Out caching and 4wding around Mt Stanley with a mate new to geocaching. Awesome day out, got ourselves into a few sticky situations but managed to get out of them ok!
Started to lightly rain here. Cache took a bit to spot a nice little dam.

Out with Geowife and Geodog exploring the amazing places around Stanley. All good here. Now onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Has been a busy week so I took the afternoon off and headed down to Beechworth to make a further dent in the latest souvenir. A quick stroll in the bush at Stanley and then a couple at Hurdle Flat got me halfway there - the two of us and the geohound really enjoyed these caches.
This cache has always been out by itself so I have never ducked down to sign. With new caches nearby in Stanley was an opportunity to grab this. Headed down a few dirt tracks and walked the last 130m to the peaceful dam - plenty of frogs here as well. GPS had me in the middle of the track but a quick look on one side convinced me to look on the other more thoroughly and the cache was soon located. I can see why people don’t spot this but just need to have eyes open. Signed and on my way.

Out and about for a drive in the bush and avoiding people & Covid! Only saw a few other cars as we made our way thru Stanly, Beechy, Woolshed and home.
Very still and quiet here today. Cache in good order. Cheers

What a lovely area indeed. My partner and l had a wonderful time picnicking and just plain relaxing on a very mild summer's day. Water was clear and we even got to see some baby fish swimming around. Picture perfect, and a good time had. Cache found in good condition
Very poor internet so couldn't trust my compass and was 15m accuraccy. At the dam and enjoyed the spot but no cache for us.
All geocaches get me outdoors, and any cache may highlight ...Vistas, Flora, Fauna, Local Interests, Events & History. Perhaps even being a simple challenge. Regardless of a find or not, they are all unique and I sincerely thank the cache owner for placement of this one.
On my way to spend a few days in Albury I decided to take the scenic route and grab a few caches on the way. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.
This one hasnt been visited in a while. Glad i could bring it some fresh air, and a new signature.
Windy day for caching in the pines, but we had fun clambering over the logs on the rejuvenated dam walk. TFTC!
I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today we were on a mission to bring up our Miles stones of 15000 and 13000 cache finds, We had a great day bike riding and Four Wheel Driving. Thanks Bingley3683 for the cache.
**# 14989** Found on an absolutely excellent adventure with Rebel Acts.
A cloudy spring day for a fantastic 4wdrive trek around the Beechworth area.
We were on a mission for my 15,000th and Rebels 13,000th finds.
Thanks for the cache Bingley3683,

This is why I like geocaching as it takes you to all these hidden gems. The dam was full today. TFTC

Had finished work and thought I'd drive through the bush on the way to Beechy for a glimpse of the snow. And while I'm at it I may as well find the few caches out this way I haven't found yet.
Approach to this one I thought I may have found it in the past as it seemed somewhat familiar, but maybe just a sense of de ja vu instead of an actual memory of finding it.
Anyway, found it by torchlight and with a bit of snow about signed the log, picked up the TB and was time to move on.
TFTC, Cheers.

Checked this one, seems its disappeared after pruning in the pines..... new co-ords and a trackable!

Sheesh, after a dnf at the previous cache, we were determined to find this one but after another thorough search we came up empty. Found the the Forest Dam, but not the Damn cache! thanks anyway Bingley, a lovely spot to visit nonetheless.
A visit to Beechworth was on the agenda for today as we had to collect an item from the Newsagent. As it was such a pleasant autumn day we continued towards Stanley to collect this cache as well! We enjoyed our drive through the pine plantations and duly arrived near to GZ. A short uphill walk and the cache was in hand. SL at 1.56pm Took: locust Left: butterfly #2889 The reeds seem to be taking over Parkey's Dam and the road in has become a walk in. TFTC Bingley
[:(!] Took the geoGrand Vitara for a spin to see what she can actually do on a caching run for half a day and this was on of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was quickly in hand.
I like it

The GPS had us in a slightly different spot to start off with. It sent Geodad running through blackberries!! But after the gps finally settled we managed to find this hide! Thanks for taking us to this nice quiet spot Bingley!
Cruising around the local countryside in the company of skullracing, we stopped by to do this cache.
I remember being here YEARS AGO as a kid and it's certainly changed since then!
A nice easy cache that was spotted very quickly. Thanks for the fun Bingley3683

#6068 We had some business to attend to around the Yack area and capped our day off with a few finds. This was our first cache and we were quite surprised that it had received so few visitors thus far. It is a lovely area which had been recently visited by a bulldozer - it had utilised a portion of the bank for fill, we hoped that it hadn't compromised GZ. Fortunately GZ was still quite a ways from the edge and it was still nestled in its hide. Our thanks to Bingley3683 for the cache and fun. Cheers [^] (Our apologies for the late log).
I found my way to the Forest Dam after following a few trails
What is it with this HVP mob who keep putting up all the "No Entry" signs ?
They don't own the land
It IS state forest !!!
So I ignored the sign and wandered in on foot to find the dam and then the cache
Lovely spot [^]

# 5731. Joint 2TF with Robmc this morning. The first of two finds as we are on our way to visit the geoprincess too. We were a little surprised to see a large sign saying STOP Private Plantation - keep out. We drove in as it was only about 35 metres to GZ. The dam is certainly hard to spy amongst the thick blackberries. Found the cache nicely hidden and was surprised to only see Yowie's log on page 1. A peaceful place in amongst the pines. TFTC
A short morning's drive with BettyBoo3747. Fortunately no timber trucks on a Sunday morning. Doubly lucky as there is now a private property sign at the end of the track in.
This cache will become tricker as the blackberries grow up.
Nice little lake here.
Thanks, Robmc.

FTF @ 8:25 pm - Joint Find with SpyGirl3747
I was heading somewhere else for the weekend when this new cache had popped up and thought someone else would grab it before I returned home, but seems that the hot weather may have deterred others.
Being still not found when I arrived home from work I decided jump in the geo ute with SpyGirl and take the geodogs for an adventure as soon as it had cooled down a bit.
We arrived at the dam which is tucked away in a private manner among the pine plantation. The dogs jumped out of the ute with great excitement and made our way to GZ. A quick scan around revealed a likely spot and bingo there it was still with a blank log book. In my hast to retrieve the cache I must have accidentally brushed my arm against some nearby vegetation that was sharp enough to slice a small cut into my elbow.
Thank Bingley for bringing us to this nice secluded location, it would be a dam lot better without all the blackberries.
