What a crazy day
When I kissed the teacher
All my sense had flown away
Well after this find I hoped my geo senses were not going to fly away.
Big day planned to tackle the Baw Baw trails.

Thought we’d take a drive up here to do a big of Geocaching, however didn’t plan very well and brought Coco with us, not realizing that this was a national park and no dogs allowed. So did one sneaky one

We got this one pretty quickly - must have been getting our mojo back after some dnfs
Found 9:33 am
A last minute decision was hatch to take the day and return to one of my favourite areas. The focus today was to tackle the remaining unfound caches on the mountain.
Now that was a quick find which was a nice change. Great conditions here on the mountain today. Finally hoping to complete the WAB WAB series.

After a weekend of camping and then a caching event on the great alpine trail, it was time to start heading home. Perhaps via Baw Baw or some other diversion to make a long journey home even longer .
A nice quick find here. I suspect this is when the teachers are shouting “We are almost there now SIT DOWN”.
Thanks ahomburg for placing this gamepiece in the wild for us to find.

Well, this one was appropriately found by the teacher in our family, and a timely reminder to renew his VIT reg in the next few days TFTC
Chilly chilli with snow on the ground even though I was hoping post regional lockdown to beat the forecast change. Such is life but today’s mission which is focussed on the resident geodetic cairn is on - and this popped into my consciousness since once a teacher...always a ....dare I say it. Anyway, it’s great to be here and I had a purser day out. Remembered at one point Baw Baw was my first time in the snow learning to ski way back when the ‘nut cracker’ got u up the hill. Thanks for the cache Ba Luke, Belle Akelea and A Homburg
very camouflaged! only down side was it was very hard to take the notebook out because it was magnetic
One of my plans for the 2020-2021 summer was heading back up to Mt Baw Baw to finish off the WAB WAB Mystery cache. With Easter almost here and daylight saving about to end, I knew I had failed in my plan. But looking at the great weather for the week and start of Easter, had I failed?
Didn't even notice this sign driving up. As such I looked at every other metal object while heading this way.

Jebjeb, a pair of German geocachers, needed to get one more LGA to complete that challenge, which we had all signed last Saturday. The nearest achievable one to our home, where they have been our guests on Phillip Island, was Mt Baw Baw. So we headed up this way to look for geocaches to help them. I didn’t have any finds at this location either, so that made the destination more appealing. After several DNFs earlier in the day we were so pleased to find this cache. We refreshed the camouflage on the cache with what we had in the car and returned the cache to its hiding spot. Then we had to get a photograph of the (ex)teacher being kissed!
Well another nice quick find here.
Made it finally to Baw Baw Village.
Love summer, about the only time you can get a park virtually anywhere in a snow village.
Short walk to GZ, I looked and ther it was.

An event at Toorongo Falls got me closer to the mountain than I expected to be any time soon, so I took the opportunity.
The drive in is a nice workout... almost 40km of twists, turns, switchbacks, steep grades, and oh, so much fun. I have to admit I enjoyed the challenge and the views.
Even in midsummer, the weather can be interesting, and visibility was about 40 metres in the day carpark when I arrived. Perfect for a walk around to the summit and back.
In all, a little over ten klicks of walking while I collected clues to a mystery cache, logged a trig point and took photos for another challenge the mountain than I expected to be any time soon, so I took the opportunity.
Out the other end of this second loop, slightly smaller and less strenuous than the first. This was a cheeky hide indeed.
Thanks, BaLuke And BelleAkelea

Our last one for the mountain and very appropriate seeing half the team is a teacher. TFTC.
I don't fancy kissing some of the teachers I had! Anyway after parking nearby this was a quick find. TFTC
After attending an event in Walhalla, we decided` to make our way up to this area to pick up a few more caches. What an interesting story. So after we found somewhere to park the car, the search was on. And within no time the found was made. TFTC BaLuke and BelleAkelea
Found with FUF009.
Today we left Walhalla and headed to Mt Baw Baw.
We had to adjust our route because the GPS kept trying to take us down a dirt road that looked like it would end up needing a 4wd.
We found lots of caches along the way and heaps up Mt Baw Baw.
We were lucky with the weather and to have avoided the bushfires.
Thanks to all the COs for their caches. Tftc

A road trip with good friend sharkiefan. Plan was to go Walhalla for a couple of events and then up to the top of Mt Baw Baw before getting back to the City.
With the Mountain Climb (walk) behind us this one was a quick park n grab.
an interesting name for a parking area.

