Logs
3 hours of exploring the toys and cars at the museum, then to top it all off with the cache. TFTC!
It's day seven of my 3-week bucket list road trip around South Island, and after heading over Arthurs Pass and down the West Coast, I'm now based in Wanaka for a couple of days.I stopped by the transport museum this morning and before doing anything else, wandered over the road and made a straightforward find here ... a nicely themed cache, well done! Thanks for placing this cache here for our enjoyment.
Found this one with TTO1 and TTO2 today. TTO1 and I are touring New Zealand with TTO2 for a couple of weeks and our travels brought us by this cache. So, we just had to stop and find it. Were really enjoying our visit and have been exploring lots of cool spots. Im sure that we will still have a lot that we didnt get to see on this trip, so I look forward to coming back again some time to see some more of this beautiful country. Thanks for the fun!
Certainly a fun looking spot nearby! Unfortunately, I didnt have the time to stop in today. The cache was quickly located and I loved the outer container. My name is now in the log and the cache is back well concealed as found. Thanks for placing the cache here!
Came to drop off some family and do some plane photography. A quick find at the cache location and what a cool container!Logbook signed at 10:11 Saturday, 27th April. Cache number 342, TFTC!
Found relatively easily. BIG container for swaps, yet nobody has left a thing. So sad. We added 3-4 swaps to keep things going :/
Just getting around to logging the caches I found while visiting New Zealand from the U.S. with LaFavorite Cacher. We had a great time traveling around the country seeing the sights and picking up some caches along the way.We were sad to be too late to visit inside. Thank you for being a part of our adventures!Note: LaFavorite Cacher has sent in the answers for any earthcaches or virtuals required for both of us.
GeoJayne and I made our way from Lake Tekapo to Mt Cook and then on to Wanaka. It was a beautiful, sunshiny day. We didn't get as early a start as we would have liked because I hoped to see a sunrise. Nope. No luck there. That meant we made our way to the Hooker Valley Track later than we would have liked so we spent time with hundreds of new friends! LOLAfter completing the hike, we made our way to Wnaka. We stopped for several caches along the way. I may or may not have missed at least one sight we wanted to take in, but I am going to use my exhaustion as an excuse. When I read about this one, I thought it would be near the Puzzle Museum. I was wrong, but the location was great and we loved the cache container. Dropping a favorite point. Thank you for the smiley and the fun!
My husband and i are on holidays from BrisbAne Australia and travelling around the south island for 2 weeks. Today we travelled from Wanaka to Queenstown and stopped to pick up a few smileys along the way. This was a very cute cache and easy to spot. Just had to watch for that branch that looks like it might fall anytime. Thanks Guzzi Riders for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
Thanks that was a cool one. Careful though, be wary of dangerous large broken branch dangling nearby- didnt spot that til after
Noticed a large broken branch hanging right by the cache that could be pretty dangerous
Quick find on our Wanaka travels. Heading back down to Cromwell, always time for another find. Great container. TFTC
Thanks Guzzi Riders for the cache. Its #1774 for us. We found your cache on 12 November 2023. What an amazingly ng geocache! Top marks to the CO. FP from us today
1MinnieMoo and I pulled up for this one next - thankfully there was some good parking. After a bit of a cursory look we can up with the beast. A great little place for a cache. TFTC Guzzi Riders
23/9/2023 Find #6590Day 15 of the Fangsoki/1MinnieMoo New Zealand South Island adventure. We were supposed to head from Queenstown to Haast and Franz Josef today however the pass was closed, so we headed up to Wanaka and then across to Christchurch for the night. To break up the drive a little, we stopped at just a couple of caches on the way. This was the first. The cache was quickly found, however the poor thing has been beaten about a bit over the years so the lid isnt exactly secured. There was no logbook, so we added an emergency one from my supplies. Thanks for the cache Guzzi Riders.
Found easily as it was left in the open...great container. Covered completely when returned TFTC
What a fantastic place to visit ( wānaka and the toy world across the road) if you’re in town would highly recommend visiting. Thanks for the cache
Easy to find but super cute cache! Description is very apt! We picked up some rubbish TFTC!
Band Road Trip to Haast with AlpiSteve. The lads wanted to stop and stretch their legs so of course I made sure it was near a cache nice quick find here but avoided standing under the tree branch above which was just kind of hanging there!!! Cool container TFTC
A quick find today with no-one around. Nice creative hide, showing its age a bit now though. Unfortunately we didnt have time to visit the big toys across the road today, maybe another time. TFTC Guzzi Riders.
Quick find while taking a break from checking out the nearby museum. The log book is nearly full. TFTC!
Yay! TFTC! Came all the way from Vancouver BC Canada to find this cache, Thanks for being part of the adventure!!
Today I drove from Wanaka to Aoraki. To make the drive a bit more exciting I stopped here and was able to log the cache. Thank you.
Together with geosnuf, we are making a very nice car tour through NZ. First we visit the South Island, then the North. Some cities on the South Island that are on the program to visit are: Manapouri and Wanaka.
Besides enjoying the beautiful landscape and the friendly people, we combine our vacation with looking for geocaches. This one is one of them.
Thanks to all cache owners for the work you put into creating, placing and maintaining the caches. We often come to very beautiful places through your caches.
Thanks and cheers from NL
We enjoyed our stay in Wanaka!

After spending hours in the museum, we decided to see if there was a cache close by. Found this one quickly with Panda Dundee. TFTC
Grabbed this cache after exploring the toy/car museum across the road. Huge collection of stuff, something for everyone in there! Found with Minergal TFTC
A nice straightforward cache & dash. Loved the very apt container here. Thanks for placing this one.
I've been tempted to do this for years, but thought it would be too hard given the exposure to Crossfire and the road. Gave it a go and a quick find. Love the container!
Greetings from the Czech Republic and Thanks For This Cache.

Hi there Guzzi Riders. A quiet day today (Anzac Day) in Wanaka, so we had a slow start before heading out - first for a couple of caches, then for a little shopping for the week. We found this cache at around 3:07:00 PM - TN, LN, SL. Thanks to Guzzi Riders for this cache - our find 9698 and the 1st of 2 finds for the day.
FieldNotes: The cache and log were both found in good condition.

Can’t believe I nearly missed this cache. Failed in my first and second sweeps. So blind.
On my way home and getting a few caches on the way. all good with the cache. Thanks
