Destroyed in the January 2020 bushfires, along with the infrastructure upon which the cache was based.
This cache was destroyed in the January bushfires which extensively ravaged the south coast region. The infrastructure upon which the cache depended was also totally destroyed and no decision has yet been made to rebuild it. So a decision whether to replace this cache will not be made in the foreseeable future.
We think this one may have been destroyed in the bushfires. Large sections of the gardens have gone.
Very sneaky hide. Went for what I thought might be GZ, but switched up my way of thinking and had CIH nice and quickly. Tftc!
queenofscots & bobstaf have been geocaching & sightseeing for the past 2 1/2 weeks with over 30 other cachers from USA, canada & puerto rico....... we left auckland on 11/8 aboard the celebrity solstice......cruised around new zealand and over to tasmania, finally arriving in sydney, australia, ......
now it's time for the two of us to say goodbye to our friends as we continue to explore southeast australia .......so we pick up our rental car at the sydney airport as our adventure continues .....driving on the opposite side of the highway will add to the thrill......while we enjoy our final week at a time share as we can explore the beaches & 'bush' before returning to virginia
look right....KEEP LEFT....it's my job to make certain so that we don't craash...... & we now have 'sim' cards in our smart phones so that we can be 'smart' enough to find some geocaches along the way......sooooo off we go, hoping to see some kangaroo and more.......TCTF, queenie
spent several hours exploring the trails at the botanical garden near our resort......... had a 'stand off' with a grey kangaroo (he watched us as we watched him), but got some interesting photos.....and i still really hate the flies

Queenofscots and I are touring Australia enjoying the sights and finding a few caches. Like the high quality of containers here in Australia.
Having a great time.
Having a great time.
Out for the day after going to Myrtle Beach. Decided to stop at gardens. This one was on the meandering path we chose. Container made no sense in the location but fit the name and hint. Log is missing and have sent you a message with photo just to be 100% sure that is it. Tftc
Found on day 7 of Fergzters holiday which took us from Ballarat to OzGeomuster at the Gong. Now we are on day 2 of our travel southwards to home. What a great little find this garden was. Great necessary and a group of caches. A great way to spend an hour or two. Upon approaching the GZ I saw something not quite right from a distance and knew it had no business being here. Sure enough it was the cache. The baggy is torn up pretty bad but the log is perfectly signable. TFTC readtherocks.
Time for a waddle around these gardens
First time I've visited,
and I'm impressed already
Here by the pond and picinic spot,
I needed the clue before the cache was loctated
A poke of something and with a satisfying 'click',
a cache was found
TFTC and cool camo !!

Day trip from to collect some caches to fill in some stats. Not what I was expected, but a fun hide. TFTC!
Day 13: Clear Waters Mega Trip
The plan for today is a drive down to Batemans Bay picking up a variety of desirable statistics. Then looping around for counties.
Should we or shouldn’t we!! Lol!
Thanks readtherocks for being part of my Clear Waters adventure.

Came here this morning for a wander around the Gardens and find the caches herein, most were easy finds with the odd one a bit harder,

We had noticed this batch of caches in an enticing location that involved the type of geo-hike we enjoy. We were certainly not disappointed, and we also had the added bonus of being able to do some excellent birding at the same time, and so many thanks to the CO for having laid the trail that gave us a great morning out! The clue for this one helped ensure a reasonably quick find once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the good fun cache and greetings from Zimbabwe
Found at 12:43:00 PM.
Staying at Batehaven for a few days and decided to go for a wander through the Euorobodalla Botanic gardens. We had a very enjoyable time wandering the paths in the gardens with the bonus of geocaches to add further interest. Nice clever hide.

Very sneaky hide. Loved the pump. Took a long time to find ! No ducks but watched black snake in the pond.
Eurobodalla Regional Botanic Gardens. Great location to walk and relax in the bush. Enjoying nature. With some caches to go. Thank you to readtherocks.
Great day out with the family! Kids loved the playground and spotting all the wildlife. The adults enjoyed the strawberries in the picnic. So many great walks to enjoy as a family, we ended up spending most of the day here. TFTC.
Ingenious cache, very impressed with the container, would not have found it without Jump Pilot.

First of the day and a right quacker it was; loved the cache and it's location. We spent a great morning in the gardens which were really impressive. Met loads of marsupials and also a lovely volunteer at the centre who had once stayed in Kirkby Stephen, Cumbria, UK where I worked for 30 years...small world.
FP of course.
Thanks for all the fun.

