This cache has been removed by the council after the recent storm damage so unfortunately I will have to archive this cache.
Lots of council work has started in this area, big pile of mulch from fallen tree. Could not find due to collaosed branches.
Sneaky and cleaver hide. Still managed to find with all the tree damage.

Nutty indeed! We were unfortunately greeted at GZ by what we feared might be the likely hide type.
As we began our search the rain began once again although we were somewhat sheltered so continued our search.
Haphazardly at first hoping for a quick find, then a little more systematically. Fortunately it wasn’t too long before OHC announced that she had it!
A clever hide and well placed.
Thanks Tony66 for the cache and for contributing to the game.

In the area today only needing a couple of caches to fill a certain challenge criteria.
Upon arrival we knew exactly what we’d be looking for. We talked about setting ourselves a time limit before calling it, but never really settled on what that limit would be.
Anyhoo, having the rain closing in on us kinda worked in our favour as the playground was more like a ghost town.
10 mins in, I noticed something that all the rest weren’t doing. Upon closer inspection… BINGO!!
Managed to squeeze our names into a very full logbook, and replaced as found, just as the heavens opened up. Timing!

We went out for our first geo adventure 25min and we fount the nutty evil one. Thanks!
BRILLIANT little cache.
Love the location on this beautiful day.
The log book appeared full, it's very fragile and damp. Needs replacing.
Have pic as evidence of find.

Too evil for this dwarf people starting to use the playground as well so off I go back to my mine
I suppose wandering over to GZ only to learn that a group of preschoolers and their teacher were sitting in a circle on the grass in view of GZ and then deciding it wouldn't be a good idea to stand around for half an hour looking at nothing, warrants a DNF log.
First time out caching for months. As the Covid-19 restrictions and 25km radius eased, I went out today with my caching buddy Jetsons23 following all safe guidelines. The sun was out and a gentle breeze blowing.
As we entered the park we passed a Spoonville. Lots of colourful characters to be found. Continuing on, past the playground, we arrived at GZ. Well what have we here? Where do we start? A little wandering here and there and everywhere. I then stop and think. A recheck of the co ords proved beneficial as their accuracy and my thinking led to the find.
A clever and well executed hide.
Thank you for the cache here Tony66

Out caching on an absolutely beautiful day with my caching buddy, we are out today for the first time in ages due to covid.
Took a while of searching and I'm not sure what the people at the playground with their kids thought of two people wandering around in trees........ anyway, after a while we found the cache, sneaky hide. Thank you for the cache.

I think with hides like this one, you need luck as much as anything else. We didn't have it today. Gave it a good search but failed.
Given the heat we stuck to low terrain caches in the shade. Looking at the description we k ew we would be in the shade for a while. Certainly lots of choice so we worked our way around and eventually made the find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.

An afternoon of caching with The Welder and our five geokids... this seemed to be the perfect place so as we hunted the kids could run between helping with the hide and playing on the playground. After a fifteen minute search, the cache was in hand. Nice hide! TFTC

Today was the first full day of the 2019 Bromance St Arnaud FIFO adventure. The serious cachers (Seffnjarah, Swellerfungus, Saywat? and JeznDez) headed out at sparrows with only a few miserable hours of sleep following a late night flight.
We are heading towards Portsea collecting caches on the way.
The DT on offer here attracted us to take a look for this evil hide. I was certainly not confident when I saw GZ and understood just how big a task this was, However, after ten minutes, Jezndez spotted a tether for a previous hide. We were thinking the container might have gone , when it was spotted right next to the old tether. Some days you get lucky and you need luck here. Most logs were signed "Bromance". Thanks Tony66

In town to attend the St Arnaud Handicap, The Bromance Plus (Seffnjaray, CrookedPete seffnjarah, JeznDez and SayWot!) flew in from Brisvegas. An early start after little sleep, followed by a whirlwind bromance of caching, some more challenging than others. Thanks to all the owners for their dedication to the game by providing such great places to visit around the greater Melbourne area. We started in kew, got as far south as the Mornington Peninsular and fort Nepean, across to Queenscliff via the ferry, skirting Geelong and back to Kew - a great adventure all around.
Logs were signed collectively for all as "Bromance" to save log sheet space.

