Fun little diversion after jogging to the top for sunrise. Bit sketchy getting down to GZ from the posted waypoint luckily I heard muggles which allowed me to see the track just below, making the exit much easier. Nice ammo can; didn't take long to see the light & sign the log. TFTC!
Having a lovely walk round the mountain - sings Shell be coming round the mountain, yeehaw when we decided to go off piste for this one. An exhilarating scramble and a scratched leg later I found and opened the box. Mr Dragon arrived with his keen observation skills, understanding of tools and strong hands - thanks last finder my tired old hands had a struggle. Big scrambly scramble back to the top. Loved it. Thank you x fav
Looked hard but nada. Read the hint. Nada. Oh well sometimes it just doesnt go our way.
Found the box. It was a fun little Scrabble down the hill. I did not see a log on the box though. Did I miss something? Took a picture of the contents just to validate the fine. TFTC!
What a Scrabble! Definitely a favourite point here, I found the initial cache and have to admit I nearly gave up finding the log, but then..... Got it!Amazing idea, thank you.
Happy to take what rubbish I could out at way-point leaving place tidier than I arrived. Reminded me of my bush whacking early days. Tftc
TFTC, what a fabulous cache and hide, loved the scrambling to find but given the wet weather and leaves made for a quick slide back down!! Morepork Man won the downhill slalom for sure
Erste Box gefunden. 2. mit dem Logbuch leider nicht. Die Taschenlampe funktioniert nicht mehr.
Thanks mike - miss for a great cache!Yes we signed the log. That was the fun and unexpected part !A well earned Favourite point .
On the Mountain today with Jag50 and Net61. Lots of steps !!!!!We were mainly doing ad labs, but this trad sounded interesting!Jag50 and Net61 raced ahead as the terrain became a bit rough for me...How amazing !Great method for the hide. All good here.Favourite Point!
Most people here did not in fact find it READ THE DESCRIPTION! Don't leave paper to sign unless you actually complete the mission find the log and its full. If you haven't found the log or its just a bit of paper in initial box you haven't done it.
Stopped at this cache while visiting **New Zealand**! [^]**My #151st visited Geocaching country!**---This cache was easily found and the logbook was signed. One more smiley face for me in the GEO map.Definitely not the easiest access while wearing slipers.Nice adventure. Youngest team member had a sporting event on for most of the day and middle team member very busy with work so I took it upon myself to do the drop off and pick up and hit up the mount geocaches in between.Mission to get down to this one but once here it was so peaceful and lovely. Container found and then the next mission was to find the log! Discounted the added pieces of paper in this one (& I actually removed them from the cache and have taken with me to dispose of them) and continued searching until aha! There it is! Signed log and consolidated them all into one nice stack. Returned as found. TFTC. Fave point from us for the sneaky log hide!
Thank you for the cache!Another day exploring and geocaching in New Zealand with my bestfriend geocacher Ironford. We arrived from Auckland yesterday and spent today exploring Mount Maunganui and enjoying the beach afterwards. The weather and views were perfect!Greetings from Prague, Czech Republic ??Getting the cache in this terrain was much harder than figuring out the way to the logbook.
A huge thank you to the cache owner for creating and maintaining a wonderful cache. EP79 and I have embarked on a three-month long geocaching trip across the globe, and we are both grateful and thrilled to discover new places and new friends. The first part of our trip is dedicated to Australia and New Zealand. Today we explored Bay of Plenty, Papamoa and Mt. Maunganui. We are in awe of the ocean, beaches and the landscape and enjoying exploring this region. Tools of the Trade was one of our stops during our climb up the Mountain. Our guide Tom helped us to retrieve the cache.Sorry for logging with a delay. The trip was really busy, but at least I get to revisit these caches again and enjoy great memories. Many thanks for the invite to a beautiful place and for a wonderful geocaching adventure. Greetings from Prague, the Czech Republic, Europe.
The climb down was more of a controlled slide. Lots of spider webs going into my face, getting dirt everywhere and sliding. Eventually I made it down in one piece and made the find. Had a bit of trouble finding the log but I eventually figured it out. Thanks for the cache, the climb back up was much easier.
Had to ask my muggle husband to help with this one as recent injury was to fresh to climb all the way up there from the path. The cache is full of moisture and rust, and the logbook is pretty much toast, but it's still there. However, finding it wasn't all that difficult. Took one TB on its merry way, left one TB from all across the ocean for another cacher to take along. Thanks for the fun!
Our NEW ZEALAND - TASMANIA - AUSTRALIA JOURNEY takes us to beautiful places and provides us with an incredible number of wonderful moments and experiences.Occasionally we also visit a few GeoCaches along the way.On the way to the Coromandel we made a stopover to climb Mt. Maunganui... Tricky cache, but very cool...! We are happy to add another blue loop for this....Thank you for placing, maintaining and caring snapfish2 from SwitzerlandPS: Translated with the Deepl app
This was a cache I was really targeting today on my walk around the mountain. Came up from the west and probably should have attempted on the way down (to save slogging up some steps twice). A true T4 that I really enjoyed - the hint really helped here. Left a TB that I have had for a while (might take a little while to log but will get there).TFTC mike-miss
Mr six was desperate to find this this time. We tried it onOur last visit! But this year found it! 1st Amo can. Stoked is an under statement
Hiking to the top of Mount Maunganui this cache was on my bucket list as well I loved the hike and the fantastic views alot! And its always fun to find a cache!Thank you for contributing to the game by the placement and care of the cache. TFTC
The cache was easy to find after the ‚climbing‘ through the bush. There was no logbook inside, so we put some paper in. TFTC
TFTC. Thought I was close until I realised the drop from the path I was on. Manages to find GZ after climbing up the hill. No log unfortunately to sign but a great cache regardless.
Should have brought better shoes, but made it... however no log book, so we left a little sugar paper with our logname, greetings from Austria
Tftc! The pen was broken so couldn't sign, but I will post a picture here as proof! Good one!
That was fun but no luck today. We're visiting the area from Crestview, Florida, USA. Thanks for creating the cache.
Tftc, was a bit stumped about the log book but found it soon enough!
Great hide off the track to avoid all the muggles

