Sorry I took so long to check this cache, somehow it got overlooked.Have just been to check & it has gone. The area has been altered since it was placed,i imagine as it is an evacuation walkway in the case of a tsunami & it doesn't lend itself to a replacement as it was.
DNF. Not sure if it's just us or since this cache hasn't been found since July. Will try again another time
Out doing some night caching. Probably not the best place to be flashing around a torch. But fortunately it was found quickly. Nice use of recycling. Tftc
Enjoyed a day of caching around Papamoa. So many parks, walkways and plenty of beach to walk on. Managed 25 caches so will need to return for the others. TFTC
Teamed up with Merlot58 and Aiden29 to form team JAM. Parked close and Mrsjag50 managed to walk straight up to it.
Headed to Tauranga for a long weekend of caching with Merlot58 and Jag50. A short walk to GZ abd Mrs Jag quickly had the cache in hand. Very clever concealment.
We managed to park up close by and Mrs Jag walked straight up to the cache thanks to the good hint
Took a walk down here to look for this one, quiet neighbourhood and at least one neighbour took a look at us with a bit of curiousity - fortunately Albert the geohound was very good cover as we took him for a walk. Got to GZ and at first thought it might have been a different object but then the coords resolved themselves a bit more and it was apparent we were probably looking in the wrong place. Adjusted our hunting spot and found the cache. Found something similar once in Kerikeri that was also tricky and clever but helped to spot this one. Nice one, all good here and thanks for the cache.
I've always wondered of this type of camo would work. Almost completely overlooked this one. Haha. Nice work. Favourite point for sure!
Now the hint makes sense. Great camo! Hmm house next door has a sign that says 24 hour CCTV in operation but didn't see a camera. Tftc
Bit concerned after all the rain we have had that the cache would be buried under lots of soaking wet debris, but was alright and quite easy to find
Neat idea, haven't seen that done before. We were looking for something smaller. Partner is 6ft 6 so felt a bit dodgy by the fence line of people's houses but found fairly quickly thankfully. TFTC
What a great idea !
Thanks kennyclan...never seen any like this in Auckland !
A lot of work I imagine.

Done, and dusted. been at the mount visiting parents for the weekend, and decided to get up early this Sunday morning and find some caches! Ok, so maybe 5 am caching is kind of early, but there isn't anyone around.... So I jumped in the car and headed down to Papamoa, promising myself I'd stop when it hit breakfast time
HEading down this road, and then wondering between the houses - I started to wonder if I was going to get Barked at, and wake up the neighbourhood! Luckily the dogs were asleep too, as I wondered towards the bridge. Realising my mistake I headed for GZ, and quickly saw the item in question.
You get a favourite point from me for the effort that has gone into making this cache. Very cool!

Walked down one side of drainage first and had to backtrack. That was a brilliant cache...favorite from me. Thanks
Day #16 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
Today, at first, I spent some time in beautiful Rotorua to visit some high-grade, handsome caches and to explore the scenic areas of the town . Later the pleasant trip with fair weather took me further up north via the scenic area of Ngongataha to Mount Manganui .
This was by far the most scenic and moving day during my vacation so far! [:X] Sunshine, beautiful scenery and stunning nature-walks and views [:X] [^]
My heart was jumping! [8].... That's why I love this country! [:X]
Of course there were some cool treasures hidden along the walk- and drive-route, that I loved to pick up .
Ended up with 17 finds , including a great earth-cache [^], a breath-taking virtual [:X] [^], two cool challenges , a field-puzzle mystery and several handsome traditional caches at the side of the road . Cool!
This was a quick and easy find , based on the precise hint ! I really liked the funny cache container [^]! This interpretation of CITO is great .
Hey - owners in Rotorua, way up North and Mount Manganui - you have cool caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .

A very clever hide and very well executed. Even with cache in hand I wasn't certain until it opened. TFTC. Definitely worth a favourite.
2490 Today I am in Papamoa but the sunny weather has deserted me. Picked up and looked at it before realizing I had made the find.
Found it but did not realised I had at first. sat down re read the hint. all the while staring at the cache I had in front of me. then that "dooof" moment. Opened it, signed it and put it back.
Picked up the cache without knowing thought it was rather heavy very confused place it back and tried to open and bingo!!! Great cache deserves a favourite point!
Had this one on the list for months so glad to tick it off with help from Jackson3118 helpers. TFTC

There is a nice little clump of caches heareabouts that would give me a bit of exercise, like 8.1 kms. A nice little walk signing off a few caches as well.
I found the logbook lying on the ground by itself. No sign of the container. So put the logbook in a solar light but this is not waterproof.
Cheers for the cache.

Out for the afternoon with Tiga and CeeVee after a family event. Tiga and I signed with our joint monogram of TT2M.P
Had been here before without success but this time after wading through the litter (maybe thrown out by neighbours over the fence) I followed the clue and had it in my hands in quick-smart time.
Signed and returned to its spot.

On a caching afternoon with tigatat2 & My Precious. I must have been lagging behind, by the time I arrived at G.Z. My Precious had cache in hand. Loved the camo. Very well thought of. Cheers.
After a family lunch, Cee Vee, My.Precious and I thought that what ever we had planned for the afternoon could wait til another day. It was caching time.
M.P and I failed to find this previously but now after discovering it today maybe I had found the container but discarded it thinking it was just another piece of the environment. Clever camo, TFTC.

