It’s time to archive as it’s been muggled too many times

Today, it was an opportunity to visit Bribie Island, and then geocache from Sandstone Point to Beachmere. I started the morning with a kayak with Snickersallan in Bribie Island's westerly passage, where we visited the Avon wreck. I then took a walk around Godwin Beach Environmental Reserve conducting some tree fishing, before grabbing lunch and heading to Beachmere's event. It was a nice occasion to drive around the area, and then with remaining available time, it was a short visit nearby to Caboolture Airport, followed by North Harbour Heritage Park, completing *Morayfield Heritage* Adventure Lab. I ended the day attending the *6th Annual Yuletide on the Northside* event in Pine Rivers Park.

After walking along the foot track, I arrived at GZ and spotted the obvious hinted object. However, after searching around there and under, no cache was spotted. Perhaps this cache may have been washed away with recent rains? Thanks anyway Beckster22 for the cache placement.

18-Dec-21
A pleasant walk but no smilie. Realising the hint could move I moved it. Nothing there. Oh well. I’ll come back another day.

13-Dec-21
Started or house sit today, so of course, we have to get to know the area, obviously caching is the best tour of town

This trad was on our radar, and as we had already driving the area twice, thought, well, what is another minutes lost.... Well, if only we had realised how close we were at the last cache, and had Mr D been up to it, we could have walked. But we didn't, driving as close as 170 metres only to find newly built mansions in our way.

May be another day. Thanks Beckster22 for the maze of roads

14-Mar-20
Not here for me

24-Feb-20
I had a pretty good idea what I was looking for but no luck. The tide was very high and I couldn’t go any further without going for a swim. I hope the cache hasn’t swam away in all of that water.

24-Feb-20
I checked today, minor floodings could have taken the container and the "hiding element". Definitely needs replacing.

Mr Beetle waited with the van while I made the short walk to this one.
After a short unsuccessful search I had to think a bit like a cacher here and then the creature was soon found.
Hardest part of this one was getting the log sheet out.
Thanks and a favourite point from us.

Parked at the end of road somewhere and set along for a walk along the track which soon turned into a footpath. We passed a muggle family exploring asking us if there was anything the way we had come from... umm, some houses?? They were soon wandering back in the direction they had come. We waited for them to pass before we closely examined the stump in question which did stand out like a sore thumb amongst the mangroves.
We looked in a few little hollows but it wasn't until J went for the drastic measure of acting strong like the incredible hulk and we saw something lurking under....Surprised
It was creepy, probably not its original colour - now totally blending in to the black mud. We poked it with a stick first and with no reaction, tentatively brought it closer and found the cache in its jaws. Cool

Now this was certainly an interesting cache. Arrived at so called GZ and only one stump within cooee so I examined it and had to use my grey matter to decide where else I should look. Maybe here, no there or there, so I'll try something and it worked. Now do you expect me to touch that when I'm not sure about it, maybe and yes I eventually had a cache in my hand. Signed the log and now replace it, I'll try and everything is all good so now its ready for the next finder. TFTC

There was a muggle walking a dog and some kids swimming in the canal but no one paid us much attention.

10/2/18, 5:21 pm Find #1438
A short journey past some local children playing in the water on a hot summer's day had Wombles&Co and I arriving at GZ to make a quick find of more than one creature. After disturbing the cache, GZ swarmed with ants, thankfully only the small black variety, so no need for any ant dance at least here today. As we were signing it a man walked past with his dog, the same man we had seen acting suspiciously out at the street near the little green power box, so upon leaving we decided to check and see if maybe he was placing a new cache.... turns out....
He was most likely just picking up his dog's poo! Oops, oh well points for trying Razz
Thanks for the cache Beckster22.

Found the one up the path and continued down to this one before finishing our little afternoon tour of Beachmere and returning to Bribie. Well concealed cache, and found the tether before the container. Log was a bit damp, thanks for some interesting caches Beckstar22.

03-Dec-17
This one was almost fully emerged from its hiding place and out in the open -
so put back just a little bit further back so muggles can't spot him on arrival.

11-Nov-17
Came out for a drive to gather some numbers before a major event next week. It was a beautiful day for caching with the shining sun. Stopped for a fish and chip lunch along beach.