The Bromance (seffnjarah, Crookedpete and Swellerfungus) conducted a successful fly-in-fly-out mission from Brisbane to Melbourne for last year's mega event at Parkville, and decided to return again this year for the The Bromance Mega FIFO Adventure 2019. With the addition of Dez of JezNDez as the all new-and-improved Bromance, and sayWOT? joining us as caching 457 visa holder, the expanded team flew in for 3 days of caching around Melbourne and regional Victoria, with a visit to the St Arnaud Mega thrown in.
Despite not getting to our accommodation until well after 1am (delayed by the collection of some caches visited along the way ) we were on the road again at 5.30 am and working our way through "The List" of to-do caches for the trip.
Gradually heading south, we made a stop at this cache to see how truly evil it may be. As soon as we approached GZ we knew we were in for a battle - way too many options here for a quick find. After following zigzagging phones and GPS's around the vicinity for some time, we eventually narrowed the search and were soon rewarded, thanks to the eagle eyes of Dez with what appeared to be the remnants of a cache hide. Just as we were about to depart, Dez again had the best eyesight to stumble across the real hide staring us in the face. A good tricky hide. Logbook signed "The Bromance"to save space. TFTC

Ah promises, promises, especially those of the drunken variety! At a mid-year birthday party for seffnjarah Junior, Jez and the LadySim conspired to get the usually sober, in control, type ‘C’ Seff a tad tiddly. Fast-forward to November, and as a direct result of the inebriated pledges made that night, we found ourselves on a plane bound for Melbourne, ostensibly for the Mega, but mostly to assist Seff in pretending he’s not one step closer to F-I-F-T-Y by solving puzzles, climbing lots of trees, undertaking a hike or two, and maybe, just maybe, spending a couple of hours with several of our long suffering spouses who had been dragged along for the ride. Our caching group consisted of an extended Bromance; Swellerfungus, Crookedpete, Seff (seffnjarah), SayWOT? and I (most logs signed 'Bromance'), while LadySim, Jarah and Jez would be undertaking the very serious business of quality checking a number of vineyards and distilleries, and picking up a grand total of two caches for the weekend!
After some post-airport midnight caching and a solid 2.5 hours of sleep, we were caffeinated, back in the car and cracking on nicely with day 2 of The List. We pulled up here, immediately identified GZ and spent a good 5 minutes searching fruitlessly. Eventually something caught my eye, which seemed to indicate the demise of the cache, so we were just taking evidentiary photos in the hopes the CO might allow us to log the find when I spotted the real cache. Nice, very nice! That could have taken a while! TFTC and have a FP for the tricky little hide!

After attending a geoevent this morning and feeling very sure of our selves thought we would stop on the way home and tick this find off our list after walking round in circles for a good hour we decided a cup of tea was needed and headed home Will return to try again
After a cup of tea and a regroup returned. After about. 20 min later SUCCESS thanks to my wife's keen eyes and .nutty disposition. Couldn't let this one beat us SL TFTpainfulC
With the place to myself I had all the time in the world to find this cache but on approach I quickly realised this was not going to be easy. With the GPS'r sending me in round in circles, I resorted to another map which placed me in a spot I hadn't been yet. Standing there looking about, wondering where this cache could be, I spotted something very different in front of me that quickly brought a smile on my face. Very clever but very very nasty. TNLNSL. On my way home from the kids I needed a challenge. You have to be lucky sometimes and it was my day to day. Thanks for the cache Tony66
Found at 13:17 on October 4, 2018. Find # 944.
Out with a few others doing a few in this area today.
That is truly evil and wicked but I love it. Fav point from me.
Thanks to Tony66 for placing and maintaining this cache. We are getting closer to our 1000 find goal for this year. TFTC.

