I needed to take a road trip up to Canberra from Melbourne and took the whole family who luckily let me out to do some searching for the 3 days we were here. It was excellent in the Xmas to New Year period because everywhere was so quiet and made the searches much easier.
Just after having dinner we decided to look for a few caches by iPhone torch light.
We looked for a while and all we could find was a small round earth magnet.
Thanks gecko1968 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I was too careful with this one! Would have felt less conspicuous if TravelGran and I had Hi Viz jackets. Talk about attract attention. Will put on Watch List and wait for the next post.
I found it easily, but couldn't replace it as I would have liked. It needs glue, so I had to place the plastic part on the wood next to the hiding spot.
Out and about with my besty, Happy Uke, again today. We were out to catch a whole swag of caches and brag about it to all and sundry.
We were off to Canberra again today and decided to get some on the way south.
Thanks!

Finalf29 and I decided on the spur of the moment to cache in Canberra and visit some friends there as well. Left a lot later the I was planning (we did the Helensburgh puzzle series yesterday). Nice drive down with a few park and grabs along the way. Great company with Finalf29 as my wingman... found 12 but also a few dnf's... but still an enjoyable day.
This was my eighth for the day. Finally made it to Canberra and decided to grab some near our friends before we dropped in on them. After some very careful consideration we had cache in hand. We considered that to be one very strong tiny magnet and a very interesting log sheet... muggles around but they were all carefully considering their own stuff, so no problems. After further considerations, Finalf29 and I decided to go to the toilet and get some food, in that order. Thanks

Found with epzccc131 after a lot of searching and frustration. Awesome cache
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks gecko1968 for the cache.
Found whilst the missus was at street orienteering. No log book so placed a small piece of paper with name on.TFTC

After the nearby event this afternoon in preparation for the Alice Springs event in a few weeks local cacher darksidedan and I decided to do a few caches and was highly amazed. I was handing out favourite points everywhere! Even found one of the oldest caches in Australia too!

I arrived at Jamo to attend an indoor puzzle event, but I was a tad early so I had some time to grab a couple of caches. Of course it was Sunday but the markets have packed up and gone. The slightly rainy weather also helped and no one paid me much attention. I quickly spotted what I thought would be the container, I was able to nonchalantly stretch my arm in between passing muggles and soon had CIH and log signed. That was fun -Thanks for the cache, gecko1968.

With a few spare minutes before collecting geodaughter from the mall, this little beastie beckoned. The area was jam-packed today, but I adopted my "if I don't look at you, you can't see me" approach and was able to close in on GZ without issue.
As I came near I saw... something. It was out of place and looked like it might have been part of a container. I checked it out, replaced it and kept looking. Nearby on the ground I saw... something. It looked like it might have been another part of a container; the "Tankengine was here" sticker confirmed it.
I reunited the pieces, but there was no log to be seen. I added a dodgy temporary one from a scrap of paper in the car. It will do for a while... TFTC

I was happy that this one was a bit of a quicker find for me today. A couple have made me think I was cache blind but I did end up finding all I looked for today. Thanks for this sneaky hide gecko1968. I was glad it wasn't in a location where there was someone waiting for transport. Cheers!
6:10pm 24/11 - spotted straight away. Added a new piece of paper as the log was full and it was a bit dodgy.

This was a quick flight even though our GPS was out. Found with Jazzboy on a beautiful warm day that was supposed to be cloudy with a hint of rain according to the BOM
First cache find introduced to me by my girlfriend. That was good fun! Think I'm hooked.
Nice quick find today. Log very wet. Took geowolf Katie for her first cache. TFTC SL
Was in the area looking for food and noticed this nearby. So got my food and sat on wall eating whilst I dealt with the cache.
Coming home from the 4ando annual ski trip and had to pick up a few caches in Canberra. After carefully considering a few options at gz we were able to find the grab.

I swung past here while everything was relatively muggle free, on my way to cache around Uriarra Crossing. This was the first cache of a long caching day, and easily found. TFTC.

Starting back caching after a bit of a break. Finding sneaky urban caches is a great way to remind the team how fun geocaching is! Thank you for the cache and warning about muggles. Team Maroon.
Naughty muggle kid from nearby school being ‘talked too’ by muggle teachers (I even knew one of them). Too busy to notice me though. TNLNSL TFTC
Found after attending an event nearby and after a lovely lunch across the road ...

Found top of container on ground, log missing. So I signed the Tankengine sticker and placed it back where it should have been. .
An easy Cache as the afternoon warms up. A few muggles but not so many to make the grab and return a problem. A few kids out learning to ride with their Dad on their new Christmas bikes. Cute. Tftc
Once we found a parking spot and the gps settled down and no problem.

This one took awhile to find, but had a sit down to think about where it could be and it was just there! Visiting from Queensland. TFTC
You're right. Sunday morning tricky. Had to "check my messages" for ages before I could make the grab.
Found @ 2:26pm in perfect public holiday weather
A quick find, thanks gecko1968

A quick dash while waiting for geohusband to emerge from the nearby supermarket. The cache was logless, so I donated one. Thanks for the cache.
I think I found it, but I couldn't find the log so I'm not actually sure... Will email the cache owner.
Swung by this one after a late night finish at the lab [|)]
Nice quick pick up of the unique container at GZ [^]

TFTC. Plenty of room left on the log - although it's now on the second side of the paper.
The eighth find of the day on score check day. I had walked past this one on several occasions with friends without finding the cache. After reading a few logs beforehand, I had thought this one might take a little while to find. I wandered over from the previous cache and was happy to notice that there were not many people around GZ. First concern ticked off, I guess muggles aren't shopping on a Wednesday morning! Once I arrived at GZ, I found the cache almost straight away! That was a pleasant surprise. There was one muggle near GZ but I waited until she wasn't watching to retrieve the cache. Log signed and cache replaced (with equal stealth). TFTC gecko1968!
Nice easy find this morning. Clever camouflage! TFTC gecko1968