Great spot. Nice and easy. Was a great catch on our way home from mt baw baw. Thank you to the person who left it. Founf by the Forshaw family on 12/4/18
Found it! 2nd one today and the first was unsuccessful it feels so good to find one. Really easy find. Good luck getting the log book out. It i quite high up.
Interesting stories! The cache itself was identified with little help from me. Buhfuhguh had it all sorted almost before I finished locking up the BSmobile! Thanks BaLuke And BelleAkelea!
Ah what a day, another planned trip with Bendsinister up towards Mt Baw Baw, but also this time we aim to collect some unlove (even replacing an old nutcache cache) and also to pick up some of the Rockwiz series and the odd traditional along the way. So off we went meeting at Cranbourne for our journey for the day.
And after grabbing most of the caches we aimed to find for the day, only having one or two dnf's on the day as a whole we headed back home after dark decideding to taking the way home via moe to grab a couple puzzles that we both had been working on.
Anyways sorry for the generic log. But thanks for the cache and the lovely day out today.

I arrived at Mount Baw Baw with some rain floating around, but by the time I had found a few caches, the rain really started to fall, and so I had to sit tight in my car for a few hours until eventually it eased off a bit. Decided I could probably quickly duck out and grab this one, and fortunately I found it in the likely spot.

This weekend, the WF Waters Ski Lodge are celebrating their 50th year of operation, and so I was up at the lodge cooking up a nice big spit roast to feed the masses! After getting the spit going, we went for a walk along the beech trail and grabbed some caches.
We made the find on this cache on the way back up from mini mushy. I made sure i brought a teacher with me for this one, and she enjoyed both stories explaining the name of the corner, and I hope she enjoyed the kiss too!

The geo family had decided on a destination for a camping trip away for a few days and Seninis Campground was the destination. Some of these places we had never seen before so we were quite excited about exploring the area. The geo vehicle was packed full and we were off to enjoy some days off work and school. Thankfully today there was no blizzard but it was hot. Interesting stories about this corner. A quick find. Signed and replaced as found.
**Thanks for placing this trad cache baluke**
**Cache container and log in good order**

We decided to just pick up a few caches in the MT Baw Baw area as we were not able to do a comprehensive sweep of the area. This was a very quick and easy find in the only place it really could be hiding. All was done as required and we were soon on the move again. Thanks to baluke for this cache.
Visited this cache with new caching friends on a Family scouting weekend. No Snow so lots of caching done .
Very difficult to get out of container. You need small fingers for this one. TFTC.
Found very easily but the lid was open and as a result the logbook was thoroughly soaked. Didn't have a replacement sorry.
I came up here this weekend to finish my D/T combination, hopefully with Wab #7. On my way in this afternoon I gathered 8 caches in this series, including Da Money, Flat Tyres, Lichen, Old Lift, Mini Mushy, Kiss Teacher, Snow Chains and Between Rock and Hard Place.
Unfortunately this cache was full of water and the logbook ruined. I'm sorry I had nothing to replace it with or another mint tin on board. The only cache of the 29 in the series I did that had any maintenance issues.
The weather was cool but perfect and not a soul about this Friday afternoon.
Thanks baluke for this great series

Despite it being wet windy and misty we thought we could still grab a few good caches up on the mountain. We headed up the slopes first before and wind got stronger as it already had a chill to it despite being well rugged up. In the end with the conditions we dropped the multi and a few in he more open parts as the wet was causing a chill in the exposed windy parts. A few animals were spotted along the way including 6 Lyre Birds, various wallabies and numerous rabbits.
Now after completing the mystery and the top of the old down hill we did our third loop around the village and a short climb up one slope to test out the wind again. The cold seemed to get to the pen as it struggled to leave a good mark in the logs. We headed off via Venturas, Malteasser, Drops on the Rocks, Road to Know Where, Where's the Beech and Kiss the Teacher then back to the car to dry off and warmup before the drive back. TFTC.

