "Mary MacKillop - Wakely" and then drove here via the showground entrance. The gate was locked, so I had to walk about 500m. Once I got to GZ, it was an easy find.
I returned to the car and drove to Moonlight Rd, to find Orange 2 then Red 2. TFTC.

Thought I'd head south today and knock over a few more caches in the Pot of Gold trail today. Still ended up with a few DNFs, but also found two I'd not found before.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Parked in the large car park (with more circling learner drivers than I've ever seen anywhere) and walked to the rest of today's attempts.
This was first. Initially unsure what side of the fence I'd be on, but as I got closer to GZ it became obvious where I needed to be.
A quick search and I uncovered the cache - just as a jogger went past.
Took a short distance to complete signing duties, then back for the replace.

Today we went for a drive and visited many nice parks.
We were not only looking for caches but also found many nice hidden spots.

TFTC,
I saw a post on the Sutherland Shire Geocachers Facebook page and decided a bit after 7:00AM this morning to join a trip along the Pot Of Gold for a couple of hours. We stayed with the group for 3 hours before calling it a morning.
How hard can it be to find a Bison Tube in a tree? I thought it was easy until this morning.
This was the ninth and final find for the day. Finder 9 Hiders 4. I guess I will have to return one day to get a line of smiley's. Visited a group of trackables.

Large flock of Little Corellas and Long-billed Corellas was nice to see on the walk to GZ.
Walked from the previous cache, passing the horse area to the right. One suspicious muggle sitting in hi car at the rear of the stables, waiting for what?
Arriving at GZ it did not take too long to find the cache, one of the easier one in the series.

Came through the long way from the golf course, which was a big mistake, filled with farmers friends.
Next came through the long way via another cache with Naty Perry and found within a minute or two. Nice easy find finally.
Thanks for the cache!

What a great day for geocaching. The weather was dry and cool, as were today’s team members: The Voucher, Melelina, and flytoSYD. Of course, at the end of the day we had plans to do something about being so dry. The three of us are aging gracefully and require adult hydration at about 4 PM. We will have to work quickly and efficiently to cover 26 caches today. Over the hump - midway - and another find. SL TFTC.
We're starting to see one too many tree caches. FlytoSYD and I both stayed out and admired the native birds that were squaking overhead.