An organised morning of caching with BoatieTim, TeamMoss5 and Matilda_3192 brought us to this location. My second time here. This is definitely an evil one, but thankfully this time it didn’t take too long. A favourite point from me.

After a day of caching we decided to stop off at this park for lunch before the hour drive home having seen a cache like this before it became a nice quick find tftc
Found with help from fellow cacher Drewbert81 who has located this one in the past. One of the most creative caches I've seen in a long time. Great idea and hide.
Gods Angels were sent to me, Ken and Cathy. They have saved me from myself in helping me find this Evil One. I don't normally obsess over a cache but this one was toying with me. My GPS (and everyone else's) had me going to a certain spot on one day and then another on another day. Once in the right spot it was much easier to finally spot that something different was there.
Thankyou Tony66 for your cache and I hope not to see another like it.
Fav point from me.

Spent 30 mins here now Im going nutty. Should of realised being a lovely sunny day that this park would be very busy with big and little muggles, even the four legged ones too! There were a few bee's helping me look, but still no luck today.
Find 1658
Wow you can be lucky. No muggles and the park to ourselves. Knowing this could take some searching we used the GPS to try for an accurate location. As it was settling, I started my search. Geowife all of a sudden said Got it. A full 2 minutes and I was signing the log.
It is very evil indeed, but we know luck was on our side today.
Thanks Tony66

Brilliant cache. Had me going for a while. One of my favorite in the area. Tftc
Some reasonable deducing and patience had this one found. The fantastic park nearby kept the 6yr old entertained while I looked. An excellent cache for the area.
As I'd started off being 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so.
I'd come to Melbourne for the 2017 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards day and ended up staying for about 5 days
Most of the nights were spent at the kindly kmace's place although the last couple I decided to spend in the car due to unforeseen caching circumstances that had me in strange areas
Today I was determined to complete a multi that i had started last night but had horrendously messed up Seems tiredness really does play a part in how easily a problem gets solved![)][)]
11 finds today and only 1 DNF as I made my way back to Shepparton.
Some nights I get lucky! [^]
I'd expected to be here for hours and instead I was only gonme from the car for about 15 minutes
Walked in, checked GPSr, adjusted my angle of entry and started looking. Cache found very soon after that [^]
That really wasn't such an evil one! Now if you want to know how to make it bloody evil: contact me

I am so proud of myself as vision is not one of my attributes.
There I was, geoteen in tow, and I was on a mission!
Nice little park with an awesome balance thing in playground which we just had to test out.
Lols all round! Give it a go!
Got our legs stable again and headed to GZ.
It pays to be patient and just look.
Well, I am still in shock that I actually spotted it all by myself!
Very crafty. Love it. Favourite from me!

Finally! I’ve tried this one a few times when we’ve been over this way and given up but a calm, thorough search with the help of the Walking Ladder something a little bit different was spied and our quarry had been found. He’s glad it’s been found too. We don’t have to come here again now! Worth a favourite point for the sheer challenge of the cache.
Today is a CITO event with crank1. Came this area bit early to catch up some caches before heading to an event. It has been searching for 15mins and found it. A very clever hide!!! Good one. Thanks Tony66 for the cache
Accompanied with Kangas11. We are on way to CITO at Langwarrin
It’s very hard to find but glad we only take about 15 mind.Excellent one.

The Black Minion was having a Prep transition session just down the road. And parents were asked to leave their kids at the school for an hour or so.
Well, what is one to do?!
Cache, of course!!!
As soon as I saw the name of this cache, I knew I had to come visit. On arriving, I quickly understood what the concept was.
With the aid of perfect coordinates, I got lucky.
VERY lucky!
I found it inside a minute.
Well, that wasn't so evil, I thought.
As always, I wandered a little distance from the hide to sign the log, as I don't want to compromise the hide if I get muggled while 'doing the paperwork'.
The tree seemed to play a bar of harmonica in the breeze while I signed in. It was an odd noise to hear in a totally deserted park. Strange, but true...
Anyhow, I walked back to return the log, and do you think I could find the cache again?
Not on your Nelly!
Well, not for another 15 minutes, LOL!!
Thanks Tony66. This was a very enjoyable visit.