Well impressed with the camo! A lot of thought and effort put into it. TFTC
In light of an email from the last cacher have just been down to check. His comment was very valid so have put things right. In place, dry, clean & good to go.
What an awesome camouflage! I actually picked it up right at the start and then tossed it away without realising! I hunted for ages afterward, looking for something else!
Think I know why there were a couple of DNF's for this one...went with someone who has found it previously who had a look after I couldn't find anything and said it's no longer here. However just as we were leaving we spotted something about 10 metres from where it was supposed to be...looks as if it had been thrown by someone. Signed the log and replaced it in its original location and covered with heaps of fallen leaves. Awesome camo and gets a favourite from me. Thanks for the cache!
Out for the afternoon caching with Tigatat2 on a lovely sunny holiday Monday.
Went for a walk along this tsunami escape route, thankful that I don't live in this area come a disaster.
No luck at GZ this time even though we put in a good search. Maybe it absconded with the hedgehog or was swapped for rubbish that's been left in the area.

Out caching with My.Precious. we had a good nosey around GZ. No find.
It disappoints me that people can just throw rubbish and green waste over their fence and think nothing more about it, end of rant.

Clever camo. The area could do with a CITO. We usually do our bit, but the rubbish was a bit big for us today.
Out for a walk locating a few local caches - was a dampish day so the grass was pretty wet and long! but finding the cache made up for that! What a great find - almost tossed it aside. tftc
A couple of spare hours this afternoon so Apache D and I came over the hill to clean up the papamoa area as we had to many Green boxes in this area.
This cache gets our favorite point for today a well camouflaged cache.

Have just been down to check & the issue seems to have gone away but the cache went as well.Replacement now in place & good to go.
Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 today and headed down to Papamoa and Mount Maunganui for a long day of caching. We arrived in Papamoa early in the morning and then spent the rest of this hot summers day making our way to The Mount and finding what caches we could along the way. Soon spotted this nicely made cache at GZ - the neighbours cat poked his head through the fence door as we were signing the log. Cool cache - favourite point added! TFTC!

Vistra and I had decided to go for a full on day and head down to Papamoa / Mount Maunganui to see if we could get some numbers and quick drive bys.
Nice quick find, very clever hide. Very expensive bridge built that leads from no where to no where. TFTC

Doing a 50 day streak with the South East Auckland Crew this is day 31. Nice quick and easy to find signed and replaced. Tftc
First cache, was looking around for a bit but it was right in front of us the whole time. Super clever and just logged.
The family is away today so time for me to grab some more of those local caches. This is the second time looking for this one. this time it was a quick find. love the camo. TFTC

Out for a cool little bike ride this afternoon and netted us a few more smileys. Very clever tftc.
This was one of more than fifty Geocaches I found today in the company of HKB and 11hpg11. We signed the logs HI1, an anachronism of our handles to save on log space. We travelled over to the Mount and Papamoa from Hamilton, leaving at the end of the All Black/ South Africa test at about 5am and didn’t roll back into Hamilton until after 8pm. It was a long day, and the weather wasn’t the best but that didn’t stop us from having a great time exploring the area and enjoying the wide variety of high quality hides.
My two companions let me search through a pile of rubbish while they were signing the log. I eventually clicked they had found the cache and was impressed with the container which I'm sure would fool a few people.

Out on a numbers mission with HKCB and Iammrwalker to clear out some of the caches in Tauranga/Papamoa area. We left Hamilton at 5am and had a full day of caches, a few DNFs, a refreshing swim in a pond and a whole lot of laughs. We signed logs as 'HI1' as an acronym for our caching names to save log space. Thanks to all the cache owners for the great variety of caches, puzzles and location
I was fully prepared to go into the water but luckily realised there was no need too. We all hunted around and eventually the very clever cache was found! A very cool camo job worthy of a fav point.

Out for a numbers mission in and around The Mount and Papamoa with 11HPG11 and iammrwalker today. With a very early start of 5am agreed on, it was going to be a long day compounded by the All Blacks playing before we left which meant a 3am alarm being set the night before. We all had a great time and a lot of laughs were had in between some frustrating hides, a really enjoyable multi and a couple of great field puzzles. All in all a very successful day with only a handful of DNF's, the weather keeping at bay for most of the day and 86 new smiles added to the map in a little under 13 hours of caching. We signed the cache log "Hi 1" an acronym of our caching names. A big thanks to all the cache owners for placing some great caches.
Some joking was bounced around about who would be jumping/swimming to the cache if it was on the other side, luckily for whoever that was that we were on the right side. Didn't really understand the clue until we found the awesome cache container. First time I've seen something like that, worth a fav point for the great camo job.

Out for my cache of the day and had to go for one after work, luckily I was out of work at 8 as been pretty sick last couple of days so really just wanted to get home but dont want to let this streak slip. This was one of the closest unfound ones to my work so went for a little drive down to paps then a walk. Took about 5 mins of searching pretty well hiden untill came in at the right angle and the torch reflected something back. Awesome cache really enjoyed this one great camo! Earns a fav point from me as first one like this I have come across. Thanks Kennyclan for another awesome cache would hate to see the whole of paps trying to get over this bridge tho. TFTC and for helping with keeping this streak going
Our closest to home unfound cache so it was very overdue for a visit. Cache soon located and by coincidence we were given a cache exactly the same which we have yet to place. On the way back to the car geopup thought it would be fun to dive into the stinky stagnant water so she's now heading home for a bath. Thanks for the adventure TFTC.
I can see why this has been awarded a few favourites. I have not seen this type before. TFTC and the helpful hint.
Whoa that was hard. Hint definitely needed. Just about gave up until found something heavy. Great cache. Great idea
Pretty tough find, took us a while. And it's not your typical container. Pretty tricky.
Very well hidden and even when we found it, we weren't sure it was the clue! The hint was very helpful
#318 - Biked around a Papamoa getting all the caches i haven't got yet. This was my 2nd trip here was determined to find this it this time! Hunted for a bit then it caught my eye, glad i read the hint so knew what to do. You are very clever making this.
TFTC a fav from me!
