Out on day trip from Ballarat and this was my only DNF. Gave it a good search, but alas it was too good for me today. Being new to Ballarat, this was my first trip down this way, but no doubt I'll be back to try again one day.
Thanks anyway lionjrb.....

Up to Ballarat for the weekend to see Mr Dromaniax's parents.
On the way, we made a short detour into Enfield forest with the idea of picking up a cache and enjoying some of the beautiful bush.
We took a pointer from the cache name, got the Jetboil out, and had a nice steaming cup of tea before we jumped out of the geomobile A'Tuin to look for a cache.
We waited a little while for the GPS to settle, we always have an issue around this area and today was no exception.
With the GPS settled, we soon found the cache and found it to be in great condition.
Thank you, lionjrb, for this Traditional cache in this beautiful area.

A weekend road trip to the Ballarat area, incorporating an event, a cito, a couple of solved puzzles and exploring Enfield Forest.
Returned here after the cito to realise there was this trad right here.
Thanks for bringing us here today by placing this cache, lionjrb

Find #2758 for me. Found at 12:02 pm with my dog Bonnie after the event and CITO which were literally only metres away from GZ. I couldn't possibly leave without finding the cache here, so thanks for this placement lionjrb, and it was really nice to meet you at the event!
*Found on the 19 Mar 2022 @ 10:28 am.*
*Cache find # 12597.*
Well this one was too close to the 2 events not too find and the thing was that the logbook was already out to sign, so how could I not, so I did.
**Thanks to lionjrb for placing this cache.**

It was great to be back in the area caching and catching up with my buddy Rebel Acts.
I had planned on being here for a few days but unfortunately, work got in the way again, so made the most of a sunny Sunday.
So many new caches online around Ballarat and Creswick since the last time I was up this way, and it's awesome to see some lab caches here as well.
This is one of the caches that I found on the day, cheers for the cache and the opportunity for a smile on the map.

Some good friends had decided to head to Ballarat for a few weeks so I decided I needed a break and joined them, we had a great time out caching as well as sharing stories and laughs around a meal or two. I really love the area of Ballarat there is so much history and I am sure it has the largest population of Oak trees in the Country.
This is one of the caches found today.
Some caches logged as RASP rebel acts &Ski pair.

With work encouraging us to take some holidays and Mr SKI having quite a few weeks up his sleeve it was time to take another short break and do some sightseeing and caching in parts of Victoria we seldom visit.
This time we decided it would be Ballarat. There is a wide variety of cache types and quite a number of Adventure Labs to do, so the area is quite attractive. And that doesn't include the historical and interest aspects as well.
We organized to meet up with some friends while there so we would have the opportunity to do some joint as well as solo caching.
We have already had some great adventures on a few challenging caches that generated a lot of fun and as usual always good to find some pre-solved puzzles.
All logs signed as SKI Pair, RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair or SP depending on size of logs and availability of space.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache lionjrb.

Stopped for a quick break. So peaceful with kookas and the smell of eucalyptus. Gorgeous place to rest up and maybe have a spot of tennis . Thanks for bringing me here lionjrb
Day #13 of the Birthday Bush Bonanza. I arrived in at Smythesdale late last night, rolled out the swag and settled in for a well earned rest. The plan today is for a slow journey back to Melbourne. The series of challenge caches and maybe some rail trail is all that is on the list so far.
A quick find while completing the adventure lab.
Thanks lionjrb for the cache and for contributing to the game.

TFTC!!! Great little picnic spot, funny never knew it was here, we always use the old one just up the road. Silly us!
Arrived to drop of a bag of rubbish in a SKIP after CITO.
Then find it with two other cachers

After the morning CITO and lunchtime Celebration event in Napoleons, Chook joined forces with Geoturtle37 and Papi4506 to find some more caches in the Enfield State Forest, before rushing back to attend this second CITO of the day. After finishing picking up lots of rubbish along the roadside, this cache was found before heading off for more adventures. TFTC lionjrb.
Out with bogonghazy today to what we thought would be a cooler place to cache. NO!!!! Just as hot here as in the Marsh.
Cache was out in the open, so we tucked it back into it's hiding place. Thanks lionjrb

I was heading home from Torquay in a roundabout way, and found myself in need of a stop in the little room. Fortunately for me there was a cache nearby, adding a pretty little smilie to my map! TFTC
This was our last day of holidays today and we are in Ballarat mainly focusing on multi's for a challenge we are after but also grabbing any others nearby.
We are now heading down to do the Enfield Labs and try our luck with the nearby caches there.
We pulled up here quite confident but that was soon shaken out of us. We searched in the most logical locations where the GPSr was pointing but kept coming up empty handed. We were about to call it a dnf when Diane searched in a spot that I was sure that I had already looked in and sure enough she had the cache in hand and the log book now contains our name.
Unfortunately I don't think I will be hearing the end of this for a long time.
Thanks lionjrb for the cache.

