took some searching but soon had the cache in hand. thanks for this cache overlooking a pretty amazing view
A quick find while waiting for leg three of the TDU. Sunny day with a headwind for the riders coming from MaranangaTFTC CheersLead n Lac
Found today with Jamesta18 on this beautiful sunny day here in the Barossa My favourite spot of the day, so I gave you a favourite point, thank you for bringing us here, we loved the surroundings The views here are so beautiful of all the stunning palm Trees on Seppeltsfield Road, excellent spot for a photographer. Apparently the palms were planted by Seppeltsfield Winery workers during the Great Depression from 1920-1930. Interesting This area is definitely designed to wine-dine, play and stay, there are so many wineries and and restaurants and accommodation here, one of the oldest and most favourite is Jacobs Creek winery TFTC https://www.seppeltsfieldroad.comHeres a link to explore and enjoy
GPS was all over the place, but eventually found. Nice views from up here.
Whilst up this way finishing off the grape series, stopped by this one and made the quick find.

Over from Perth for Christmas with the family, spent the day enjoyed the chocolate factory and a perfect day out. Had to throw in a few caches thanks so much
oday I headed out to the Barossa Valley for a day of caching lured by the ice cream event. My goal was to try and find a few multis and puzzles to assist with various challenges I am working on. Also wanted to get the new virtual to try to get to my virtual target for the year alas I don’t think it’s going to happen.
The forecast was for raging wind and down pours neither of which materialized. Yay.
The ice cream was rather good and was great to catch up with lots of folk at the event.
25 finds for the day which I was happy with but also 5 dnf. You win some you lose some.
This one had me checking both sides of the road gps bouncing around. Eventually turned up a cache. TFTC

finally some reasonable weather lol we decided to drive the Seppeltsfield Rd and cache our way around. This was next. The GPS was a bit jumpy but when we looked at the clue and widened the search we spotted something that fitted and soon had the cache in hand. Nice view from up there!

Another day in the Barossa with BettyBoo3747 and the geodoggies.
The weather was looking a bit iffy so we traveled by car collecting caches in the rain around the Barossa.
Nice views from up here. Although all the rain the road was in a reasonable state.
Thanks, Robmc.

#19937. Day 10 of our holiday in SA and the weather forecast was for rain, showers and rain. Robmc and I loaded the geodoggies into the chariot and headed off around the countryside collecting caches where we could. Surprisingly, we managed 26 finds and finished off 2 waypoints of an AdLab we started on our last visit.
A narrow little road and an amazing view from up here. Had a fossick around and found the good-sized container. Loved the lines of palm trees that we could see leading to Seppeltsfield.
Thanks mopoke

Nice view. Worth the effort. Thankyou for placing it. Lovely day in the Barossa. Coffee, walk on the NTA with a few caches. Picnic lunch. Then Chocolate factory for wine tasting. Finish off with caches down Seppelsfield Rd. Not a bad day
Took a while, coords are off or just me, but found it eventually. Cache is all good, lovely views. TFTC
Think I logged the whole series this morning but can’t be sure till I see smileys on the map. Installed new logs where needed (a few were mouldy), replaced caches that were def missing... one was just a base no lid or log. Got twigs in my hair, drove down a goat track (you know the one), consumed water and fruity chews, found a few on the ground, most were exactly where I thought they’d be Picked a zillion bits of speargrass outa my old runners.

I had organised to meet up with CPwanderer and Gizmo's Gang to find a few caches around Tanunda and Nuriootpa. Most were puzzles that I had solved with a few trads and multis thrown in. After CP's list was completed we went our separate ways and I continued on in the heat getting a few more smilies before heading home. [^]
Drove a little way up the track then walked the rest. Didn't take long to get to GZ where I spotted the hide as I walked towards it. The cache was nicely tucked away and was quickly retrieved and the log stamped.

Co-ords seem a little off. We located the goodies about 10m SWW of GZ. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Blue sky day, so it’s a great day for caching. TFTC mopoke

Luckily we were in the work Ute..not sure I’d like to bring my car down/up here. Reasonably quick find which was surprising..many nooks and crannies where it could have been..Thanks for bringing us out this way TFTC

Today myself, Blackadders and S.A. Sewer Rats headed out once again for a Wednesday Wander. [^] We headed up to the Barossa Valley where we wandered about doing some labs and others caches we were passing before heading off to the Kaiserstuhl Conservation Park for a long, long walk! The Rat chalked up find number 10,000 during our travels.
Great views from up here. Cache found in the place I expected it to be.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks mopoke for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Found during a caching tour of Nuriootpa and the Barossa with Team Waldron for the day on a cool and cloudy day made for perfect caching weather. Thanks for the cache doggybom101!
I came past here in October last year on my way back from the Riverland, but in the dark I had no luck. Back today and after a short search the cache was found nicely tucked away
With the weather looking a bit precarious in the city today I decided to headed north towards the Barossa to find a few more caches in the area before making my way through springton, mount pleasant and back home via kersbrook to find the new caches in the area. Total of 48 finds for the day.
Thanks for the cache

I was out this way with CPwanderer & Gizmo's gang completing a nearby multi.