We started the walk back up the road from the previous not so mushy cache, in the general direction of our lodgings for the night, and picking up a few more on the way.
Due to there being no traffic on the road at this time of the day, and the fact that we were on foot, we were able to quickly stop and swing in to this one.
A quick search in wrong spot completely took place before we cast our eyes heavenward to seek some guidance, and then we made a quick search in the right spot. Names signed and we were off at the speed of smell to the next one.
Thanks baluke for the cool cache.

Lots of muggles today. Gave up on two others nearby, one due to those hanging around buildings and the other due to sinking beyond my knees in snow. Had to find one today, and being a teacher this was appropriate. Quick find, and my first snow cache. Thanks for hiding something achievable when the place is covered in white stuff and littered with muggles.

Found after a trip to mt baw baw. Unlike the trip up, our lunch order and the looooong wait to leave our car park area this was a quick find. Tftc
Found while heading back to the village after walking down the Beech track.
I was initially searching for the usual baluke MO until I looked at the hint, then it was a quick find.

Today was another road trip day first to Mt Baw Baw and then to the east of Victoria and back to grab some caches for an LGA Challenge cache I am slowly working on. Headed out from home at 5:30 am so it was pretty chilly early on but after that it was great.
It was about 8.5 degrees when I arrived at 7:30 am which was about the same as Melbourne when I left home this morning. This was a nice easy find after driving up the road, I didn't see a single car all the way from Noojee.
Thanks baluke for the cache, the hunt and the fun.

I met the Geelong boys along the South Face Road for an awesome day of caching doing the WAB WAB series of caches on Mt. Baw Baw. Along with Jacko83, one half of The Tritonz and Jag2612 we biked, hiked and bush bashed (a little) our way around the absolutely fabulous terrain and scenery that is Mt. Baw Baw. I had never been there before and the views all around were spectacular. We couldn't have asked for better weather and it was in fact so warm that the asphalt in the car park was melting to our shoes.
We started at the bottom of the mountain and worked our way up the road to the carpark where we donned our bike helmets and mounted our bikes. From there we rode, and pushed our bikes up some steep inclines, over grassy 'fields' and even at one point carried them through some thick scrub land. During the whole day we only saw three other people so we pretty well had the mountain to ourselves.
Onto the caches, and the hides varied from quick finds to spending some time searching high and low but in the end we found all the caches that were available for us to find. What can I say, other than this is what caching is all about; awesome location, perfect weather, great company and fun, along with a fantastic series of caches to find. What better way to finish of the day with a nice cold beer in the bar with the boys with fantastic views out of the windows.
A big thanks to Baluke for the caches we found today.

One half of the tritonz had to work so the other half along with Jacko83, Jag2612 and Quasar3671 set out on a mission to do the Baw Baw series. We took our bikes along to help on the journey even though half the time we were pushing them up the steep hills or carrying them through bushes to take short cuts. We all had an awesome time with beautiful weather and great company. Its hard to imagine this place under snow, we will have to come back in winter just to check it out. Thanks baluke for placing this series in this amazing area.
Headed up here from Geelong at 5am with Jag2612 and Tritonz, and met Quasar3671 on the way. Bikes packed, eski's and sunscreen.
Hd a ball up here today on Mt Baw Baw doing this caches - what a great place to visit. No snow this time of year, and bitchumen in carpark so hot it melted out shoes! Fantastic day with no dnfs. All caches were in good nick, some tricker than others.
Thanks baluke for taking me caching in a great part of Victoria - memorable! And thanks lads for a great day!

Find #1848
Today I headed to Mount Baw Baw with Stemicmitsar with the intention of finding caches that would help me qualify for the "Lonely Cache" challenge and both of us qualify for the "Significant Hike" challenge.
We were now on our way home but our journey proper couldn't begin while there were still a couple of caches on the mountain to find.
This was possibly the quickest and easiest find of the day and for that I was grateful because I was knackered.

Today I headed up to Mt. Baw Baw with biggles1024 to find a few caches that will help us complete some challengers that we have been working on.
We were back in the car and heading back down the mountain but before we could leave there were a couple more to find, this was one of them.
We parked the car and started heading over to this one, Mark was a few metres in front of me and had found the cache before I arrived, just.
