Out caching around Kuitpo forest and Prospect hill today. An enjoyable ride around to pick up the Animal Facts caches on this side of the forest. Some took a bit longer to spot than others, but found them all in the end. Only a couple had wet logbooks, otherwise all were in good knick. Cheers.Find #6477 on 29 Dec 2023.TFTC LB!SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - Feb 29th, 2024. Keep the date free!
Found with the lid off and container full of water. Emptied out the water and rehid with the lid on. Beautiful area! TFTC
Well we did two more to make even numbers. Easy drive by this one. 50 metres from the gate. Thanks Lib
Last cache of the morning for us before walking over the road and back to the cachemobile. A quick find at accurate coordinates and a nice big cache well stocked, great morning's walk with just one dnf.----SL----TNLN-----TFTC
I was started to get a bit leggy at this point and could feel my knee starting to play up. I clearly need to go for more walks! This cache hadn't been logged for a while so I was a little worried that it might have gone missing, though I should not have been worried - it was there and nicely tucked away. Cute container. After a big day out kayaking yesterday, I needed to give my arms and shoulders a rest so dime bush walking was on the cards today.
I had a very enjoyable day predominately bush walking and Geocaching around the Kuitpo Forest. I spotted kangaroos, a koala and an abundance of butterflies. Some GZs were amongst high “snakey looking “ grass, I am happy to report no snake encounters today.
I did suffer a couple of DNFs but still had a great day and got lots of exercise.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

After a morning brunch event in the heart of Mt. Barker, I’ve decided to stay in the area and chip away a few more of all these animals. The area used for this part of this huge series is currently very soggy, and I was on limited time, so no big numbers today. All caches found were in good condition. I’d love to know what the total count on this series is - a question for the next event maybe. Thanks LíB.
Camping at Mt Compass for Easter we had a late start today messing about in camp before heading out at lunch time. We decided to attempt a few caches we had missed whilst driving around over the last week. Also to revisit some and attempt to convert to

Day 432 ( Tuesday 3rd ) of our trip. Caching along the way, in Meadows today. Off to tackle some of the caches in forest. TFTC
Today, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I headed to Kuitpo with our mountain bikes to ride the Kuitpo / Prospect Hill trails. For a warm-up, we first stopped off at the northern-eastern side of the vicinity around Choorkaloo Camp Site to find a few remaining *Animal Facts* caches and others around the place. We then had a proper session on our mountain bikes, before closing out the day with a short walk in the southern side in Kyeema Conservation Park, and a few drive-by caches between Meadows and Echunga.
This was another geocache that I saw from approach. Its orange tinge container stood out a fair bit, but it just meant that the previous visitors hadn't hidden it / covered it well. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. I placed the cache back in its little nook, and hid back with natural camouflage, so should be hidden a little better away from muggles. Thanks 3LG/@LíB for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/@jesswrigley stamp.

Tftc! I got my car bogged parking on the side of the road! Park ranger couldn’t get me out, nor did the RAA....... had to get s tow truck! That was a 4 hour cache!
Nice and wet today but cache and contents are all good. Out finishing off the mystery at the museum challenge. TFTC 3LG
Nice spot. Easy find but great series. Fantastic for the kids. We had a great day out with the family and tired the kids out well! Sorry for generic post. Suitable container!
Today we focussed on the Animal Facts caches in the Kuitpo Forest area. We tried to make an early start because of the forecast higher temperatures but we started about 30 minutes later than planned. Despite that hiccup we were able to make our way around about more than half of the caches by 1:30pm. We will come back another day to look for the remainder.
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find of an appropriately decorated cache container. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 3LG for the cache and this set of Animal Facts caches.

It was about here that we had to put on rain coats to prevent getting as wet as a fish.TFTC
Fabulous day out with the entire caching family. Finished off what we could of this series in the Kuitpo Forrest. Super day for a big walk our favourite type of caching. Nice variety of hides and all found in good condition. TFTC and series a great way to spend the first day of the New Year.
Found with hevwalker on an afternoon caching adventure. Great day for a walk around the bush.

Having decided that it was a great day for a walk and a picnic in Kuitpo we planned to collect some more in the Animal Facts series along the way. It is always interesting to read about the animals - especially to learn new unusual facts - a very appropriate container! TFTC [:]
Spent the morning with some lads from the Morphett Vale Pathfinder Club who are completing the Geocaching Honour. The group included Jimmy01, Jourdster5555, Blue Cheeta C, Shadowss and green mere cats. Thank you 3LG for the cache and the series.
The container: well, of course.
Last of the night, well past sunset; luckily orange stands out.

Ive been wanting to find some of these Kuitpo caches and finally I had some free time thanks to a public holiday and the weather was kind. Our last one for the day. Love the colour of this one

Setting off on a new part of the trail we haven't done before. The weather is deteriorating and it is **very** wet underfoot.
After 2 mushy logs it was good to find a cache with dry contents and a dry log.
Thanks 3LG.

Nemo was found and in good condition. A quick find on our way home from chookaloo campground. TFTC
Found on a lovely Father's Day outing with the whole family, as we went on a 5km walk through Kuitpo Forest tracking down some of 3LG's 'Animal Facts' caches. Some of the trail was under water after yesterday's heavy rains, so while today's weather was cloudy but fine, we still ended up with muddy shoes and soggy socks. It is not everyday a dad gets to piggyback his 16 and 13 year old geodaughters as he wades through creeks, LOL! It didn't dampen our spirits though as we racked up the cache finds and had a great day out. TNLNSL TFTC
that's a few more, ok 21 more done, and that's it for today, will finish the trail another day and probably in daylight.