After doing the Adventure Lab in Rokewood and grabbing some lunch between locations, we gave up on any other caching there as the rain came in. This picnic park cache appeared on the road ahead so we stopped for a look. Not a fun place for a picnic today as the trees were all dripping water and the seats and tables were wet! Our GPSRS would not settle, but eventually we stumbled upon the sneaky hiding spot. SL at 1.07 pm Left: donut #7573 TFTC lionjrb
Miss ten was quite excited when she found this one as her siblings usually beat her too it! Gorgeous spot for a stop on our way to Ballarat.
We also walked over, around and pass this several times. We are putting it down to being our first ever cache.
Was the perfect start to get us in to the world that is.. geocaching.

What an absolutely lovely place. It is all clean with a seemingly new BBQ and the structures in the park are well made. A nice easy cache found quickly by nannynomad - almost a drive by

Fun, adventure, travel, history, geology, mental stimulation, social gatherings, support and friendship are just some of the elements of geocaching.
Out and about enjoying the opportunity to grab a few caches, yours being one of those I targeted on my journey today. Thanks ??

Was with the group that replaced this cache. Thank you for placing it in the first place.
After attending the nearby CITO, a convoy of us followed to help unload the rubbish collected.
Someone checked and yes, there was a cache here. We all searched and searched. No luck. We had a number of previous finders with us and yet still no luck.
Someone sourced a replacement, we all signed the new log and it was put back where previous finders remembered finding it.

After the CITO we had to empty the Ute out of all of the rubbish that we had picked up between us and it was here that the council will pick it up.
It was then noticed that there was a cache here so the search was on to locate it.
Quiet a few teams were involved in the search but we came up with nothing.
A cache was sourced, signed by everyone and placed back for the next finder to locate.
Thanks lionjrb TFTC.

With a CITO and a dinner event near Ballarat, I headed out this way for the afternoon. After the CITO, I headed out with Alansee for a few nearby caches before dinner.
There was already a large group of cachers here when we arrived, but they were unloading the bags of rubbish. Eventually most of us began our search, including some previous finders, but there was no sign of the cache. After many minutes of searching, a replacement cache was conjured up and our names added to the included log sheet.
My thanks to lionjrb for placing the cache.

TFTC.After the nearby CITO a large group made our way here to unload the rubbish collected . Spotted that there was a cache here so a group search was made to no avail. A cache container was found and log signed by all attending. Rehidden for the next finder.
After a day spent on the BSRT trail from Ballarat to Smythesdale with Crack'n'LeeLee followed by a nearby CITO, the rubbuish was dropped off here for the council to collect and a cache find.

Found. After the CITO nearby MazzyMay and I decided to look for some caches before the dinner event. We stopped here where she had found a cache before, only to find that this was where our collected rubbish was being dropped off. With a large group we searched to no avail, so a replacement was found and we signed the log then hid it for the next people to find. TFTC
I was one of the many and it soon became obvious that the cache had dissappeared. A nice replacement was put there.
Found this cache on my first day out in Ballarat for this trip. The day wasn't a good for geocaching day, but I pressed on as geocachers do. At this find I got 2 for the price of 1 Bothe cache were exposed in plan sight and the weather. I picked the 1 that was least affected by the weather and sign the log which wet but it was a RITR type, dry it out a much as I could on a rainy day. and re hid it in sheltered spot at the GZ, (Old toilet seat I think), The other I took with me to repair. May be the CO can check on it. TFTC.
After attending the nearby event it was a quick walk over to GZ to find this cache. All good here.
Thanks for another cache in a lovely spot lionjrb

Stopped here for a break and search for the cache of course. Relatively quick find.
What a great little place for a picnic and a cache. Today there was no-one else and we were able to scratch around and find the cache. SL TFTC

Out and about exploring the area with Neavesie, a quick park and grab on our way back into town. Tftc
Found cache out in the clearing. Lid brittle and broken and pieces of it found in a broad area. Needs replacing. Contents full of water. Did not even attempt to sign log. As I use a phone for caching I cannot guarantee that I have returned it to the original position but it is now safely tucked away hopefully close to the coordinates. TFTC
A strange occurrence with the GPS losing contact with all satellites as I pulled up to this one. without being sure of being any closer than 30 metres it made the hunt a little too hard.
In the area and used the said facilities and found the cache.
