Great geochaching day in the forest with marvin277 and the geokids. Lots of animal facts and a great adventure. Tftc
Had a wonderful adventure today with squeak11 and our geokids. We found a total of 17 caches in the Animal Facts Series and learnt some interesting animal facts. The log book is wet and mouldy and needs replacing but managed to sign.TFTC
Out caching around Kuitpo forest and Prospect hill today. An enjoyable ride around to pick up the Animal Facts caches on this side of the forest. Some took a bit longer to spot than others, but found them all in the end. Only a couple had wet logbooks, otherwise all were in good knick. Cheers.Find #6473 on 29 Dec 2023.TFTC LB!SAs Leap Year Event - GCA1DNA - Feb 29th, 2024. Keep the date free!
All good but there's plenty of long grass around many of these caches at the moment. Keeps us on our toes!
While staying at Yundi we decided to pick up some of the Animal Fact Series and as it was a fine, cool morning we headed off for a pleasant walk. Love ️ Whale Sharks . A couple of years ago when we were camped up at Cape Range National Park we did a swim with the Whale Sharks, just amazing! Thanks for bringing us here LiB tftc
I reached the part of the walk where I had to decided where I would go next given a few caches were along different paths. As I contemplated my route (and admittedly I am not sure I chose the best one), I looked for this cache. As with a few others the flies were a bit annoying and there was some tentative searching, but all good in the end. TFTC LíB
Out for the day with Pineapplegoldy!
Lots of caches found a few not.
Thank you for the cache!

Sparkie and Goldy are back for another drive around the Aldinga region for a few recently solved mystery caches.
After finding a few caches in the suburbs we ventured out for a walk around Kuitpo. I haven't been here in 11 years.
The walk ended up taking about 2 hours and 15 minutes but was super worth it.
A quick find here today, log book is damp but all else is find.

I heard something about a badge level thingy for writing longer logs... so feel to ignore from this point onwards.
Thanks for going to the effort to prepare, hide and submit this geocache for me to find, another smiley for my geomap.

After a big day out kayaking yesterday, I needed to give my arms and shoulders a rest so dime bush walking was on the cards today.
I had a very enjoyable day predominately bush walking and Geocaching around the Kuitpo Forest. I spotted kangaroos, a koala and an abundance of butterflies. Some GZs were amongst high “snakey looking “ grass, I am happy to report no snake encounters today.
I did suffer a couple of DNFs but still had a great day and got lots of exercise.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

An amazing animal - I got to view one up very close at an aquarium in Osaka.
After a morning brunch event in the heart of Mt. Barker, I’ve decided to stay in the area and chip away a few more of all these animals. The area used for this part of this huge series is currently very soggy, and I was on limited time, so no big numbers today. All caches found were in good condition. I’d love to know what the total count on this series is - a question for the next event maybe. Thanks LíB.

Got red herringed by a piece of junk but the actual cache was much easier to reach. couldnt go further on that trail as the creek was running very fast. caching with kayche21 today getting our steps and geocaching count up. tftc
Gps was throwing me off. But found. Cache was little wet after all this beautiful rain. But log still intact. Would like to keep going but creek flowing has stopped me from getting over. Tftc
Camping at Mt Compass for Easter we had a late start today messing about in camp before heading out at lunch time. We decided to attempt a few caches we had missed whilst driving around over the last week. Also to revisit some and attempt to convert to

This was a test. Both Supa’s past. Bike ride through mud and water for plastic containers. Thanks
Dirty and Fantastic. The SupaBike went through many muddy creek crossings to reach our goal. Tra La Laaa
Today with COVID-19 requirements still in effect, but fitness still being promoted, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I decided to head to Kuitpo for some mountain biking. We parked near the corner of Brookman Road and Gum View Road, and rode our mountain bikes north of Brookman Road around the fire tracks around the forestry area, finding the various *Animal Facts* series caches. We also joined a section of the Kidman Trail. We only anticipated to ride one half of these tracks, but we were making good time, and with it being a nice day, we continued our ride. We returned to have lunch, and then did a proper mountain biking session under the pine trees at Prospect Hill. A nice day out, and we saw a few kangaroos about too.
We continued our ride around this area on our mountain bikes, and made a quick find here. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks 3LG aka. [@LíB](http://coord.info/PR8KEM6) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Found this one with muggle Aunty Ang. Nice warm day out, the grass was a bit snaky so took plenty of precautions. TFTC
Little bit wet. Log book was ok. Took nothing left nothing. Thanks for the cache.

