Next, I made my way to this one. Despite a thorough search, the cache could not be located. Due to the number of DNFs, I think a CO check may be in order.
What a lovely spot. Found cache quickly. Log very wet. Laid it in the sun for a while to try and dry out. Added a piece of paper as log looked pretty full. FTC
Found, thanks for the great clue.
What a gorgeous tree.
Unfortunately log is soaking wet.
Needs replacing.

Hi there the_eths - having arrived at our initial destination (Cashmere) via 'The Shortcut' our trip has gone into holiday mode so Geocaching is about the only thing on the agenda. The lid is rusted off the container and the log was very wet. This cache was a quick find and sign along the way before continuing our drive. SL. This is our find #4720 - thanks to the_eths for this cache.
Here today to take part in the Mothers Day Classic 8km walk. A beautiful setting for cache! I didn't see any black swans, maybe next time!
Thanks for the cache, the_eths!
Thanks for the cache, the_eths!
Out and about today on this glorious Labour Day Public Holiday with my Dad and semi muggle husband . Our target spot was around Lake Samsonvale, so any caches we find around this gorgeous spot .
Being the public holiday, the place was packed with lots of people enjoying this spectacular day! I wasn't sure if this was going to be possible but I thought I'd go over and see if I could make the find stealth like .
Fortunately there was a tent over a table but no one there to my right and people looking at the lake to the left - wahoo! I made a really quick grab then sat down nearby to take a few photos and of course sign the log!
I replaced as found and then continued round the lake back to the car taking more photos. Will be back so amazing!!
Saw a lone black swan swimming. It looked a little like the Loch Ness monster .

Tin needs replacing , was fun had to sit at the tree and take photos for awhile as people everywhere a group walked past and looked frustrated I think they were chasing it aswell.
We drove our car closer towards the GZ after having parked further away and closer to a nearby Mystery cache final solution. At the GZ Geohubby remained with the car as Geoson wanted to "drive" for a bit. I headed over to such a beautiful and serene area that kinda made me glad Geoson wasn't interested in it. Woah, such a beautiful area! No black swans over this side of the lake, but we had seen one closer to where we were parked before. But back to task! There is a Geocache to be found! There were some older muggles not too far away, although fortunately my sitting position obscured me from view slightly as there was a branch down in between us. A poke here, a prod there. Oh, that is a beautifully sneaky hide. These are possibly my favourite type of hides, the cache isn't amazing, but the location and the proximity to so many muggles that are never any the wiser definitely appeals to me . Cache has seen better days and the lid has rusted though allowing some moisture into the log which was quite damp. My caching pen is still yet to fail me and managed to write on the damp log without issues and I had an attempt to dry the logbook slightly and the inside of the bag.
Cache was found on the 10th of April 2017 at 3.35pm. It was find number #313. Cache needs a bit of maintenance work. Thanks for the cache the_eths.

Nicely hidden! Had to use stealth with all of these muggles around. Thanks for the hide!
Found the cache tucked away safely - I thought it might have been in jeopardy following the recent heavy downpours. No Swans today, but the lovely Autumn weather made up for that. TFTC
Out for a walk by the lake on a hot afternoon - so nice to be near the water.
Cache was spotted on the ground near GZ. Lid was hard to open (fortunately had a tool available to assist). Replaced to the position we thought it should be.

#4259 [16:00] it was quiet afternoon, no swans around, but the tree was covered by attached bug's shells. thanks for this cache!
Another cache by the_eths that we are pleased to have found today. I apologise for my late logs. Life suddenly got very busy. Was very pleased to sign the log before replacing the cache. Cheers!
Out and about for a great day of caching with friends, found easily but no swans for us. TFTC
Out for the day caching with friends in an area of Brisbane that none of us had really cached in. Founds lots of interesting caches and wonderful parks. Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches here. Unfortunately no black swans today.
Was looking forward to seeing some black swans but not a single one in sight, beaut spot though. Thanks the eths and TFTC
I'm glad that I was here on a week day as I would assume the area would be swarming with muggles on a weekend.
I soon located the cache and then found that I had lost my pen at the previous cache so I had to return to the car for another pen so that I could sign the log. I didn't rally mind as it gave me a second chance to check out the views of the lake. No Black Swans today. Only a couple of pelicans.