CP drove into the narrow road as we walked towards gz.

Found by Mary and David at 16:45. After the Geostuff 10th Birthday Event earlier today, we completed the Barossa Historic Winery Tour Adventure Lab. This cache popped up on our radar as we left Seppeltsfield. Always time for another cache, so we made the short detour. You could imagine this track being used by the original German settlers. Our thanks to mopoke.
Nice spot, great views back towards the hills. Is that Kaiser Stuhl I can see in the distance? Thanks for bringing me here!
Found after a very short search after visiting nearby winery’s.

TFTC. My compass was quite out so it took a little while but so glad I found it.
The road up to this one was a bit too rugged for my Rice-Burner Toyota Corolla so it was "two feet and a heart beat" to get to this one
There was many places this one could have been and my GPS had me on lower ground but upon reading past logs I was quickly in a different spot. It was pretty soon after i had CIH [^]

Another find in our second roadtrip from the Southern Highlands of NSW to Gawler in SA and back, to represent NSW at the Inline Hockey National Championships. Last year on the same trip I had GeoDaughter in tow - this time GeoSon was along for the ride. Sadly the hockey was not as successful as last year and we returned with no medals, but it was still a great trip. We made 63 finds in total including 8 ECs, 7 virtuals and a lot of high-FP and otherwise notable finds. Nationals moves to QLD next year so I don't know when I will be back in SA next, but thanks to the COs for their caches! This took a few minutes to track down, possibly because of all the iron stone in the area. We were distracted by some very odd red herrings across the track but soon made the find on higher ground. TFTC!
First cache of the day that was found with goingplaces2. All was good with the container and log. Both names were added, all was replaced as found and we went on our way. TFTC.
We are slowly heading towards home and picking up some more caches each day with ilook4geo. The days are more travel than caching but we manage to collect enough to keep the score ticking over. There were no problems in locating each selected cache, all logs had enough room for more names and all containers were on good order. Thanks go to doggybom101 for placing this cache.
After a few days in Adelaide we are on our way up the Barossa for a few more, caching on the way. This one took way longer than it should have, our co-ords were pointing somewhere else and there were so many hint items around that we checked without luck. Then we read previous logs and had an AHA moment, so we got there in the end. Another find for Mr S. All the time the alpaca's or are they llama's were watching us. Nosy buggers.
Thanks doggybom101 and greetings from New Zealand.

On a girls weekend away at the Barossa to celebrate hevwalkers birthday. A group of us enjoyed stopping off at cellar doors, a chocolate factory, took in a couple of scenic look outs and threw in a spot of caching along the way.
Visited some lovely places around the back roads and fortunate to have a day of sunshine
Left the 3 muggles back at the Gin Distillery... followed the track and cache was quickly located

3 the group were muggles so dropped them at the nearby Gin distillery...
LiB and I collected the 4 nearby caches before picking them up...
They missed some wonderful views from up the hill...
Walked up to the cache and found it quickly...

Out and about with Mark and mogni when we did this cache. Aussie Mary had been here before, by herself but was unwilling to park the car on the road and search by herself. Nowhere to go if another vehicle comes along. With a driver and 2 searchers this cache was found easily and we didn't block the road for too long.

Found at 2:25 PM GAFF3 - not that the hint helped to any extent.
So many places to look and we didn't even know which side of the track to look in or was it up or was it down? Eventually at a distance of 8 metres c-pprass locates the cache. And I go - what! all the way over there!
We did though enjoy the views from up here - especially the palm lined road down below.
Thanks mopoke.

We bought the Barossa Butcher, Baker, Winemaker trail and paired it with geocaching for one of the best days out we have had in ages. Getting caches we have missed before, new caches, local produce, enjoying a picnic and wine. The family all tired now but we cant wait to do it again. TFTC.
We were looking at the wrong rocks! Took us a little while. The views here are lovely on a cool but clear autumn day. Did some nice wine tasting at a few of the smaller wineries. Didn't get much geocaching done after that!! TFTC