I used my (well needed) skills as a mountain goat to get to the right location. The Cache was a found quickly, but the log took some more time.
My first intuition ended up being right but I still spend a good amount of time to look at other places because I didn't look close enough at first...

Found with goldielover today. Bit of a steep area. Well worth the effort.
Great cache, had us going for a second or two.
Another favourite point for you.

PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION!! Definatley some logs here that need deleting, how can you come so far with no pen & not spend the time finding the log.Removed paper that was not the log to ensure others don't sign as that's a definite CHEAT! pretty sure this was done previously but someone at some point moved it to be with the actual container. J was a bit disappointed that it didn't require lock picking and at first we thought it was missing a tool but on further inspection we got it (we have had similar before but was expecting a bit more work) fav point! Tftc , such a beautiful day, really enjoying all the walks these caches are taking us on so thanks for placing! Loving this area!Over from the UK visiting family in Te Kuiti, exploring the north island and caching! So we're taking trips where we stay for a few days/week at a time before moving on to somewhere else or a few places before going back to spend time with family and back out again on another adventure. (Sorry for the very very late Log, between limited Data, some issues with our travel, some personal issues and a build up meaning the ADHD couldn't cope tackling these but finally getting logged Please forgive)
Took a while to find. Left a temporary log as no log in the cache container. TFTC
I'd bypassed this one yesterday whilst 'passing by' but flagged it to support mrs c as we headed up. Up this way this morning with this cache on the radar and headed down to WP2 of the Mauao Ad Lab next on the list. Soon alongside GZ here and spotted what was required fairly quickly. There are a number of log options to sign, I signed one of them and replaced as found, and aligned. Glad to get this 'twin' of the Auckland Multi one I found on Mega day. Another FP for this inventive CO.
Out and about this morning before we head home and mrs c packs up the car with a view to head around the base of the Mount for the Ad lab. Just a couple of caches but still a cheeky 6kms walked before hitting the road.
We're on a bit of a road trip this week and travelling a wee bit of part of the North Island as we go. We headed up to Auckland at dark o clock on Tuesday and overnighted at Aunties on Tuesday night before heading to Tutukaka Coast for 2 days and visiting our son and his family. On Friday morning we headed down-country and headed to Mount Maunganui and stopped off for just a couple of caches on the way before checking into the work apartment for a couple of nights. Nice couple of days on 'The Mount' before heading home in the pouring rain on Sunday.