Over from Canberra with fitzy_1965 for a weekend south coast caching run
So much better being on the coast with it's sparkling ocean and cool breezes than boiling hot Canberra! And lovely to cool down after a hot day of caching than with an icy cold beer at the campsite!
Coords were slightly out at this one. Spied the hide after we wandered over to have a look at the beautiful water features. If only there was a functional one overhead to cool us down!
Thanks for hide, readtherocks

15,348. Found during a meander around the south coast with specimenX on a hot hot weekend.
A last minute plan was hatched to spend the weekend away from the Canberra mega-heat and put up with the coast heat with specimenX. This was the next stop along the highway. Heading into the Botanical Gardens for a caching walk we stopped here for the next find. Took a few minutes until we looked at the clue and found the fitting item ! Love the container ! Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks readtherocks !!

We ducked on down for a quick look for our first cache in this park. Something odd soon spotted and log soon in hand.
Now on to the rest (if we don't go deaf first from the cicadas)

We got close then it was Pigtail Magee, thinking about the clue who spotted it.
Great cache.

Found with Shelley0 on our great week in and around BB. Fishing, swimming, golfing, rockhopping, and generally touring around this great part of the country. So, so jealous.
We had a lot of trouble here with the coords, should've just trusted the hint, and searched accordingly.
Thanks again RTR

My GPS found GZ at the bench next to the tree in the open (not under the pergola) I search that and then extended the search. A DNF for me .
On a few days caching around the south coast and these gardens were a good place to start todays walk. Mr S spotted this cool hide but we were wary of a couple of muggle workers until one of them asked us if we were Geocachers. Uuhm yes, we answered. Well, hi, I’m the cache owner. Lovely to meet you readtherocks and thanks for all the information on the gardens and the work you do.
Greetings from New Zealand.

I was a little shocked when I finally found this cache.... I am not so sure it is a wise thing to do to encourage anyone to start trying to take these sorts of things apart. ANyway, found it after 3-4 minutes scratching around.
We've had a relaxing morning but decided to head out for a short caching run round town this afternoon.
Well, we messed this up a bit. Didn't actually read the cache notes which tell you when this place is actually opened, so we rocked up on Monday afternoon. Lucky for us the gates weren't locked, so we went for a walk in the park and found all 7 caches within the boundary of the botanical gardens. We missed the one at the water storage dam as a bloke came up to us in the car as we were driving up to it to tell us he was about to lock the highway gates. It could have been a miserable night stuck in the car if we couldn't get out!
This one was found by Mr SKI after seeing something out of place. Our GPS had us about 10 metres away.

What a great cache! Love the thought that has gone into it... sometimes the obvious isn't always what it seems! TFTC!
Great hide but concerned that youngsters might start checking these electrical items out for caches in others places which could be quite shocking. Tftc favourite awarded
I quite enjoyed this series of caches. This was our first find. I knew that we were in for a more interesting ride than your average sistema after this one.
Thanks for putting in the effort.
Cheers

Out With my GeoFamily great place for a day out, Good food and drinks. PS Grass not at GZ.
On a trip around East Gippsland that will eventually take us passed Sydney. Stopping off at Eden and Harrington plus a few other places and I will be occasionally picking up a geocache along the way. Today was Batemans Bay Botanical Gardens lucky day and I thank readtherocks for placing this cache in this wonderful location.
My iPhone coords were off, but using the name and hint helped. When I tried to open it wouldn't, but I was with a previous finder who told me I was right. Finally between muggle families I was able to have a good go. As per previous finder there was no log. Had a spare bag and piece of paper so added to cache. Tftc!!!
Decided to go get some caches while down in the bay for football, found it but no log. TFTC!
Mr Geo had this one pegged & soon we were signing the log. Can't wait to bring our daughter here. The Geo grandkids love the gardens so getting them here won't be hard. Giving this one a fav for the clever hide. Kutgw
Today we made a trip over Moruja to Batemans Bay. We visit the botanical garden and the beatiful area arround. We could find all the caches after a little searching. Thanks to the owner. All containers were in good condition

A caching day out from the ACT to find a few caches in the bay and this series looked like a great place to start.
This cache had me confused about hint and location however geo kid found this after about 10mins. Great hide, but is it a micro?? Tftc.
