Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU.
I’ve finally reached the last POT Cache for me in the series; but unfortunately it’s a DNF today as rain started pelting too hard before I could find the cache; will have to make a return and find all the DNFs in this trail; thank you so much for the adventure Rainbow Spirit! Definitely some challenging finds and of course some challenging Did Not Finds :p
Third day of the new year and we have signed the log for this cache. Thanks for arranging and giving us the opportunity to explore.
TFTC,
Out with others while they find caches in LGA's they don't have.
With so many DNF's today, all 13 finds across 4 LGA's were special.
Not about to try some of my previous DNF's but this section was quick.
Visited trackables.

Out showing Liz & Bruce a tour of the area, with Wazza9, quick find, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO
Thankfully no muggles. Log a bit wet so dried it off as best I could. Signed and replaced as found. TFTC
A nice easy find.
I got to the GZ, stopped, looked around and there it was.
The log was a little damp but still writable.
Pity about all the garbage in the stream below the bridge.
Thanks.

Heading past this way and this was part of the trail I had previously not looked at so stopped and headed over. Had some ideas and a little bit of moving around to make the find and collect a bit of unloved. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
I've stared at this for quite sometime now. I really didn't want to put the sad face as I had a hunch what I was looking for but sadly it's either blended in too well or I got cache blindness?
Rainbow Spirit I didn’t find your cache Pot of Gold PT, Red 3 on 24/4/21, 12:35 pm. Stood on the bridge and looked around but nothing found.
Parked near here to start our campaign on this series.
Geo girl straight on to this one and signed the new log.
Thanks for the generous hint, could’ve been a while otherwise, knowing me!

Today was an RS caching day!
That would be a Rainbow Spirit caching day as all my finds were by that CO.
After leaving the geomobile near a lovely original Federation style 'farmhouse' which would have had lovely views over the Orphan School Creek years and years ago I walked the short distance to GZ.
At the time I came here there were plenty of cycling muggles passing so I occupied myself by looking at the variety of native trees growing along the creek banks. Its a pretty spot.
That kept me busy as they came and went and helped me get at the right angle to make my first find of the day. I was worried the cache might fall into oblivion as I tried to get the log out, which was a tight fit, but all good.
Lots of unloved days here for me!

Although it's been replaced I have to log a DNF today. And I was here with a previous finder. I think it may be missing again.
I stood on the bridge, I looked (possibly everywhere but in the right place) and failed to see the cache.
Out chasing some jewels and avenging some DNFs from my last visit to the POG series with the geodog.
The hint says "reach", but that's easier said than done for little old Brew. Got it, signed the fresh log and replaced. Thanks for replacing as it was AWOL last time I was here. DNF revenge! TFTC

Signs of tree maintenance. 30 minutes of looking revealed no find. Cache may have been removed.
First people to attempt find since last years DNFs. May have been removed during track maintenance, hopefully someone checks soon:
Another one we spent 20 minutes searching for with no luck. Not having a good day with some of these.
#2324 spent a little while at Orange 3 but didn't find it so followed the path to this one which was a quick find and soon got it withing reach
With cache in hand we signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for bringing me to the area and thanks for placing the cache Rainbow Spirit

Located at 7:48am. Third find for the morning. Soon spotted another nicely camouflaged cache along this well laid out trail Kudos Rainbow Spirit. Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
Quick find but wouldn’t have wanted to be any shorter! Was afraid that I was going to drop it! Totally gob smacked at the amount of rubbish hanging in the trees from previous floods, makes me sad. Tftc I am really enjoying the series!
OCW marj01 to tackle the twentyone caches in the Power Trail series along Orphan School Creek. We made an early morning start and did the series in the reverse order to the CO's numbering. A lot of time was spent examining casuarina trees looking for very well camouflaged caches. Of the twentyone caches we found fourteen of them with four dnf's; we didn't attempt the other three caches as they already had a string of dnf's. Thanks for the series Rainbow Spirit and the company marj01.

Trying to get to my 1900 milestone as I have a special cache in mind but I still have 20+ to go so decided to target this PT.
My run of quick finds came to an end at this location. I had an idea of what I was looking for and got very excited when I found it - but it had nothing at the other end. After looking some more I decided to have a troll's look - contrary to the hint. As expected, no luck there. Back up and ready to give up after looking some more. Then... what is that and how am I going to get my hands on it? In the end it was quite easy. Left for the next one with a great sense of satisfaction...

Wow.....that took some looking !
I’ve never seen a hide/retrieval like that before
If looking at the plastic bags in this creek doesn’t make you support the “ban the bag” campaign then I’d be shocked !!

Ah, tricky little hide, yet very simple too. Just got to look that little bit harder. Tftc
Over looked it. Looked at another tree. Muggle. Wait. Back to looking. Found it. Sad about the plastic bag in the creek
Found this one super quick. Probably my quickest find yet! Cache is in great condition. Seems I found and signed the original cache. Had a brief look for the new one but couldn't find it at all. Onto the next with Mr geo1 singing with the birds. TFTC!
Did what the hint suggested and soon had the CIH. Did the legals and replaced as found.