Apologies for the late log. After a couple of solo DNFs here in the last few weeks I enlisted the help of buhfuhguh to add an extra pair of eyes to the search. Funny how it turns out but I had only been here a couple of minutes when buhfuhguh headed off to the car to grab a torch. As he walked away my eyes (or torch to be more precise) happened to fall on the right spot and the triumphant yell of "I've got it" went up. Very lucky to find this one in the twilight. Definitely just got lucky this time as it's not an easy one to spot. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Tony66.

Bad start for the day. I got to the park, found the GZ and my heart dropped. No wonder this cache is 'unloved '. After about 15 minutes I gave up and pressed on.
After some discussion with AnnoyingTarbit about that we have DNF'd he mentioned a couple that I should have a crack at, to which I suggested that we go out tonight and give them a crack. Sadly this was our only find together as other attempts were just DNF. Upon meeting at the reserve we both had a quick look to no success. As I went to my car to pick up my torch I heard a 'found it' to which I returned vigilantly to sign this elusive log. Upon signing it AnnoyingTarbit said that i could have the unlove for the competition that I am competing in. Eitherway I had good fun looking for this evil little cache and cant wait to go out and get some more unlove.

Have just done a quick check on this cache and found it safe and well. Happy hunting cachers
After being queried about this cache, I had a spare 10 minutes in the area today, so stopped by for a look. Knowing exactly what to look for, and remembering the general area, I spotted the cache after about 2 minutes.
The Evil One is still hidden cunningly awaiting the next finder to collect the 6 months plus of unlove.

Evil indeed! Popped here during my lunch break and arriving at GZ I sensed it could be quite a task. Searched for about 20 minutes but no luck this time. I'll be back! Thanks anyway.
Damnit i knewthe general whereabouts but alas i was outsmarted... either that or it is no longer there.
I spotted this cache - sometimes you just need to be lucky with these. Found in the company of quiet1_au and GJMMelb. TFTC
Evil indeed - we've found some caches like this before but although G' of GJMMelb and I searched for some time while lochb headed back to the car to get a jacket, we failed to locate it and it was lochb who eventually spotted this tricky hide upon her return - we had the right idea all along but with so many possibilities you literally had to be in the right place looking in the right direction to spot it. (That's twice today she's done that!) TFTC - I don't think I've seen a red-flowering gum quite so "weeping" as this one before.
Found with Lochb and Quiet1_au. As we approached this one we knew what we had to do it was just a matter of time. After quite a length of time L got the right angle and saw the tell tail sign. Thanks Tony66

Found this almost a week ago, just a later log. This was very clever and fun to find. Had to use stealth as there was a few people around. Tftc
Wow. This was so clever. Extra hard as there were a lot of mugglers around. Definitely a favourite. Thankyou
I often looked at this cache and thought of the name and difficultly and decided I probably wouldn't be able to find it in a lunch break. Today I did stop and thought I would have a look. I approached the park to find a number of community workers there so went away to find another cache. The other cache seemed to have been muggled so I thought that's my lunch time with no cache find! . Returning passed the park I noticed the workers leaving so I grabbed the chance to have a look. Reaching GZ I realised what I was in for. Fortunately the accurate co ordinates made it a fairly quick find. Getting the log out was the difficulty but I managed that with my determination. What a great hide. A fav point from me. TFTC
My deepest and sincerest apologies for the absolutely woeful logging time for this cache. I currently have a backlog of 460 found it logs from the last three years. Yikes! Obviously, many of these will be difficult to remember and with such a big backlog I simply have to do a default log (other than a few special favourites along the way). I am writing this on the 18th of May 2019, when this log is for 25/08/2016 Thanks to all of the owners and sorry for the pitiful log!
The cache is back to it's evil ways so good luck. Please be careful putting the container back in its hidey hole to make sure it stays there.
Thanks for letting me know the cache is missing. I will get there this week to replace the cache.
After 15 mins of searching the missus was stoked she had found the cache but to our dissapointment only half the cache was there. The log book, (nano) was nowhere to be seen. (I would have replaced the missing items but didn't have any on me)
Good hide we will come back to check this one again soon.
Good hide we will come back to check this one again soon.
This is one evil cache indeed....
It was dark too since I was looking at about 7pm but this did not seem to matter, in fact I think it helped because I had the entire park to myself and when my torch went over the cache it seemed to shine out! So maybe searching in the dark could help since it stands out more when your torch goes over it
I found it in about 5 minutes, I got lucky by looking in the right spot at first, probably because of the direction I came.
Thanks for this cache Tony66, adding a favourite point for the creativity and perfect hide. It just works sooooo well in this area.