Follow the geotrail to this. Nice challenging. Not looking forward getting back up there, T4T$
Nice evening stroll with H in the dark. H stayed at the seat while I scrambled down the bushes. H would periodically call out with info to help located the cache. Wow took a bit of searching In the dark and was defiantly down further that I thought it was going to be. Love the cammo for this one, worth a fav point. Thanks for the effort on this cache.

A slow trip up to Auckland for the Mega next weekend. Spent the morning walking the mount collecting a few caches. This was a highlight. Scrambled to GZ and found the cache reasonably quickly. Took a bit longer playing with the tools before signing the log. Happy to add to the favourites. Thanks for the smiley.
I decided to climb Mauao after Christmas lunch with my family in Papamoa. I can’t remember the last time I was here, but it was probably in the 1980s.
I thoroughly enjoyed the walk up, even though it was a very warm day. The views and scenery were spectacular. It was lovely seeing all the people climbing up and down the maunga.
This cache was my primary target for today’s trip up the maunga. So I was all in despite already being pretty tired from the trip up to the summit. I carefully climbed down and bashed around looking for and then examining various hint objects in vain. It took me far too long to get to GZ, in retrospect.
Finally got there, spied the cache and managed to access the log far more quickly than expected. Fantastic hide, beautiful location. An excellent cache all round. Thank you for bringing me here. TFTC

Found the container quickly enough but the log evaded me. Only had a few minutes as the family were continuing down.
Spending a few days holidaying at The Mount. Day 1. A perfect day for climbing to the top. Ms decided that she didn’t like the location of the seat so she continued her uphill plot as I dived down the bank. A quick find but no log. Hmmm. I better read the cache description. Aha. A field puzzle. It was in the first place I looked. A pity that I didn’t find it on the first pass as I then searched all the other bits and pieces on offer. Read a few logs and began my search again. Yippee. I found this time. A good hide. TFTC
Spend my longer lunch break on the Mt and made this side trip. Found quite quickly. TFTC

I left Mrs Geckoh to it around the base track to sort out the Adventure Lab waypoints while I did the up and around and over to find a few and look for potential hiding spots for a sneaky cache??
Carried on up to this one and was a quick find after getting onto the right track, soon found the nice big cache and soon figured out the hiding spot of the log, great idea, one I have only seen once before (not that long ago actually)

Been holding this TB for far too long and haven't had the opportunity to move it on further from home. Casual afterwork mission up the mount in the dark bush bashed my way off track back to my favourite cache i've found on the Mount. Thought it could do with a TB. Hopefully someone can move this a bit further than I did
Holy heckas, that was INTREPID for a mama with a shoulder on rehab and a 7 year old boy, but WE DID IT!!!!
I've climbed this mountain plenty of times and never once have i been to a place on the mount at peak time that is so quiet and peaceful . Tftc cool spot and nice hide
A quick pre summer (post Covid) road trip to The Mount (from Wellington) and grabbing a few caches along the way. This was one of them. A beautiful day for a walk. All good here, TFTC.
Decided to go for a walk around the mount. Was surprised that there were no caches around the base so decided we would have to walk up to the top. Very windy today. Found this one on the way up after a bit of a careful downhill walk. Nice large container, then had the task of founding the log.
Thanks for the cache

I was nearby replacing a cache for Kiwicouple and spotted the intriguing title of this cache so decided to head on a bit and have a go at it. I have done a cache that is perhaps the grandchild of this one so had some thoughts about what might be involved.
Got to the trailhead and saw why it had its DT rating so waited for a gap in the busy walkers and runners and then slipped off the trail down to the cache. Took it easy and was grateful that it seemingly has not been too rainy here as the going wasn't too bad. Got to GZ and quickly found the nice big cache.
Had a look at the contents and had a hunch where the log might be and sure enough I was right so in the end a pretty quick find if you don't count climbing down and back up again! Dropped in a couple of bits of swag and a pathtag.
Thanks for the excellent cache - all good here.