Having read a few logs, I eventually found the cache and it seems that I too have signed the one that Tronador signed last year. So maybe Bulldog Trev is right that there may be two caches in this location. Twice the fun, I say! TFTC
Interesting. Stay too long and the mozzies will eat you alive. First log since Tronador in July so I guess I found the original cache. Not sure where the replacement cache is but it looks as though there might now be two. May need fixing. Thanks
Teamed up with Seemyshell today to ride the power trail and grabbed #15 along Orphan School creek. Getting to know the CO's style with some varied finds. A great cycle trail as well.
Thanks for the series Rainbow Spirit and the company Seemyshell.

At last!!
I was in the area and this was the last of the POG series I hadn't found (4 attempts). I have been watching the "colourful" history of this cache and noted that the CO had recently replaced it. So it was one I had to find this time.
Once again some looking and craning of the neck followed by a successful find. Put to rest.

I tried again twice today, but a different search tactic today, just not seeing the forest for the trees....
Wasn't sure if this one had survived. The water really was up that high. Lots of debris as evidence and the amount of rubbish is sad. Found nothing on the way out but decided to take one more look on my way back and did exactly what the clue said. It pays to listen cause I found myself a well hidden cache. Good one, loved it.
We had tried this before without Sucess but today it's all academic. It hides very well. TFTC
On recommendations of a caching couple I met at an Event, came out for a day-visit to the series of caches along the Orphan School Creek. This is 8th of 20 for the day.
So many times I've thought, why doesn't someone do something like this.
Well, Rainbow Spirit has! FP for a top hide.

Water levels appear to have been over the footbridge recently, no luck for me today, so much debris in the creek and everywhere else.
Very sneaky indeed and carefully retrieve and replaced. It is a shame that there is so much rubbish that has been washed along the creek, thanks.
4/3/16. 11:02 AM. Cache #3622. Streak day #621.
3rd of 5 today - Kellyville, Beaumont Hills, Canley Heights & Oatley.
When I had finished finding "Meadowlands", I started to work out what my next target was going to be. I had considered the four newies in the Bardwell Valley series by ziggiau. But then I noticed that RS had recently re-enabled this one (and Purple 2) which were my final two left to complete this Pot of Gold PT.
What's more, there was a year of unloved credit on each of these two caches*, which will count towards the 50-year target.
(*The last find of Red 3 would appear to be by Chook120453 on 13/2/15. If you look at the log from leezyclan from May, the words suggest a DNF, but the wrong log type appears to have been selected).
So it was a no-brainer to come over here. I had only gone a little way when I saw new cache emails popping up. One was in Oatley...nah that's an hour away, forget it....stuck to the plan and still came here.
Parked at the nearest street and walked over to the familiar bridge. I had a good idea what I was looking for, but ended up spreading out to both sides and much further away before coming back and spotting it. Aha! Sneaky as ever. Confirmed a blank (replacement) log, so the unloved days are all mine. I continued on to do the same at Purple 2. TFTC.

I think I know what was supposed to happen at this location and I checked both sides. If it is gone, you can pretty much figure out the direction it went...
I'm back to finish of the DNF's in the POG Series. Received an extra hint from the CO about the ones I couldn't locate. Even after all that and this being my fourth go at this one..FAIL!
I notice the last log here is also from me. I spent sometime looking with the extra hint too. Had to log this as a DNF. Disappointing, as I completed the series minus this one. Must be gone?

My third attempt at this cache and after spending sometime looking with two pair of eyes, I have to log another DNF. Either we are blind or the camo is so good. A horrible day of caching.
Thought I'd head south today and knock over a few more caches in the Pot of Gold trail today. Still ended up with a few DNFs, but also found two I'd not found before.
END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION
Second DNF in a row.
Hmmm.
Trying to reconcile the hint with the terrain rating. Checked a few options, including a sneaky type of hide I've come across from the CO before, but nothing seen.

16/5/15. 3:31 PM.
After a couple of other caches to the north ("Oma and Opa's cache" and "In the burbs"), I did the eastern third of the Pot of Gold PT from Violet 3 to Red 3. I had mixed success with 4 finds and 3 DNFs although two of these have probably been muggled.
I was starting to run out of time after spending too long looking for missing caches at Blue 3 and Orange 3. I had to pause my search a couple of times as junkie-types walked past me. The shadows were starting to get too long for a good search, so with falling light I called it a day. Had to run back to the car near Violet 3 to pick up geodaughter. I'll be back for more of this series another day.

Returned to continue Part 3 of the series on a great day weather wise but not a good one geocaching wise. I thought this one was going to be a breeze, searched for sometime without any luck. I guess its possible it got swept away in the recent high winds and/or flooding? TFTC Rainbow Spirit.

#2612 - 07:05; In Sydney to attend an event over the weekend, I identified this power trail as providing the closest accessible caches to keep my current streak running at 352 days, as well as getting a few numbers as well. I was up early and identified a convenient parking area for the geomobile which would provide access to a few of the caches in the series. I decided to head west along the trail. I had two from two when I arrived at GZ for this cache. Another bad case of geoblindness was building. The search took a while, but I eventually spotted the cache and was able to retrieve it, sign the log and replace before heading back to my starting point for one last find before heading off to face the challenges of the day.