Got a little confused for a moment and was looking for this one at the location of another cache. Hmmm, maybe time to go home? Found GZ easily due to description and finding the cache only took a min longer. Boy had someone really jammed it in its home. With some gentle persuasion (read: bit of force) cache was in my hands. Wet inside but log dry due to clipseal bag. Left it all out in the sun for a dry out whilst I enjoyed the view.

Didn't spot any of WA,s symbolic birds but a great spot nonetheless.
Nice hide.

A beautiful Black Swan came right out of the water to visit us on our walk around the lake and told us we were on the right track.
We found the cache and stopped to enjoy the beautiful afternoon and views. TFTC.

Out at Bullocky's Rest with a friend for a picnic today and the plan was to introduce her boy to geocaching while here. This was our first find for the day, found rather quickly by my friend on a rather glorious day. Thanks for the cache the_eths

Despite a fairly thorough search we couldn't find this one. TFTH, might be worth a CO check.
This is one of my favourite places to come hang out, however didn't find cache today
Cache is over two years old and less than 4km from home and I haven't clamped eyes on it (as far as I know)
*SIGH*. I'm slack.
I decided to pay a visit this afternoon. I didn't half pick the mint hour for a lovely sunset I parked up and made my way to GZ. There was a man and his son nearby but they soon scarpered off leaving me to sit at GZ alone.
Ashamedly it took me a bit of time to locate this blighter. It certainly is a hidden little beast. I signed the log and re-hid it as found. The log is full on this one - but people can still write their name in various bits of "white". I re-hid the cache as found.
Now black swans were swanning today - but still a few birds were about. A lovely area to visit. TFTC the_eths

Arrived early for the Mothers Day Classic fun run, so how else to fill in the time but a spot of caching
Thanks the eths
Thanks the eths
I enjoyed looking for this cache. Eminoz04 was having a trail ride nearby and I used the opportunity to find a few caches and relax by the lake. There were swans out and about - encouraged by a bread snack brought by some muggles - they are lovely birds, so graceful. I got to GZ and had a search, oooh very sneaky, love it! TFTC the eths and for my peaceful afternoon walk
Was still quiet enough to have a look for the cache! Spotted the cache, but no black swan. TFTC
Kids thought there were only black swans in Perth. Lunch here, clearly a popular spot.
It took all 4 pairs of eyes to search for this one, but finally, mom dug it out! Tftc
Having spent the early morning at the Look before you Leap Event, we then teamed up with Jabak123 to find a few caches in the area. We had a very enjoyable walk along the tracks and had a great chat along the way.
Thank you the_eths for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Started my day with the three in parks to avoid muggles. All three were DNFs. Luckily the rest of the day went well! I found the region mentioned in the clue - lots of cicada shells seen, but no log.
No swans today, only ducks. After an earlier DNF did quite a bit or searching until the cache was found. Good to get a smiley in the area. TFTC the_eths and for highlighting a lovely spot.
Good clear instructions but we couldn't find it. Pretty spot though. Will one back for a picnic. One day.
It is here, hidden really well and it is a bison tube not an eclipse tin. Log signed and cache replaced!! Tftc
Saturday. Slow Puncture attended Net88's Trip To Ireland event, and afterwards, thought we would raid some nearby unfound caches.
Once we found a parking spot, we wandered down to GZ and found nothing. Checked the hint which leaves no doubt about the location we were at.
As per Rong's recent log, we believe this cache is no longer there.
This was the 2nd of 2 DNFs on this trip. [xx(]
Thanks [Blue]the_eths[/Blue], for showing us this place, nonetheless.