Wow, what an awesome cache! Full of adventure and mystery! Loved it! Even though I had to slide down on my butt most of the way to get there...Totally worth it!!
A great adventure of the track I must say. I would've nearly given up but the Cache was well worth the patience and studiness. Also it was a lovely walk up to the summit this evening. This is why I'd like to leave a favorite point and a TB here! .
Quite the slope down, and lots of bloggers to get excited about to early.
Found it and I really liked the hidden log place!
Thanks for the cache!
Original logbook was full, this paper was just laying in the cache, but I hid it where it’s suppose to go.

Wow! It’s a stiff climb up the track so luckily there was a place to rest and recover before tackling this challenge. Not to give anything away, but it’s amazing and amusing in equal measure! Please accept another FP and many TFTC
Went past going up as too many muggles struggling. Including me!!
Went for it coming down. Slippery non trail and almost dove over at gz. Bagged the cache though and picked up the tb. Now to get back up.

I had been tipped off by a local cacher that this was a brilliant one to visit. We’d just got the TMGT on the Mount and this seemed the obvious next target. As a CO of clever hides myself – as I like to think – I know how important it is not to give anything away. So I won’t. Except to reiterate that is utterly brilliant and well worthy of all the favourite points it has garnered. Here’s another one!
Mrs. SLOlocals waited while Mr. made the scramble. Very clever cache! A favorite point from these Californians!
Very interesting and original hide!! After trekking down with geo-dad we slowly made it to GZ after some slips and loss of footing. After locating the cache we were surprised to see what was inside but I guess that is the name of the cache. After realising the logbook wasn’t immediately there we put our brains together and were able to locate the logbook. Now for the trek back up! TFTC - favourite point coming your way
Loved it! You put some thought and effort into this one. Should be more like us. Am trying to set the same standard in Aussie.
Found it with Geo-Son jacko2484. His comments sum it up. Favourite Point from me

We are in Tauranga for the weekend. Neither of us had ever climbed Mt Maunganui before so this was our goal for the day. On or way up we got to an intersection close by so had to make the small detour to the cache location. Mrs HeMaLuDy waited at the seat and talked to passing muggles. Meanwhile Mr HeMaLuDy headed for the cache location. This took a little while as the location on the phone jumped around a bit. The hint helped and once it was in slight the seach was quick. Upon opening the cache the true nature of the cache was revealed. After signing and some photos to show Mrs HeMaLuDy everything was returned as found. This cache earns a well deserved favourite point. TFTC.
We continued up the track from the nearby TMGT to grab this one. Mrs B stopped and chatted to others on the track from the seat that was suggested as the point to go off track while I carried on to the cache. Took several approaches with GPS bouncing around a little to find the right place but got there in the end. Knew exactly where to look for the log as we had done the sister cache in AKL recently. Another great cache, TFTC.
Today, a short walk on Mount Maunganui, the sun is very much present! It is hot to go up there.
We'll also do some caches
Wow, nice [^] The logbook will be found quickly

What a cool cache. Tricky terrain and more fun once you’ve opened the cache! We approached from the closed trail off base track, which meant a little less bush bashing. GPS bounced around a bit and there were a few boulders to consider, but generally a straightforward find. Definitely a favourite. TNLNSL TFTC
There were a lot of muggles out on the mount today making it difficult to leave the track without being spotted but finally a gap appeared.
Mr Coblet did the honours while Mrs Coblet stood guard above.
It was a bit of a bush bash to GZ with a few almost slips but he got there unscathed and soon located the cache.
A bit of investigation was required to locate the log but a systematic search soon revealed its location.
Thanks mike-miss for a great hide off the beaten track. Love these ones.

The challenging thing with this cache was finding the actual cache, the gps was sending us a different way but once we arrived at the area came very obvious very quickly. I wore the wrong shoes today thinking that I wouldn’t need more hiking shoes but stupidly I should have researched the caches we are attempting today. Unfortunately with solved the cache very quickly and thought that it would take longer solving but blind luck helped. Thank you for Geocache.