Nice and wet today but cache and contents are all good. Out finishing off the mystery at the museum challenge. TFTC 3LG
A quick walk in the forest after work brought me here fo a nice easy find

Today we focussed on the Animal Facts caches in the Kuitpo Forest area. We tried to make an early start because of the forecast higher temperatures but we started about 30 minutes later than planned. Despite that hiccup we were able to make our way around about more than half of the caches by 1:30pm. We will come back another day to look for the remainder.
Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide location led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks 3LG for the cache and this set of Animal Facts caches.

Out for a walk after work. Wow it is wet here at the moment, I was walking on water literally.

Fabulous day out with the entire caching family. Finished off what we could of this series in the Kuitpo Forrest. Super day for a big walk our favourite type of caching. Nice variety of hides and all found in good condition. TFTC and series a great way to spend the first day of the New Year.
Found with hevwalker on an afternoon caching adventure. Great day for a walk around the bush.

Having decided that it was a great day for a walk and a picnic in Kuitpo we planned to collect some more in the Animal Facts series along the way. It is always interesting to read about the animals. TFTC [:]
Spent the morning with some lads from the Morphett Vale Pathfinder Club who are completing the Geocaching Honour. The group included Jimmy01, Jourdster5555, Blue Cheeta C, Shadowss and green mere cats. Thank you 3LG for the cache and the series.
I knew it as soon as I saw it: what a gaping entry to hell that must be. Such an amazing tree: isn't it incredible that it is half burnt out yet still thrives and stands strong.
Ive been wanting to find some of these Kuitpo caches and finally I had some free time thanks to a public holiday and the weather was kind.
Out on a nice Sunday walk with allister w. Ground was very wet as were some logs but still had fun doing these ones. TFTC
A nice Sunday afternoon walk Cara81 to grab a few caches in this animal facts series. Plenty of water around and we had damp shoes and socks when we had finished. At one point I gave Cara a piggyback across a creek crossing. All the caches we looked for we found and in good condition, a few had damp or wet logs. TFTC
If it was possible to find something at the other size end of the spectrum to a whale shark then this cache most likely provided it, as the container was covered in small ants!! (perhaps as it was the only dry spot around).
Thanks for the caches 3LG

Water has been right over GZ so we thought this cache may have washed away, however it was still secure in its position and amazingly, contents were dry too. TFTC
Found on a lovely Father's Day outing with the whole family, as we went on a 5km walk through Kuitpo Forest tracking down some of 3LG's 'Animal Facts' caches. Some of the trail was under water after yesterday's heavy rains, so while today's weather was cloudy but fine, we still ended up with muddy shoes and soggy socks. It is not everyday a dad gets to piggyback his 16 and 13 year old geodaughters as he wades through creeks, LOL! It didn't dampen our spirits though as we racked up the cache finds and had a great day out. TNLNSL TFTC

On a lovely day that wasn't too hot I decided to go down to Kuitpo to have a look at 3LG's new cache and clean up the rest of the Animal Facts that I hadn't done. [^]
I decided to bring the bike this time and actually do some "mountain biking" even though pretty tame, but nevertheless the first time I have been off road. I thoroughly enjoyed the couple of hours that it took me to clean up the remaining 21 caches.
Most of the caches were in good order although a few had torn/broken zip lock bags and some of the logs were damp!! Don't know why that would be as there hasn't been much rain lately...maybe condensation.[?]

What better way to start the weekend than a 5 hour trundle through a forest finding caches? 41 caches, 4 DNFs, 15 kangaroos and 3 kookaburras. I'm always fascinated by the idea of a whale shark. Is it a whale or a shark? Or a whale that wishes it was a shark? Or a shark that wishes...the things one think while walking in nature...TFTC
Another interesting animal fact in the series of Animal Facts : Whale Shark. Enjoying walking the Kuitpo Forest gathering caches and facts. tftc
Managed to get all 41 caches in this area today with the Geowife. It drizzled on and off most of the day and took us about 5 hrs / 13km of walking to get them all - quite a rewarding experience - particularly finding them every 5 mins or so as we walked. Saw heaps of kangas, lots of birds and sloshed through countless puddles and overflowing creeks. Cooked up hot noodles and a hot cuppa for lunch at the edge of the forest - a tops day out.
Thanks for the cache!
Thanks for the cache!
Day 3 McLaren Vale.
Today we went into the forest searching for some animals. This was our first sunny day in ages, the ground was still wet, slippery & some puddles to negotiate in places.
Hubby walked one section of the trail while I did another.