Marco was providing cover for me so that I could search without being spotted by the muggles having picnics nearby. He was pointing where I should look. I came up empty handed so he took over the search and of course he found it in a different place to where he had told me to look! The container wasn't a mint tin as mentioned in the description. Yep. Still there. Beautiful area too. We were here for a BBQ with some friends, so of course I had to go look for a cache or three. TFTC

Wow. There were actually 2 black swans for us to view when we got here. Awesome! Took a few moments to find well hidden cache, signed and hid back where we found it. TFTC
What a pleasant place this is! As we were sitting on the tree roots feeling around for the cache, a young couple went past further on towards the water's edge into the sunset and placed a blanked and sat down together for a drink. A guy in his huge 4WD in the nearby carpark sat intently working on some sort of paperwork. It was calm and peaceful after a brief winder's day storm went through here a few hours earlier. Maybe it sent everyone else home, because it was a public holiday show day Wednesday, and no one else was about. Shame, really, but good for us to hunt. It did take a bit of finding though, as all very small caches in the bush tend to do, Found at 3.00pm on 12th August 2015. TFTC.
Geokids find again. Watch out for the little biters guarding their treasure!!!
Found with the geoniece and geonephew lost our own because the kids can't be trusted lol here's a picture for proof of find TFTC! Had us questioning if it was still there or not but we managed to find it
The weather has been so beautiful and it was no exception on this lovely Tuesday. We successfully found this cache while completing this series which is one of the nicest we have ever done. We also took the opportunity to find some of the other caches in the locality. Beautiful scenery and very peaceful. Some finds challenged us while others were found quite quickly - a good combination. Thanks to the_eths.
I parked at Bullocky's Rest and walked down, then realised I could have driven down. I almost overlooked the hide. Great day to be at the lake. TFTC
Cache 4 - mother's day geo romp. Geo Grand daughter Eagle eyes spotted it. Lots of angry ants minding it from muggles
[Blue]# 11911[/Blue] Found on our 2015 Winter escape trip to Qld.
Another fine Autumn day for caching around the suburbs.
After the CITO I made my way north back towards camp.
There were some muggles nearby but otherwise occupied at the BBQ.
Cheers from Wagga Wagga in the Riverina, NSW.
Thanks for the cache the_eths,

Not sure if it is in the right spot, was not a root, will put back in a location we think is a more correct location.

Found by Sunshine Toledo and Jinga2 at 2:41pm. I didn't think it was there but kept at it and it revealed itself. It is well hidden. TFTC
Initially we had difficulty finding this one but persistence paid off. Presumably the cache has moved a small distance due to the nasty ant nest which must be where it used to reside! Another eths find in a beautiful locale. Tftc the eths, all is well with this cache
Park was swimming with muggles...literally. I discreetly located the obvious hiding spot as the gps took me straight to the spot. After looking, scratching in the dirt, checking out other locations to see if it was misplaced, I came up empty-handed. I am disappointed because this is the only one of a group of sixteen in this area that was a DNF. Perhaps cache has found a new owner?
Found the paperbark however was unable to find the container after a good look around the general vicinity.
Needing to fill another day in my calendar I was off in search of a cache. A friend had expressed an interest in geocaching, so I thought, today will be the day and this will be a good one to introduce them to our hobby/addiction!
Today seemed to be oldies day out! There were a bus load of older gentlemen all sitting around one of the picnic tables on the way to GZ.
When we got to GZ we spotted the cache sitting out in the open! There is also a rather strange block of wood hanging from the tree! Ellabye and I both signed the logbook and returned the cache to it's hiding place. After reading the description, I realise there was a discrepancy and I have emailed the CO with the details. A new lesson for my newbie caching buddy, discretion and diversion... We spent awhile enjoying walking along the water and bird spotting in case any of the oldies had gotten any ideas to watch us!

Cleaning up a few of the hides around the area and this was next on the map. Spotted a few of the caches namesakes included one rather large one that seemed to follow us for a while.
Quite day with no one around so a nice easy find and on to the next one. TFTC

A quick find on a quiet afternoon of caching.
I looked and looked but I couldn't see any swans out here today.
I did find the cache so at least I got something.