The evil one, a name that conjures up heaps of wasted time looking for a micro hidden in an obvious spot. You know the type, you can't see the wood for the trees. I came here last year when Monkey King had his event nearby, but there were too many people around so left it. So we was expecting the worst this time. Surprisingly I found it within 5 minutes, I dont know why, maybe just looking in the right direction might have helped. Still a good hide and it deserves a fav point from us.

Evil indeed. Took us about 20 mins but found it eventually. Exact coords helped. And no need to dig - looks like previous cachers were trying to look underground. SL. TFTC
Found with carkisser .....
This suited us because she's nuts and I'm evil.
Thank you .

Out with JSando picking up containers to make into caches. Driving nearby and saw the evil one JSando not able to pass up a challenge decided that this is where we were heading. We parked nearby and settled in for a good hour or more search and had the cache in hand in a couple minutes LOL. If we'd wanted a quick find it would've been two hours and a DNF. Love the hide. A fave point from me. TFTC
Second time we have looked for it and second time we haven't found it. Will come back for more.
The cache name certainly says it all

Was very lucky with this one, sun was in the perfect spot for a very quick find. Tftc!
It does exist. It is there. And it is evil. But persistence pays off. And it does have a tell if you see that first.
Day two of the Mega and I had my two boys tagging along today for some caching fun. Another great day to be out and about. We found a few caches early in the day before attending the event, then we headed back out again to grab a few more later in the afternoon.
This is one cache I've been meaning to get to and with some added help today I was optimistic we'd find the little bugger. It took some searching and some eagle eyes but eventually we spotted the hide. Evil indeed.
Thanks Tony66.

OK - this one took a few minutes! And I think I was just plain lucky! This could have taken forever!
Found with Mtrax and Flossy63. We came down from Canberra (Flossy from NZ) to attend the Melbourne mega Event! And of course, find a few extra caches while we were down here! It was a nice drive, with plenty of caches found along the way. The only issue was - I had loaded 6000 caches into my GPS (just to cover me for the trip ) using a ggz file, but it seems the GPS wasn't happy about that! Luckily Mtrax had a smaller ggz file, so I copied that one, and all was good. We found 162 caches all up over the long weekend, can't complain about that.

Find #2294
After attending The Monkey King's event in Langwarrin, Steve and I headed out for a shortish run with the goal of finding the members of the C.F. Series that we had solved but not yet tried to find. We reasoned that quite possibly not many of these caches will survive the Mega and so having solved the puzzles, we wanted the smileys too.
Both Steve and I had looked for this cache in the distant past without success but this afternoon we had the park to ourselves and it took only a few minutes for Steve to spot this hide. Very glad to have finally got this one off my map.
Thank-you to Tony66 for placing this geocache

While out and about searching for caches with biggles1024, this one was found.
After leaving the event just down the road we decided to once again have a look at this evil one as a previous attempt yielded nothing.
This time it was daylight and once at GZ the search began, this time, it wasn't long before the cache was found.
